Very good place but disappointed by the constant rise of price since 2020, an halloumi wrap was £8 and now £12 only 4 years later which seems inflated despite being very good.

Great mixed kebab and service at a great price! Price was reasonable too

Eat there ever match day attended over past years. Great food. Never disappointed. Got a bit pricey but food quality consistent. Nowhere else comes close

Service was genuinely the shining star of this place - absolutely lovely staff, so attentive and friendly! Food was great, pretty expensive for what it was in my opinion but still very tasty. Atmosphere was good but the only reason I’ve given it a 3 is that it was very draughty and pretty chilly, at least where we were sat, even with the door closed. Overall a very fine option for dinner :)

27 October 8 friends We chose Yıldız Restaurant. The best Turkish Restaurant in the Finsbury Park area. The waiters are very friendly and attentive. We went at a busy hour, but we did not regret it at all. Appetizers, Kebabs are very delicious. They serve hot buttery bread. We will come back again. I recommend it. ⭐️🌟🌟 🌟🌟

If you are looking for a comfortable place to make you forget the tiredness of the day, this will be exactly the place you are looking for. From the manager to the staff, they are all friendly and polite people. We preferred kebab and a few appetizers and salads. They were all delicious. An extremely comfortable and warm environment. It makes you feel like you're at home. I definitely recommend it.

Great place for a quick lunch or huge meal . Been a few times of the years, great food for reasonable prices compared to other places that are hugely overpriced . Always return amd recommend .

Yildiz is great because it combines great tasting food with personable and friendly service. Their bread tastes great and the meat is flavoursome and succulent. Great to have as a local.

Best Turkish meal we have had in a long time! Yildiz was recommended to me by a colleague. I went with my partner on the spur of the moment a few evenings ago. It's a cosy place, very welcoming and with good service. We had adana and lamb shish - perfectly cook and deliciously seasoned. It was accompanied with a fantastic salad (which we had seconds of!) and, of course, fresh Turkish bread. It's priced in line with your average kebab meal - I'm not sure why I'd go anywhere else now.

I don't know what they do to their chicken shish here. I've contemplated over plates if it's MSG, MDMA, the chicken sourcing or chicken sorcery, but it's magical. The best grilled plucked poultry I've had in Europe. Their frivolous use of pomegranate molasses, balanced with equal amounts of lemon juice and salt, creates another drug like house salad. The buttered rice binds the chicken moisture and salad dressing together perfectly. Never misses the spot.

Delicious food, great service, super atmosphere! The 5 of us were here Saturday 12/8 after the Arsenal game. We ordered the cold mixed meze to share (was plenty) and a variety of grilled mains - chicken, lamb, etc. The place was buzzing but the service was still friendly and quick. Food was perfectly cooked. This was our 3rd visit and it won't be our last. Almost hate to share...try and enjoy!

The hummus and thin flat bread was delicious. Definitely a lot of red onion in the salads but cleverly positioned on one side of the takeout container so easy to remove if you are not a fan. The chicken skewer and minced chicken skewer were okay but dry.

The food is good but the staff are rude. We wanted to sit in and eat at the restaurant. When they took our order, they didn’t confirm this with us so we assumed they knew, especially as we then sat down at a table! They then packed our order in takeout boxes and got angry at us when we said that actually we had wanted to eat in. You’d think this wouldn’t be a big deal, but they responded as if we’d spit on their faces! They refused to bring us any cutlery or plates and just left us at the table with our boxes. We waited for a few minutes but I felt so angry and upset with their treatment we decided to leave. Truly dreadful customer service.

The lamb ribs were finger licking good- would definitely recommend.!! 😋👌🏾- however, my husband and I did find it pricey for what it is..😏

It’s a shame that their match day menu is so limited. Food is very nice, I would have given it 4 stars if they had a full menu every day.

Excellent food at Yildiz and highly recommend! We enjoyed the lamb kofta, the Yildiz special salad, and the calamari and we were not expecting the amount of beautifully presented food including such colourful, stunning salads. The koftas/kebabs come with a bowl of delicious fresh pittas, a superb side salad with marinated onions and pickled red cabbage, and some rice. The calamari was juicy and fresh, and the Yildiz salad was enormous with really juicy delicious cubes of feta. It exceeded all expectations and was thoroughly delicious (and so filling). The menu is extensive, and caters really well to vegetarians & vegans, and all the allergens are flagged on the menu (such as molluscs or gluten). The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and knowledgeable about the menu.

