Absolutely delicious meal! We had different food but then two of us had the flake cheesecake yummy and so light. Enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was brilliant. A special call out to Frankie who was so good looking after us from taking our order to getting everything we needed. Thanks we will visit again soon. X

Always a warm welcome for dogs and people. Today the chefs special was something else!! Crispy pork belly served on crushed herb potatoes with roasted carrots and parsnips, sage sausage stuffing with cider sauce!! Absolutely delicious, the proper butchers pork was beautiful and tender. Stan enjoyed his Lincolnshire sausages. Thanks all

Went for breakfast, no sausages!! No English breakfast choice offered black pudding either!! Good quality produce and cooked well. Service not as good as usual. All in all we were disappointed.

Love this friendly spot. Tracey Nikki and jodie and all the girls are fabulous been a few times in recent weeks the Sunday lunches are incredible, service full of personality and attentive the bar has a great variety, price point you can't argue with at all. Keep doing what you do will be back x

Four of us popped in last night & had the Friday fish n chips special haddock, chips & peas for £8.95. The fish was superb & nice chips & cooked to perfection. The staff were friendly & attentive. Apart from the Friday night special, the food is always nice here & the blackboard specials a bit different.

First visit to Cleethorpes and The fisherman’s Arms pub. We had read the reviews for fish & chips on a Friday. It did not disappoint. Delicious. We will be back. Staff accommodating with my disability. Toilets not easy to use with my disability but it’s a very old building. So understand….Not a lot they can do.

Haven't been for a while, good to see that nothing has changed food and hospitality still excellent.Had the sausages and mash and the veggies were cooked to perfection, creamy mash and excellent gravy.

1st time visit here Thursday 26th and will be the last, £6 per pint of John Smith's bitter gor one of the cheapest beer's on the market, the bar area was cluttered the toilets are terrible. No wonder the pub was empty, the menu prices look to be expensive but didn't try the food, I forgot my credit card, if the pub was on the promenade it's understandable but it's a back street pub charging high end prices, Won't be going back again, majority of pubs in Cleethorpes are well priced but this isn't one of them

Never been in before, definitely not disappointed !! Friendly staff, welcoming, the Sunday lunch was amazing, best we’ve ever had anywhere! Everything was cooked to perfection, very tasty, and really good portions, extra gravy at no extra cost, highly recommend everyone to try it, will definitely visit again, recommend to book as it gets busy

I have been here several times and the Fish and Chips did not disappoint, I good portion and the batter very crispy and the chunky chips amazing

Came to cleethorpes for a few days and popped into here for a late lunch. Food was amazing. Friendly staff. Can’t fault the food. Was not cheap but for the quality of the food it was well worth it.

A very communal pub with locals laughing and joking yet accepts people visiting Drinks were pops and Docks Brewery's Hazy Session Pale Ale (local Brewery, which they had several from there, and this was a lovely pint) Food was 1kg chicken wings, chips, jacket potato with chilli and 2 x big eats on the kids menu which came with meal and a desert. Fantastic food, which was within 15 mins from ordering, and was thoroughly enjoyed The staff were fantastic as well and plenty on to cater to your needs

Top end pricing. £23.95 for some main courses. They are lovely, but its a pub with all the noise and all the people ! Sit towards the back of premises. Drinks also very expensive- £7 a pint in Cleethorpes! Alot of noise. Service is polite but it's pub service, not restaurant! Not worth the money.

The pan fried salmon with broad beans was exquisite perfectly crispy skin, would recommend to any fish lover. Tracy and Gracie were great good knowledge of the menu and quick service, definatley returning.

Amazing pub! Visited on a busy Easter Sunday, group of 8 with a dog, and could not fault the service, quality of the food and drink or the value. Real nice place with a great atmosphere, friendly staff and a just generally gave off a good vibe! Highly recommend visit if you’re in the area.

Nice food and drink but the service was quite poor, staff were incredibly rude on both occasions and stood behind the bar slating us and glaring at us… didn’t feel comfortable staying in there for more than one drink, seemed to be snapping at and speaking rudely to several other customers attending at the time.

It was a busy lunch time, I sat at a table that needed cleaning as the previous customers had just left. The cleaning didn’t happen. The previous plates and drinks were removed. I Ordered a North Atlantic Prawn baguette at the bar as waiter service is not applicable to the high tables. The baguette arrived warm with stone cold prawns in a very watery sauce, probable defrosted under a cold tap. The skinny fries were cold and soggy baguette was not enjoyable.

