We enjoyed a really nice lunch. The food was delicious especially the children's meal. The staff were polite and well mannered. We enjoyed ourselves and will certainly go back in the future.

We called in to The Foxglove for lunch and found the staff were friendly and welcoming. My meal wasn't as hot as I'd have liked and I can't thank the staff enough for the way they rectified this. They were helpful, apologetic, polite and courteous. A credit to Hungry Horse. Brilliant service. Thank you.

Went here for my Birthday and service was excellent. Had a steak cooked to how I like and partner had Fish and Chips. To top it all Amber put a Birthday candle on my desert which made my day. Service by Amber has been amazing, she had a friendly smiley face as soon as she welcomed us inside and her customer service skills are absolutely perfect. Food was served fresh and piping hot, everyone enjoyed their meal and enjoyed the relaxed and friendly atmosphere, Amber checked with us through our meal and I feel she has added something a little more special to our family dinner.

I got the ultimate bog combo. Said an abundance of scampi but there were just 4 pieces. Nachos seemed to be homemade but undercooked and barely crispy. Garlic ciabatta bread overcooked and too crispy. Everything else was mediocre.

The new £5 menu is fab! Loads of food on the plate and the ultimate big candymania is huge and a great deal to share. Staff are always ace in this branch

Went for lunch with Mum and have been treated amazingly by Amber who couldn’t have done enough to try and help us, Luke behind the bar was lovely. The chefs cooked amazing food the burger was awesome and so was the ultimate big combo was made perfectly, would recommend to anyone passing by

Popped in for a coffee to get out of the wind for a bit and warm up. Nice and cosy little place. Was welcomed straight away from luke at the bar and served within in seconds! Atmosphere was really good aswell seemed busy was greeted by another member of staff who was also very welcoming and asking if I needed anything else. Will definitely come back again with the family as the menu looks really good and seen the food that was brought out to other customers and it looked amazing and smelt really good! Will definitely be telling my friends and other family members to come along for a family meal at some point.

First time visiting, and I have to say, we were impressed! The staff were lovely and really attentive. Our food came out quickly, and it was piping hot. It was well presented, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Extra credit to Layla, who really went the extra mile, and Mark, who made us all smile. We'll definitely be back!

My husband reserved tables for approx 20 people for my birthday celebration. The manager and staff that worked last night did an amazing job. The food order was taken quickly and we didn't have to wait too long for our food to arrive. All the meals were cooked to perfection, arrived together and were nice and hot. The steaks were cooked exactly as ordered. There was a little mix up with the drinks to start with but it was quickly rectified. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you to the staff and the lovely manager. We all had a great night.

50th birthdayHad a meal this evening with all the family for my sister in laws birthday and all of the staff went out of their way to make sure we had a lovely experience. The big plate curry was amazing. Especially the manager who sorted put some seating issues for us. A lovely time was had by us all Date of visit: March 2022

I have been coming to this establishment constantly for the last year and have never been disappointed.I attended on the 16th of January with two friends and a child and received amazing service from the lady I believe to be the manager. Despite one of my group ordering the wrong dish, she not only took the wrongly ordered meal away and replaced it with the dish he wanted, but refunded him the difference as well.

The food was very good,and all the staff where very helpful and friendly.it was the best Christmas Dinner out that we have ever.was the best Christmas Dinner and day out.we had a great welcome.

Just had Christmas Dinner with my family at the Hungry Horse in Catterick and it was excellent value for money. The staff are brilliant and really went out of their way to make our dinner special. Good food, reasonably priced.

Came here with my best mate, Wasn't overly pleased with the food. We ordered breakfast - sausages came out dry, the egg my friend had was more 'chewy' than runny.Normally it's actually alright here but this occasion it's been very poor. I normally swap my egg out for toast as I'm allergic to eggs, instead I was told I had to pay extra for the toast while the egg was taken off, so I'm therefore paying more for what I actually got? Didn't really understand why I couldn't do this as I've been here before and done it.