I have been using this place for near 20 years. Love it. The food is really good. Recently it has become too expensive. £75 for a takeaway for three? One main each. Some salad. Some bread. £££

Food is good but price has got ridiculous and they add service charge automatically.

This place used to be a very regular spot for myself and my friends. Wraps used to cost £7. Good value, great food. This was maybe two years ago. Now the same wraps are £12!! Zero increase in quality, in an area with frozen business rates. Needless to say they've lost our regular business. Hope it's worth it for the match days.

Too expensive the menu you see in Google is old .. Helap and 1 glass of coke was 27.80 way too much money come with salad and bread no rice . Rice was 4.50 ... Definitely won't go back I'd rather go to harringrey to a proper restaurant where the food is better and cheaper

This used to be a decent quality kebab but on the last 2 occasions the standard has been very poor. It seems the individuals cooking are not paying any attention to the timing and which has resulted in very hard and chewy chicken and inedibly hard bread. £16 for a chicken shish box to takeaway at that quality is criminal

Family owned business, decor is simple and quaint designed.The customer Service was definitely 10/10 They were quick to take our orders and were very accommodating to all our needs. I ordered the chefs special lamb ribs, I opted for the chips instead of rice, this was recommended by my freind. one taste of it I was amazed how delicious it was, the flavour of it up until now is still on my mind I can never forget. Now am thier regular customer!

Each time I am in the area for work, I go for a meal here. Great staff, good selection of dishes, really nice food and reasonable price. Definitely recommend.

Apart from the fact that this is the best Turkish in North London, the food is delicious & staff so lovely, they also sent me a get well note and a free baklava when I said in the deliveroo notes that I was sick with COVID so needed contact free delivery. Legends.

Yildiz has been in Highbury, for as long as I can remember! I have since moved away, but still have family and friends in the area - so I paid it a visit on Sunday. It did not disappoint! Great food, nice sized portions and a friendly team. Suitable for all bookings - lunch or dinner time. Thanks!

A few nice vegan/vegetarian options. Falafel is tasty. A dish comes with a usual Turkish style salad and bread. Big portions should satisfy everyone.

Quality varies per dish. I thought the halloumi starter was very good but the minced chicken kebab lacked flavour. Staff were friendly.

The standard of Turkish food in london is generally quite consistent and high, but this place exceeds them all. Friendly atmosphere, can cater to both small and big groups, and the food is exceptional. A fav!

Hi everyone I hope you are all well and safe I had the worst experience in my life with this restaurant!!! I been going to this restaurant for over 10 years when I went in there couple of months ago they served me gone of fish which I got food poisoning from I was so ill I nearly died !!! When I went back there they were very abusive towards me, they took matters in their own hands and called some police officers off duty to threaten me!!!

We had Adana Kofte and lamb shish kebab with ayran. It was absolutely amazing. Fresh food and friendly staff. We also like their starters. We will definitely come back here again.

Excellent !!! I went with my partner and we had an amazing experience. We both ordered a plate of chicken cubes and lamb kebab. The portion is filling and we did not order any starter or dessert as the portion size is great. It's enjoyable to see your food cooked fresh and delicious. The price is unbeatable and would highly recommend to anyone. The staff is very helpful, which is an absolute rare find.

while eat out to help out was on the restaurant was quite busy and none of the staff were wearing visors or masks or gloves. The food was okay pretty basic if your a vegetarian, the falafel was disappointing I don't think they made it. My bf liked his food he's a meat eater, they have huge portions so I would only order a main. Since then i have gone there for takeaway wraps which are really good and filling lots of salad and pieces of meat or veg option inside. I like the halloumi and falafel wrap.

The *best* Turkish in London. Used to be my local for around 5/6 years, now every time I order from a Dalston Turkish place I'm reminded how much better and better value Yildiz is. I think only Cirrik comes close.

While this place is expensive, the quality of the meat leaves nothing to be desired due to the excellent grill master that toils away at the front of the restaurant. Main dish platters come with well flavoured salads and rice that left me feeling very satisfied, but I found mild disappointment in the contents of the bread basket, which were dry, flavourless and far below the lofty standards I now expect from meat-infused Turkish bread following trips to the phenomenal Testi on Stoke Newington High Street. Nonetheless, a friend assured me that this was a rare and temporary dip in form, and I'm willing to give Yildiz the benefit of the doubt here thanks to great food and solid service.

