We visited twice whilst on Holiday to watch the Play Off for League two, found the service to be excellent along with the food, the Chicken and Bacon Panini were really nice and very reasonably priced. We are back in August and will definitely visit again.

We visited this pub at 12.15 on Saturday. The place was approximately 1/4 full with about 6 tables. It opened at 12.00. We placed an order for 2 toasties and was told it would be about a half hour wait. I asked if there was anywhere else close by to eat and got told no. We had to wait one hour for 2 toasties and when they arrived they were cold. Also the ladies have 3 toilets, one was out of use. The second one had 4 empty rolls and no toilet paper, the third had 3 empty rolls and a small amount of toilet paper left. Obviously the toilets had not been cleaned prior to opening. We later found out that there was a cafe in the seal sanctuary next door, which cannot be any worse than this place.

Food was spot on for pub grub, chicken burger was bang on,real chicken not a processed burger and food was hot. Menu was also adapted for our veggie eaters freinds. Tables are nice a clean as both the rest of the bar and food areas.really nice place to eat from the hustle of town and the bus and land train stop outside. Well done to the owners for the fantastic turnaround. dog friendly inside and outside seating area

We came to the ferryboat 14th August as a group of 7. 5 adults and 2 kids (plus a baby). Food was unbelievable, flavourful and plenty to keep you full. Not a massive menu but the quality outweighs the options. Eddy the kitchen manager was great and really welcoming, food was at our table very promptly. Sticky toffee pudding was amazing. Nice little place and still part of the haven amenities, amusements to keep the kids entertained, large screens for sports events. We will definitely be returning before we venture off home.

Had a good hour playing frisbee and enjoying the sunshine before heading back to the pub for food and drinks! Nice little place, had an amusements and pool table to keep our teenager happy! Food was ok, good price - nice refreshing drinks! Had a few tables outside in the sun too!! TV’s were playing live football and also looks like they have entertainment on on a Saturday evening. We visit Mablethorpe regularly and recently ate here. It was excellent value for money and very warm and welcoming. We enjoyed it so much as asked Sally if we could hold a bit of a party for my daughter's 30 th. Sally and her staff were amazing and could not do enough for us. We took the cake across early and pre-ordered the food. When we arrived the tables were set out and all of the staff were wonderful each one wishing my daughter happy birthday including the kitchen staff. The food came out on time and was most enjoyable. It is a big thumbs up from me and our party of 16 we will definitely be returning.

Been for a nice walk on the beach, decided to call for a drink, £4.85 for a bottle of Rekorderling cider and £2.75 for a small glass of coke.....what a rip off. Was going to have something to eat but saw one of the so called chef’s outside talking to someone, looked like he could throw some frozen chips in a fryer!!!! The food looked very average, typical frozen food either fried or microwaved. Won’t be calling here again

We recently visited here whilst staying at Golden Sands. We were greeted by Sally who is so welcoming and friendly. We ate here both times we visited. The food is very nice and good value for money. We have a 3 year old boy who was provided with an activity book each time. I thought this was a nice thought to occupy little ones. I also found the pub extremely clean on each occasion we went. It was a great little find whilst we were on our holiday. It is in a great location too right next to the entrance of the beach. I would highly recommend the Ferryboat to anyone visiting the area.

The Ferryboat is an offshoot of Havens Golden Sands Park. Don't let this put you off as this venue is a great place for families and sports fans alike. We visited with 3 kids who all thought that the food was fantastic whilst mummy and I had a couple of beers watching the football. The kids amused themselves in the attached mini arcade and were kept happy. Yes the prices are expensive however its worth it for convenience and smiley kids. Big shout out to Sally and her team who are a credit to the company. If I was opening a new pub, I would poach them all ...

We visited here as we were staying at the Haven site. My family were disappointed that this pub is no longer dog friendly but they could be outside near the benches. We didn't eat here, it was too cold to take our coats off. The pub is open plan with an amusement but next door so the wind just blew through the whole building. The drinks were more expensive than on the price list menu, not sure why this was but they were nice drinks. The amusement part had a little stool so my toddler could stand on it for the 2p machine she enjoyed this as she had never been on one before. However the machine's were broken and the coins were not coming out. I reported this to the female member of staff who I watched explain what I had said to a male (I assumed this was his role as she went straight to him) this idiot then went on to laugh and say they were fine and it was coins going down the sides. To this idiot who laughed at a customer......the machine's were blocked at the bottom if you had looked for more than a second you would have seen this. Your job is to fix the machine's so stop flirting with the staff and get on with it, your rude behaviour has lost the Ferryboat customers.

