Called for coffee and cake having enjoyed a nice walk with the dog around the park. This is dog friendly and allows them inside where there are plenty of tables as well as outdoors. There are two rooms which are airy and have tables well spaced out.. A delightful selection of meals, cakes, drinks and more, they sell ice cream and dog ice cream They provide Vegan, gluten free and vegetarian options.

Nice place but too many dogs. With the amount of rooms surely one area could be dog free. Dogs and the smell of them not conducive to food. Not every loves them!

After a lovely walk around Worden Park, what better way to finish than a trip to the Folly. Opening at 10am on a Sunday we were lucky to get a table. A very popular venue not just for dog walkers but for families alike. Offering a wide selection of breakfast items and cakes and hot drinks. Decor is simple but practical and welcoming. Plenty of staff which makes everything run smoothly and efficiently. Thankfully all of the staff we encountered were okay with dogs, which makes the experience so much better. Our food that we ordered was amazing. This food matched any restaurant that we have visited and was truly phenomenal. Will definitely be back.

Firstly, don’t expect a fancy cafe. This is an old building, quite dark with beams, stone floors and old furniture. Also, not a lot of tables and does get busy at peak times at weekends. All that said, the food is lovely as are the staff who are pleasant and efficient (I know that as a customer that’s what you expect but often not what you get). Would recommend any of the food, whether that be a toasted tea cake, a slice of cake or the fabulous Sunday lunch which is such good quality and great value. If the weather’s ok, you can always walk off lunch in the park.

Decided to call in to The Folly after a morning walk over the festive period. First impressions were excellent! Small building with a cosy and quaint decor! Warm welcome from staff who provided us with menus. The coffees were delicious and needed on a cold December day! We all decided on the ‘Full English’ breakfast. We all agreed the food was perfectly cooked with high quality produce! We will all definitely return again when next at Worden Park.

We popped in for cake and coffee on a Sunday morning. Sadly there was only a very small selection of cakes including one piece of red velvet cake. It was amazing - best I have ever had! The hot chocolates were nice too, although a little strong. The brownies were clearly made with real dark chocolate. The cafe had a strange ambience being a former stable - quite dark and cold. Definitely worth a try and we would return.

My family and I visited the Folly Coffee House during a trip to Worden Park with my niece.Due to her being Lactose intolerant, we had to be mindful of meeting her dietary needs (alongside the normal condition of finding a place that would allow our dog to sit indoors - especially on a hot day like today). Fortunately, both requirements were met.On arrival, we were informed that our dog could sit in the main café area, whilst my niece was able to get a Full English Breakfast tailored to her needs.I decided to have the BLT - a nice combination on lovely brown bread. The bill for all of us, including two rounds of soft drinks, came in at under £43 - which must be fantastic value for money when you're catering for five people (plus a dog who managed to get a hand made dog biscuit within the price we paid). All the staff who looked after us did credit to the café by being polite and eager to meet our requirements - especially on a day as hot as today.Thank you all for a fantastic brunch.

Despite this i was greeted with big smiles from a member of staff and made to feel really welcome despite me only wanting a brew. The staff found me a lovely little table to sit at at then arrived with my coffee shortly after. The rudeness of one particular member of staff today spoilt a lovely walk through Worden Park. Please consider how you approach customer service in future. It wasn’t busy, the sun was shining and we merely asked where the toilets were before ordering. The look of disdain and subsequent response from one of the kitchen staff was beyond rude and totally unnecessary, particularly in front of my 3 year old son.

Me and some of my friends from a Facebook society Cavalier King Charles Spaniels - UK held a doggy birthday party here on Sunday 13th May 2018. It was my dog and my friend’s dog’s birthday and we wanted to celebrate and have an organised meetup for the dogs to play together with families and kids. We all own Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. I rung the cafe a few weeks in advance, and they agreed to allow us to host our meetup with them. As it was such a beautiful day, they put our tables outside on the lawn. We ordered lots of coffees and ice creams and had a doggy birthday cake and some human ones too. It was a really lovely time and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We recently visited this lovely cafe and the food they serve here is delicious. I tried their soup which is delicious and the bacon and sausage barm was lovely. My partner had the avocado and chicken sandwich and she thoroughly enjoyed it. It can get busy and there aren’t a lot of seats so sometimes we have had to leave the cafe without eating/drinking. But if it wasn’t busy it wouldn’t be all that good I suppose. The only drawback for me is the price. It is lovely food but a bacon/sausage barm, chicken and avocado sandwich, 2 drinks and a slice of cake came to around £20 approximately, so it is pricey. A Diet Coke and bottle of water to go came in at £2.55. Maybe I am not taking into account the location and cost of running the shop in an area like Worden Park. They probably pay a premium to do business in that area which ultimately has to be made back somewhere. Anyway the good outweighs the bad by far and it is a strong 4 stars from me. Keep up the good work :-)

We've been a few times since it changed hands and it's been exceptional every time. The first time I popped in after doing some photography nearby as I was freezing. Brew & toasted teacake were just what I needed, it was cash only (as they'd only just opened) so that's all I had. Since then they now take card and we've been loads as a family. Staff and owners always fantastic, especially with the kids. Poached eggs on sourdough with bacon is outstanding. During summer it's always been packed, people waiting for tables. Leyland has been crying out for a decent coffee shop/cafe as one in particular in the centre of town is beyond poor (see my previous reviews). Please support this small business and make sure they make it through the winter months, we will be! (free wifi too!)

After a very wet walk in and around Worden Park, friends and I visited the cafe for bacon butties and coffee to warm up and dry off. The menu is varied and very good value for money. The service is efficient and the staff friendly, welcoming and pleasant. However, the cafe is 'dog friendly' and there were no fewer than 6 dogs in the small room whilst we were there! One of them actually cocked its leg on a table right next to us on its way out! Not pleasant when you're eating. The staff quickly appeared with mop, bucket and disinfectant but allowing dogs in an establishment where food is prepared, served and eaten is an absolute no-no in my book. Sadly it puts me off visiting again. But I guess there are more dog owners/lovers use the park than those of us who believe a dog's place is outside, so I guess the 'dogs allowed' rule isn't about to change any time soon.

What a lovely little place this is. Popped in for breakfast after searching online for somewhere new to visit. The café is in a very old converted stable and has preserved the atmosphere well. This is not a place for someone who likes bright lights and no atmosphere. We were welcomed with a big smile and told we could have anything from the menu. My son opted for one of the specialist toasted sandwiches which came with a beautiful fresh salad, homemade slaw and couscous. I had the scrambled eggs with added spinach on sourdough. One thing we both agreed on was special care seems to be taken on both the ingredients and preparation of the food. There is also a healthy twist on most that's on offer. We really appreciated this.
