The Flintlock in Hinckley and Bosworth

We have just been to the flintlock for lunch,we had 2 mixed grills which were delicious,and 2 drinks.with a 30% off voucher I had been sent the 2 meals came to £19.30,absolute bargain! Lots of hot tasty food.we have been many times before and it seems to get better everything we go.all the staff and management were very friendly and our server rachel was really lovely so thankyou👍 keep up the good work guys 😚 we will definatley be back soon. 10/10

Came for my grandsons birthday, we were a party of 11, due to some things not being available from the menu the manager took the time to phone my son and ask if we could pre order so he could make sure he had it . We came for an afternoon meal, service and professionality by all staff was spot on, We didn’t have to wait long for our food and it was delicious, Sian one of the staff behind the bar was pleasant and polite, making sure everything was okay with our meals

I only popped in for a pint… When the manager finally got off his backside to serve me, he put my pint down on one side of the bar and my change at the other! (even though I held out my hand) Then sat back down to vape! The beer is good the customer service needs improvement.

This is my local pub and I come in on quite a regular basis In the last 2 years I have only managed to order a mixed grill twice I have heard every possible excuse for why they have not got one, we only order on Tuesday (I went in on a Friday!!) They won’t let me order, the delivery did not come If that’s not bad enough you then have to go through to see what else they have not got Can we please have someone that can actually manage the supply of food in the menu

Visited recently to watch the Liverpool Vs Man City game there were several screens in the bar with full commentary through speakers, excellent picture and clear amplified sound which was good. Really enjoyed the visit and I will back again.

I had the roast turkey dinner. There was only 10 minute wait for the meal to arrive and it was piping hot and very tasty. The portion size was very generous.I would highly recommend to my friends and family. ☆☆☆☆☆

Went here today (14/07/24) with family for the first time, food was on the table less than 15mins after ordering ! It was very hot and tasted lovely. Nice staff, pleasant atmosphere. We all agreed we would return without hesitation ! *****

Have come in a few times with my daughters and husband. Food is amazing, I had the fish finger sandwich. My daughters are vegetarian and they enjoyed their meal. Great service definitely recommended.

Came in with some of my friends after our exams. It was quite busy but got served quickly and our food also came out in good time. The food was lovely and the seating area outside was pleasant to sit in. The upgrade on the women’s bathroom was a lovely touch and made the place seem much more homely.

I booked a table for fathers day just gone and I'm really pleased I did. The meals were absolutely fantastic. They came out all beautifully presented , piping hot which is how I like my food to be . There was plentiful a portion too on each plate. My daughter ordered the Mac and cheese and she said it was the best she had tasted . Myself and my partner had the cheese and potato pies they were amazing . My little girl had the cheese pasta again another nice dish. With drinks it came to just Shy of £45 for all four of us. That's a great price. The atmosphere was very welcoming with the locals speaking to us as soon as we walked in. I liked how we could actually conversate instead of having to shout to hear one another over the noise. It was a nice relaxing time. Thankyou for having us. X

Me and my partner came in for food last night, it was lovely! I believe the chefs name was Cheskie, couldn’t fault it we will definitely be returning.

Plenty of parking. On entering the establishment 1st impression was it needed some attention, chairs were torn and just looked unkempt. We waited over 3/4 of an hour from paying to being served. On arrival the food was hot and well presented. We only saw 2 staff, the barmaid/waitress and the chef. Will continue to visti Marstons pubs in the future but not this one

Food was amazing! We’ve eaten here multiple times! Fish and chips is amazing, and the chocolate cake is delicious! Only down side is the vouchers. We had an issue with our kids meal voucher that we received for a 1pound kids meal, it wouldn’t work even though we followed all the terms and conditions and when we asked for help figure out why the lady behind the counter just told me she didn’t know anything about it

Great pub - landlady Emily is very accommodating and friendly and there is a great atmosphere. Food is nice and the facilities are nice and clean.