I’ll just start by saying this place used to be absolutely fantastic and one of the main reasons we used to choose to come to golden sands caravan park, not so anymore, it’s been sold to Haven who have stripped all the staff out, closed the handy shop on the side and removed a lot of the fun arcade machines the kids used to enjoy. We went in for a spot of lunch before check in, it was 1pm and we were surprised how empty it was inside compared to ‘the good old days’ ordered 5 meals and drinks which I was told should take about 25 minutes, 50 minutes later I decided to ask the only member of staff there seemed to be and he went to check, he then came back and said he didn’t know how long it would be because they hadn’t even started our order yet because there were only two chefs in the kitchen. He offered me some free drinks or a refund, we took the refund (which he then only offered the money for the food, not the drinks, I got the full refund btw) I heard him offer the same thing to someone else as we were leaving so it seems to be the standard now a days.

Firstly I’m a little confused at the reviews which say “they don’t do pizza anymore” as one of the first things you notice as you walk in is a big poster saying that not only do they do pizza but it’s PAPA JOHNS (the best pizza available!) you just order it at the bar and it’s delivered from over the road as soon as it’s ready. Really nice! Also very partial to the toasties on offer.

Have been to this pub many, many times before. Now taken over by Haven. They have now banned dogs, which is very unfortunate as the pub is right beside the beach so used to attract a lot of dog owners. We thought we would give it a try so ordered our first meal. They managed to cock it up. There was only a few people in so was not busy. The chef brought our food out and just dumped it on the table, without asking who had ordered what dish. My husbands order was wrong so he went to the bar to explain. The waitress went to the kitchen but 15 mins on we were still waiting. She went back to the kitchen to chase. The meal was there but the chef had no inclination of bringing it out to us! The meal was nice but I think Haven think people will just accept this dismissive attitude as they are a well known name. They need to make more effort!

Last time we visited this place, before it went under new management, the food was superb. Revisiting it this year, we found the quality to be a quite inconsistant. We visited a total of 4 times this year. The first time, for an early dinner at around 4pm, the food quality was terrible, a total of 8 of us had ordered, with only 1 being satisfied. Some of the food being undercooked, and most of it overcooked. However, we'd initially chalked this up to the size of the order, and decided to give the place a second try.The second time, again for dinner, but this time around 5:30 - 6pm, we ordered 4 meals, and all 4 were of outstanding quality. We also ordered desert for 3 of us, but only 2 arrived, after asking some of the staff, we were informed that they'd not received the order in the kitchen, a full refund and apology was provided. The third visit was for lunch after visiting the seal sanctuary, at around 1pm, the food quality wasn't as bad as the first time, but still pretty poor, a fair amount of the food was overcooked. The fourth visit was for dinner, at around 7pm, and like the second visit the food quality was top notch. The only conclusion I can get from this, is to only eat there after 5pm. For all of our visits, the atmosphere was nice and relaxing.

While staying at golden sands 8 of us visited this pub on my recommendation based on previous management this time of the 8 meals ordered 1 was under cooked and 5 was over cooked to the extent that one of our party broke a tooth biting into a chicken burger, we complained and the 6 meals in question was given a refund and the option of a free replacement meal, in addition to this we was twice attempted to be palmed off with orange squash instead of orange juiceThe next time only 4 of us went and I have to say the main course (fish and chips) was absolutely gorgeous, we were so happy 3 of us decided to order dessert 2 arrived when enquiries was made about the rest of the order we was told "It's just being done now" about fifteen minutes later a man who I can only assume was the manager came over and apologised saying "that part of the order hadn't made it down to the kitchen" (gremlins in the computer no doubt) anyway once again a refund was given.

So haven have taken over the pub. Being a privilege card holder on the site meant I got a discount on the food and drink. We ate here 2x in our week long stay 1st week of august. Staff were friendly and mentioned teething problems and how they hoped people would be understanding. The first meal we had was delicious, served quickly and a great sized portion. This is why we returned the following day, who doesn't love a good bargain? They must've had a different chef on as there was barely any tuna in my tuna toastie, missing cream on my sticky toffee pudding (the day before it was served with a small bowl of whipped cream and a scoop of ice cream ) and sweetcorn invading my side salad despite the staff saying it did not come with sweetcorn. It seems more open and fresh but the atmosphere is lacking from previous years. They did however have live entertainment (which was hilarious!) which many people came for and it did really liven up the place and it had a feel of its old self again.

