Beautiful food we chose the Sunday pork roast & it did not disappoint 👍 All the staff we spoke to could not have been more welcoming to myself, my husband & our dog 👍💖🦮 We definitely recommend this establishment & we look forward to visiting again in the near future 👍

An excellent pub with a superb range of drinks and food. Friendly service and dog friendly - perfect! On our doorstep but never go enough - need to change that!

Food was lovely, staff very friendly & efficient. The only thing that we weren’t happy about was the 10% service charge added onto the bill when we went to pay our bill. I feel like this should be an option & a tip should be given if you chose to.

This is a great place to just eat with your family, you can even take the dog. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. The food was varied and catered for all tastes. Can thoroughly recommend it and will definitely be visiting again. Thank you to all the staff for making our visit so enjoyable

Brilliant! Popped in for a bite to eat with my mother and my daughter. Really friendly staff, and super attentive. The place is so clean, the food was delicious and the decor really works. Will certainly return, especially as the brunch menu looks amazing!

Went for Sunday Lunch, little disappointed potatoes were defo old and had no taste, did not like plastic peas through the veg. Would not recommend. Cauliflower cheese and service was good

Ate here during a weekend in Warwick for the races. Lovely conservatory area in which to dine as well as bar and outside. The staff were pleasant and the food was great. I thought food was reasonably priced by today's standards. Would definitely return.

We arrives for an early evening bite to eat around 5pm. The pub had obviously been very busy as the bar was covered in a large number of dirty glasses. The bar person was excellent. When we went to our table we sat for quite some time before I asked a member of staff if we could make an order. She seemed shocked by my request. We ordered a 5 tapas deal rather than individually for £9 / tapas and also a charcuterie board. The food was fine but there wasn’t much of it. For example the hot chorizo dish had 12 very small pieces, this as an individual tapa would cost £9 and certainly would not be good value for money. We had a squid tapa and there was less than eight pieces so one of us only had one piece. 5 croquettes, normally £9. I do wonder if the pub was running short of food after a busy lunchtime. My grandson’s meal off the kids menu was excellent. The young man who served us was very pleasant, polite and helpful but the other waiting staff were less welcoming, it was as if they were worn out.

Been to the Fourpenny Shop numerous times,both with family and the two of us , because it’s great! This establishment is well decorated ,clean and has a lovely community feel about it. The staff stay much the same ,which I feel is always a great sign too. We were served by Jordan once again for our Sunday Lunch, who is always very polite and efficient. Our Lunch today was early but the restaurant soon fills up , so always book. The Fourpenny is very close to Warwick Castle , so ideal for Lunch after a visit. We specifically went for the Roast Sunday Lunch and it never disappoints. We had the Pork and Beef, both the meats were fabulous quality. You always get the Large Yorkshire Pudding with Roast and lashings of Vegetables . In addition , extra gravy too! We didn’t have the Desserts this time, but they have been excellent on previous visits. Great , good value food ,in cosy ,comfortable surroundings. Glad to have it in Warwick.

Lovely meal great staff. Our local pub has been refurbished with great garden area and conservatory. Great for a night out with family and friends.

We used this hotel as a base for a walking break with a group of Ramblers. We had breakfast and evening meal each day which was plentiful and well cooked. As a group of hungry walkers we were very impressed with the quality and quantity of food. Staff were really helpful and kind. Rooms were comfortable and clean and there were absolutely no complaints from anyone. The only downside to the whole experience as the organiser was getting vegetarian options added to our menus and lack of understanding of food allergies, which is such a shame although it did get resolved in the end which is the important thing.

Perfect find! Made a very last minute booking for Valentine’s Day. Service was impeccable from the moment we walked in the door - very friendly and welcoming, the steak was amazing and they even made a mushroom sauce for my partner as he doesn’t like peppercorn. Really lovely place and we will definitely be back! Thank you!

