Just exploring the town last night and decided that a walk up London Street would be interesting as some quite historic buildings in the area. Then happened upon The Folly Inn and realised that it was Free House. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and good ale. Shall go back for food soon and another lovely pint. Thank you for welcome.

Came across this little pub whilst staying at hotel next door. Called twice during our stay. Sarah the landlady welcomed us with a great smile. Very small place with only her working. She works hard and deserves to make a go of it. She even gave us a free packet of crisps when we said our evening meal was not good. Do give it a try if in the area.

This rather unassuming and modest little pub was just a few yards down the road from where we were staying. We thought we would try it for a pre-dinner drink. We were welcomed warmly by a charming landlady who showed us a table and brought out our drinks. It was so comfortable and welcoming that we managed to squeeze in another drink before our pre arranged dinner! It was one of those places which just made you feel relaxed and comfortable. Thank-you to the delightful landlady.

I wouldn’t normally write a review after just grabbing a quick coffee but I just wanted to say how fantastic the service was here at Costa in Grove! Thank you!!

We’ve been here a few times for sandwiches, today we thought we would try the Brie, bacon and cranberry paninis. I can honestly say it’s the worst panini I’ve ever had. The bacon was really very fatty and cold. Both of us only ate one mouthful and then had to remove all the bacon. The lady behind the counter was very busy so I didn’t feel able to complain.

Takeaway visit early this morning to beat the crowds. Shelves were heaving with deliciousness so really spoilt for choice. I selected the usuals, almond croissant, pain au chocolate and a chocolate brownie but extra treat of a blackberry custard pastry (too good looking to pass up) a sausage roll, hot from the oven (steaming in the cool bake house air) and finally... A cinnamon bun from the tray expertly selected by Rory. The man has the skills of a surgeon and the eye of a hawk in choosing the stickiest, most cinnamon-y bun in the tray... All stocked up and home to the family for some silent munching over coffee and juice. When you're in say Hi to Rory and the team and let him show you his zen master cinnamon bun selection routine.

Stowe is a beautiful example of Capability Brown's vision. We love to walk here. This time, we were there to perform. Military Wives singing as part of the for their tomorrow installation. Fabulous experience.
