Disgusting food poor service and be prepared to wait 40 minutes, I do not recommend this takeaway to anyone

Can't belive it's taken me this long to write this! Such a lovely bunch of people! Owner is there always he is unbelievably hard working, so organised and on the ball this shows in his staff! The shop is immaculate, always someone wiping down some area, theres not an ounce of mess! The place is always bustling, people happy to wait on their freshly cooked to order fish, meals etc. Try the munchie box! I've have more than I dare to admit

Ordered via Justeat.com about 4p.m for a later delivery, restaurant accepted the order and delivery time was listed as 1 minute before our preferred time. This gradually got later and later, until it was 30 minutes past our preferred time, it came 40 minutes late in the end, just as we had decided to cancel. Very glad that it was just the two of us and that we didn't have guests waiting to be fed. On opening the bag of food we discovered that the chips, that were supposed to come with the meal, were missing (even though we had paid for them in with the meal) so we only had a small ot of rice between 2 of us, not good. We decided against ringing and complaining as it's not like they would send another pack of chips out in time to serve with the meal. We have ordered from there before with no problems, so I can only assume they were having a bad day. The food that arrived was very nice though with plenty of meat and vegetables, almost as good as a proper Northen Chinese takeaway.

After making an order on just eat this evening....waiting 90 mins and then receiving a cancelled order from them. No way to keep customers!

First time using the Fry Inn, excellent, we will use again. Lovely fish and chips, one of the best we have had. Delivery time very quick. Have tried a few others in the Hoole/Upton area and this one is the definitely the best. Prices good.

So glad we did, food is bob on ere, really good crispy batter excellent chips too, will be our regular now great service !!

We’re lucky it’s our local chippy. Always good food and good service. They have even given us a couple of sausages for the dog while we wait. Couldn’t recommend them enough

Siempre llegué a este chippy porque siempre es buena comida. Nunca decepciona. El personal siempre es acogedor y conversador. El servicio es muy eficiente y se nota que son personas muy trabajadoras. Always polite and friendly even when they are packed with customers always seem to get the food on time to you always eating here

Este siempre ha sido un chippy decente durante años, pero desde que Ed se hizo cargo, lo ha llevado a otro nivel, la calidad de toda la comida que cocinan es insuperable y la limpieza es excelente.El equipo que tiene detrás de él también es fantástico, siempre recibe la atención con una sonrisa y una cálida bienvenida.

Mi hijo fue a buscarnos Fish and Chips de la posada de alevines la semana pasada y tengo que decir que soy bastante quisquilloso con respecto a dónde obtengo mi Fish and Chippy's, pero eran los mejores que he probado en mucho tiempo, las patatas fritas estaban recién salidas de la freidora y también el pescado. Las patatas fritas eran firmes y esponjosas de color claro por dentro. El bacalao era delicioso y crujiente por fuera y blanco puro y cocinado a la perfección.Los disfrutamos tanto que los volvimos a comer esta noche y de nuevo cocinados a la perfección. Realmente los disfrutamos de nuevo. Así que estamos de acuerdo con nosotros. ? ????

Por lo general, vamos aquí por sus excelentes kebabs, pero esta noche probamos el banquete chino para 2 ¡y fue increíble! ! 2 x sopas de pollo y maíz dulce, 2 x costillas a la barbacoa, 2 x rollitos de primavera, gran porción de arroz frito con pollo, una bolsa de galletas de gambas y 2 comidas chinas de su elección, una gran cantidad de comida para 22. 50.Recomiendo encarecidamente esta comida para llevar ya que es una de las mejores de Chester.

We eat from here every week the food is always excellent the staff are very friendly and the place is always spotless

I can not stress enough, please check your order before taking it home. Having to go back AGAIN because what the girl repeated to be in the bag wasn't. This is the 3rd time in 12 months.Yes the food is usually nice, having to pick it up twice is very annoying.

Teníamos pescado y papas fritas 1 con guisantes, el pescado era hermoso, las papas fritas eran geniales, pero los guisantes sabían un poco dulce y estaban muy líquidas, no estaban bien.El personal era realmente agradable y servicial y, en general, este llevar es una visita obligada, no te decepcionará.

Have been here many times for takeaway. The service has always been prompt and there is an impressive selection of dishes to choose from. Everything has always been cooked to perfection, and they offer decent portion sizes so you get a good full meal.

On a visit to Chester i decided to go for a fish and chips and this place popped up and glad it did. Great quality and very friendly staff. Excellent job guys.

Haven’t been for ages and decided to see if any improvement made in last few months. Most of the order was okay but they really should sort their fish out. It was as tough as old boots.

