The Fox Inn in Waverley

I ordered portion of chips there was jus few chips in a small bowl yet it cost £4.75. That’s ridiculous. We use to eat here often but now we have to go somewhere instead of supporting our local pub because of price and portion sizes.

Went for a drink was a great atmosphere. Rufus was great on the bar, made us feel very welcomed! Definitely recommend very nice pub!

We ate at the restaurant and the food was exceptional, I had the lamb kefte it was delicious. Rufus was our server and he was attentive and efficient throughout. This place is superb with a nice atmosphere good drinks and great food at reasonable prices. Thoroughly recommend

You can’t beat it! Myself and friends came in for some food and a Friday drink and were greeted by a smiley Charlie behind the bar. She was so chatty and smiley and gave great drink and food recommendations. The food is absolutely gorgeous and made us feel like we were back in Greece on a hot sunny beach! We also loved the family feel environment with the chef coming to see us to make sure everything was gorgeous! We will definitely be coming again!

Friendly welcome, lively atmosphere and delicious food. My husband, who grew up in Cyprus, said it was a blast from the past to eat such incredible and authentic Greek food. This is definitely my favourite place to eat in Farnham. Everything was excellent. We’ve been going here for years and this was the best taste experience yet…the new chef is obviously very talented. I had a special (the prawn linguine) and it was divine. Can’t recommend enough.

This is a fantastic spot for some proper, real authentic Greek food. The menu is great and the portions are very generous (especially the 700g pork chop!). As a Greek Cypriot, I have had a lot of baklava and can say that we had the best fresh homemade baklava at Yiayias. Definitely recommend to anyone

Incredible! Food 20/10. Service 10/10 We had moussaka, chicken burger, stifado and the biggest pork chop we have ever laid our eyes on. All cooked to perfection. No hesitation in recommending. Already looking forward to our next visit!

Since the new chef has started here the standard of food and authenticity is on another level! It’s like you are actually in Cyprus the food is so authentic! Everything is cooked from scratch and the flavours are just incredible! Beef Stifado is a must to try, as well as the moussaka to name just a few. Started platter again is a must to try! Service I could not fault. We will be back gain very soon!

For a Cypriot its home away from home keep up the good work!

An impromptu visit as the Fox caught our eye driving through and decided to visit on the return journey. Very pleased we made the effort, a lovely venue and somewhat of a hidden gem with a warm welcome, a nice mix of Mediterranean and classic pub inside and a terrific outdoor space over two or three raised patios. Food was good value, fresh and tasty and very much as you would expect if dining abroad. Service was friendly and food arrived quickly and clearly straight from the grill. Really enjoyed our meal and would certainly visit again if in the area - really hope locals support this independent run restaurant, it deserves it.

A delicious lunch today at Yiayias ~ we were a little early before opening and yet the staff were super accommodating and friendly! Love the pork souvlaki and we will definitely be back again 😊

Another great meal , secret 60th birthday party for our dear friend . The owner called me two days before to check all was ok . The chef and the front of house Andrianna help set the tables up . The other staff went out their way to serve us . Well done we will be back for another party . That’s 3 already in 18 months . Thank you Filo for the fruit fur desert which is typical Cypriot hospitality !

Amazing food and great service. I will definitely go back...many times! My 3,5 years old son also enjoyed it and he is the most difficult customer! :)

This was a spur of a moment visit and an afternoon very well spent. Paul & his staff welcomed us warmly & ensured we had everything we needed. There were many spaces to dine including a lovely terraced garden, downstairs in the restaurant or bar, but we selected upstairs in the brightly & newly refurbished dining room. The food was varied from smaller sharing plates, to larger plates. We selected sharing plates and they were all freshly cooked, tasty & plentiful. We were even treated to a tasty sample of slow cooked lamb which the chef was trialling. All in all a most enjoyable time& would highly recommend.

