The point cafe breakfast is the best around we got the 2 large breakfasts for £11.99 gone a few times never disappoints.

I booked dinner her for myself and my partner. From walking in to leaving we had a wonderful time. Staff very friendly and attentive. We had steaks which were lovely. Couple of cocktails too. The prices are really good value. Definitely a place to visit again. Thankyou.

The best breakfasts in town. From the full English to the omelettes and everything in between. Really great location and you can tell the team working there get to know their regulars - we are two of them. Good quality ingredients. Always piping hot and a great cup of tea. Now we are local again we will try much more. Bit well done to everyone at the point - always love coming I.

Saturday night out of season - relatively quiet. Bland ambiance but clean tables, floor & w.c.s Friendly service. Comprehensive menu ( English favourites, pizzas, Mexican, including wines (although tasting notes a bit bizarre!). Food presented nicely and promptly - the kitchen doesn't hang about! Wife had Fish & Chips - good balance between chunky haddock and batter (not a tiny fish and lots of batter), excellent home made chips. I had steak pie - pastry a bit short - lots of good quality beef - no fat or gristle, nice thick gravy served in a boat. All served HOT (not lukewarm like so many restaurants!). There was a side salad - fresh & crisp. I don't give 5 stars very often, and I wouldn't use drooling superlatives to describe The Point, but it was certainly well above average, focused on customer satisfaction and very good value for money.

We stopped here on our way home from a week in Thorpe park. We are very glad we did, the Sunday roast (lamb) was delicious. The all day breakfast was thoroughly enjoyed by the kids as well. Compliments to the chef and to the very friendly staff. Great experience, only disappointed for us is we will most likely never be back in Cleethorpes again! The drive from n.ireland is too long Highly recommend if your looking fresh honest food at honest prices

The milkshakes where so liquid, that it didn’t even taste like a milkshake. More like dish water! Will never be coming hear again as I feel like they make their food in the microwave

Called by for a Sunday lunch and glad we did . The food was plentiful, fresh and very tasty and plenty of it and very god value for the money. The staff were very pleasant and they can expect to see us again .

Visited here for the first time last Friday evening with my partner. We had a chicken carbonara and ribeye steak, and must say we were both very impressed. Both meals were excellent, really well cooked and plenty there. We also enjoyed the Pinot Grigio a lot too. We will definitely be returning

We booked the Point for my daughters baby shower. We was given the function room upstairs where we could have the room early for decorations etc. We decided to book the Point to do the catering and was so pleased we did. Everyone commented how great the food was it was a combination of both hot and cold food and there was so much of it and for a reasonable price. The staff and Liam the owner was so helpful and we couldn't have chosen a better venue. The day was enjoyed by all. I would highly recommend this venue for any occasion Thank you very much

Had an amazing night out with friends. The place was very quiet and we could not understand why. Maybe it's the curb appeal.once inside its different place nice decor. Anyway the staff could not be more helpful especially Liam who waited on us hand and foot. Now to the important bit the food. We all had starters which we all agreed was lovely. Mains was exceptional the burgers are massive pressed beef patties how they should be thick and meaty. Home made chips to die for. Mixed grill was very tasty sides all lovely. Desert was yummy too. Like I said all 4 of us were very impressed. Keep up the good work. We will definitely be back.

Was pleasantly surprised with the function room up stairs. It was clean and tidy, the staff was very friendly and polite. The dj was so funny and played a good mix of songs for all ages. The spread that was layed on was of a great choice, both hot and cold food. We went back the next morning to collect my birthday cake which they allowed me to leave there over night and stopped for breakfast which was great and a great price as well, can not thank the staff enough, good time by all

We visited The Point for a lunch date with the girls as one of our party brings her grandson & the comfy sofa area is perfect with a little one in tow!!!!Really extensive menu & prices are really reasonable. Great for a massive cooked brekky & the steak pie on a lunch menu is delicious. Really friendly staff & nothing is too much trouble. Give this place a try I’m sure you won’t be disappointed

After hearing bad reviews from local friends I wasnt keen to visit this drab cafe but having only an hour for parking and being very hungry I decided to stop here for a quick breakfast. What a terrible mistake! There was one woman serving who didnt even a knowledge us and it was a good ten minutes before she came to take our order. I was sat having a look around and already regretting my decision to stay here, it was very dated, smells musty and in need of a thorough clean. The tables are squashed together, no chance of having a conversation without the rest of the cafe hearing every word! After ordering a breakfast it had still not arrived after 40 minutes so I asked the waitress how long it would be. I was answered with a "soz about your wait, it aint my fault" The breakfast arrived 55 minutes after I had stepped foot in the place which meant I had to go back to my car so had no time to eat it and im sure glad I never. It looked burnt and basically thrown on the plate. I wish I hadf listened to the locals and avoided this cafe.

