Booked for dinner on Thursday evening. The food is 11/10 & the staff are really nice. A must if you are in the area.

Quite possibly one of the best Sunday Lunches I have eaten in the Cirencester for sometime.

We decided on here at the last minute and were so glad we did. The food was amazing. Great starters of sweetcorn soup and fishcake. The mains of hake fillet risotto and beef rendang were so good I forgot to take a photo!

Service was excellent and the food outstanding! Will definitely come back , thank you .

Lovely pub in a beautiful Cotswold village just off the main road to Cirencester. The food was delicious and the service excellent. The only downside was a very noisy coffee machine situated at the bar which was grinding coffee beans and steaming milk on and off the whole time we were there. It was intrusive and made conversation difficult. I noticed there was a small room behind the bar - surely that would be a better place for it? But if you don't mind the noise then it was good value for the prices charged.

Absolutely fabulous. Some friends and I were singing at a wedding in the village and Natalie very kindly fitted us in for lunch with minimal notice. Thank you for the amazing food a warm welcome. We will be back!

This is consistently my favourite pub in the Cotswolds. Today I had another excellent meal: corn soup, rib eye steak and lemon posset. It was all delicious and the service was, of course, exemplary. I thought the price was also very reasonable. Some people head to pubs run by celebrities, those who know better will end up here. And thankfully, it’s still open!

As we were a large group of eight adults and four young children we made a telephone booking. We were given a dining area to the rear of the pub, and arrived to find the table beautifully set out for us with high chair as requested. The staff were friendly, service was excellent and the food delicious. Dietary requirements, (two gluten-free and one vegetarian were well catered for and advice on options from the menu given by staff). There was a wide range of meals on the menu, and also good choice of children's meals and portions were generous. We would definitely recommend The Falcon to others! Many thanks again.

Very glad to have come across this unassuming little pub in a sleepy village after a long day at RIAT. Was full of families and great attentive friendly staff. I had the fish and chips ( and consider myself a bit of a connoisseur of this particular traditional fayre so very highly recommend!) and hubby had the seemingly very popular Falcon Burger, both were very impressive, presented beautifully and tasted top notch. Also worth mentioning the unexpected warm freshly baked roll with a swirl of lovely butter…. Not rock hard! We’d hoped to return for a Sunday roast the next fay after such a lovely find only to be told they dont open for food in the Summer on Sundays, and are closed Mondays! As townies used to everything being open we were gobsmacked but fair play to what looked to be a family run pub they have got it just right and thoroughly deserve a 5 star review as well as a work/life balance! Sadly we dont live locally but would love to repeat visit this one. Highly recommend!

Fabulous country pub just outside Cirencester. The pub is very traditional but serves a very modern food menu. The menu itself has good range of options including vegetarian dishes. It's also has a great beer and wine selection - this includes non alcohol options as well.

Warm welcome tastefully decorated tables well spaced. Staff very friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and a good price. Would definitely recommend.

This is our favourite pub in the area where we regularly meet halfway with old friends. It has been under the same management for 14 years and is located in a beautiful village.

This was the best meal we had while on holiday. Splendid food we all loved. Even the Fish and Chips was superbly done. Great service too.

No friendly greeting on arrival. Blunt cutlery. Suspect ‘roast’ potatoes had been deep fried. Modern dining room aesthetics do nothing to soften the noise level from diners’ conversations.

Enjoyed a great meal here on a Thursday night with friends. All three of us enjoyed the flavours and texture of the starters. Mains of Chicken and Leak Pie with veg and gravy, PorkRisotto, we all agreed were excellent along with decent wine and beer. Nice welcome with attentive and friendly service.

Visiting for the first time on the basis of a couple of recommendations, we certainly weren't disappointed. A friendly welcome, with water served straight away as we took our table (no need to ask for it, as we seem to have to do in many places these days) and drink orders taken soon afterwards. A very nice Cotswold ale, and a reasonable range of wine available by the glass. The full wine list looked interesting but sadly I was driving so we couldn't explore it! Bread rolls were brought out before the meal, which is becoming increasingly rare these days, it seems. Both our main meals were exceptionally good; the duck breast and a rump steak Presentation, flavour, portion size, all excellent. Vegetables were included with the duck breast, which was nice to see; it's annoying when places charge extra for "sides" of what should be included in the main dish. The créme brulée was also lovely. Overall a really good way to celebrate my wife's birthday. We will definitely return!

Sunday lunch, so the traditional roasts were available. Pub roast potatoes are usually a disappointment, but the Falcon succeeded in serving up that perfect combination of crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I went for the onion soup starter (pictured), which was a work of art. The only disappointment was that Yorkshire puddings were only served with the beef. Lamb eaters had to go without. Extra gravy was offered free of charge for anyone who wanted it. Only English mustard available, unfortunately, so I had to pass. One of our party has a list of dietary requirements and the staff managed to work around them ok.