We really like this restaurant. The food is excellent - the portions are substantial - with flatbread and salad. Delicious! Friendly staff and a pleasant environment.

I've been here probably close to 40/50 times and the food here is always fantastic - the grill chef is really very good at what he does. This may seem seem hyperbolic, but it's one of London's best restaurants.

Awful customer service and very rude staff. This is a local and I never been there before, now I know why, it's the worse customer service ever recieved from the staff. Order was taken wrongy and at collection was charged more. Only realised this when I came home as the order was not done by myself. I called the place spoken to a lady and she told to come so she will refund the difference. Its taken so long for ordering, collecting and the lady was ok and told that she we will issue a refund. Nothing mentioned about bringing the wrong order back. So I called her again and asked if I could have the correct order instead of refund, she told ok and told to collect in 20 minutes. When I got there after 20 minutes and asked for her and told I spoken to her over the phone and came to collecr my order, chef and other staff all charged me for complaining and started to be abusive and did not want to listen, I said to the lady why did you confirm my request and told me to come, if you had told me thst nothing could be done then I would not come, it's taken an hour for you to deal with this . This was just not acceptable, you could told me the decision over the phone, and now you made me to come and you give this kind of attitude, it just horrible. It was not the money, it's the principle when you gave a decision, also all was speaking in their language with an abusive voice, no apologies given to me whatsoever , it was so embarrassing when chef told I should of brought back the wrong order and I was been clever and kept the order. Which restaurants who made the order wrong tells you to bring the order back when it will be put in rubbish anyway and now with Covid, one will think twice of contamination etc. Moreover one told to me to get out, how awful was that. When I had spoken to my turkish friend regarding this place she also told that, she only went there once and the food was awful and service very bad. The best Turkish Restaurant is Cukurova in green lanes.

Tuve una comida increíble después del bloqueo aquí con mi compañero. La carne que se sirve es de una calidad increíble y abundante, y todos los lados que vienen con ella también tienen un sabor increíble. Lo recomendaría al 100% a cualquiera que esté pensando en ir. Un poco caro para un kebab, pero con la calidad no le importa pagar un poco más. Además, el personal es muy amable y servicial.

We went one evening and returned the next evening to Yildiz. This Turkish restaurant serves delicious fresh food: BBQ meat, fish and vegetables just perfect! The service is great: one part of the force is taking care of the BBQ and the waitresses are taking care of the table service with professionalism and charm. All meat was of great quality, just only one starter: a taramasalata-like spread not 100% authentic to be honest. This restaurant is a true gem whenever in the neighbourhood of the Emirates Stadium.

First visit to this Gunners’ favourite and it didn’t disappoint. We all had lamb kofte kebabs with rice and plenty of salad. The breads which were cooked in the cooking juices from the meats were excellent too.

You wouldn't think so looking outside in but this place is no dirty kebab shop. The food quality is extremely high and staff service impeccable. Plus it is fairly priced. They accommodated our ten person party on a match day brilliantly. I cannot recommend enough. I suggest booking in advance on days Arsenal play home matches. Until they are relegated to the Championship that is.

Great food but needs better organisation. We tried to reserve a table but were told we couldn't. Upon arrival many tables were reserved, two of which were reserved for 2pm but still vacant when we left at 2:30. We were forced to sit at two tables pushed together right next to the toilet and we were bumped into the whole time.

Waste if time. Chop and change when they are open and then rude on the phone. Leave them selves on uber eats to order then 15 minutes later say sorry we are not serving now. Joke restaurant and service

Great food, not your average Turkish cuisine .

Best and quality turkish restaurant in north london

The food was twice the price of most other Turkish restaurants (£19 for an iskender, £17 for a surma beyti), and was below the quality I generally expect from any Turkish restaurant in North London. The halep sauce used for both the iskender and beyti was oddly sweet, as of loads of ketchup had been used to make it, and it was completely full of diced bell peppers. I've never seen that done before, and I can't say I liked it at all. The Ali nazik was all wrong as well - it tasted more like yoghurt than anything else. It was nothing like it should have been. Overall our meal cost £60 for two starters, two mains and two drinks, and the food was not even up to par with local restaurants that charge half that much. I can't recommend this, and I won't be going back.