I had to come back! My first experience was a delight though has been sometime this was my review. "Had the best burger 🍔 it was cooked to perfection and very tasty...you could taste everything within the burger giving the taste buds something to get in to...compliments to the chef excellent food." My second visit today walking towards not much had changed! After probably 2 years? I thought about my first visit and checking the menu the spicy burger took my eye! After ordering it was a bit of a waite...around 40mins. Not that busy yet it was very much a queue status, as l was advised by the staff. Though l was in good company so the waite didn't seem that long. Food arrived and to be honest looked very nice. As we stated, the taste was not disappointing... as l do like a tasty burger, the burgers were tender and a plesent taste to the palette, accompanied with a light salad, dressing, and a side of fence fries. Most people would say a burger is a burger, yet though l would agree, its has to be a good burger to enhance the palette and the taste buds, to go that extra mile. All l can say is that the Flintlock did that today...my compliments to the chef and the bar staff for a pleasant and welcoming experience. Until my next visit! Keep up the good work 👏

Booked for a birthday meal, was able to easily make changes to our order, was given a lovely mixed salad, instead of what was available, plentiful food all cooked well and very tasty.

Didnt enjoy the christmas dinner at all or the christmas pudding wasnt worth the 47 pound

Having written a truthful review on our experience of our lunch meal the owner obviously cannot take a poor review, only glory. The steak was nice the chicken tikka was no stars the dessert didn't exist and because it was the busiest day of the year apparently explains the owners poor attitude. We all get stressed and that's the reason we didn't complain. Never going there again a total waste of £40.00 especially in these hard times.

Went for lunch having booked a table. Waited quite a while for food. 3 stars for the steak as this was nice but cannot recommend the chicken tikka. Whilst the sauce was very tasty there wasn't much chicken and the bits of chicken in the dish were fatty. Waited far too long for pudding and when chased were advised they hadn't any more left. Disappointed as this pub was recommended to us for a lovely meal.

26 of us went for our works Xmas party lunch. It was great and only £17.99 for 3 courses. Will definitely be back again

Christmas meal pre-booked and unable to serve the festive menu we had pre-ordered. Not clear from booking email (which was made with less than 14 days in advance) that food needed to be pre-ordered for 6 of us and to leave a voicemail on a work phone number on a Sunday lunchtime wasn't going to let us know what was needed. Sorry that you don't read emails about pre-booked food as advised by your surly employee and that you didn't have time to defrost our food.

Pre-ordered the festive menu for our office Christmas meal to be told that they don't check the emails or online pre-orders and we would have to order from the main menu. Ridiculous situation and we really wish we had gone somewhere else. Not even good service to make up for it.

Local stop off for a pint when out walking the dog. Decent selection of drinks, not tried the food yet. Overall, decent local.

Very friendly and clean I popped in during a dog walk just me and 1 dog and I was made to feel very welcome the bar staff were nice the only downside was they were emptying the fruit machines at the time and it's quite noisy but that was just unfortunate timing on my behalf as I know that it needs to be done at some point.

We celebrated my parent's 59th wedding anniversary. We had booked a table which was ready for us on arrival. There was a bit of a wait for food but not too long. We all enjoyed our food and would go again.

When we turned up, clean and well presented table. Lovely staff welcomed us and showed us to the table. Food ordering was easy and all arrived together. Food was lovely and well cooked. Bonus of karaoke in the bar after we finished too.

Our visit to the flintlock was lovely! We were there to watch a rugby match and I had called in advance to book a table. The lady I spoke to on the phone was very friendly and helpful. When we walked in and spoke to the lady behind the bar, she knew exactly who I was and showed us where we would be seated and checked if we were happy with the seating. Our table was placed right between the 2 TVs so we always had a good view of the game. The atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is due to the food. We ordered the 80oz rump with a beef dripping and Merlot. The plates the food were served on were quite hot, unfortunately the food itself was about room temperature and the Beef Dripping and Merlot sauce was not very flavourful. Despite these factors, the rest of the food was still tasty.

