Excellent quality food served by extremely friendly staff. I turned up two minutes after the kitchen had closed, fully expecting not be able to get any food, but I asked on the off chance… The staff were happy to accommodate me with a superb bacon and egg butty! Nice setting, clean and tidy. Staff pleasant and friendly. Varied menu with ample choices. The Black Pudding breakfast was excellent.

We only had coffee. But we were not rushed out, thankfully.

First timers here. Friendly helpful staff. Fairly priced at £10-15 a head for 2 lovely breakfasts plus coffees and a milkshake. Well worth the visit. We will visit again.

We love this place however since the ownership has changed in late 2023 the speed at which the food is delivered has declined significantly making the service often unbearably slow. Last week I waited 50 minutes for food to come out of the kitchen!!

Fantastic food and the girls can’t do enough for you. Absolutely love it here. Highly recommended for those of all ages and tastes

Excellent food, very pleasant staff

Really nice food, well presented and eggs cooked perfectly. My only slight criticism is the portion size for the 🍄 and halloumi dish. A very small piece of halloumi when u think double would be more sensible vs the price.

Excellent brunch. Good menu but not extensive- which we didn’t mind. Everything that came out looked amazing! We had the toffee apple pancakes which were delicious and very filling! Good coffee too!! Reasonably priced and staff very friendly. Will definitely be back soon.

I ordered a chicken burger, looked nice when it was served. The burger had been cooked in a deep fat fryer with dirty oil making the burger taste different. Bacon and halloumi was reheated, the tomato and chorizo sauce was flavourless. Not the best.

Fantastic food and service. We had a lovely brunch.

I visited today for an ice cream and a cup of tea. The staff were very friendly and the ice cream was excellent. The only thing that let it down was the outside seating ( where we sat) was really dirty, tables not cleaned, litter and a strong smell of dog wee.

this was my first time going here and i would definitely return. i was unsure on what to go for but ended up choosing the bagel with egg, bacon, brie, caramelised onion and rocket. it was to die for, there was nothing i would have changed it was perfect! the portion was a great size and i left feeling full but not in a groggy way. the staff are so lovely and really helpful. the prices are fair and honestly great value for what you get. amazing place!

Very expensive for the portion size. Sausages were going off as had that winey taste. Toilet was really dirty, which was really off putting. Staff are friendly and the service is quick. Cakes looked good, but decided to leave after a tiny sandwhich.

The best place in Penwortham! Always the most delicious brunch made with great ingredients. Emma is running a brilliant place and always wows us. Favourite place to eat and drink by far.

Been in for an early breakfast. One of the best I've had in a while and delivered with friendly service. I returned for one of their Tapas evenings and I have to say I was impressed. Thoughtful dishes full of flavour. The asparagus and egg was just perfect. Brilliant service as always.

Came here with my partner and our small dog Freddie for my birthday breakfast as it was dog friendly. Great quality ingredients and well cooked, very tasty food. Friendly staff. We both had the black pud breakfast, Freddie had x2 doggie sausages and we also had a latte and a flat white. Would recommend.

Had breakfast here this morning with two friends of mine from the Midlands and the whole experience was excellent from the service to the coffees and particularly the food. First class. I highly recommend this place.

Wow! What a great little place, really interesting menu and fairly priced. I had the ‘black pud’ served with sausages, poached eggs, bacon, black pudding and Stilton sauce. I was amazed by the quality of ingredients and presentation. It was delicious. Staff were lovely and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere.

When in here for the first time with my daughter, the food was nice and the staff were very friendly. Would I come here again, yes I would.

Food was great. Had to wait for a seat but they have a covered shelter and heating. Also welcome dogs.

This place is excellent! We have never been let down by the food. LOVE that they have menu additions and changes regularly. Beautiful and creative dishes. An absolute must visit!