Visited today and had two of their £8.95 Friday special haddock, chips and mushy peas. Haddock was advertised as 10oz but looked bigger than that. Really good portion size. Fish was fresh. Homemade chips and plenty of mushy peas as well. Ordered a side of bread and butter and a curry sauce and it was still under £20. Great value. Would definitely go again.

We hadn't been here for a while and decided to try it out again. Opted for a Venison Burger with cranberry mayo and a salad. The mayo and salad never came and we had to ask for them to be brought to the table. It was very difficult to catch the eye of a server as they were busy so took some time to raise this and for it to arrive. I opted for a Xmas stir fried rice dish (rice, bacon, turkey, stuffing, cranberries etc) including Soy coated sprouts. The meal arrived and it was ALL covered in soy sauce and had quite a lot of chilli included which was not mentioned on the menu board. The overall flavour of the dish was burning soy sauce, no flavour of Xmas at all. The server seemed non plus when I discussed this with her and had to check the menu to see if I was correct. It seemed the chef was making it up as he went along that night. It will be some time before we revisit as these meals were quite expensive. Not an enjoyable evening.

Went for lunch and had the x-mas dinner. It was excellent. Not too much on the plate but enough for a big appetite. The food was cooked to perfection. We normally have the fish again it is cooked to perfection. The batter is crisp and the fish is juicy. Both meals are scrumptious. Highly recommend this place but please book in advance as it is not big. We are ready to go again and again.

Went there on a Sunday evening was served with drinks a couple came to the bar and a server asked if they wanted food took them to the only vacant table, I wasn't acknowledged any of the time I was there and all tables were occupied. I won't ever go there again, oh and the Sunday roast dinner a couple had didn't look very appetising.

If your looking for good food at a reasonable price that comes with great service then this is the place. The breakfast is excellent with a varied menu. Full English comes in three sizes and is served with thick slices of Granary toast. However, the Fishermans is not all about the great breakfast menu. They serve great quality meals throughout the day. There is a specials board that changes every two weeks and has some very good alternatives to the normal menu. we have had a few selections from the board over the past few weeks and have never been disappointed. Its difficult to pick out a particular dish as they are all good so go online and look at their menu. Fish and Chips Friday is well worth booking in for. Good size Haddock with thick chips and mushy peas for two currently at £16. Best Fish and Chips and price in the area and that is saying something as Cleethorpes and Grimsby are renown for god fish and chips. Finally the staff deserve a very well earned mention. Friendly, polite and efficient. Nothing is ever too much trouble, even when faced with a regular bunch of grumpy old boys who all agree the food and service is great, and they are not easily pleased, believe me. I know because I'm one of them.

This place did me above a £5'er for a pint ideas way above its station just up the road is a bespoke beer pub and way less for spectacular drinks.avoid this toilet

The food was good, but the food service was a bit slow - maybe because quite a few folk arrived at the same time? Price paid was reasonable for fresh tasty pub made food.

Called in on a busy Saturday on the off chance there was a walk-in table available on the recommendation of some fellow Thorpe Park-ers. It was really busy but the manager managed to get us a table if we were happy to wait 30 mins, which was absolutely fab. We both had the steak which was cooked as requested and the chips were divine. I liked the look if the burgers and sandwiches on the menu but the only gripe we had was that it was all on seeded bread which neither of us like. The cod goujons for example would be amazing on white sourdough loaf, but seeded multigrain bread just isn't for me. I will be returning though, can't wait to dig into more of those chips!

The 'fish' had been awarded the best breakfast in our locality. As a family we go out to breakfast every 2 or 3 weeks. So as this pub had gained such an accolade I decided to book a table for us. I was greeted with a very abrupt ' what do you want to drink'. No good morning. No can I get you a drink sir? I was very shocked. We ordered our breakfast, and again there was no customer care attributes in the service. We waited at least half an hour before my son went to the bar to ask where our Breakfast was. Again there was no customer care skills in the girls answer. I realise freshly cooked food takes longer to be served. However it's not an evening meal with a huge choice. And every establishment I've worked in the sausage and bacon are all part cooked before service. We had booked. It wasn't as if it was a surprise that we where coming. When the breakfast eventually arrived. Again it was with a miserable face and an edge to the attitude. Breakfast was very good. But I won't be going back to the service and the length of wait

First time here for food after hearing some great things about this place and we were not disappointed. Plenty of choice on the menu. Good choice of beer and lager. Located next to a public car park we visited after a walk along the prom. What a pleasant surprise, a full pub on a Monday lunchtime with just enough room for us. Tables are nicely spaced, Sky tv on if that takes your fancy. Highlight was the food, extensive menu, all food cooked to order, 8oz beer & burger £11, choose your own single or sharing platters. The ribs were perfect the best I have eaten in a long long while. Toilets clean and tidy. Staff polite, helpful, not at all pushy considering they were turning people away. Not a real ale pub but an extensive range of draughtier beers and lagers.