All food was worth the visit. Quick and fresh. Chef that prepared food, believe his name was Lee Farrel, visited the table and was very pleasant with his sincerity. Will return again for sure.

Excellent service considering the pressures the industry is facing, the assistant manger (Bradley i think) was exceptional and a pleasure to speak to. For him to check we are ok and happy with everything is a breath of fresh air considering managers normally keep out of the way.

Lovely meal once again, one person in the group the curry was too hot for him so Laura changed it for him. What a lovely girl, so helpful and cheerful thank you. The guy behind the bar was so helpful too.

Ordered a chicken goujon butty bite, asked for chilli sauce instead of mayo cause i have an allergy to eggs. Laura who was on the bar & looked totally disinterested said they do not do any kind of chilli sauce until it was pointed out that they do it for the sizzlers, chick n wings, so then she waffled on about how because it didn't come with that dish an extra charge of £1.29 would have to be paid, to swop out the mayo for chilli. Wouldn't mind, but all the sauces will be out of a bottle. Asked for chilli sauce again when the food came & Laura has now said they no longer stock any kind of chilli sauce . Funny when she was willing to charge £1.29 for it when we were ordering the food.Ordered a wrap and a bagguette with a side of fries for an extra pound which took around 20mins. The food arrived, the baguette was cold,probably microwaved from frozen, the salad leafs on the side has some kind of awful looking sauce to it, the goujons weren't as hot as they could have been, which makes me think they were lifted out and left. The fries were not fries but more like some kind of frozen chips & you only got a handful. No check done although other tables were asked by the sour faced looking waitress if everything was ok. PATHETIC SERVICE & horrible food.

Breakfast was amazing and filled a massive hole. So I will be coming here aginn in the future because is was a good food

We have been a few times now. Every time something different has been wrong. The last visit we ordered a curry and the onion bhajis were disgusting. Genuinely looked like puss from a spot! This time one daughters steak was completely dry and all gristle even though she ordered medium rare, also it was far from sizzling. The wife’s was a mushy water mess. It was supposed to be sizzling chicken. Looks and tastes frozen.Mine was missing onion rings and taste less.Once again a massive let down. Was hoping that the other times were just hiccups but every visit has been a let down. I wouldn’t recommend this place. Such a shame

Went for a family meal tonight , great place to eat. Good choice of food at very reasonable prices. Staff couldn't do enough , especially Callum Johnson .Will be definitely going back very soon.

We have just spent two nights at Catterick Garrison premier Inn and ate here for 2 evening meals and breakfast. The food was excellent and reasonable price was hot and prompt to arrive. The restaurant is clean and well organised and the staff are very friendly, welcoming and accommodating.Kerry the manageress could not of been more helpful if she had tried, this restaurant is a credit to hungry horse. Have been visiting the foxglove regularly over this summer. Not bad a bad meal, all delicious and service is excellent. Prices are extremely reasonable and the pub had a strong range in menu options. Definitely recommend! (Thank you to our server Ash who has given exemplary service each time we have visited!)

Called in on the last day of our week long stay in Reeth. Food was lovely and the staff couldn’t have been any more helpful, especially as we had to sit outside due to having the dog with us. Keep up the good work

We came here as a last minute decision. It’s a typical pub with the usual pub food but the portions are huge and food is good !! The food was really tasty, reasonably priced and the service was really good . Would recommend it to anyone in the area

The staff was amazing, I was served by 3 friendly guys, Connor, Bradley and Danny. They were all extremely polite. The food was also very enjoyable, and the pub just had a great atmosphere overall.

Came after restrictions had been lifted slightly. Lovely to see the staff smile again, the food was lovely. Had crispy chicken with katsu sauce and wow. Was really shocked. It was so tasty ! We came here on a Wednesday night having parked at the retail park. I ordered the gammon meal with extra egg and mam ordered the soup. On the whole it was a nice place with good table service including payment, customer loos and large TVs showing Wimbledon tennis. The food was good although the gammon was a bit hard as was the bread mam received with her soup.