Came here today as part of a large group celebrating my friends 40th, we never booked in advance yet the staff accommodated us swiftly, putting a couple of tables together for all 9 of us to sit on one table. We were served not too long afterwards and food was on the table within 15 minutes. Most people went for the two large breakfasts for £10.99 deal and they looked lovely but I went for eggs royal, beautiful poached eggs and the muffin was toasted just right. Very impressed all round being my first visit. Well done

Popped in on my way to work for a breakfast after seeing and hearing great things and it definitely is worth all the positivity. Large breakfast and a tea for £7.80, and my god it was large!! Not greasy at all, all really hot and opted for poached eggs instead of the fried which was not an issue at all. Excellent all round and will be a regular thing now that’s for sure

Visited after looking at online menu however when arrived website not updated and menu not the same. Meal substandard, cheap products used, chicken tasted as if microwaved, cheese swimming in grease when cooked and chips not good, pizza had a slice of tomato plongged on the top!

Visited here for breakfast with my husband for the first time on Saturday 29th September .We were very impressed the service was good , very polite smiling staff and an excellent breakfast , although i will just say a message to the chef do not use the end of the bread to fry or toast as the end my husband got was very thin.But apart from that it was lovely and will be going back .

Visited on Sunday for a roast with the wife, delighted to see lamb on the menu which we both chose. 2 slices, lovely and tender, portions are very generous and all piping hot which isn’t always the case. red cabbage was a treat but best part was the homemade yorkie puds, god knows what they do to them but they were the size of my hands, so fluffy inside as well, perfect roast

Use to love old restaurant in Cleethorpes. Came in all the time, our favourite waitress was Chloe. Always greeted us with the warmest smile. She was attentive and organised, never any problems on her watch. Think she was assistant manager. And it's a shame she isn't at this one. Waitress barely greeted us, didn't speak politely at all, very common and un welcoming! Staff clearly gossiping right near to our table about how much they didn't like the owners. We're not interested in hearing about that? Tables generally not clean either. Floors needed a sweep, not what we expected. Staff at the old point would always be cleaning if quiet not stood around looking miserable like this one! Will never be returning, such a shame as we LOVED meridian point one. Same food but POOR service let it down. You ought to bring back Chloe, get her to show you how proper customer service is done...

Came in last night for the steak deal with a bottle of wine for 2 ... steak was cooked to perfection. Can't compete anywere for the price defiently recommend.

Cannot fault the amazing steak deal i had on saturday night, the steak was high quality and cooked just as we asked. Its an absolute bargain for the price, 2 steaks with the best homemade chips as well as a bottle of house wine!!

Absolutely atrocious, we ordered steaks for the 4 of us, they arrived swimming in grease. The medium rare steaks were overdone, the medium was scorched and the chips soggy with grease. Horrible is the only way to describe the meal. I think even the waitress felt sorry for us. Sent them back and paid for our drinks and left. Needless to say we won’t be returning. If I could’ve given them zero stars I would have.

Visited here last Friday with 5 friends after seeing they did Mexican food which is a favourite of ours, and decided on Friday as they have a Mexican special on that evening-2 meals and 2 drinks for £18. 3 of us had enchiladas, 2 had fajitas and 1 had a burrito. All portions were massive, lots of filling in my enchilada and a lovely spice to it. The service was quick and extremely friendly from the young man working that evening. 6 meals and 12 drinks and the bill was under £70, very impressed

Huge thanks to everyone at the Point for making my birthday celebrations such a success. The buffet was fabulous with all catered for, vegan, vegetarian and carnivore. Would highly recommended

we were on our way to a fish shop when we passed this cafe so we decided to give this a go instead. parking was across the road at just £1 per hour so not too bad. we decided to have the breakfasts as you saved a little if you had two, as it was teatimeish we also ordered a side salad , a bowl of chips and some extra toast. the meals didn't take too long to arrive. everything came together and all I can say is that it was delicious, well worth the money and the quality. we actually left a little as there was lots of food but like I always say, better to leave some than still be hungry. I do have a very busy lifestyle as i'm in this business myself but I will try and get back as soon as I can with my family too.

