The Full Moo has a great choice of ice cream flavours which taste lovely. I wanted to write a review to highlight the amazing customer service. After ordering and recieving my double cone, unfortunatly after only a couple of licks the ice cream tipped over and fell to the ground. The end of my ice cream I thought and enviously watched my boyfriend with his. As we walked away from the boat back to the park we were stopped. The person said she worked on the boat and had seen what had happened to my ice cream and could she get me a replacement. She went back to the boat and returned with another cone which was most enjoyable. I didn't catch your name but thank you again, this was a brillant experience and so thoughtful.

Walking along the river Ouse on a hot July day we stumbled upon this delightful ice cream boat! Perfect way to break up a steamy walk. Right near park on the river.

What can be better than sitting by the Ouse on a sunny day watching York's little red boats, other river craft and ducks cruising by? How about adding the delights of an ice cream served from the river itself. Now I'm no David Attenborough but I'm sure that cows are not known generally for their aquatic skills. However, York holds many secrets and one of them is a floating cow. OK, in reality this one stands on top of the ice cream boat named The Full Moo and can be found moored (or mooed!) near Lendal bridge most summer weekends and many weekdays too. It's a novelty, convenient, charming and quirky. Service is excellent, polite and cheery and the flavours are varied and interesting. An UDDER delight.

So many good flavours that I had to have 2. I went for rhubarb and lemon curd, which were both delicious. My husband had the honeycomb which was also good. £5.30 for 2 (one scoop & flake and a 2 scoop)

Noticed the cow when we went past on the York Boat / naturally our instincts kicked in for ice cream! Lemon Curd / Raspberry Sorbet was very nice indeed Lemon Curd / Salted Caramel ... just works!! Try it! Wonderful and hope to see you again soon enough Only lost a point because hopefully more choice of flavour will be available soon.

Some ice cream is very expensive in York for just ice cream, this however felt like good yummy value So glad we found it next to the bridge and will def visit again next time we are in York We tried the choc mint and caramel & honeycombe with a flake - what more could you ask for on a sunny afternoon down by the river ;)

Outside of Devon, this boat is my favourite place to get ice cream! I discovered the boat last year on a family trip to York, so was excited to see it sailing down the Ouse again this year; once it moored in the park we didn't hesitate! Great range of amazing flavours, including various vegan options, which are equally as amazing as the dairy options available! I adore the quirky aesthetic, the setting, but most importantly the service is friendly, quick, and patient. I highly recommend grabbing a scoop or two and sitting on the river, or walking into the main area of the park, it makes a really great experience! Also, they take card! (My recommendation: 1 strawberry, 1 honeycomb in a waffle cone. Perfect.)

This is such a fun and novel ice cream kiosk being in a river boat. We treated ourselves to an ice cream on a sunny afternoon in York and weren't disappointed as they were delicious!

I've been here a few time with friends, the staff are friendly, they have dairy free options (which is great for my friend)! It's all eco friendly too! 10/10

The best ice cream in York by a long way, and solar powered! What's not to like? Love the caramel flavour!

There’s ice-cream along the river for love wanders there. Pale scoops in a cone, dark flavours in a tub. Just beside the stunning museum gardens, grab an ice cream then dangle your legs over the riverbank and enjoy!

The boat is situated in a great spot near lendal bridge . Each morning we watched the boat mooring up from our hotel, so we couldn't resist trying the ice cream when we were out for a stroll on Sunday. The strawberry and rhubarb flavours were so refreshing. We will certainly visit the boat again when we are next in York.

This was so good we went two days running. The lady serving was lovely. It’s a really quirky outlet with delicious flavours. I’m a massive fan of the lemon curd. There are loads of lovely places nearby to sit and enjoy the ice cream. Highly recommended

El helado es genial especialmente la cuajada de limón. Me encanta el hecho de que es un barco, lo único que diría es que el personal podría ser un poco más amable, pero aparte de eso, vale la pena una visita si estás dando un paseo por el río en un día soleado.

Lovely creamy ice cream. Flavours a bit out of the ordinary, e.g. Chocolate and sea salt, good quality but the waffle cones are so thin and flaky you are in constant danger of losing the ice cream, they flake and break as soon as you attempt to eat it. We had to go back for a tub to put it in and one of them had to have 2 cones in one. Invest in sturdy cones or run the risk of dis satisfied customers as their just bought ice cream hits the floor!!

The ice cream flavours on the board were 'bourbon vanilla', 'roasted strawberry', etc. The actual flavours just tasted like regular strawberry and vanilla. They were nice but nothing spectacular For 4 single ice creams the cost was £9 odds.

I’ve ordered from here a few times now and sam is really polite and helpful when it comes to what I ask for. Would definitely ask for Sam when going into the store because he knows what he’s doing and is very helpful.