We got an email saying they’d relaunched with new chef and team. Although menu was broadly the same as before the quality of the food has taken a big step up from before. We used to go there regularly as live very close by but stopped because the kitchen never seemed to be open. In the evidence of our visit this week they’ve got their mojo back so we’ll be going again very soon

I popped in today with my brother for a cold beer. I don’t know if he is the manager or landlord but he said hello to us while sat in the shade. He mentioned the upper terrace was open. I went and had a look, popped in the toilet for a wee. If anyone has seen Trainspotting, the WORST toilet in Scotland. The Fox Inn is a contender for the worst toilet in England. I did mention it to the so called manager/landlord. His reply was that I did

Delicious meals x helpful staff

Great place to eat, we ate there on Saturday night, we had great service from Perry and the food was great , we went back to eat on the Sunday. We took 3 dogs and felt very welcomed, On the Saturday we changed our booking and ended outside in the marquee ( it was raining) , but we shouldn't have worried, the heaters were on and Perry made sure we got the same service as if we were inside the pub! Can really recommend!

Fabulous ambience, friendly professional staff team, gorgeous food in comfortable charming surroundings. Was my first, of many more visits. My only regret is not finding this amazing place sooner 🤗

OMG the food! So much of it and tasted amazing. In true Greek style the Meze could have fed an army and we struggled to put a dent in it. I cannot wait to return with the family so they can experience it. Friendly, helpful staff too and a lovely quirky building.

Myself and friends came for a Friday treat after work, accompanied by our dogs.We were greeted by the lovely manager Chris who gave us the perfect table in the bar area. We were served by Charlie who gave great recommendations on both food and drinks.We will definitely be returning without the dogs so we can experience the upstairs dining experience. Came to the fox for a cheeky drink with some girlfriends. Was greeted by Charlie at the bar who had the biggest smile and make us all feel very welcome. We will definitely be returning to book a table for food, the smells from the upstair restaurant were gorgeous. Thankyou Charlie!

We had a really lovely dinner. Perfect staff … so welcoming, and Ella is a person this restaurant should hang on to, she is a natural, so good with customers. And lovely food in a relaxing atmosphere. Go and enjoy it!

Been here a few times and never disappoints the quality and taste of the food is amazing. Such fresh and large portions!! The value for money and the amazing service is why this place remains the top restaurant for Greek foid in Farnham and surrounding areas. Special shout out to Leah who is amazing at keeping our drinks topped up and on hand for anything you need whilst enjoying this amazing food !!

We sat in the sports bar to have a family meal with our dog. We were served by a friendly, smiley Charlie behind the bar. She was very accomerdating for our children and gave fabulous recommendations for food. The food was amazing. We will definitely be back, Thankyou!

Charlie & Leah are, without doubt, two of the best & friendliest barmaids that I have ever had the pleasure to be served by. 😀

We were looking forward to our first night here. Good food generous portions. Leah was a very polite waitress. Sadly we felt the ambience was lacking for a Saturday night very quiet. Also when there is only 2 people dining we feel the 12.5% service charge is not justified. This seems to be the normal now at most food establishments and whilst happy to leave a tip for good service we don’t like being dictated what we should leave. We don’t go out all the time for dinner and especially as prices have gone up In the last year and really wish restaurants and pubs serving food would reconsider not adding the service charge. The reason we paid the £10 was because it was so quiet we felt embarrassed to ask if they could take it off.

Average food quality. Average portions and on the expensive side of things. We were seated in a secluded area which was quite cold. Service was pleasant nevertheless.

Only stopped in for a pint as I have never been a fan of the Greek food. But disappointingly the Fox is looking a little rundown with tables not cleared, weeds in the beds and cigarette butts on the ground outside.

Owner Paul is an incredibly fun guy and the atmosphere is excellent

Used to love this pub, but disappointed to have been twice in the last two months, had pork Souvlaki both times, approximately 4 cubes of meat and the rest is salad. Very different to previous experiences at this pub.

It wasn't particularly busy when we went, but the staff were very chatty and accommodating, and the food was delicious! We both had the lamb flatbread wraps with tzatziki and he added some halloumi. Will definitely go back!

Great greek food. Outstanding leveled gardens to sit and eat. Private lounge boxes. I always stop off here for their spatikopika, skewered lamb, hummus and a beautiful half of cold cider after a sunny day at frencham ponds. Its a winner.