Came tonight to try the Tuesday special after seeing it on their board whilst here last time, 2 12 inch pizzas of choice and two drinks for just under £14 seems great value and it really was, the pizzas are freshly made to order, plenty of toppings on both, fajita chicken for wife and meat feast for me and a house wine and pint allowed on the deal too! Grabbed a side of homemade chips to share as well and they were definitely the best chips I’ve had eating out! Will be working my way through the other deals that’s for sure!

Went out for date night on Saturday, greeted at the door by a very polite waiter who told us that there wasn’t a table available which was clear to see however offered us a seat in the lounge area and served us drinks whilst we waited. Although he said the wait was up to 30 minutes we were taken to our table after 15 once another table left. Candles on all the tables was a nice touch adding a romantic feel to the place. More drinks were swiftly ordered with the waiter and order taken when they arrived. Opted for a mix platter for one as a starter, good selection & very ample for two people. For mains we had steak & rib combo and pan fried salmon. Steak was cooked to perfection, really juicy and plenty of meat on the ribs. Salmon was as big a piece as my wife has had before when eating out, only downside for her was there was too much for her to finish. Excellent night throughout, brilliant service and top notch food. Will be back for sure.

Went in for light bite and couple of drinks with friends. Sat in the lounge area very comfortable relaxed feel to it, table service with drinks, great drinks offers, and good variety of light bites. Tried here for the first time today after hearing positive things about the breakfasts and must say I was not disappointed! Every bit of it was piping hot, the Lincolnshire sausages were excellent, eggs perfect and not a spot of grease on the plate afterwards. Cooked really well. Two of the large breakfast plus two teas only £10.99, best breakfast and best value I’ve found in Cleethorpes. Will be back for sure

been here during the day before but after seeing the evening menu and nightly specials board thought I would give it a try last night, my and the wife went for the Saturday night special which was two steaks & bottle of wine, steaks were cooked beautifully, the homemade chips were awesome. Service from the waiter was spot on, and although it was busy drinks and food were swift & cost was only £22.99, great value.

Absolutely awful. The table and cutlery were all dirty, when I asked for clean cutlery the waitress argued it was clean when it clearly wasn't. The food was inedible, it was completely over cooked, never again!

The whole place needs a good clean its filthy , asked for chips with my burger and was given burnt potato wedges instead, the burger wasnt very clever either, waited almost 40 mins to get served , i wished i had gone to mcdonalds instead

I can only say it as we find it. I am extremely proud that my almost home town has this restaurant. After being ousted from their original location by Starbucks this new location continues in the tradition and legacy of providing superb food by a friendly superb team. The food is locally sourced and cooked fresh and arrives at the table to provide simply delicious food. The English breakfast really is special as are the other offers on the menu. And what’s really special is it’s got a real local feel. Try this place. You won’t be disappointed. I see some reviews that are not positive and I implore you to give it another try. Everywhere can have an off day but in our experience it’s the best in the town. And the Christmas dinner ? Just like being at home.

just visited for breakfast with the family and all four of us agreed it was awful. the food was bland and tasteless as well as being poorly presented. when it arrived there was also something missing, when i asked where it was the waitress' reply was 'i never heard you say that'...how about reading the order back before you leave the table to make sure you've got everything! wont be returning.

Very disappointed after hearing good things about this place. Went in with friends and was waiting 30 minutes to get served for food even though there was only a few other customers in. When the food arrived it was inedible, chicken in the carbonara smelled off, steaks cremated, rock hard uncooked chips and everything else was just very bland. I wish I could say it was just down to a bad night for the chefs, but even the service was pretty poor. Staff looked very uninterested and moody, should have known from the start it was going to be a bad experience. I think since the The Point at Meridian closed they obviously don't care about this business anymore because the standards are shocking. Won't be returning and will be advising others not to.

The room upstairs is an ideal place for anyone wanting to do a small party (30-40) guest. It was spotlessly clean with friendly staff. Great location, especially for those who want to carry on partying in Cleethorpes

My partner and I went for breakfast last sunday. Two full English breakfasts with coffee or tea £10.99. The breakfast consisted of 2 sausages,2eggs,2bacon,black pudding, tin tomatoes,beans,mushrooms and toast. This was the best breakfast we have had in a long time. Everything was piping hot. The staff were friendly and professional. The place is nice and clean. There's no parking as such but a car park is over the road. The restaurant is at the top of st Peter's ave on Isaac hill.