I think I must have visited a different pub to other reviewers. I think this is the worst meal out I've ever had. Despite not being ultra busy we waited 1 hour for 2 hunters chicken. The chicken was so dry it was hard to swallow and had absolutely no sauce. My plate contained 11 chips there was no grilled tomato as per the menu and the rocket had been substituted with some chopped, brown edged iceberg lettuce! Absolutely appalling. I wish I had thought to take photos - I'm the wrong generation unfortunately.

The pub wasn't particularly busy but even so we waited an hour for 2 hunters chicken. We chased after 45 minutes during which time no member of staff came anywhere near and we also cleared our own table of dirty glasses left by previous occupant. When the food finally arrived it was, to say the least disappointing. My "portion" of chips consisted of exactly 11 chips (yes I counted) the chicken was so dry I think it had been cooking for the whole of the hour we waited and the barbecue sauce was non existent. The menu stated it was served with grilled tomato and rocket - the tomato was absent entirely and the rocket had been replaced with chopped, brown edged iceberg lettuce.

We visited on a sunny weekend afternoon to enjoy the garden as we had heard about the great kids play area and large garden. The pub was very clean, everyone that served us during our visit was great, the drinks were very reasonably priced, the kids loved the corn on the cob and our steaks were perfectly cooked. We will be back with the family again soon.

Beer was cheap and they do reasonable pub grub at good prices. Pipes needed cleaning as a new cask tasted a bit too tangy. Pedigree and Hobgoblin on tap.

We eat in lots of pubs in Hinckley but have found the Flintlock to do not only a TASTY but well cooked Steak (surf and turf) all the meals were great, thank you to the kitchen staff (Cheskie) also the bar staff who friendly and very helpful - Rachel, Stu, Nic. Well done and thank you all.

Fab place to unwind. Great staff. Emily served us, and was a pleasure to deal with. She was friendly and chatty. Always had fantastic service and recommend the Flintlick highly.

I visited Sunday night for a family meal, and found Emily and Freya to be very accomodating. Good variety of beers and my Pedigree went down well with a veggie burger perfectly!

This is my local pub and for the last 6 month every time I visit for food they have not got half of the stuff on the menu Not once in the last 4 month have they the been able to do a mixed grill I accept there have been supplier issues but how much does it take to either order more or manage suppliers The other two local pubs seem to manage to have everything on their menus, so that’s now where I shall be going first from now on

Lovely lunch today. Great offer. Kids eat for £1 during half term. Really lovely meal and the kids enjoyed the play area in the garden as well. Chefs very friendly and accommodating.

Great little pub, lovely food, good sized portions and very reasonably priced. Big outdoor play area and also big garden area for the kids to play which is always a bonus! It was a great time as it was my partner’s birthday the food was delicious and we were told that there would be a bit of a wait with there only being one chef on but we didn’t even notice how long we were waiting. Would definitely go back.

We arrived for our booking at 1.30pm at 1.20pm. A nice welcome and told where we were seated. Ordered drinks and got straight to the menu as we were all hungry! Was a joint b day celebration for my son and son in laws birthday and also Mother's Day. 3 different menus to choose from, a mother's day, lunch menu, and all-day menu. We all ordered food and carried on enjoying chatting! Finally at 2.30 pm a waitress said "we not forgot about you we starting cooking yours now". Food finally started coming out at 3.10pm, the 1st order out was son in laws burger meal! He bit into his burger and said it was cold!!!! So on bringing mine out I addressed this with the waitress she apologised and took it! She was gone 2 minutes b4 returning with it, steaming!! So now the burger was soggy and the salad inside was hot!!!! With cold spots in the burger!! So my son in law couldn't eat that! I ordered a roast with a vegetarian Wellington! The roast veg were stone cold! The Wellington came out as a tart and I couldn't even cut into it! The mash was really dry and luke warm!!! And the list goes on and on!!! So long story short we all left disappointed and hungry!!! I feel they took on more covers than they could cope with! And inturn ruined our afternoon out as a family! I'm sure in time we will laugh about it all! But I will not return and would not recommend!! It could have been a bad day for the chef, and I'm sure if u like instant mash and microwave meals then it may be ok with less people ordering.