Always been a nice place for as long as I can remember. 40 years plus. Very welcoming. Good parking. Wheelchair accessible. Now has several TV screens.children friendly.

Lovely food and staff were friendly and efficient. I felt the fish platter was a lot of money for what it was. A lot of chips pitta and rice to bulk the tray out a bit. Saying that everything was delicious.

lovely pub- felt so relaxed the second we stepped in the door, the staff were so welcoming and friendly. We had our drinks out in the beer garden as it was a beautiful winter day and we had our choice of seating, plenty of benches with a sheltered area big comfy chairs it was perfect for our group of friends We decided to try the weekend Lunch and it did not disappoint!! Great portion size and everything was delicious, we will definitely be back to check out the rest of the menu.

They have had a lot of work done there, the photo shown does not give it justice. It is no longer just a pub but a destination Greek restaurant called YiasYias with good food, great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Even though we chose a quiet evening (it was a Wednesday) we had a fun evening with the sharing platters (used to be called Meze) made so much better because of the waiter from Serbia, think his name may be Marco (that's what the bill said).

Such good, authentic Greek food, lovely staff and a great atmosphere but make sure to take a good appetite as the portions are generous. Best olives around too. Going again today.

The best . I love their falafel wraps. And is to die for. Good price and pprtion is huge. Great salad and chips and rice as well.

Was served at the bar by the lovely Hayley - an incredibly talented (also very small) bartender, who recommended cocktails and i loved every single one. The food was fantastic and the portion size was great and I'll definitely be coming back next time im in farnham.

Good Service, friendly, attentive staff and great food. We went for the sharing plater and custard pie for pudding and we were not disappointed. The dog would have been made welcome, so will be going back there again as soon as we have funds available.

It was very nice to be greeted upon arrival. we chose where we wanted to sit. Our waitress Grace was very pleasant and took our order, read it back to us to make sure it was correct. The food arrived in quick progression all hot and very tasty. Grace was kind enough to get our bits wrapped up that we could not finish. Grace was very professional and will be a great asset to you. Watch out big portions.

I went with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday and had a very nice time. The drinks were well-made and served promptly, and the staff were patient and friendly. The atmosphere was great as well, with nice decorations & an awesome patio.

We visited Yiayias for my daughters birthday. The staff were amazing and made her feel so special and the food is out of this world. We will definitely be making regular visits. Thanks Yiayias!

Booked a table in their wonderful garden on a warm day despite being cloudy. Terrific atmosphere with very helpful and lovely staff. Great food and not your usual pub grub. A wide variety of sides and fabulous mains. 100% I’ll be there more!

This was our 4th visit for food due to COVID restrictions, however, Yia’s Yia’s @The Fox didn’t disappoint. We had both the fish & meat platter and it was delicious!! Swordfish , chicken kebabs, baked lamb shank and mini mussaka with a mixture of salad rice and pitta!! Authentic Greek cuisine at very affordable prices. The outside marquee had socially distanced tables heating and it was very busy. Paul and his team work really to look after their customers and it has paid dividends....we will be back next weekend!! Thankyou Yia’s Yia’s!!!

Such a great and amazing place to meet and socialise with friends, Paul is a great host and always makes the effort to speak to his guests, felt very welcome and safe in regards to Covid restrictions

The first thing I would like to say about the restaurant is how friendly and attentive the staff were, this is the restaurant's greatest asset. Having seen the food reviews for this restaurant I was disappointed. The moussaka and starters were bland the lamb dishes decent. The starters arrived at the same time as the mains and some of the food had to be returned as it was cold.The place had a lively atmosphere, however we were not made aware that smoking was permitted in the area we were eating - otherwise we would have asked to be in a non-smoking section.

I visited with my 3 children on a Sunday lunchtime and was overwhelmed with the warm welcome we received. Every member of staff we came into contact with was delightful. We were seated outside on the terrace and my youngest daughter enjoyed playing in the adventure zone play area. The food was great, it’s usually impossible to find a restaurant that they all agree on but they all asked when we could come back again. Will definitely be back. Thanks for the hospitality, we were treated like royalty, would have given 6 stars if that was possible.
