Went here on Saturday night. Food was amazing and service was good. Pre booked and decided on food when booking. Drinks not too expensive on board. There was music which was quite loud if you were chatting. There was singing from the captain after food was served. Cruised around the docks and the captain gave history on the docks. Def worth a visit on board. And will return another time.

Debra (she who must be obeyed). Surprised me with a little afternoon tea for an anniversary treat. What a treat it turned out to be. Jam butties as the skipper says where very nice. The staff were amazing and very accommodating assisting her indoors aboard. As she is disabled with limited mobility. The atmosphere on board was fantastic, with some really good reminiscent music. Now this is not the kind of attraction I would go for normally But,I really have to say it was an unexpected surprise Seeing the Albert docks from a totally different angle venturing upto Wapping dock and marina. Thank you very much for a wonderful excursion. How you do it for such an amazing price is beyond me. I sincerely highly recommend this lovely experience

Took my grandson for a trip on The Floating Grace. We enjoyed the afternoon tea, £20 per adult, £10 per child. The drinks menu was very reasonably priced. The staff were super friendly. The captain was entertaing. He gave a commentary on interesting things about the docks and played a mixture of music. He even let my grandson honk the horn ! He was absolutely delighted. We were fortunate enough to share the trip with some lovely ladies who got up and danced along to the music, making it a great party atmosphere. Honestly, for £20 for a cruise with afternoon tea, what is there to not like ? It was a lovely way to spend an afternoon.

I was looking for something different to do for dinner on a Saturday night in Liverpool and instead of the usual restaurant, came across The Floating Grace. I booked for two in advance and the price was very reasonable and we pre-chose our food as requested. We had a drink at The Revolution Bar (not a good decision) but it was only a one minute walk from the Floating Grace so very convenient. We boarded at 7pm and as the barge was only about half full were given a table for the two of us which we preferred. There was another smallish group, another couple and then two larger parties, one being a hen party of 7 ladies who were great fun. We set off at 7.30pm and the ride was interesting. My only disappointment was that the Captain asked before we set off whether people wanted to simply dance or also get some information about the route. Some of us requested some information as appropriate, but nothing materialised other than dance music, not that it was a major issue but a bit more balance would have been good. The wine was well priced and we were served by a lovely older lady who was very attentive. I had ordered the lamb shank and it was very tasty being a generous portion served with potatoes, carrots and broccoli with a rich gravy. My wife went for the nut and cranberry roast which, with the vegetables was too large for her but it was fine. The second of the two courses were good too. I went for the chocolate cake with cream that was hearty and my wife went for the fruit salad available if you order the Vegan main course, she declared it delicious! The food wouldn't gain any Michelin Stars but for what it was, it was very tasty, great value for money and catered well for everyone on board. The evening finished with the large groups dancing which was fun whilst we preferred to sit watching them and drinking our wine! We both left the barge agreeing that it was a fun evening, great value for money and something a little different in Liverpool. Go with realistic expectations and you will have a good time sailing through the locks in this attractive part of Liverpool.

We should have sailed at 7.30pm but it was 7.45 when we set off. We were asked to get there 15 minutes before so we arrived at 6.45pm for a dinning cruise which says it is 7pm till 9pm . I don't see why you would need to be there so early if it doesn't leave till 7.30pm and as I say it was 7.45pm. Food was bland. It was hot but lacked any flavour. As far as cruising the docks it did what it said it would do. Staff were very pleasant and did their jobs no better or worse than I would expect. I know a lot of people have rated this experience as a 5 star trip but for me I thought it was over priced. In total we paid £40 each for a meal and a cruise that lasted just over an hour and £24 for a cheap quality of red wine. Total spent £104. Definitely not value for money in my eyes. The biggest let down was the food. Small portions and lacking in taste.

What an absolutely enchanting afternoon tea experience we had aboard the Floating Grace to celebrate my sister's birthday! 🎉 The journey through the docks was nothing short of magnificent, and a huge part of that was due to the outstanding crew on board. Their willingness to assist and their friendly demeanor made every moment enjoyable—truly, no request was too great for them! The captain was exceptional, skillfully narrating fascinating tales about the docks and the iconic buildings we passed, which enriched our outing significantly. The young women serving our lunch were not only charming and cheerful but also radiated a genuine love for their work, which was evident in every interaction. One particularly heartwarming moment was when the staff took the time to assist an elderly gentleman as he boarded, demonstrating their kindness and professionalism. This thoughtful gesture truly highlighted the exceptional service we received throughout our outing and made our day all the more memorable! 💖🌊 #FloatingGrace #BirthdayCelebration #Gratitude

Booked an afternoon tea (at £139, for 6 of us) with friends for a catch up, thought it would be a nice quirky experience: the host spent a lot of time at the beginning talking about the sewage system on board, and how busy there were today with two other cruises, they dismissed the experience with constant reminders of how to pay and how you use the toilet (over described) within 5mins of cruising was rudely told to basically not talk because he could not hear himself think, as he spent 30mins discussing the history of the docks, then loud music played so everyone on board shouting to hear each other. Would have liked a teapot/cup and saucer like traditional afternoon tea instead 1x cup of Tea/coffee was brought to you in a mug. Plates etc where cleared away quickly when some were not even finished. Not the experience I was expecting at all I did not book for a history lesson. Got a funny look when I said no to purchasing raffle tickets. Felt very let down and annoyed that we had payed £139 to experience what I thought would be a pleasant cruise on a barge around the docks to catch up with friends, but all I felt I received was a history lesson and listening to a guy who clearly liked the sound of his own voice. Would not recommend

Food tasted good, not that impressive but they’re still tasty. We had a 2 course meal (1 main, and 1 dessert). Peter was very accommodating, funny and informative. He gave us some info on the history of the Royal Albert Dock and then played some music at the end part of the tour. It also helped that the people who were with us during this tour were very pleasant and friendly. I would say it is a great experience for couples, friends, families or even for single people who want to try something different and new in Liverpool. We would recommend it especially for tourists (like us) who are visiting the city. We also suggest booking the experience in advance so that you have more time to choose the dishes that you want and plenty of time to know if the tour will be pushed through or not as it depends on the number of people who will be joining in a particular date and time.