3rd visit in a row and the 3rd time they have either short changed me around £1, overcharged or have got my order wrong on returning home. Shame as this was one of the best Fish & Chip shops around. I won't be coming back. They need to remove the inept young server from the shop. The other staff work hard but are let down by her inability to listen, use a till or add up. Use your phone to add it up yourself if you go. If being short changed isn't bad enough you might find you've gone large with the peas / beans / curry even if you haven't asked for it - their policy I was told. I don't like leaving negative reviews but whats the point of feedback if it isn't honest ?

Under new management and service and food not quite the same as it was previously. The 'old' staff are doing their best but new owners need to organise service. Can wait quite a long time for even a basic order and don't order a burger if you're in a rush. Still a bit worried that they don't display their food hygiene rating.

Assistant started to take our order, the walked away and answered a phone, then went over and started serving other customers. We spoke to another to get the assistant to return and finish taking our order. The assistant returned to deal with us but again answered the phone. I found this to be very rude. When the food finally arrived the order was wrong (NO WONDER). The food, well. The omlette was very greasy. Will definitely not be going back.

Under new management....not the same. Service good, chips ok...fish was wet and didn't taste of the cod we used to get. Such a shame. Will have to find a new place for our fish and chips

We have only just found how fabulous this little gem is. The food choice at the place is amazing and the prices are so reasonable. The staff are so friendly and you can have a laugh and a chat with them whilst waiting for your order. The best chippy around I would say

The young girl that served us was very rushed was dropping food everywhere was very unmanned to customers and very rude and was very disrespectful to the other staff she spoke to him like he was worthless . The kabab was undercooked and resulted in a bad belly. The fish was horrible and chewy will not be returning again, very sad to see a good chippy go down hill :(

I placed my oder, paid the money and after 40 minutes found out they forgot about to proceed with it, 40 minutes of my life was wasted!! despicable, awful service! Rude stuff!

I have recently visited with my family, we had ordered a large chinese order and the food was excellent I've never had food like it, it was all perfectly cooked and tasted great. The staff had ensured all the food was correct and in there too. Wonderful service will definitely return.

I have been in the area with my family, as we had recently visited the zoo. From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed and the staff were very attentive. The food was wonderful, we had some excellent Chinese, and the fish was beautifully cooked the batter was perfect thickness.

So very pleased to be able to share a wonderful mixed dim sum plus chicken fried rice tonight after a very long day's DIY. I also highly recommend the vegetarian fried rice and veggie Kung Po .. stuffed full of cashew nuts :)

We always have our Fish & Chips from The Fry Inn, the staff are polite, the food is always very hot, there is an excellent choice if you don't want Fish & Chips. Give it a try!

Great chippy and great banter from the friendly and helpful staff. The chips are "Cooked", as in not white like boiled greasy things that other chippy's in the area are serving up. Kebabs are spot on and the Chinese dishes are spot on too and full of flavour. Well worth a visit if you are hungry and your in the area.

We have been going to this chippy for years now, best donner kebab in so long it was made to order, reasonably priced and the staff are so considerate and friendly.

We all went for visit at the Chester zoo and decided to go for meal in a chippy. We was very impressed. All was well done, fresh,prices was much more affordable then buy meals in zoo and only 2 min away. Definitely going back.

6 months ago, we ordered bbq chicken wing. Got home to find them in a red sauce that tasted weird, went back, only to be told it is bbq and there's is red, no refund and not allowed to swop for anything else, then I was sent on my way, I put them in the bin outside there shop. The other night daughter went to chippy, she got burger and chip, when opened at home, the burger bun and burnt a lot, she wasn't going back out to complain as it was late, surely they seen it was burnt and could of warm up another bun in the grill, instead of giving her a burnt one,

I went to get a takeaway for my family and me and we ordered a chicken kebab and a mixed kebab but all of the chicken in the kebabs where raw and a complete disregard for health and safety clearly

Not just "fish & chips" as there is a vast range of other dishes listed on the walls, sadly this demonstrates their jack-of-all-cuisines (and mastering none) approach. Friendly staff. Just about crispy batter on the outside but let down by soggy batter inside - indeterminate 'white' fish had a strange aftertaste. Copious amounts of very average chips. Mushy peas were poor. Pricey for what you are given. Guess they can get away with mediocre cooking skills as they have a prime location on the A41.

The Fry Inn is my local chippy. It serves high quality fish and chips and staff are always friendly and hard working.

Have been coming here since 2012 when we moved to the area. A great chippy with plenty of choice. Also does Chinese meals and has a kids menu.
