The Flying fish in Isle of Wight

Tatty van, abrupt owners. Expensive chips that look like they have come out of a cash & carry bag, and taste of fishy oil. Nasty.

I joined the queue at the Caravan and Motorhome club site, in the drizzly rain, really looking forward to some fish and chips. There were quite a few people in the queue, still waiting to place an order but I was happy to wait my turn. Whilst waiting, at least two people left the queue, they had obviously been waiting for some time. Finally, the fryer called the next person up to order - I overheard him say to them that he only had one piece of fish left! As soon as I heard this I left. The person who runs the van should have told everyone in the queue when his stocks were low, so that they did not stand around waiting to order something that would not be available when their turn came. who heard of a fish van running out of fish, bad stock control and appalling service!