Having left a bad review after my last experience here where there was a mixup with my booking I thought it was only fair to leave a good one this time. Decided to give it a chance after hearing only good things and very glad we did. I went for the chicken and ribs which was top notch…the ribs were fantastic, Mrs had a sirloin steak and really enjoyed it. The service was excellent and very good value for money.

The board by the bar says all their produce is locally sourced. That may well be true, but they must buy locally frozen chips as when we went to order, they'd run out of mash but could still do chips - if they were making their own chips they could have made more mash. We went in for a Sunday roast, but couldn't have that as they'd run out of mash. I had the chicken gyros instead, which was ok, though lacking the advertised garlic mayo, and the flatbread was really heavy. My husband's lamb bourguignon only had one piece of carrot in. And we couldn't have a pudding as we didn't order it before 7.00 when the kitchen closed. Pleasant staff - it wasn't their fault about the potatoes - but not what we were hoping for.

A mid afternoon meal with my wife. The food was excellent and there was plenty of. Service was very good from the waitresses, prompt and friendly. BUT...The 'Manageress' needs to step back and take a long look at herself. I appreciate that some people have reasons not to wear a mask but, coughing into hands, and not in some instances, should be followed up with hand washing. Handling menus, cutlery, delivering drinks and communicating. It was also noticeable how 'rude' and abrupt the attitude was to the young waitresses. In conclusion, the food was excellent, the young waitresses were helpful and friendly. Spoilt by abrupt and thoughtless management.....did I feel COVID Safe? NO.

Came in the Fish for a breakfast. Specifically because it does black pudding with it. Only to be told it had been taken off the menu. Yet it was still listed on the menu as part of 'The Fishermans Breakfast'. When I asked what we'd be given in substitute, the waitress at first said that a substitute could not be given. Then she said beans. Haha. What? So your not going to give us something listed on the menu or even replace it even with a bit if bacon? Besides. WHY would you even take black pudding off the breakfast anyway. Complete joke. Just seen 2 more groups of people asking for black pudding. Won't be coming here again!

Had breakfast catch up today .. safe to be in there .. staff fabulous .. the breakfast best we have had in a long time after trying other places .. good selection to choose from .. and the fisherman’s breakfast was more than enough , good old Boston sausages as well definitely be back to try other food .. well done in these try times .. x

Decided to pop out to try the Fisherman's and the 50% scheme.Greated on entry by friendly staff and seated safely within seconds.Within a few minutes our drinks order was taken (at the table - Although you could order at the bar... with only 1 person allowed there at a time.)Drinks we're perfect.. fairly priced and served in the correct style of glasses for the drinks.Food order was taken from quite a varied menu. All freshly made. None of the frozen rubbish of chain pubs!We chose off the light bite menu (which turned out to be pretty huge!!!).Haddock goujons and doubled cooked chips with mushy peas/flat iron steak wrap with salad and homemade beetroot slaw. Extra chips and onion rings on the side. (The onion rings were real! In beautiful batter!)The service was attentive. A little wait do for the meals.. but cooked to order and a busy bar.. something we expected.The food was amazing quality. Very fresh and generous. The chefs are chefs.. not cooks. No sign of chef Mic! Lol.We were asked during the meal if everything was ok.. and if more drinks were required. A sign of attentive service.When we paid the bill was under £20. Not bad for 4 drink and 2 meals. We were thanked by 3 different members of staff.. and left feeling happy and full.Covid measures were in place.. and customers were reminded about this. We felt safe. We booked a meal for "eat out to help out" while were on holiday in Cleethorpes and we weren't disappointed. There was a wide choice on the menu and when the food arrived it was beautifully presented. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal and thought the staff were friendly and helpful.