I cannot recommend this excursion highly enough. Booked afternoon tea with a friend. The food prepared by Jane was simple and lovely, we ate the lot. Tea piping hot. Debbie was super attentive and nothing was too much trouble, service with a smile epitomises Debbie. I have left the best till last, Ben the skipper was absolutely hilarious, down to earth and knowledgeable. We were educated on the wildlife, the history of the docks and the boat itself. Booked The Floating Grace for my friends birthday on Saturday 11th May for 4 of us. This was my 4th visit. We boarded as scheduled and shown to our seats by crew. A few elderly sailing and the crew assisted them onto the boat. Captain Peter informed us of the safety briefing and then explained what would happen during the sailing. Once that was done the crew came round each table for a drinks order then asked each guest what complimentary drink they would like with their afternoon tea. Afternoon Tea was served as we started to sail and Captain Peter gave us informative history information as we sailed through and around the Royal Albert Dock. The Afternoon Tea tray was served between 2 guests. Sandwiches freshly made, fillings as requested due to dietary requirements from my friends. Cakes & scones also fresh. 3 of us had coffee and 1 of us had boiled water. After Captain Peters history he played a good selection of tunes as we sailed along. Everyone was singing and most people stood up for a dance. Brilliant atmosphere and again an enjoyable experience. Toilet facilities on board were clean and accessible. A 'must do' for anyone visiting Liverpool! No doubt I'll be back and I'll continue to recommend the Floating Grace to everyone!

We recently spent an evening aboard and it didn't disappoint. The boat is easy to find in the docks and simple to get on the only tricky part is the steps down into the vessel but there is a handrail. On our visit it wasn't busy with only three tables but it was a wednesday evening after a bank holiday weekend so understandable the captain however made up for the lack of other customers effortlessly creating a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere Captain Peter really knew his stuff and had all the patter during the safety talk before casting off. He really knew his stuff and it made for a very interesting and funny time while eating the mains. Once all the hot food was gone the skipper took us further along to see more sights and gave his voice a rest and instead played some great songs through the speakers sadly he wouldn't sing even if Liverpool is the musical city but the pretty view, lights and dessert certainly made up for it. The food is certainly not Michelin standard but definitely good honest home food. Well made with good flavour especially impressive considering the size of the kitchen/galley would definitely be tricky if the boat was full. We were well looked after by our stewardess. A pleasant evening especially with all the little touches, definitely worth doing this trip especially if it's a special occasion, you get a different view of the city, a tasty meal, a drink or three and wonderful memories. We will return once we are back in Liverpool.

We recently had the pleasure of experiencing tea time at Floating Grace during our visit to Liverpool. While the sandwiches and sweets were average, and there were some concerns regarding the cleanliness of the food and utensils – we had to wipe down the wine glasses before use – the impeccable customer service and engaging entertainment truly stole the show. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction, making our visit a memorable highlight of our trip. Floating Grace may have room for improvement in certain areas, but their exceptional service and entertainment warrant nothing less than a glowing recommendation. We did the afternoon cruise for my birthday on Sunday April 28. There was a delay of 45 minutes due to the skipper being late because of a problem with a loose boat in the harbour. We wasn't kept up to date of what the issue was by the staff onboard. When He finally arrived the food was served. The food was disappointing, more like a microwave tray dinner. The meat was cold, carrots were hard. Dessert was OK. On the sail back music was played rather loudly which was uncomfortable for my Daughter as she has sensitive ears. We had to ask for it to be turned down but was soon turned back up. This was her first time on this boat but wasn't impressed in the slightest!. We have been on the floating grace twice before and must say the experience or the food wasn't as good. Gentle background music would have been more relaxing, although it does state that music is played on the boat but didn't expect it to turn into a party boat! We will never do this trip again.

We booked last minute for afternoon tea and sandwiches. It was a lovely afternoon, we had my elderly parents with us, my daughter and 2 year old niece, so finding things to entertain all ages isn't easy. Everyone enjoyed the afternoon, we had lots of...

While it was a good experience, the food was disappointing. The meat was processed, frozen roast potatoes/Yorkshire puddings and the apple pie was shop bought. Portions were quite small. Prices are not reflected in the quality. The staff were friendly and towards the end of the cruise it became a bit more lively. I think if there was a bit of a warm up before the food was served, as it was literally served the minute we set off, the atmosphere might have been a bit more relaxed and enjoyable. Matching cups for the tea would have been a nice touch or maybe even the option to have a pot of tea with matching cups. As they do afternoon tea, I assumed they have matching sets.

Booked an afternoon tea cruise for mums Xmas present, great option to have a gift voucher service so she was able to choose one of the different cruises. Found the whole process of purchasing the voucher online and then booking really straight forward Even being a local we saw parts of the Mersey and Liverpool that the public don’t generally see Skipper had a great local knowledge and spoke with passion and enthusiasm, adding to the overall experience, really beneficial for visitors to the area

We love this place. Excellent brunch menu and friendly service in a comfortable, calm environment. The only improvement would be to have some sweet options available with coffee.
