We came for our anniversary and were treated like royalty. This is an amazing culinary experience. The food was sublime. The service was fantastic. It was an evening to remember.

We loved it! Amazing food! Better than a lot of other pubs and restaurants in London (including The George!)

Imaginative food made with love. We had the tasting menu, and wow, what a great range of tasty dishes - accompanied by a wine flight carefully explained by Tamsin who was amazing. It was great to have the chef come to the table to present the marvellous food they had prepared and a delight to meet Jamie, the Head Chef. I always thought Adam Handling should have been the winner of the Masterchef competition! I am not giving 5 stars as it was a tad noisy - some very shouty people on the adjacent table......

This was by far the most tasty, thoughtful and delicious plant based menu I have ever had. You pair that with friendly and great service and you have a perfect combination. You need to go and I will be back !

The food is amazing. Very good flavours and suited us as we wanted a light dinner. Think it’s the best duck I’ve ever had. And the chicken butter is to die for (which if you eat too much is a probable outcome). It’s all very tiny dishes and the table next to us wolfed each dish down in two bites. The cheese doughnuts were delicious. The staff deserve a mention as they were all lovely. Very welcoming. We were baffled by the decor, which is not something I’d mention in a review if it wasn’t so jarring. First thinking it was ironically mid 90’s style, then realising it was just terrible taste and really clashes with the great food. Union Jack chairs just feel very britpop but not in a good way. I’d advise you to go, open your mouth and close your eyes and enjoy the experience (not advice I would advocate in any other part of Hoxton....)

A celebration dinner with 7 old friends. It was perfect. The food, the service & the Hoxton vibe. We had the tasting menu which was beyond amazing. Casual atmosphere but professional and slick service. Comfy chairs we a great addition. Love this area of London. Thank you for such a great evening The Frog at Hoxton!

We have chosen this restaurant for our anniversary dinner. It was very pleasant experience. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, from the hostess to the chef who served our desert and the general manager who was extremely kind. Everyone was describing the dishes and we ve never had to wait long for dish or refill our drinks. The whole place has specific and dynamic atmosphere-from the interior design and the plates, to the open kitchen and the possibility to watch “the action”. As a chef, I think is great to work in a kitchen like that, where you have a daylight and a pleasant atmosphere around you, possibility to be a part of the guest experience. As starters we had the chicken butter, the cheese donuts, celeriac and the tart. I didn’t like the chicken butter-I didn’t like the bread, I wish it was more crusty and overall “fresher”. I also didn’t like the combination of the butter and the chicken skin(as I remember)-fried chicken skin, which is fatty and butter is just not my combination. The cheese donuts were interesting. I really liked the tart, the shell was perfect, delicate and the filling was good too. The celeriac dish was interesting flavor combination. As mains we had the Cod and the Lamb. And zucchini flower as a side dish. The Cod was overcooked to my and my fiancée taste, the lamb was very good, great texture, flavor of the meat and cooking. I loved the zucchini flowers! Crispy and just AWESOME! One thing about the main dishes that I didn’t like was that they arrived not cold for sure, but not hot, the plate wasn’t hot and the dish itself was just warm. Also, the pesto that they had on the zucchini flowers was the same as the one on the lamb and the zucchini flower was also garnish on the same dish, however was prepared differently. I wish there was no such coverage of the elements. Desserts, we ve tried all. I can’t exactly name them, as the menu which I’m looking online doesn’t seem to be fully updated so I ll just try to describe. The first desert-beautifully made(as all were) , perfect plate with a sphere, that u break with the spoon and is kind of fun, was my least favourite. A bit too acidic for my taste and missing more solid component, like I’m spooning creams and liquids in the end. But my fiancée loved it. The desert with the carrot wasn’t my favorite, but it was interesting. And the chocolate desert with the dry ice was my top, is nothing new or wow but is pleasant the way of serving with dry ice, and I found the combination very satisfying. All the plates were just beautiful. The mains were more simple, but still colorful and plated with detail and skill(pastry!!) Thank you for the nice experience!

We enjoyed our 4 course taster menu, delicious food but with a bottle of wine the bill was £150 which we felt was expensive for what we had. The staff were delightful.

We went for the tasting menu which was about 8 courses for £60 then +£45 for a beer pairing (which we had) or wine pairing. The food was incredible, the servers knew exactly what they were talking about with the beer pairings, explained the food well (some places they dump it down and you don’t know what you’re eating) and they left the menu with us so refer to. We enjoyed some courses more than others, which is bound to happen with that amount of food, but it was all very impressive, well presented and original. The portions weren’t tiny either, which you can sometimes expect from a tasting menu. The atmosphere was great, a busy Saturday night, although there was some background techno music at times which felt a bit out of place?! The staff were lovely, extremely attentive without being on top of us. And they even gave us an extra little birthday dessert at the end. Would recommend for a special occasion!

My wife and I took a break from our kid to enjoy a romantic dinner. We like hoxton square and read a lot of good things about the frog. Well, we were very happy with the food just delicious, the service was nice even if you can tell our waitress was a beginner, but the noise is the only and serious issue with the place. It is very noisy maybe the most noisiest restaurant of the year for us. So please , it would be great if you use the expertise of a professional to make the place just few dB quieter :) then we would be delighted to come back.

We went to the Frog tasting menu during the week. From memory it was £40-45 and you get a huge amount for it - delicious dishes at good quantities. The butter chicken was a particular favourite, although the cheese doughnuts are probably a step too far. Can’t wait to come back!

My wife wanted to try this place as it her birthday. The area we know well and its very 'trendy' with great bars and eatery's within close proximity. The Frog is probably one of the best in the area for relaxed fine dining. The staff were fab, really looking after us, and due to it being a Sunday Bank Holiday it wasn't super busy which meant we had a fair bit of banter with the chefs who operate on full view to its patrons. Very cool! The food is what i would class as 'out there' and slightly unusual, but stunning with a fair bit of theatre involved. The prices too are very very sensible. Our bill came out to 100 quid a head. Including wine cocktails and water. Not bad! A lot of nice touches with this place and you can see why Mr Handling (the Owner) is such a 'hit' on the London restaurant scene. But the guys and girls who look after this venue are also at the top of their game. Definitely would return.

I have to confess to being an Adam Handling follower so my review may be biased!! From the Caxton Grill to the original location in Shoreditch to Covent Garden and now to Hoxton Square and Chelsea in a couple of weeks!! I am amazed to read the bad reviews displayed on the trip advisor screen as I type this because I have always found the food to be innovative, very tasty and served by very friendly staff as well as the Chef who cooked a particularly course. Please go and see for yourself, I believe you will not be disappointed!
