Staff are very approachable and friendly. Had a few questions and more than happy to explain. Foods great for a fastfood joint. Would recommend.

Great burger chain. Fairly fast service even when busy. Have deep pockets, it's expensive.

I wasn't going to write a review but I'm doing it solely to highlight how good workers the 2 girls who were running the place were on Wednesday, August 7 during lunch shift. Only 2, working super fast and organized even though customers arrived in waves and placing orders. They apologized for the wait but seeing how they worked it was more than justified, it's nice when you go to a place and see the staff so efficient. A 10 for them! (PS. Delicious food as always)

Burger left on grill, for too long, we watched it burn while no one attended to it, bun was a bit stale, and salted caramel milkshake was just vanilla with sauce round the cup, just not made to a proper standard, not good when paying £20+ for a meal.

My first five guys. The staff were so polite and talked me through the menu. Food was high quality and well worth the price! A once in a year treat that was very much enjoyed.

Hugely overpriced. Dried up single hotdog sausage of the poorest quality on a few fried onions and even fewer mushrooms. Wouldn't be enough to feed a cat. Cost the best part of a tenner for about 50p worth of food.

We had burger and chips. It was an excellent burger and chips, probably the best I've had for a long time. If you want a great burger and chips then this is your place. It was expensive though. £40 for 3 burgers, one large chips and a milkshake.

I always leave with expectations met, I like their food

Burger was really nice, it is a little expensive for ŵhat it is. Restaurant very basic. Only 2 of us, had 1 small burger, 1 cheesy hot dog and 1 chips between us as you do get loads of chips and a drink each, nearly £30.

I didn't realize that Five Guys had franchised internationally. There wasnt a big crowd while we were there. but the facility was nice enough and A Five Guy burger was just as I remembered it.

Normal five guys burger and fries but the drinks machine poured warm poorly flavoured drinks. Avoid the drinks.

Really enjoyed the food here, It was my first time at 5 guys, The staff were friendly and very helpful, absolutely busting after eating, had a burger fries and a milkshake, everything was spot on,

Ordered through deliveroo. Waited 2 hours but the restaurant and deliveroo blamed each other. Food was ok but not at its hottest. The bacon was burned and the cheese had all melted off and was stuck to the tinfoil. No straws were sent for the milkshakes. Wouldn't get a delivery from them again. Definitely not worth £44 and wouldn't of let my partner order if I knew the price and definitely wont be going back.

First Five Guys experience..and last, if this is what they're all like. Painfully overpriced, utterly average burger and chips. Luckily I was away for work and I can claim the cost of the meal back as if I'd spent my own money on this flavourless meal, I'd have been gutted. Genuinely would have been better off going to McDonald's, and I say that as someone who can't stand McDonald's.

First time here. We had our grandson with us and he wanted to try Five Guys. Not my cup of tea to be honest. I feel it's well over priced for what is pretty average food at best. My cheese burger wasn't the best and the bun was squashed as it was in the bottom of the bag. Why they put the food in bags when you are eating in I don't know. Paid £50 plus for three burger meals. Frankly I would have enjoyed Burger King more for £20 less.I don't mind paying for good food. In my opinion Five Guys fell well short.

Three burgers, one hotdog, two fries and four drinks. £72. I honestly thought the guy serving me had made a mistake. The order was delivered in a large paper bag and buried under loose fries that had been shovelled in on top of everything. We were then able to eat some damp burgers and insanely salty fries off a small piece of tin foil. For £72. The milkshakes we ordered arrived after we had finished the meal. And the state of the toilets… 🤢🦠 Clearly a lot of people love this concept & experience and for £40 maybe I wouldn’t have spent the whole time in shock muttering “seventy two pounds”. But this was our first and last Five Guys experience - come back Maccy D, all is forgiven! And did I mention that it was £72??? 🤣 Never again.

great experience for a spot of lunch today had a lovely milkshake and a customised veggie sandwich and it was really nice and Richard the cashier was attentive and friendly thankyou

Got food poisoning from an undercooked burger

The service boy was very good. When i asked a doubt regarding ingredient. He was ready to look it. And clarify it.

