The lunch menu is very tasty but they ran out of salad if all things and didn’t replace it with anything (like coleslaw for instance, which came with other lunch items). The service is spotty and while the beer garden atmosphere is quite nice, the tables are never as clean as one would wish.

Very warm and welcoming staff. Food is so fresh and perfect portions on the plate. Everyone is happy and relaxed. Winter is the best. All fires are on . It's cosy and warm Summer time, you have a large garden area and has a good sun trap in places. All dogs are friendly. Especially Elli who lives at the pub.

For your traditional style pub, to have a drink in yet still be able to eat, The Falcon is a good shout. Friendly staff make for a warm welcoming atmosphere- even has some real fires to help keep warm in Winter.

The Falcon is a really nice, laid back venue. Key features are a nice selection of real ale, a wonderful peaceful garden that has plenty of space. The pub is full of old charm, two open fires and a real sense of history, the decor suits the location and feels very traditional. The food at the falcon is superb and all of the staff are very welcoming and friendly. The pub has a great community feel and all of the punters are welcoming and engaging. It doesn't take long to make new friends here. All in all, it's a great little pub with lots to offer. There's nothing to not like about the Falcon.

Haven’t eaten here in a while, and after trying Sunday roasts in a number of local pubs recently we decided to come to the Falcon. The roast beef dinner was the best we’ve had in a long time. Delicious tender beef, six different vegetables all cooked perfectly (get very fed up with raw veg) crisp and light Yorkshire puddings and proper beef gravy, not packet stuff. Highly recommend. Full and happy. A really good selection of wines to go with it.

Arrived here after a three mile walk at 1 minute to 2. After ordering a beer I was told kitchen kitchen closed at 2 and there was no food. No selection of bottled larger. Only Heineken.

My wife and I visited on a Saturday evening, having prebooked a table, and were very concerned that the requirement to wear face coverings when moving around was not observed by either staff or customers. When we arrived the person behind the bar was wearing a mask but later did not, even when serving at tables. Our food was served by a different member of staff who also wore no face covering. Of around 12 adults that we saw in the pub whilst we were there, only 1 wore a mask when not at their table and, as far as we could tell, no-one was told that they should wear one by staff. I have messaged the pub with my concerns but received no response as yet.

This is actually a great little pub. I have been here several times. It has a great cosy atmosphere and all the locals are friendly and helpful. The food is good and there is always some sort of theme night going on, for example a quiz night, am open Mic night and a few food nights. It has ample parking and have never had a problem leaving the car overnight. The only criticism would be it is rather pricey but the historic setting and cosy feel make up for that. Also it doesn't show any sport or have any music.

Went for a walk from the Premier Inn and found this gem of a pub about a mile away. As it was Friday we had fish I had the Haddock and my wife had the scampi it took a while to cook but that's what you get when its fresh, The Haddock had a very thin batter on it so it did not impair the taste of the fish and was plentiful enough for us together with a cider and a real ale made it a pleasent evening. this is a pub that we will defiantly visit while in the area. Apparently this pub has featured in 'Lewis' & Antiques road trip so must have something going for it.

What a lovely pub for a Sunday afternoon drink. Very olde worlde, cosy, unspoilt & friendly - just how I like my pubs. Drinks & food very reasonably priced too, with a nice unfussy menu that has something for everyone. We particularly liked the sausage selection on the blackboard! I just can't believe I've never been here before, as I don't live very far away - maybe it's down to its tucked-away location, which makes it a real hidden gem. Popped in for a quick drink and maybe something to eat, we used to eat here regularly but haven't been for a few years. The car park was always unusual and that hasn't changed, still has a few odd vehicles in various states of repair. The problem was evident as soon as we opened the door, it smelt bad and was very dirty everywhere, my wife refused to eat there and I had to agree with her, shame it used to be excellent, we had a drink and left.

I've been searching for a bakery that could truly rival the pastries I had in Italy, and I finally found it in Green Delight. Their croissants are flaky and buttery, their cannoli are creamy and perfectly sweet, and their tiramisu is the best I've ever tasted. The staff are incredibly friendly and passionate about their craft, and the bakery itself has a charming, old-world atmosphere. If you're a fan of Italian pastries, this is a must-visit.

After a long day sightseeing the streets of London and lugging my suitcase onto the train to High Wycombe, I managed to get to my hotel room I n time to watch the live Friday night football on Sky on my laptop. Then the app failed so I dragged my sorry body across the road to Yates. Entering the pub, I stood inside the door scanning the empty pub for a tv. Rugby on one, lots of slots but the game (LeedsUnited) was on in a corner. I then pulled out my wallet and fidgeted with my cards to find my personal one, all good and they served Heineken, all good…. I walked up and asked for a pint. The manager waded across the barman, “I’m sorry sir, I think you’ve had enough to drink tonight “. Eh? “I’m stone cold sober, I’m fit to drive a car”. He said he had been observing me and that I was intoxicated. I genuinely thought he was joking but no, he bragged in front of the staff that he was the licensee and had made an irreversible decision. I asked if I could just watch the game, he refused and called his bouncer. Btw I am a 63 year old accountant unlikely to cause a fight in an empty pub. This clever manager exercising his business acumen was clearing a near empty pub at 8pm on a Friday. My parting words were “no wonder your pub is empty on a Friday night when an idiot is in charge”. I didn’t get his name but I’m sure it’s Dick…
