Perfect visit! We visited as camping local and booked before we came to the area! Sun was out and food was exceptional! We got a big chilly so the staff even gave us their cardigans, so we appreciated them a lot! Thank you so much for a great welcome, would love to come back soon!

Nice pub pricey staff are very polite and most are helpful very busy when the suns out but you always get served fairly quickly. Highly recommended. If you’re in the area. Make sure you put your car registration in the machine at the counter to avoid a fine.

Stopped off for lunch today at the Frog after a long walk. Staff were friendly food was amazing we opted for the Tapas and both of us really enjoyed it. Fair price and really good portion size would definitely go back. Reccomend the Tapas.

Nice location but ruined by rude, unfriendly, unwelcoming staff. The young girl at the bar is severely lacking in social skills. Drinks expensive and can only purchase wine by the glass in one size - not the norm these days. Ladies toilets absolutely filthy; one sink out of order (and apparently has been for several months), wallpaper peeling, thick grime behind hand dryer. You can hardly see out of the windows in the bar as they're so dirty, and there are cobwebs galore. I honestly don't think this place has ever seen a cleaner. Had I seen this before ordering food I wouldn't have bothered. I ordered a pizza that was clearly made from a frozen, as opposed to hand made, base. Disappointing for the cost. I won't be back.

Decided to visit The Frog for a second time following a successful first visit afew weeks ago. Well the 2nd visit was an absolute disaster as far as food was concerned. It was a Wed lunchtime so not busy. Our party consisted of 4 adults, 2 of whom ordered the steak sandwich, 1 the steak and I ordered the Halloumi wrap. The steak was medium to well done even though request was medium rare and the steak sandwiches consisted of 2 slices of cheap white bread, probably a value supermarket brand, cheap, thin scraps of brown meat, melted cheese slices (plastic cheese) and bits of something undescribable and oozing mayo. It looked disgusting. The halloumi wrap wasn't much better but I ate it due to being hungry. The remainder of the meals were not eaten. I complained and I did not pay for the steak sandwiches or steak. So very, very disappointed. The young girl behind the bar didn't come across that friendly either. Safe to say, we will not be returning

Absolutely lovely main course and dessert for 6 people last night. Good portion size for the money. No complaints

Poor choice of starter. I had 3 small chicken wings and given a knife and fork to eat them. They were previously cooked and reheated. Main course I choose steak and it was just ok. Steak was not rested after cooking and when served my plate was swimming in blood. Chips were cold and there was no grilled tomato although it said it was included. Mushroom sauce which I paid extra for was very salty and didn’t really taste of anything. We ordered a side dish of onion rings and these were fantastic. Sticky toffee pudding was a microwave brought in pud and was served with icecream. Very expensive (£100) for two. Staff were friendly and pleasant but sadly we would not return.

Very Dirty! I put a negative review on here some time ago and as we were in the area I thought I’d pop in and see if things had improved. In a positive note there was soap in the men’s toilet this visit but the toilets themselves were very dirty and cobwebs and dead flies on the windows in the bar. I still can’t bring myself to order food!

The bar and restaurant area inside looked fabulous but as the weather was very good we decided to stay outside. We chose a table on the higher deck with nice chairs and enjoyed the view. Before leaving I visited the ladies toilets and after initially being impressed was appalled on further inspection. The sheer filth below the hand dryer was unbelievable 😳 such lack of cleaning was indescribable. Check the photos for further clarification.

I came to the Frog last night with a group of friends for a meal and drinks. We sat in the restaurant section. The service was quick and efficient. Our meals were fantastic, very good value for money, well presented and very tasty. I live in Bidford so have visited the Frog a lot however my friends had never been. They were all really impressed by the location, staff, (Frankie was lovely), food and atmosphere and they all want to come here more often. Thank you to the team at the Frog for a lovely night.

We love visiting the Frog pub for lunch, it has beautiful views of the Avon the food is always excellent and the staff friendly and attentive. On Thursday the 10th of July I came for lunch with my mother and Aunt we had a lovely time. Unfortunately my Aunt who is 91 years old collapsed on the way out and her health quickly deteriorated and she lost consciousness. I would like to thank the staff and in particular Nathan one of the customers for their support , during the very stressful time. Nathan phoned the emergency services and spoke to the operator while we were supporting my Aunt. His help and kindness while we waited for the ambulance was so much appreciated, we can not thank you enough. The staff phoned me the day after to check on her progress. What a credit to the business you all are.