Looks like haven have purchased the place to remove the nearest competition. I feel for the staff. No management on site, very polite very stressed staff being let down by a large company. The prices have gone up too from previous visits and its lost its identity. If you wish to feel like you are in a script from faulty towers eat here and good look. Visited a couple of times while in Mablethorpe. Just situated off the beach and outside of the Haven Golden Sands Holiday park. Choice of foods but we only drank. Comfy place with a second room with an arcade which keeps the kids happy. Plenty of benches outside with parasols if wanted to be outside.

popped in for a drink ended up stopping for meals. very busy when we arrived ..no clean tables but asked and they cleaned up without no fuss. Takes a while for food to arrive bit came out fresh and hot. I ordered a ploughman's and was pleasantly surprised by the presentation. very quirky. There is an adult only area so there is an area for everyone. This is definitely 1 place to eat thats cheep cheerful and caters for most tastes at a price to suit every budget. where the food tastes great! (the only fault was a few annoying flies in the family room area that kept landing on everything, there both the times we visited) we went twice as its such good value. Drinks available, not massively overpriced like some eateries so great if you have children.

Popped in for a quick bite after visiting the seal sanctuary.Limited menu but enough choice for everyone. Not bad prices!!Barman was not very knowledgeable about the menu and when visiting with a fussy child this was not great.I couldn't fault the speed in which the food was brought out, and everything was cooked well.Overall this was quite a pleasant meal, would I go back - maybe if I was passing but I wouldn't go out of my way!!

Found this place on the way to the beach, and so glad we did. The ppl were friendly and the food is good and reasonably priced. They have a small arcade and sell beach toys and have plenty of seating inside and outside. Would definitely visit again.

More like a licensed cafe than a pub. Nothing here for a real ale drinker. We settled for mugs of tea.Nothing interesting in the food menu but the food was decently cooked. Good chips.Handy if you're visiting the Seal Sanctuary.

Stayed at the Golden Sands and my wife and son went for a walk onto the beach and discovered this gem. Friendly, great value, food great, beer mighty fine and the entertainment was spot on.Spent 5 evenings out of 10 there as it was so good. Even do a late night menu which was so welcome as we're that busy that we didn't get there before 9 most nights. We even won the quiz with 20/20 and got a free round which made it an even better stay. Not to say anything bad about the Haven site but you have to visit this at least once to see if it is your cup of tea cos' if it is you'll spend as much time there as we did

Really good food.Friendly staff, food comes quick. Was'nt too busy we found a table easily. Some of the menu stops at 7pm, but pizza and pie are available-had some delicious treacle pudding and custard-glad of the walk back to walk it off!!- the food was very hot and in my opinion a good size -this is'nt a restaurant but better than a cafe, will definately be going back!!

We went here after a ride on the beach train. We sat outside listening to the 60's music playing (not too loudly). We had drinks and some food. The food was fine and reasonably priced. The staff were nice and friendly and so were the customers. We will go back if stay in the area again. You can catch the road train outside the pub.

Went for a meal here the choice was plentiful and the price very good. The staff were friendly and the service very good. Really enjoyed our time here. In the evening you can often find entertainment on here, not every night but it is displayed who is appearing and when above the bar. Very good.

From the outside I thought oh no as there where lots of people smoking and wasn't impressed on first impressions. Inside is a different story. Food limited but of good quality. A bit pricey but you don't mind that if food good. Felt a bit rushed as plates taken as soon as finished and felt like they were rushing us for the next lot of people to sit there, we ended up not finishing our drinks due to this

We stayed at Golden Sands and used the Ferryboat every day for food and bar drinks. Both were very well priced and didn't put a big hole in our holiday budget that would have happened in the noisy overpriced on-site complex. Food was of a good standard and just what was needed after a day on the beach. We have used the Ferryboat for many years as a base to meet all our local friends and the staff are always very helpful and courteous. Our only complaint was the lack of Air Conditioning on a very hot week and we we advised that there was a fault and it was being looked at. Well done to the ownership and staff and we hope to see you again next year.

We discovered this pub while camping on golden sands . Has you might as well find out these haven sites don't come cheep when it comes to feeding the family. But gladly we found this little gem, the place does look a little grubby from the outside, but please don't let this put you off the place is so much Cheeper regarding the food and beer the staff here are really friendly and make a huge effort to make you feel very welcome. The food is on par with the haven site next door if not better, where you are probably staying, and unfortunately paying top Dollar for.The place also caters for all your family entertainment and also has a mini amusement room .

The service has declined since we last dined here. Little touches have disappeared. The wine is now plonked on the table and initial glass no longer poured. I had the lamb wellington, and was somewhat disappointed to receive 2 small cubes of meat. It was very nice though as was the rest of our meal.

There seem to be bad reviews about this Costa but I like it very much.this time I was alone, usually I am with a friend.the barista pointed out to me that I had a complimentary drink on my app so I had a strawberry frappe entirely free and o nly had to pay for my cake.staff are friendly and the place is clean.

Have had the set Sunday lunch on several occasions. Quality of the meal has been fairly consistent. Today however, the experience was overshadowed by some very nasty custard! It sounds very picky, when the rest of the meal was fine, but watery, lumpy, tasteless powdered custard with the crumble, took the edge right off...
