The Fox didn't do good, but they'll happily accommodate people bringing in takeaways from elsewhere. There's a good range of beers, including cask ales, and a small, but decent, choice of wine. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere welcoming.

Fantastic pub in the middle of Thrapston. Great atmosphere, staff are really friendly as is the clientele. Highly recommend

Since being took over I have been more than satisfied but not had food there yet. The staff are very courteous and Zoe is more than helpful making us feel very welcome.

Probably the best pub in northants. Landlord is one of the most human people I have met. Not the usual problems of local pubs . im open in saying im mentally unwell. I was shown love in this pub, not blamed or kicked out. Offered a lift home. I hope this landlady takes over all the pubs in the town im from, in time for my kids, when they're olenough to go out. Been coming here for the last 42years. Married a thrapston girl and now move here from london. The last two reviewers have either got the wrong pub -other pubs called the fox locally - or were on drugs. The Fox in thrapston hasn't served food since I can remember. It's just a nice local in the middle of town that serves decent beer at reasonable prices. Locals are all very friendly. Recent new landlady is also very nice.

Charlie was exceptional, she provided such amazing customer service and made the visit special. The staff overall were amazing. Many thanks, hope I can come again in the future.

We were the only people in there. I felt like I was stitched up in a horror film. No other diners, no one drinking. Our 2 meals can't have covered the chef, waitress and barmaids wages. I'm not sure if they were closing down or what? They got the food order wrong initially. Then the medium rare steak was very well done, like warm and very average. As they're in the middle of nowhere, they need to offer an outstanding service to get customers in. I'm very unlikely to go back

The fox has been a fantastic venue for weekend drinks for me and my friends for many years, unfortunately the reputation has taken a hit due to the change of management, and the new landlord being a complete knob

Slowly going downhill. Only wine they had was a white Pinot or a red Shiraz. It’s not uncommon for the pub to be out of Guinness. The men’s toilets are often flooded with water and the cleanliness of the bar is questionable. A bit worrying when the bar staff do not know what a Malbec is- but never mind, the landlady is invisible and there’ll probably be new bar staff next week.

Good little pub in the village centre, busy with no frills but friendly staff and best prices for drinks. Good for watching sport.

Great staff a very friendly pub frequented by a stream of regulars who enjoy the facilities and the best prices in Thrapston. Love it.

Went with my wife to check the place out as I drive past every day. Reasonable price for a decent burger, seating was comfortable and the place looks nice. The portion was far more than we could manage but the burger itself was clearly a decent quality meat, the chips were done right and not soggy and plenty of salad to go with it.

Decent pub , reasonable priced drinks . Friday night karaoke is just awful. Toilets (gents) are probably the most unsanitary in the county .. wear yer wellies 🤢

Comfy ,friendly pub and not extortionate prices

The refurbishment looks great. Prices are a little high, and the seats in the area by the dart board are uncomfortable, I don't think I could sit here for more than one drink, or really socialise with friends and family not comfortable enough.

Went in to the fox inn just on the off chance, for a nice quite drink. Got told I’m kicked out for an altercation that didn’t even happen. When I asked what the reasons for this was he just said, ‘Saturday go on f*** O**’ personally I won’t be taking anyone I know to that pub. I’d definitely suggest taking your family and friends to the woolpack inn, only around the corner 10/15 mins walking distance. Such a better atmosphere and no rude owners.

Went to see the local band Jaded there, great night, friendly staff and regulars plus the drinks are cheap

Dad & Son pint night. Sat under a large TV screen we enjoyed a pint, chat and kept an eye (almost inevitably) on the game. Monday night and the Fox was pretty busy with people enjoying their beer and watching the football. My son tells me this is a 'blokes' pub but it had good beers on and a lively atmosphere on our first visit. They obviously do food but we didn't eat, so beyond seeing a menu promo on the table, I can't comment.

My favourite pub. As a local, I can call this pub my family's pub. The service is beyond excellent. The food is delicious! The pistachio ice cream is to die for! This is the perfect place for a lovely family meal or just a few drinks (maybe more than a few). The atmosphere is really lovely!

No coment I was very delusional because I was here with my family today in the garden and the new owner was being very gross we had a baby and a dog in the garden it started raining so then we entered so then the rain could stop because we knew that kids weren’t aloud at 6 so we were waiting for the rain to go but then he told us to leave the staff there was very good but the owner was being very disrespectful to us then he told hs to leave because we weren’t aloud inside just because we had a dog and a baby

Visited this pub today as in Thrapston meeting friends and what a great pub it is. The beer garden is fantastic, just the thing needed on what was a sweltering day. There was a great range of lagers on sale and all at amazing prices, I couldn't believe how cheap this pub is. All the covid protocols in place and excellent standards noted throughout. This pub is an absolute credit to the Landlord, I will definitely be making a return visit.

Without a doubt, the best pub for miles around.

When you can catch something going on its good fun but cant seem to find a working phone number or current website to get updated info. also they only take cash! When yopu do happen to to catch something going on is great fun.

Good quick service , great value drinks but god knows why they only take cash in this day and age. The towns cash machines are always empty at weekends. Not sure who runs it now, but somebody needs to put their stamp on it and will be a great place.

Visited as the charter fair was on in Thrapston every year its normally a great place to drink and enjoy some music but no atmosphere and now just a pub with loads of tv's and sports used to be a lovely cosy country pub now a lifeless sports bar that only take cash no cards which to me is dodgy disappointed

Popped in for a beer with the wife. Nice pub! Just done up apparently. Really nice and very busy. Seemed very popular. Only had drinks so can’t comment on food. Reasonably priced drinks. There was a great atmos! Would go back.

Service very slow been in this pub on several occasions bar staff take forever to serve you on a busy night .one night I got fed up with waiting we walked out and went somewhere else .

This was day 2 of my hiking trip and I had just reached Thrapston, the temperature was getting higher and higher and I desperately needed a cold drink.The Fox Inn was the first pub I spotted and I was soon being served by friendly staff.

Met with some friends for some drinks and to hear a live acoustic musician (Patrick Foley) and certainly not disappointed. Once again Russ and Katy have found a star performer, and our group of 8 had a really enjoyable evening. Very good prices too, will.be back again soon. Also has a quieter bar where kids are welcome til 6pm.

Visited on Christam Eve with my Father in Law. Despite being very busy we were served very quickly, friendly bar staff, nice atmosphere with family room on left and 'drinkers' room on right. Good choice of usual branded beers plus some goid guest ales too. Very good prices on all drinks, can't fault it. Goid job done by Russ and Katy and their team!