A great venue for a small gathering of old school friends. I asked if we could be in the garden room and when we arrived our table was all set up ready for us, including the glasses for a preordered bottle of celebratory fizz. It was great, so lovely and warm in there with the log burner going, it created a lovely atmosphere on a cold day. Our food ticked all of the boxes for our party, everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Special thanks to Jordan and Alex for really looking after us, Nothing was too much trouble. This is our second visit for a school mates gathering and definitely won’t be the last ! We all loved the refurbishment too, what a great transformation.

They were very accommodating when we needed to find somewhere to eat with just 10 minutes to go before their last orders! We were just here visiting a family member in hospital and don’t know the area but glad we found it here. Comfy pub, lovely atmosphere and the food was delicious. Dog friendly and lovely service.

Came in for the Tuesday steak night. A very warm welcome from the team when we arrived. The pub is warm and cosy - a great atmosphere! The food was excellent and service was fantastic. Would highly recommend! One of the best pubs in Warwickshire.

We visited twice, the first time had been booked a bit in advance, about a week, but the second visit the next day was booked at 2 hours notice and they managed to fit us in. The service was good especially as on the 2nd trip they were quite busy. The food was really tasty with quite a few options. My grandson managed to drop his dessert bowl part way through, and they came and quickly cleaned up, then minutes later returned with a replacement, we didn't ask or expect that, but it was no problem for them at all. We were staying at the racecourse on the CAMC site, so it was really on our doorstep .

Great excitement, a Camera pub that provides meals on a Friday night 22st October 2023 Arrive for booked table at 7.30pm. Directed to a drafty cool conservatory. We were eventually served with four mains at 9.00pm! The food was delicious but the ravioli was the size of a starter. When we asked for a dessert at 9.30 we were told the kitchen was closing! Was it our fault the staff took 90 minutes to serve up the mains? Eventually dessert arrived and some heaters were put on. However, sitting next to a drafty window was not fun. Hope this isn't typical of the Four Pennies which has a great atmosphere.

Totally the absolute best thing so far in Warwick we’ve been to! Fabulous food, fantastic atmosphere, brilliant gin/beer/wine choice and live performance on guitar and harmonica with a clarinet. Beautiful! Make sure you attend!!

The best hot beef baguette we've ever had. Lovely home made chips and a pot of tasty gravy. Fabulous location, great beer garden and friendly staff.

We just stopped for a quick drink in the early evening. If was very clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly. The prices seemed mild. I appreciated not having loud grungy music, nor TV screens. The pub is dog friendly, except in the mid section, and there's a great sun room, garden, decking and so on. There are even rooms for the night at ground level, opening onto a sort of cloister facing the garden. My only gripe: There seemed to be three real ales, but the two I tried were a bit on the bland side, despite me requesting one with a bitter flavour.

Excellent venue with lovely outside seating. Excellent choice of beers but no Chardonnay!!! Food is 5* but not for a vegetarian. Please get some Chardonnay and vegetarian options. Apart from that a great venue!

This is a great and welcoming traditional pub with rooms. Although it is owner run and is described as a small hotel. Either way the food was fantastic! Ham, egg and chips and Caesar salad both excellent with well kept beer. Heaven! Service is good and friendly.

Sunday lunch is not for the faint hearted. Portions are large, well presented, quality ingredients. Best value in Warwick and excellent service from a great team of staff. I would highly recommend this eatery

We met up with friends here for an evening meal and had a great time all our meals were great 3 of us had a Thai curry with sticky rice and a side salad of mango cucumber onion and lettuce and 1 had fish and chips best batter ever, all the staff were great, Shaun always keeping us informed about service and we weren’t rushed at all unlike Shaun as he seemed to be dashing about all evening sounds a great place to stay

By far the best pub and restaurant in Warwick. Attentive staff, great service and food to die for in good sized portions. Always 6 real ales on pump along with a great selection of other beers and cider. A CAMRA pub again short listed for awards in 2023. Booked for 2 nights to attend Crufts. Doesn’t look like much from the outside. Delighted once booked into our room which was very clean, warm & welcoming. Had a Saturday early evening meal for 2 with one looking for gluten free options. Excellent choices and the portion sizes perfect leaving a little over full. Good enough to entice back and tried the gf fish and chips 2 days later. Excellent batter and onion rings superb. Staff friendly, helpful and polite. Good atmosphere in the pub with regulars in the bar but separate restaurant for dining. I am only visiting the area and felt welcome. Shame this is not my local.

