Quite nice place, help yourself to seats. I ordered 8oz rump steak. If I was a chef I definitely would not serve a steak with 3oz of inedible fat on it! Very disappointing. Either they didn't see it or couldnt care less!

We had a working lunch here and left satisfied and nicely full after haddock and chips mains and a bucket of wings starter The 2 for one mains make it decent value and we enjoyed good service Cleanliness could be improved..tables were sticky and cutlery not clean, it otherwise, good old pub grub

Excellent bar snack & desserts. First visit here & certainly will be back, lovely food, accommodating staff & knowledgeable incl duty manager. Lovely atmosphere & nice beer garden.

It take around 10 miles from my place to this restaurant, the main reason is because this is the only place which selling wild exotic steaks like crocodile, wild boar, kangaroo, zebra, camel, buffalo meat and ect.... All the staffs are nice, polite and friendly. The only things We're not satisfied was the cooking not up to standard when their are very busy.

Having just returned from a trip to Bruges I recognised many of the beers here as Belgian, The beers and the staff here are first rate.

Great little bar if you like your real ales and European bottled beer. Fantastic range available and they take good care of their draught beer. Wine is more limited, as is range of cider. Great atmosphere - dog friendly too.

I've previously left a 4 or 5* review on Trip Advisor for The Fox. Our last visit there for my Fathers Birthday was such a let down though. The Fox management have either changed hands or have become greedy on their reputation as prices have greatly been increased, standards dropped and portions made smaller. The two for one deal was always fantastic with The Fox but now prices are so high that the 'deal' becomes a joke. My parents had a prawn starter which they expected to be like a prawn cocktail but consisted of a small pile of prawns in the sauce blobbed on a plate with lettuce and dry bread triangles. I went and got them butter but there was no care or effort given to these disappointing starters. My father had gammon and once he would have been served a huge gammon piece with a pile of chips at The Fox but instead there was more plate visible than food. The whole meal was grossly overpriced and underwhelming and we simply won't return or recommend anymore. I work in Shipley and some of my customers have said the same.

Heard a lot about this pub / restaurant so we tried it with two of our older granddaughters, we were slightly disappointed with the meal and the service, there was not too much on offer for vegetarians and they were offering a two for one deal which is a little unfair when there is an odd number in the party.

Looking for a last quick drink before a train home we decided to pop in. Initially I was a little sceptical as it's opposite a derelict night club and at an initial glance looked like there should have been a luncheon vouchers sign on the door, but inside this is a superb cozy place to try ales, craft beers, ciders, gins..... from all round the world. The place had a nice buzz to it on an early Friday evening with a friendly atmosphere, with plenty of quirky signs, decorations and objects adding to the ambience. The staff were helpful letting us sample a couple of the hand pulled beers before making a final choice. A visit to the toilet could take a little longer than usual as the walls have been papered in old Viz comic's. Didn't get to sample any of the food, but if it's anything like the beer it should be superb! Only down side to the visit was I ended up missing my train!

Five of us went here for a meal on Saturday evening at 7pm, whilst the pub was very busy we didn't have to wait too long for our meals which arrived well presented and hot. Two of us had the pie, one had Fajitas, one had lasagna and I had chilli. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the portions were just right. The meals were 2 for 1 and as there were 5 of us we were charged half price for the 5th meal which was nice. All the staff were very pleasant and friendly.

Met us for a family birthday food was mediocre at best. Would think twice about going again. Technically meals are 2:1 but as we had an odd number of diners worked out quite expensive. Beer and lager was well kept.

Great local bar, Loads of beers on tap and the bottle list is vast to say the least, Give it a try...

We visited as a family last week as a bit of a birthday treat for No2 and as always the food was good, tasty, simple and (apart from a bit of soggy broccoli) well cooked. The service was a wee bit slower than we had come to expect, but it was 1/2 term and a Monday lunchtime, so a bit of leeway is required. I still rate the place highly. It is unpretentious, great value, and does what it does best: proper pub grub. Can't wait to go again soon.

Me and my friends were disappointed with the food, after waiting 45 mins. Roast dinners were not up to standard, processed meats and the 5 adult meals were of different proportions. We did not bother with afters. Nice building, a lot of customers, cannot see us eating there again.

We had the two for one deal not really two for one because the first one is overpriced food was ok but avoid the steak (need a good butcher ) my partner had the ribs in b&q sause said was really nice but I fell for the steak still chewing it now but overall not to bad

I visit this place a lot ! One of my favourite places to dine, the staff are excellent and genuinely put there customers first ! Never had any bad service and the lady who greets you at the door has fabulous customer service ! Over all a brilliant place

Many visits here ( more than the system will aloow to report) Always well looked after here. You are never rushed which is as well as the portions are huge. Lovely Sunday Roasts and enormous deserts

Excellent Little Bar, Great selection of ales on tap and a mammoth selection of bottle, There is live music during the week and quizzes, Excellent bar and luckily on the doorstep.

From arriving to the puddings the server was very attentive , really seemed a genuinely friendly guy .We had the early bird menu , if you want 3 courses order before the time limit we were still ok but just a warning , Look for the offers on the fox,s website , good offers if you join there mailing list .