Found this place on internet and thought give it a try for Sunday lunch a smart looking place we both enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch very hot plates beautiful cooked beef Plenty of vegetables service spot on would say book if going as not a big restaurant

Celebrating my Mum's birthday my wife found this amazing pub when searching online. Food and service are amazing, would highly recommend.

Food was nice, but they wouldn't allow us to order children's meals for 2 adults, both had medical reasons for asking for small portions & there were 6 others ordering main meals & desserts...

We all had a fantastic Sunday lunch. Starters were amazing. Great beef, veg and the gravy was so tasty! We have been coming here for some time now and we have always left highly satisfied.

Attractive pub/restaurant with nice friendly staff but somewhat overpriced for what you get. Average portion size for both adults & children.

A lovely early evening meal here , an appealing set December menu available , good selection of wines and a warm and friendly welcome - highly recommend the spicy lamb and aubergine pie - divine - a very relaxed experience, no rush at all -be mindful there are limited car parking spaces to the rear - would definitely revisit

This is a gem in the Cotswolds which is my go-to place when I’m down. You can eat there quite regularly and taste different dishes each time. Today it was the pig’s cheek following by the ever-excellent fish and chips. Nice pint of beer to wash it all down. The only pity was that I was driving. As always, the service was excellent - friendly and efficient.

We both had the excellent steak and ale pie- very tasty with good selection of veg. Only one desert - choc fondant tasted great. Service was excellent and ambience perfect. If they’ll have us we will definitely return.

We live in the village and count ourselves lucky to have the Falcon within walking distance. I've been probably 15 times and the food and service are consistently superb. Natalie and Dave make you feel very looked after, and Gianni's food is made with a level of care, skill, and attention that rivals anything you'd find in a Michelin starred restaurant, and for half the price. Try it before Jay Rayner finds it and you can't get a table any more. Would recommend the excellent cheese soufflé and chocolate fondant (pictured) which are always on the menu.

Relaxed but trendy modern feel to this old and original pub.....Nice and cosy, great furniture. Food was excellent....cheese soufflé was amazing...... and to follow, the sirloin steak was perfectly cooked and tender! The desert was fabulous....Bakewell tart with ginger ice cream and summer frit compote!!

This is our go-to restaurant when visiting Cirencester as it is consistently good. This visit did not disappoint either. Husband said it was probably the best sea bass he had ever had.

Enjoyable restaurant quality meal in a restaurant-pub clearly enjoyed by visitors & locals alike. Small venue so booking advisable turned out to be true as was full even on a Wednesday in September!

Good food, but ruined by being evicted from our table at 10pm on the dot for an 8pm table, could’ve advised at time of booking or served us faster if we’d have known

We have had 2 beautiful meals here in the past but was so disappointed last night when we were ushered out of the door spot on 10pm. As usual the food was excellent. But to be told to hurry up and order puddings because we close at 10.00 then to have the bill presented to us while still eating was unacceptable. Can pubs really afford to be this rude in this day and age with a table of 9? 5* for food 0 for hospitality. So disappointed will not be back.

To start with food was a 5* but…. We booked a table for 8pm as a group of 9 to celebrate my brother coming home from Ozz at no point during the booking process we’re we told that not only did they close at 10pm but we had to be out at 10pm, we would of booked an earlier sitting, £400 later we were having are table cleared drinks removed and basically ushered out the the door our bill being thrown at us at 9.55 no coffee on offer and just awful customer service if we wanted fast food we would of gone go McDonald’s. Really really disappointed and we will not be returning and I would highly recommend if you have a celebration and would like to enjoy the company that you are with do not go to this venue! Just rude

Stumbled across this when it was a rainy day and we were delighted! The food was incredible, great service and it’s such a gorgeous place. Would highly recommend!

An exquisite gem of a gastro pub. Not a huge menu, but carefully curated and lovingly prepared. A hidden secret!

This restaurant is nestled in the country, housed in a beautiful old building, but the food is very modern. Impeccably cooked and beautifully presented, every mouthful was a delight for the taste buds. Not overly expensive but certainly tasted like a Michelin starred locale. The dishes here are the Smoked salmon, tonic gel and pickled cucumber, Pan seared scallops with cauliflower and pancetta, Skate wing with caper and parsley butter, new potatoes and a radicchio salad, Braised shoulder of lamb ballotine, roast garlic mash with a fricassee of wild mushrooms, broad beans and pancetta and Lemon posset with macerated berries and shortbread. Pay them a visit and taste for yourselves.