The food generally was good. We've ordered the Big plate special and it wasn't as big as shown in the picture, quite disappointing, unfortunately. The picture and the menu said the "skillet of peppers and onions", but we got some sad chopped raw onion and peppers, raw but burnt from the sizzler pan... and some plain chips on the side. Very disappointing and sad sad sad dish. The staff was very nice and lovely, made sure that we were well looked after. overall nice - will probably return next time I'm down there, but will not be ordering The Big Plate Special again.

We came for the big plate specials just after a big football game and even though there was some busy tables our waitress Sophie stopped and made sure we had everything we needed. Food was really tasty and quick to arrive also

We go a lot to the foxglove .the staff are exceptional. Cannot do enough .place is always spotless and food excellent. I get sizzling steak.want it medium rare .not medium Medium rare.and Niall gets it right every time .absolutely delicious

Front of house are so welcoming and put you at ease with the covid rules, nothing was too much trouble and we all enjoyed our meal and experience at The foxglove, menu was great for all and a sensible price. Staff are so lovely especially Conor and Rhys who looked after us all perfectly. We're hoping to be back soon.

Family lunch visit to the Foxglove Covert Hungry Horse pub for lunch today really great experience. Faultless covid booking in directed to the table staff very helpful when ordering food including gluten free options. Food was lovely really nice five stars service no complaints.

We went here for our first family meal since lockdown and ordered a pizza and some veggie sticks for my child, lasagne and a bbq chicken dish for the 2 adults. The pizza was literally a Chicago town pizza that had been microwaved - I found this absolutely shocking for a children's food option, plus it cost £4. The lasagne was a day or so old and again just shoved in a microwave. And, as for the bbq chicken dish, the chicken was not edible. Really disappointed and won't eat here again, or recommend it for that matter. The service was great, but it's a real shame that the poor quality, microwaved food let it down! The two stars is for the service, as otherwise I wouldn't rate it!

A fantastic welcome back great service from Conner and a great freindly atmosphere. I would heartily recommend The foxglove to anyone who wants a great place to meet freinds and have a catch up.

This is our second visit and its been lovely both times. Friendly staff, food came out quickly, good variety of food.

Came into the foxglove on Wednesday and was greeted by a tall man with a beard he was so welcoming and explained all the new rules which i fine confusing sometimes . We sat down we had our order taken quickly and drinks where straight to our table . The food was amazing I had a korma and it filled me right up . It was such a lovely evening will be coming again!

Came in on Saturday 19th December and was greeted by a lovely gentleman called Connor he was so helpful and couldn’t do enough for the table, food was spot on and a lovely atmosphere What an asset Connor is to your team!

Got to the foxglove and was greeted by Conor he helped us out with the new rules and was such a gentleman he done a good job and the food was delicious. Will be here again definitely.

My wife and I called into the foxglove with our 2 year old for a brew and something to eat after shopping. The staff are lovely and the service is spot on! The food is served quickly, however, this doesn't seem to affect the quality as our food was spot on.We will deffinately be back again.

Took my three children to have breakfast with Santa. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. They would regularly ask if everything was okay and their attentiveness made the visit a good one. The breakfast was good, both in taste and value, the kids enjoyed santa and the table activity packs were also good!