I went there yesterday with my wife and little daughter for our first time . And it will be and the last time for sure. We ordered 2 cheeseburgers and a hamburger, large fries no drinks ,£43. All hamburgers with no taste at all and looking so terrible. Fries extra dried. I looked in the kitchen to see that they had 4 big white large plastic buckets in which they had frozen fries on defrosting. Plus 7 oil baskets with chips already cooked and ready to be re-fried god knows how many times. I had to go and ask for a thin foil container to put our fries since they gave me fries in a drinking cup. A drinking cup!!

Staff were great, most customers left the tables clear apart from one family who must live in a pig style, felt sorry fir the young lady who had to clear up the mess. Food was dull and flavourless, although it was cooked ok it's hard to see what the fuss is all about, for £40 odd for 3 small burgers and fries served in tinfoil and a paper cup. Overall, it was way too expensive. Much much better available for the price

Cant comment on the food as we only had milkshakes but they were lovely, my favourite place to go for a milkshake

Heard a lot of good things about 5 guys, turns out it’s all rubbish. £12 for a damp little burger wrapped in tinfoil. Floor, tables walls, all dirty, bins full, staff wondering about. We got 4 burgers and one cone of chips, £50. Should have just gone to McDonalds, wouldn’t mind the price if the burgers were a decent size or fresh. Avoid at all costs!!

Popped the 5 Guys cherry yesterday...don't see what the fuss is about. Very overpriced for what is essentially a fast food burger bar! Service was good, team behind the counter were great. Food it's self was mediocre at best, was expecting much more for the money. I've tried it now at least and can honestly say I'd rather spend my money with one of the many independent places that are about.

Five Guys has never disappointed me for my Burger and fries fix, really nice! Maybe a bit pricy but you do gets loads of topping choice and the milkshakes are pretty good to.

Always reliable if you want a filthy (in a good way!) burger built to your own spec. The milkshakes are addictive too!

There are a multitude of fast food businesses in the UK. But these people really stand out. The burgers are brilliant. The veggie sandwich is supreme. The fries are beyond anything I've ever tasted. Couple all that with the wonderful staff and you've got sheer nirvana on a bun. My go to dining experience when I visit Chester. Excellent!

I've come to this place since lockdown, the food has always been amazing and so has the service. I was here the other day and the burger was cold and raw in the middle. Not medium rare but dark red, raw. I wouldn't have written the review so negatively if the customer service was upto Five Guys standards. When I sent it back the staff looked at me in disgust and then went off and I could here them whispering. Then another staff member came to the grill and kept looking back. It made me feel extremely uncomfortable.

Awful customer service, the lady behind the counter was rude and sounded like she'd rather lick the floor than take our order. Milkshake had barely any chocolate and mayo was kept in the wrong condition and was a little off.

We called in as we fancied something differet for a change, Looked at the menu and chose 2 Burgers, Fries and a drink.....£30 which to me seemed to be expensive for what it was, The burgers were nice but nothing special and have had better in normal pubs. Staff could have smiled a bit and looked as glum as I did when I saw the prices!!!

£9.95 for a flavourless cheese burger and over £5 for tepid old fries. If they think that's value for money they are mistaken. BK is better. I won't be darkening their doorstep again

Food was lovely this was my first visit to five guys,the staff explained the process. Chips came just thrown in the bag over the other burgers , food was tasty and quick service

This is a joke we ordered on just eat and we both got milkshakes with peanut butter no peanut butter was ordered. okay for me but my mate has a nut allergy. He called the store only to talk to a rude woman who said she was the manager and told him to contact just eat. Lucky the allergy isn't severe. This shows complete incompetence from the staff at five guys chester and I highly recommend a full re training of staff occurs.

I've heard a lot of praise of Five Guys and thought that there's no way their food can live up to the hype but it did. It might be pricier than other fast food chains but the burger I had was better than most hipster burger joints that charge 50% more for something half the size.

The food is consistent and always tastes fresh and tasty but the price for what it is will always let Five Guys down unfortunately.

Always quiet table wise but they get battered by delivery orders. Service a little slow due to this, but there were only 3 Guys. Burger, as always, spot on. Cant go wrong.

Well that's ruined McDonalds now. Kinda like how Disney World makes Alton Towers unbearable. Burgerlicious.

It has good service its clean and food is Mcdonald like but way expensive Small burger small fries and a soft drink £11.55 Wow! In June 2023 its gone over £14 now for the same items.

The manager there was so rude. I ordered a burger with my friend and simply asked which one was which as they were in the same bag. Looked at me with a look of disgust and told me to figure it out myself. Rest of the staff were great but I don’t know where he gets off thinking he is better than everyone else.