Food was divine! 10/10 would love to go every week! Friendly service, great selection of food and drink. Pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommend 👌

I have eaten here a few times when visiting my daughter and family in Poulton. Excellent food, service and customer care. Looking forward to going again soon.

Do make sure to take your coat , hat and ideally gloves with you . The pub was so cold throughout it spoilt the whole occasion . Never again I'm afraid.

My uncle brought my husband and I for lunch yesterday. We very much enjoyed the meal but what really made the experience was the very warm service from the staff. A delight.

We had a wedding anniversary lunch for 12 at The Falcon. The private dining room was ideal for the even and the booking and organisation was friendly and efficient. The food was excellent, as was the service, and all at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Great location amazing wine no hot food on a Sunday though

My partner and I are here a few days ago (23rd August) and we were thoroughly impressed with the food and the service! We were staying in accommodation over the road (The Hermitage at Poulton Manor) and thought we would check out the local pub. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious and presented beautifully. The staff were super friendly and chatty. Would recommend a visit to this lovely countryside pub.

Stayed in the village for a week and ate most nights here. All the staff were super friendly and the service was always good. Gets busy with locals which is always a good sign! If you’re staying nearby or passing through it’s definitely worth a visit. I would try and make a booking as it gets busy. The food was all really great and the the beers were kept very well. Highly recommend.

Very good restaurant meal, especially the wonderfully flavoursome crispy beef salad, which was crispy, fresh and with a brilliantly balanced spice and peanut dressing; not so strong it overpowered our tasty Albarinho white wine. Also, excellent cherry frangipane dessert with cherry sorbet. Packed with flavour. Extremely good value for money, with friendly, efficient service. Great meal experience. Highly recommend.

Delicious food today. Torched mackerel was brilliantly balanced with new season rhubarb. A chicken burger with chipotle mayo was tender and juicy on brioche and the chips were as good as I've ever had.

This is the go to pub for my husband and I, it is superb. There is a lot of competition in the Cotswolds and especially around Cirencester. We have been frequent visitors over the last 4 years. The staff are very friendly and share a passion for the superb food and very good wine. The pub is just the right size not too big and so has a lovely homely atmosphere strengthened in winter by log fires. This truly is a Gastropub to visit; you won’t be disappointed.

Lovely food and the service was amazing. Top notchs for Paul, such a gentleman, so friendly and a pleasure to be served by.

We went for dinner. The wait staff all wore masks and were lovely. Our main waiter was Dave. I am vegan so he helped with the menu. I had the butternut squash which was delicious. Dave Informed me that he omitted the pesto as it was not vegan. For dessert I had the vegan brownie and orange ice cream which was sublime. Thanks Dave for being so gracious.

Can't rate the Falcon Inn enough! The staff were super helpful with my wife's dairy allergy advising what had it and how dishes could be amended so she could have them. To top it off they even had a vegan brownie desert option! Top service and AMAZING food, will certainly be booking a table when I'm in the area again.

We arrived on time for our booking but unfortunately we had misread online that dogs were allowed. The gentleman who greeted us was most rude, he did not show any understanding for our misunderstanding despite the local drinkers standing up for us. It was as if I had brought a soaking wet great dane into the bar, not a 9 month old ball of fluff that could pass for a rabbit. We left the rest of our friends and took the dog home, which we didn't mind. Upon return, the rudeness continued from the serving staff, who had made our friends order before we had got to the table. They continuously told us how much time we had left at the table, brining the desert menu with the caveat that we had ten minutes to order and to eat. We had not shown our frustration until this point, after which their attitude changed and suddenly they had a spare table that we could move to. It was too late at this point. The food that we eat was lovely but scarred entirely by the terrible service.

A lovely country Inn, serving delicious home cooked food. You must book ahead, my friend and I ate on a Wednesday lunch time, and this little pub was full!

Went on a Sunday for a lunch. The staff were excellent very friendly and welcoming. Had the beef roast which was cooked perfectly (medium rare). Not much selection of lagers but the wine list makes up for that! A really lovely local pub in a cute village just outside of the Cotswolds water parks area. Worth the travel but book ahead!

Fabulous food in a lovely setting.

Food was nice, good variety and all dishes were cooked well. Kids pasta was by far the hottest plate of food ever served and was below average compared to all other dishes. (Thin flavourless tomato sauce) Waitresses were attentive and we enjoyed our evening. Definitely a Comfy pub. That was all Up until our 2 year old daughter wanted to sing happy birthday to our eldest and we were then asked by the owner Natalie to keep her quite. Not even politely. Admittedly she was singing her heart out, but the only table next to us was happy, laughing and even spurring her on. With no understanding that toddlers can’t eat pasta steaming hot and the fact the noise she made was less than the locals getting a bit carried away in the corner this pub isn’t for family’s with younger kids. Bit of a shame as this could have easily been a 5* review