Today me and my partner went for a bite to eat at the foxglove we were greeted at the door straight away and we’re asked to sign in to the track and trace app so that we could be seated the lady at the door was very friendly When we were seated we ordered char sue chicken fingers and peri peri chicken wings for a starter then mix it up with chicken skewers with fries and corn on cob and my partner ordered crispy chicken sandwich for mains and for drinks we got coffee , tea and 2 cokes our drinks came out very quickly and shortly after our starter came out the table services was very good and very friendly asking if we would like any thing else like sauces after starters our mains came out shortly after Overall our food was lovely really enjoyed I recommend the peri peri chicken wings for people who like there spice as they have a kick to them and the mix it up was cooked perfectly and very filling , the table service was very friendly and helpful even saying bye to us when we left and they even offered to wrap up our food that we didn’t eat to take home I recommend going to the fox glove for lovely meal and friendly service

Brilliant large breakfast with a few coffees and quick service even though it were busy, added extras for little kids which went down a treat with a great atmosphere, will happily return :) leaving here with 1 happy smiley kid :)

Have been coming here frequently since opening and the service and food is second to none. The staff are incredible and nothing is ever too much to ask, always friendly and helpful. The food is always quick and never disappoints. Will of course be coming back :)

This pub is owned by a renowned brewery (Greene King) and yet I cannot fathom the selections. 14 lagers available, 18 ciders. For the beer drinker? John Smith extra cold or a bottle of Brown Ale. Left without ordering a month ago but thought I'd give it another try. Service is fine and food average, but the beer is laughably poor for a pub.

Loved the service and staff couldn't do enough to help us we really love this place and they treat us like family as much as they are able to would definitely recommend to anybody local or passing through

Came for a local birthday meal. Our server was Danny, he was very attentive and we weren’t sat waiting long for drinks or food. The food was good, we each enjoyed the meals we had ordered. Covid restrictions in place but it’s actually nice not to queue at the bar to order.

Not been in since January and safe to say its still bad. Ordered the Burger Combo and 1 of the burgers was not cooked resulting in the blood juice flooding the plate and soaking the chips which were already soaked in fat, basic cooking skills seem to have been forgotten. Wife ordered Crispy Chicken Sandwich which was upside down on the plate and looked a mess. Customers walking out the in door, not clearly marked and people not wearing masks when checking in until a supervisor had to tell another member of staff that they had to wear masks. We won't be rushing back.

First visit since they had to close for lockdown, we booked a table over the app 24 hours in advance which was easy and successfull, using the Greene King app was simple for all food and drink, quick service once ordered on the app, friendly staff, will happily return again, Rhys, Connor, Jordon, Joyce, Danny were great throughout and made sure we had everything including little knife and fork for the little 4 year old :) forgot to take photos as I just wanted to dive straight into the sizzler steak! :) Yum!

Met by the door and given clear instructions of the covid rules. There were three of us that ate from the Thursday special offer deal.....a free desert or starter with a big plate order. We all really enjoyed our meals and the steak was cooked perfectly. Got our free puddings and would highly recommend the warm chocolate fudge cake. Give it go!!!!

Lovely, well cooked, well presented meal served by friendly and helpful staff. Relaxed atmosphere, and, due to Covid restrictions, we were frequently asked if we needed anything. Clear Covid rules in place. The pub itself is clean, well organised. Altogether a great pub to go to.

We were looked after by a girl named steph,she was amazing and really looked after us,she explained the covid rules and helped us with what we needed to do for it. Made us feel at ease and safe.steph was an absolute pleasure and made our breakfast visit most enjoyable!! The food was lovely and very prompt! Will come again as the service from steph was impeccable

Food and drink for a family celebration, great service as usual. The team are really working hard to comply with all the new rules, whilst still keeping a great atmosphere for their customers.

The food was excellent really filling and tasted amazing. All the staff were super lovely and friendly couldn’t ask for anything better. My friend who is vegan had a burger and I had a chicken wrap. My friend didn’t know they did vegan meals until we went and wants to go again. Loved the food and the people.