Booked to go to the ‘Fish’ Thursday 20th August on the ‘Eat out to help out’ deal. Booked online on messenger for a party of 4 for 6:00 only when we turned up no one had any clue of our booking. We showed them the booking confirmation in which it said ‘our booking was confirmed and on a high table’ but despite this no one could help or had any constructive suggestions. Very disappointing. We took our business elsewhere!

The delicious food was ruined by the service. We must have been in there for three hours just for one course. We wanted dessert, but the wait was horrendous. Staff on phones and not attentive.

Went out for a quick bite to eat on a Friday afternoon while we had a very rare child free day. We ended up staying most of the day and having a really good time, we skipped a stroll on the beach to stay here. The waiting on staff were having a right laugh with us. We both had steak cooked perfectly, the food was faultless. We will be back

Visited the fisherman’s with the family and we were pleasantly surprised. There track & trace system social distancing and safety measures are brilliant. Hand sanitizer units all over. Great food, great beer and great service. We are sooo pleased we stumbled across this hidden gem tucked away down a back street in Cleethorpes. It was clean, safe and the atmosphere was great and people were actually talking to each other - no mobile phones which was great to see.I personally had a mixture of “bits” to enjoy and a pint of fine ale.Thank you Fisherman’s Arms for being fabulous.We’ll be back

Booked a table for 6 with my family for 7pm in person the day before our visit. Turned up the next day to be told there was no booking for us and then given the third degree and practically made out to be a liar about booking it! If you check your bookings you will find my name booked for 6 people on a different day as I watched the girl write it down...it was obviously done on the wrong page in your diary! Left to wonder around cleethorpes with my family at 7pm trying to find somewhere to eat, absolutely shocking service!

I am leaving this as my first ever review on trip advisor as I wanted to let someone know how great the young male and female staff were today . They were juggling a full pub on a busy lunch and still found time to be lovely and pleasant to my mum and I . Food was great piping hot generous portions good value . Would definitely go again

After months of being locked away, we did keep an eye to what our favourite places were doing. Alot did nothing but the Fish has been transformed into such a lovely clean and tidy venue. Plenty of hand sanitiser points, clean toilets, great food and the best beer. They took our details on arrival and i could hear others giving there track and trace details throughout the time we were there. We felt extremely safe and will be reccomending to all our friends.

Absolutely no track and trace happening, which is very concerning to say the least! We thought they might of brought us a form to fill out during the meal but there was absolutely nothing. Drinks order taken fairly swiftly and then food order not long after, so the food arrived and it all went down hill from here so they asked if wanted another drink so i ordered one which never arrived. So my friend received a hair in her pizza, (they did offer a new one but she decided as she didn’t want to wait ages)my meat was raw in my beef lasagna which put me off straight away and did not want to eat any more. Whilst my friend was still eating her meal they came and placed the bill on the table which we found very rude as we wasn’t even offered any puddings, not that we would ofhad any at this point so we swiftly paid and left the establishment.

What a great little pub great food and plenty of options lovely and clean freindly staff would recommend to any one will be going back as my son says his pizza was amazing and great value the pie and mash was also amazing we will be back soon thanks for letting our two labradors in as not many pubs accept dogs great job fisherman's

Visited last week to experience the NEW menu. Spoilt for choice, very busy for a Tuesday evening aswell. The place was thriving with a great atmosphere. Food fantastic, Chicken and Rib combo was to die for!! Reasonalbly priced drinks, good food, great atmosphere, family friendly, very clean - what more could you ask for.

We were enjoying a drink with friends on TWO occasions now, and have been told we must move as the table has been booked. Surely if people need to book a table, then there should be one available in the restaurant or eating area? You just don't walk in a pub, sit down at a table in the bar area, only to be told to move! Drinks are very expensive and not really worth visiting.

We were lucky enough to get a table for eight at late notice last Sunday at 1.30pm. First of all the staff were lovely & looked after us very well. We had a little wait but when the food came it was worth it as it was all freshly cooked & delicious. We tried the Haddock & chips, Thai Green chicken & Prawn Curry, sirloin steak, chicken goujons. We had sticky toffee pudding & chocolate brownies to follow - they all looked great & tasted really nice well. . Six adults & two children left feeling very full & happy.We will definitely eat there again.

Visited with friends for a bite to eat, great variation on menu but opted for the Christmas festive wrap. WOW!! It was sensational. Great value for money - love to see that’s local giants docks beers are on the bar also!! Hats off to the venue owner knows what he’s doing