Stay near by on a fishing trip so used this place as a base beer very expensive £5 plus for a pint staff very helpful for food looks ok but again very expensive

Lovely pub on the river however the toilets were filthy!! No soap in the Mens at all, Sinks very dirty, light switch on wall filthy obviously not been inspected or cleaned for some time.Wife said same about ladies, was tempted to order food as looked lovely but decided against it. Shame as pub has a great atmosphere!

Beautiful view, pleasant surroundings, friendly staff (and locals!), dog made welcome, and lovely food. What more could you ask? We will visit again next year when we come back to the area.

We stopped at Bidford on Avon whilst on a canal boat holiday and came across The Frog when we were ready to eat. We had an amazing meal, really good size portions of freshly cooked food. Service was great, friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

As a group of four adults, we visited The Frog, we had eaten here before a few years ago, and thought that we would give it another visit. First impressions were good, it was not busy and we were promptly shown to our reserved table. We were given menus and were told that they would take our drinks and food order at the table as they weren’t busy, ordinarily we would have to order at the bar. We were the only people in the restaurant and after a considerable wait they came and took our drink order, we then, after another wait, had to ask for someone to take our food order. The food can only be described as ‘heated up’ food, frozen chips and vegetables, and did not look appetising whatsoever, certainly not worth the money, and this was complimented by the slow service, I hate to think what the waiting time would be if the restaurant was busy! The restaurant looks good at first glance, the furnishings are very nice, but looking around, the room needs a good clean, cobwebs and dust around the walls and ceilings, and would benefit from a repaint,and we could hardly see the lovely view of the river through the dirty windows. Such a shame that this lovely position on the banks of the Avon has left us with the feeling that we shall not return anytime soon.

Stopped here for lunch on the way to our hotel break. Picked based on some of the reviews. Pub was pretty dead so no excuse for slow service. Food was bang average. Great views, but that’s the best bit.

First evening out for a meal as restrictions are eased but it was absolutely awful. Had to send 2 main courses back as cold the 3rd was eaten but shouldn’t have been as now unwell.

Sadly our food order didn't actually make it to the kitchen, so after waiting 45 minutes for our food, we had to wait a further 20 minutes for some chicken burgers and a steak which came 10 minutes apart. Mistakes happen and it can't be easy serving everyone outdoors, but management let themselves down by not handling the problem properly. The waiting staff were very apologetic and the food was pretty good for the price, so compliments to the chef, but we were served by four different members of staff, so mistakes are bound to happen if waiting staff aren't allocated set areas to focus on. Advice for management. Customers understand that mistakes happen, but you have to own those mistakes. The customer shouldn't have to pay for your mistakes. Apologise and offer a partial refund. It need only be 20-25%, but the vast majority of customers would say "fair enough, they made a mistake and they've compensated us for it. Move on". Having finally received all of our food, we were offered a free drink for the inconvenience caused. When you've waited that long you just want to eat and move on, you're not going to be interested in having another drink, so you're bound to still feel aggrieved.

We visited the frog recently after giving it a wide birth over the past 18mths (Covid aside, it was taken over & the food & service took a major nose-dive) Service remains incredibly slow! Ordered drinks & they took half an hr to arrive, despite regular prompting of the staff. There are some really lovely pubs in the area that have first class service & great food, so won’t be returning! Such a shame as the pub is in a beautiful location.

You would think after being shut for so long pubs would be on it to get customers but not here. Poor service the wait was awful. Despite complaining they still would not up there game with only 10/11 tables occupied it was an experience to forget

Just visited the Frog after a very long time.We had drinks and food in the garden this afternoon. Very good service in a well run operation keeping people safe to comply with with Covid regulations.The food and drinks were presented well and we were served quickly especilly as they were busy. We had to sighn in however we did see three customers enter through the garden gate which is for exit only.