Called in twice on Saturday.. the first time with a friend for a pint and some nachos, then later with a friend and 5 teenagers! On both occasions, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and we really enjoyed it. The covid prevention arrangements they had in place were the best I’ve seen yet. Everything was very well organised, tables were kept empty either side of you so there was plenty of space. I’ve ‘eaten out to help out’ this August more than I probably should have!, and it’s lovely, yet unusual, to see a restaurant that is putting safety above profit by not trying to fill all the tables. The menu has something to please everyone, and the food was fantastic value for money. We mostly opted for the Saturday super special offers at £7.50, and got loads of food- which was great for 5 teenage boys- and nice that I didn’t have to limit their choices. Drinks were reasonably priced too. All in all a great experience and I have already recommended it to my friendsWish we lived closer!

Walked in on a spur of the moment after a visit to Tesco with a hungry 3 month old.We were very lucky to be seated as it was busy... and I can see why! The food was wonderful, and the staff so friendly and attentive.We got seated in a good size booth for a family of 4, and with the COVID rules everything was explained to us. The bottle had leaked in the bag and the staff were very helpful in refilling a bottle to the right temperature. As soon as we had seen to baby, we ordered 2 adult meals and a kids meal as well as a few drinks. The Menu had a good selection of food on it and also the kids menu was wide enough to accommodate for even picky eaters.Drinks were swiftly delivered to the table, with food coming shortly afterwards, certainly no more than 10 minutes after ordering. The food was piping hot, and also very tasty. Me and my partner both ordered a sizzling burger combo platter (Not 100% sure on what it was called) but when it arrived it was actually 2 meals on 1 board. a Double cheese and bacon burger with chips, and an 8oz steak (both cooked to how they were ordered, Medium rare and Well Done) and 5 chicken wings in a sticky BBQ sauce. I have a very good appetite and I just could not finish it off. But if you ask the staff they are more than happy to provide you with a take out box to take away anything you haven't eaten. We're currently staying at a friends place near Catterick, but now I know how good the food is, and how attentive and friendly the staff are, I will book a table and travel from Stockton to come over to this pub again.The quality of the food and the amazing staff is more than enough to bring me back, and the price of 3 meals here with drinks was under £30.... I'd like to come back weekly!!!Thank you for a fantastic visit, and we will certainly be back.

Whilst the menu choices have been cut down for the golden years section of the menu I enjoyed my gammon steak and apple crumble. You get what you pay for but the staff were most attentive Danny and two other young men (lucky me)! attended to my requirements during my meal. Good service and attention to covid requirements without fuss.

Took the kids here for a change having prebooked. We were welcomed at the entrance and explained the new social distancing rules ie one way system, hand sanitizer etc then shown to the table which had a sign to say table had be sanitised, the table next to it was blocked from use. I tried to order from the app but failed so ordered at the bar, the lady was really friendly and helpful. The food arrived quite quickly and was plenty for the children and was tasty. After using the government scheme discount 3 of us ate/ drank for £15Probably will return as it's much improved on our last visit (which admittedly was a long time ago)

were staying at the hotel over the road last week and used this place for breakfast and dinner on a few occasions. really enjoyed our visits with good food hot cooked gigantic brekkies can’t go wrong and felt safe. nice to see some eateries taking the current situation seriously even on monday nights with the half price and top staff as well we were welcomed the other morning by the lovely blonde girl whose name I didn’t catch. thank you to thomas as well who has become a wonderful and familiar fixture at the front lol top guy will use this place loads again when we revisit our family up here again

Met with my niece for lunch .Couldnt order Fish and Chips as the fish fryer was broken. Went for a second option of a dish with garlic bread , couldn't have that because there was a problem with the garlic bread . No burgers . Settled for a chicken dish . With chips and onion rings and peas . The only edible part was the chips and onion rings. In fairness I did get a full refund. However this is far from a good advert for the " restaurant "

I visited the foxglove last week with my family and had a lovely, warm experience. The host Thomas was a lovely young man who clearly explained the allergen information for my husband who is lactose intolerant. It was really helpful and made the experience stress free for us. The food was really good and the portions were perfect. I look forward to visiting again in the near future!
