Fabulous Family Lunch. mark and Wayne couldn't have been friendlier or done more to make us feel welcome and at home. All our meals came in good sized portions (two of us had to take doggy bags home with us) and good value too. I chose the veggie chilli which was really tasty and they even adapted their offerings so that I could have mind with chips. An excellent decisions as the chips were amazing, large and chunky, crisp and golden on the outside fluffy on the inside. My son had the macaroni cheese which he said was the best he had ever had (apart from mine!). I tried some and agree, deliciously crispy cheesey topping! Will definitely be coming back.

The menu here is quite extensive and the pricing is extremely fair. We had a wonderful homemade chicken and mushroom pie with a selection of fresh veg and mash and all for just £10.95. The portions are huge so you won't walk away hungry that's for sure. Its a typical, traditional country pub, no widescreen tv and no music....bliss! Food is great and its service with a smile, couldn't ask for more!

Sunday lunch today, this place is a new find, and serves wonderful homemade food, yep, not home made heated in the microwave, but proper home made food! I had a wonderful soup to start, and the veg curry, and the rest of the table went for the Sunday roast beef, I should have, but was not disappointed by the curry either. We enjoyed a warm welcome, and the reserved table was ready for us. This is a total jewel in the beautiful Kent countryside, in a nice old sleep village... Give it a try!!

We were not welcomed at all! Stopped here last night about 730pm in the hope of food - 3 of us including 14 year old son. Quite empty so plenty of room no one wearing masks. As we entered barman told us to put on masks which we had ready and immediately did this. Whilst still in doorway he told us children weren’t allowed in. No apologies not spoken to politely no mention of this rule on their website. It may well be due to Covid but no explanation as to why our 14 year old was not allowed in. Quite shocked by his tone and glad to leave - there are ways to speak to people and this guy could do with some training (or manners).

Visiting from Canada, 6 of us entered the pub and the landlord barked that he can’t serve lunch for 6. Other people were eating, and we were incredulous. We thought we misunderstood. We asked again, and he again barked that he had told us already, and he can’t serve lunch for six. The ironic part was there was a notice on the door that staff will not tolerate rude behaviour. Well the beer seems to have got even more undrinkable, fortunately I haven't had the bad experience, but my good friends have. The food has also dropped another level, and the star rating is now out of date. This pub appears to have lost its identity, and become a certain persons private country residence rather than a hostilary to serve the public. My advise is to use the very much more professional establishments that sit within a very short distance of this place of no welcome, with distasteful beer and discussing food

The Four Elms is first and foremost a village pub in the way that village pubs should be. A warm welcome is assured. The food is reassuringly jus- and drizzle-free. There are no pompous words on the menu as a way to bump up prices by a few quid a dish. This is hearty, home-cooked fare. If you're hungry, this is a great place. In the middle of the country this recently taken over pub has great friendly staff. The food is original British Pub Grub at sensible prices. Lovely onion gravy and not a jus in sight. Recommend for a family meal out or sunday lunch

DO NOT GO TO THIS INN. Having waited for ten minutes for somebody to come and take our order we called for anybody that was serving. When the "gentleman" came out and we asked for the menu he grudgingly picked it up and we explained that we had been waiting 10 minutes. He then shouted at us too get out. We did not raise our voices until after we were told to get out. I have never bee treated like this and will never return.

My daughter said it’s the best millionaire shortbread she’s ever had. My tea was delicious! We will definitely be back.

We decided to visit the Sennockian as we hadn't been before and are 'spoons fans. Very nice pub, the staff were friendly, the food came quickly and was spot on. One of the few I've visited where I didn't have to climb a flight of stairs to visit the loo! We were there on a Thursday lunchtime and it was relatively quiet for the number of people there. All in all a good pub in a town centre.