We booked an evening meal for Wednesday and arrived at the booked time of 7.00pm. We were offered drinks on several occasions and said on each “hi guys” offering that we would like to see the wine list and menu. We eventually gave in and ordered wine and water and still no menus had been given to us. After 30+ minutes were handed menus and were informed by a young and charming, but unsupervised, server that “the kitchen was not accepting any further orders for the next 20 minutes or so”. I fully appreciate the importance to the hospitality sector to return to profitable trading but I am of the opinion that the young, keen and attentive front of house staff were being left out to dry with a lack of experienced supervision to handle customers comments about a belligerent or maybe understaffed kitchen function. The food, when it finally arrived was good +, but the customer service is what makes people return.

This is our second visit for Sunday lunch with the last few weeks. After trying lots of places in Leamington and Warwick, we thought we’d give this place a whirl. Wow, it’s just so nice to have such fabulous service from start to finish! The staff are so friendly and helpful. The food is good quality, perfectly cooked and great value for money. I would thoroughly recommend trying this place. Oh, and the garden is super pretty! ❤️ Well done all at The Fourpenny!

We have been a couple of times since May 21 and we had a lovely and well presented meal both times. My partner had the Sunday lunch with very tender beef, and I had the fish board. Very happy with the whole experience and we'll be back soon..We went for an hour and ended up staying for four... :)

Sunday lunch...beef was very tender and could not fault the service or food. We have returned since. The veg is freshly cooked and covid measures in place allowed for a relaxed lazy lunch

My partner & I enjoyed a really great Sunday lunch. Marie, front of house, was excellent. The food & portion size was fab, leftovers for tomorrow! Really really recommend, my partners a chef & has high standards - we both loved!

I do like a restaurant with short menus. It shows that the food is freshly cooked. We enjoyed the first meal very much and returned the next day to eat again. Very friendly staff and an excellent welcome on both occasions. Prompt service with a smile (I think, as you couldn't actually see the waiters mouth due to the new regulations that require them to wear a mask, which must be tiresome to wear one all the time). On our first visit, three of us had the pies and one fish and chips. All the meals were excellent, but the pies were outstanding. My steak, stilton and Guinness pie was the best I have had in years. It had firm shortcrust pastry with a great crunch. The filling was packed full of succulent steak, no gristle, with a fine layer of stilton. Served on a bed of fresh greens with a choice of potatoes or chips. Then on the second visit two more pies and two fish and chips, all of which were as good as the day before. The best surprise was when we got the bill and found that there was a 25% reduction on the food bill ASA continuation of the EOTHO subsidy. No wonder they were busy.This restaurant is highly recommended by all of us . Pie paradise!

My wife and I had a vegetarian dinner (gnocchi) and the cheesecake. We took our 2 dogs as well. Staff were really great, friendly and great service and the food was excellent. Will definitely go back when we are next in the area. Great food and service. Also choice of local Ales was good.

Had a wonderful stay here with my husband and daughter last week. We booked in for only one night while we visited the cancel. We wished we had stayed longer. We had our evening meal in the restaurant the food was absolutely delicious and such friendly service. Room was lovely. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Breakfast again was fabulous. We stayed at the hotel for two nights and had breakfast, two evening meals and Sunday lunch, with a six year old. I could not fault the food or service. Everything was delicious and we were so well looked after, really recommend for food and accommodation.