We went and it was very quiet inside but it was fantastic service by the 2 women inside and the food was as expected and great atmosphere when others finally came in and the refill drinks are very refreshing worth it all

These guys, all five of them make the best shakes going. Creamy and plentiful. I opted for the larger shake costing £5.65 with whipped cream and it did not disappoint.

Went in the restaurant late evening, charged for 2 meals, when we got served the staff insisted I only paid for one meal, so I paid again. Just checked my bank statements and they over charged me. 2 burger and chips, 2 meals £36. Staff are dishonest and insincere. Don’t go in to this place!

Prices are extremely high not worth the money, food is okay I could have probably made this at home. Milkshakes were more like ice cream I bought a small fries and a hotdog with a small milkshake and it came to £17.80p !!

I have always liked 5 Guys burgers, from Canada to the UK. But the young lad who served us tonight is standout brilliant. Helping us with the order and getting everything just right! This Chester venue is a credit to the franchise. Highly recommended for the service as well as the food!

Food was good and plenty of it, little bit of a longer wait then expected for fast food but taste and quality far better then competition, Price was a little on the high side but plenty of seating and was clean.

We had bacon double cheese burgers ( all the way ) toppings . Burgers were delicious and fries were really nice . Wait for cooking was short and one of the best parts of the visit was the staff, pleasant, welcoming and friendly. Well done five guys Chester 5☆

Beautiful burgers and chips but soooo expensive

My first visit in a Five Guys restaurant and I enjoyed it. The food was made quickly, was hot and yummy too. On my visit there was plenty of seats available and toilets for customers also. The staff were friendly and efficient.

Burgers were fine, but 4.14£ for a soft drink... Oh Boy

I've had their burgers a few times and they're just ok, a bit bland... I’d rather go to maccies and get big tasty meal for £7.50 or spend £15-20 in hickory’s or miller&carter and eat a proper burger.

Incredibly tasty burgers. Price is a bit high but they are known for that. They list where the potatoes used that day were grown, which is a nice bonus.

Food and drinks are all nice enough prices higher than similar fast food but the milkshakes are very nice.

Awful experience ordered a cheeseburger regular chips and milkshake was £20 the burger was £9.45 on its own and was shocking for the money my partner was ill not long after eating it worst food no flavour and an upset stomach won't be returning

My receipt says I was served by William, he really made my evening after I told him I was having a particularly bad day today ,I said thank you a million times but thank you again, I've never experienced such a lovely team than the team I've met here.

Called in early evening the place was very cold due to the main door had been sprained so wouldn't shut properly. Nice burger and fries but the hotdogs was a bit tough to bite into which put the kids off.

Good burger and chips worth a visit.

I've always enjoyed Five Guys before when eating in. This time, we were eating out but had the longest wait to get our food, it must've been at least 25 min. There was definitely a lack of staff to cope with the number of customers coming in. When we finally got to our car to eat in, the burger foil wrapper wasn't big enough to hold it all in, and the burger was getting all over the place. 😄 The burgers and crisp fries are very tasty, but I don't justify the prices they charge for it. To me, Five Guys is a 'treat' on a day out somewhere, and next time I'll make sure I eat in and have a table.

A bit over priced for what you get and to be honest the service can be better for the price. Took a long time to get food and when I finally got it there was no eye contact or any other communications apart from the number being shouted out.

Ordered 4 burgers which at best are slightly better than McDonalds. They somehow got my order wrong and missed off the bacon. When I realised I went back and told them and was given 2 small slices of cold burnt bacon which I wouldn’t give to my dog. Dreadful place and will not be returning.

Food was delicious as always, wait wasn't too long either staff were helpful and friendly. Can be very expensive though, nice as a treat every now and then though would definitely recommend if you like a really good burger.

Great burgers, what more do you need to know

I've been to a few 5 guys around the country and this was BY FAR the best. Fun and welcoming staff, delicious burgers and probably the best fries I've ever eaten. Worth the premium over the other chains

It's five guys let's be honest if you've got rye wallet for it get in grab a burger and fill your boots staff and friendly and professional and will look after you just fine

Ordered through just eat so I was nervous the burgers would be ruined but they were amazing .. the Cajun chips were amazing and I’m not a huge chips fan .. top notch