This bar always feels welcoming when you enter. the bar maybe a little small, but that is the great thing about these new cafe bars that seem to be popping up everywhere around the Bradford area. The atmosphere is buzzing with mutual enjoyment of the fabulous range of beers and lagers. The TV is there for important events but not always turned on: people who frequent The Fox enjoy good conversation instead. Neither is there a games machine in sight, which is also to be celebrated. It is like the old fashioned coffee bars of the past: good beer and conversation is the order of the day (and night!) Bar food is also available on request.

Consistently good food and value with good service with a revised menu on a regular basis in pleasant decor.Regular visitors receive a discount email.

We visited as a family for the first time and we will definitely visit again. The menu was extensive but still had a lovely home cooked feel to it. The price, quality and service were excellent. It was busy even during late afternoon so I would recommend booking in advance.

Food was good valve and most of the staff were very friendly, apart from one waitress who tutted when you asked for anything and everything seemed to be too much trouble. Service was a little slow. Everyone said the food was good, my rump steak was very overcooked and tough ( I asked for it to be cooked medium), this is the reason I did not rate the Fox higher. Good range of drinks.Would go again but avoid the steak !!

The food was excellent. Good choice of menu. The only thing that let the restaurant down was a certain senior blond waitress who was extremely sarcastic .

We had a super family event, with a group of 9 at this country pub restaurant. Great pub food, well cooked and presented at very reasonable prices. Great beer too. Our food was made all the more enjoyable by the convivial good old-fashioned pub atmosphere, and by the super service by Victoria (pictured), our fun waitress, who has a great personality and deserves a special bonus for bringing us back for more! We needed to arrange another family dinner the following weekend, and I didn't hesitate to book ourselves in again for more great food and atmosphere.

Brilliant food, great atmosphere, very helpful and friendly staff, excellent value 2 for 1 meals, cooked exactly as ordered, No complaints from this gobby customer , even left a tip .. there's a first.. thanks to the waitresses, especially Victoria who deserves a mention

A wonderful small but perfect bar, which has grown in stature over the past two years since its opening. Now a pub that brews its own beer as well as providing decent food, excellent service and plenty of choice.

I went here this afternoon with my daughter, her boyfriend and my 11 year old granddaughter for a celebratory meal after watching my daughters graduation ceremony. I'd never been before and I must admit I was quite impressed, especially with their menu. All meal were 2 for 1. We decided to try some of the more unusual meat that was on offer. Between us we had a Crocodile, Reindeer, Kangaroo and I had the Zebra burger. I would have preferred a steak but they only had a choice of 5 today (see photos). The restaurant was surprisingly quite busy, when we arrived at around 4.30pm. Waiting staff were great, they were polite and friendly.The burgers were unusual, but very enjoyable. I would love to try some of the others in the near future.There is also a beer garden and a children's play area.Did we all enjoy it?......YES Would I go back?........YESWas it good value for money?.....YESWould I recommend it?...........YES

The Fox public house on the Bridgenorth Road just outside Wolverhampton, is a popular venue. The pub had a large car park ,with play area for children just outside the main doors. The area is overlooked by windows of the resturant so children at play appear to be safe.We had reserved a table for 6 pm and pleased we had. The pub was full even at this early evening. The large car park was well populated but places were still available.We were shown to a table in the TV area of the bar.. Some of my party felt a little uneasy as people appeared to be looking at us as the TV was afixed to a wall immediately above our table. This area was also very noisy with little children shouting ,laughing and screaming as children do. We have been here before but have always eaten in the other part of the pub by a window overlooking the main road or the play area. We were not happy but didn't complain as we felt the pub was so full no other table would have been available, Also they operate a two hour eating intervals and to change tables would have eaten into our slot.The menue was wide and interesting. There were grills consisting of different steaks in different sauces. There was an exotic menue too of crocodile, antelope and other meats. We opted for three sizzling steak which came cooked as per our instructions. It was accompanied with Chips, onions, mushrooms and side salad. The proportions were enormous. We also had a vegetarian lasagna ( menue not wide on vegetarusn dishes) and two steaks from the grill. There was a mix up with our order but this was rectified quickly and without fuss.The puddings were large sundaes of different kinds and two sticky toffee puddings. Again the proportions were gigantic.We had a bottle of merlot, a pint and half if Banks bitter and a pint of diet coke. The whole meal for the duxvifbys cane to just under £100.00. The meals were two for one.The service was friendly, the meals excellent and if good value. The evening was spoilt by the position of our table under the TV , the rowdiness of children and the constant chattering of their accounting machine which was situated very close behind us.I wouldn't let this put me off the Fox but certainly would avoid eating in the TV lounge ever again

Nice menu, buffalo, crocodile, kangaroo etc. are all on the menu!! A two for one pub, with good friendly staff. A beer garden at the side with parking at the rear. Portion sizes are just right with a good menu. Would recommend.

Pretty good, staff nice enough, good selection of beers. Nothing special to be honest, u can tell it used to be a square shop with no character. Personally doesn't beat a pub!!

Staff friendly and helpful. Food good, portion sizes good. Would go back. Menu nothing to exciting but for £5 per head who's complaining.Thinking the decor is looking a bit tired.

Great little pub that serves some fab bottled beers. If you are looking for something a little different to drink then this is the place for you. Good grub available too

Visited this restaurant this lunchtime 8th December. They serve a good vegetarian meal with a lunchtimemenu for £5.00. They also have a two for one menu with loads of choice.Very reasonable. The service was good considering they were busy. We often travel the half an hour journey as it is one of our favourite places to meet friends and family.
