Great local. small cosy bars .huge garden and car park hidden at rear through an arch way at the side of the pub.entertainment laid on.skytv .Worth checking out the Web site or on Facebook.

Historic coaching inn now as a pub split into 2 bars left/right as you enter. Visited for the ale trail and was not disappointed. Quality couple of pints of courage best, attentive bar staff, clean tables and some of the friendliest chatty locals I have encountered for a while. Good enough for me to want to head out to Theale again just to return. Recommended... This is one of the oh, so few, heritage pubs near reading.

Just a quick visit. Came across as more of a drinking pub for locals than anything. Not much variety in the beers, but service was fast and friendly.

Cenamos aquí el jueves por la noche, 1 hamburguesa de cordero y 1 pescado y patatas fritas. Mi compañero normalmente nunca pediría una hamburguesa de cordero y describió la suya como "la mejor hamburguesa que jamás haya probado". El pescado y las patatas fritas eran geniales, el servicio fue excelente, amable pero no en la cara, y un postre encantador. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente.

We are constantly advised to support your local pubs, well don't both with this one. Rude bar maid who charged £23 for 4 drinks, no prices visible so i'm pretty sure she made them up. When some locals started kicking off in the other bar we were asked to drink up and leave as she'd had enough for the evening. I'll be spending my money else where in future.