This was our first visit to this pub for a meal. It was absolutely fabulous. The arrangements they had in place for the Covid-19 were first class and probably the safest place I have visited during this pandemic. Really, really impressed. The food was excellent and the service and friendliness superb. If any criticism then it could have been a tad faster, but not too much. Live ib Scotland so can't be a regular, but if in Warwick we will certainly call again

I’ve been popping into the Old Fourpenny Shop Hotel now and again for the odd pint over the last four years. I’ve always been impressed with the range of cask and keg beers on offer that are maintained in good condition. I’ve also witnessed first-hand the many positive comments from the resident guests and diners. It was on this basis that I booked a table for myself and my wife, taking advantage of the Eat out to Help Out scheme. On arrival, I was impressed by the social distancing measures in place. We were greeted warmly by the restaurant manager who explained everything clearly. We thoroughly enjoyed our main meals (surf and turf/cod and chips). Service was friendly and efficient – all the staff knew their roles and communicated clearly with one another making our experience as diners both pleasant and relaxing. I would definitely recommend the Old Fourpenny Shop Hotel for both the quality of its beers and home cooked food as well as its convivial atmosphere and friendly service.

Great food, great staff and doing good at the extra restrictions! We discovered this gem during full lockdown with their delivery service and this is my second meal sitting in. Faultless. I’m veggie and there are great choices, but equally something for everyone....classics, burgers and some different things. I had the Tex Mex Buddha bowl and it was so fresh and tasty. I’ve had their veggie burger before .....one of the best I’ve ever had!

I really cannot fault the service and the food in The Four Penny Pub and highly recommend it. They have taken the new Covid requirements seriously and in a very professional way that made me feel safe and secure. And then there’s the food. OMG such lovely food. Quality and taste absolutely excellent. I had a pie followed by home made sticky toffee pudding and my other half had steak and the most amazing strawberries and cream (cake). If you’re staying at the nearby caravan site most definitely stroll up the road and have a drink and a bite to eat. Might even have to come back tomorrow!!

We’ve not long moved to the area and we wanted Sunday lunch. I did some googling and The Four Penny Pub came up as doing take away lunches. I rang up, the food was ready in 20 minutes and was amazing. We are now stuffed but very satisfied. Will definitely pop in once it’s open properly. Keep up the good work.

We ordered an off-premise Sunday lunch - that I was able to collect being less than a mile away and it was absolutely lovely! We had previously had a burger delivery and loved that too. My coeliac aunt was catered for - including some lovely (she says) gluten-free Yorkshire Puddings that were a complete surprise.Heartily recommend to Warwick locals (and beyond of course) looking for something different and once we're out of lockdown, we'll definitely come and visit the restaurant in person.

Visited on the last evening before covid-19 shut down whilst staying at the caravan site on the racecourse.(it's a 4 minute walk). The staff were friendly, warm and welcoming. The food was plentiful and delicious. Takeaways are available & next time we are nearby we will definitely visit/order takeaway again.

I was staying in Warwick and called into the Old Fourpenny Shop for dinner. I had not been there for a few years, but the welcome was a arm as ever. There is a good selection if beers, and a reasonable menu. This is a small hotel, but has the feel of a pub, with special on each night.There is a car park, but the entrance is very very narrow.If you are in the area, definitely worth a visit.

Some friends of ours have also stayed there and have highly recommended The Fourpenny Shop as a hotel. Well placed for the town centre and the castle etc. We would recommend this hotel to visitors to the town.

I have actually contacted the Old Fourpenny Shop Hotel about the poor service we received in their restaurant and they ignored my complaint, so I can only assume that customer satisfaction is low on their list of priorities. The poor service started almost immediately when, after being seated, we were handed four adult menus. We had to call our waitress back and ask for children’s menus for our grandchildren (age 8 & 10). These never arrived. We asked a second waitress and finally 15 minute after we were sat down we got appropriate menus. Even allowing for home cooked meals our orders took an inordinate amount of time to arrive. At least two groups seated after us were well through their food before ours arrived. We asked for dessert menus but no one ever came to take that order, so we paid and left.