First time visiting this little place and not disappointed at all, staff go the extra mile clearing the table is quick and a good vibe overall. So glad places like this exist and the food we had was above brilliant. I will be back here as now I feel i can change my coffee house of choice. If you find yourself nearby you must come here. I tip my hat to all staff and management and owners this place will be an amazing place keep the dream alive.

Very busy inside, (Saturday lunch time) but we got seated fairly quickly outside which is fine for an ice cream and coffee.

I like the cow shed, the food is nice. I wouldn't recommend going if you want variety as the menu is very limited and regularly the venue runs out of some options from the menu, but this is usually due to high demand. If you are planning a visit, book in advance if possible or arrive early to avoid disappointment

Why have a coffee shop that never ever has any cakes available after 3.

I went with my daughter the other weekend. It was pretty busy to start so we sat outside, a lovely waitress gave us our menus and switched on the outdoor heater. But shortly after a table became free indoors so she asked us to cone in I had the Ham Hock/cheese/chilli jam toastie..absolutely delicious 😋.. my daughter went for the sausage barm and fried egg.. clean plates all round..

A little gem of a discovery that my partner and I keep returning to. By far one of my favourite venues for a good lazy morning brunch or a quick stop off for coffee and cake. The food is exceptional and the staff are lovely. Well marketed on social media and good communication so I always know what's happening there in terms of special offers, updates to menus and opening times. Would recommend a visit.

We have arrived, 09-15 Sunday, after a 55min journey, and it is closed. Sort yourselves out.

My first visit to Cow Shed but sadly won't be rushing to go there again. Customer Service wasn't great and I felt rushed when being served despite being the only one in the shop.

Delicious as always and even better now they’re serving booze!! Finally decided to try other options on the menu instead of the usual B.A.E. on toast. Trying to expand my horizons I nervously picked the Chorizo and Pepper …. I had nothing to be nervous about. It was extremely tasty: chorizo, pepper, egg, bacon, avocado and pesto on toast. Who would have thought this would make for a winning combination?! Not me but I’m a convert. Plus now you can have a Prosecco with brunch there’s no excuse not to support local!

This place is just fantastic. Perfectly positioned and cute cow 🐄 print design. Food was amazing even my daughter loved it and she's a difficult customer to please. I had the salmon sirracha. It was superb. I always have to send poached eggs back as cold or hard boiled. These were absolutely perfect!! My new go to breakkie place. Most breakfast places I've tried taste just like I'd make at home. So what's the point? You won't be disappointed

By far the best place for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Great ice cream and cake too. And yes, the food does as good as it looks, if not better.

The cow shed is so good it’s out of hand, I would say it’s better than rise imo. The dishes are so well put together and the cakes are silly good homemade by the owner!!! Amazing

Have been here numerous times since lockdown began in March. Always for takeaways and coffee/cake fixes!! Highly recommend. The cakes are incredible!! Also dog friendly.

The food is beautiful and the service is brilliant. I love the choices on the menu and the black pudding bon bon is to die for. For a sweet treat I recommend any of the brownies on offer. They are amazing! I absolutely love this little place for a treat. You will not be disappointed!

Just had a lovely roast beef dinner, glass of red and an amazing sticky toffee pudding! Well done ladies, stay safe and stay strong, looking forward to visiting again in December.

Visit here very often and I am never disappointed Food is excellent quality and the flavour is amazing - Emma is a brilliant chef ‍ Range of choices on the menu - the menu also changes frequently to bring in new and interesting options Good location for a coffee and a cake or for brunch All food is presented beautifully! Staff are all lovely and accommodatingCOVID-19 restrictions are in place however do not disrupt or stand out in a negative way Clean and modern cafe I am never disappointed and always leave happily full and amazed by the quality Definitely try The Feisty Cow Ice Cream!

I met with family recently when looking for a coffee spot. I’d never been before and it was recommended to me. It was a great spot for a catch up. We had great coffees and cake. I will be visiting again when I go over to Penwortham to meet family. Great location.
