What a hidden gem in Florence Park - a hive of activity with foods and treats for everyone. Clean loos and fresh bread and great ice cream. Friendly staff who make you feel welcome and valued.

I'd not eaten here before, despite popping in for the refill shop many times. I was surprised by how nice everything was, for a couple of quid less than any cafe closer to the city centre. Lots of things seems to be a middle eastern or Indian twist on British staples, which I greatly appreciated. Will return!

Delicious cakes & bakes, brilliant coffee and tasty salads / lunches. The household refill shop and free water refills are an added bonus, as is opening at 9.30am on a Sunday :-)

Love this cafe! I visit regularly with my toddler, as well as meeting friends there for a catch up over coffee. The cakes are always delicious and they cater well for vegans. The current staff are really friendly and helpful.

This is the cafe one dreams about. In the middle.of the delightful Florence Park, serving excellent coffee, tasty lunches and divine cake. The lemon drizzle is yummy! Even during lockdown you can enjoy it on a bench and watch the dogs and kids Play. In the summer watch flying trapeze lessons. Or take part and then eat cake too!

I used to love Flo's cafe and i was looking forward to come back again with my lil one. We ve been couple of times there and few of the staff are lovely, but there's a blond lady that she s been always rude with me !! She seems like she is a manager or supervisor by the way she is talking with the rest of the staff. She s been rude with them as well while waiting for my order. Such a shame as it used to be such a friendly, calm and cosy place to go. Our days there are over, sad about that as the food and the cakes are AMAZING!

When this place opened I was really pleased - finally a nice cafe in the gem of a park that is Florence Park. I had felt this was something we needed for years. But I'm sad to say it is not quite what I imagined. Firstly on the occasions I've visited it has seemed more like a direct replacement for the mother and baby centre that the council closed down than an inclusive cafe for all. The seating is uncomfortable, the tables outside are so close to the edge of the walkway that anyone with mobility or sight issues of any age, but particularly older people, could easily take a tumble and potentially hurt themselves. The ONE toilet available was filthy the last time I visited, with dirty, bloodied sanitary towels overflowing from the rubbish bin in the cubicle. It smelt awful and was so unpleasant, particularly directly after food. Overall the toilet area was appalling and is fitted out to mostly to cater for mums and babies. There needs to be at least another three adult toilet cubicles if they are going to serve food and a professional cleaner to keep things clean and tidy. The tables are self-service and have glasses and cutlery on them but when I visited they were not so clean. It can be difficult to find a table and as they are mostly long benches which means sharing (which is fine, but sometimes you feel you are intruding, especially if a group is already seated), or if you can't manage to use them and the few more accessible seats and tables are full, you have to leave. Last time we sat at the table behind the shelves next to the children's play area (which takes up at least a third of the potential space) which we found dirty and with the last customer's trays over it. Because it's largely self-service we had to take these to the till area but didn't have facilities to clean up. The food was tasty, but we felt it was over-priced for the portion size, and seemed like it had been sitting around a long time (it was only about 1pm) and had become dry. The cakes are on the pricier side (about £3+) and portions aren't that generous. I would like to see the outside seating extended into the garden area, made flat and safe for children and all adults, with proper seating (on my second visit I struggled to find an adult sized chair!!). Perhaps the opening times could be extended so that it is accessible to more of the community? Maybe the inside layout could be reviewed so that seating is more accessible and that customers without children do not feel like they are intruding on mother and baby spaces? Is this what was intended by the Flo Park community when this replacement for the mother and baby centre was devised? If you are going to advertise as a 'hub' for all, and take people's money, do more to make everyone feel welcome, and at the very least keep your toilet clean!!. Otherwise you will lose more potentially loyal customers

Cafe just by the park. Limited menu but ok for the site. No cream for the scones! But very apologetic. Close to the kids play area. Fulfills its purpose.

Had met up with work colleagues a few times here in the last four weeks. You can eat your own food. You can buy hot food. Tea and cake. The staff are friendly. We stayed for four hours on one met up. Saw old friends. They have a play bit for the children to explore in. They have board game sessions. They have a craft shop. It's next to the park. Nursery and midwife next door. There is lots of birds flying around esp robins. Nice herb garden outside. Just a lovely place. They did best feeding sessions. Lots of leaflets giving advice on different subjects. Love this place
