10 / 10 for food and beer. Sunday lunch was fantastic. Called late and they fitted me in.

Had a lovely evening out with friends, no music so we were actually able to talk to each other and have a good catch up. Really cosy old fashioned pub, loved it

Brilliant traditional pub. Great beers and food. We popped in late on a Sunday afternoon, but we got in and had a lovely Lamb Shank and a proper Pork chop. The Titanic Porter is delicious. Highly recommend.

Lovely traditional pub. Well kept beers at reasonable prices. It's a small pub but they do bring out tables and chairs outside. Nice attentive staff. There was a large group of us and some were left standing. The barman came out with additional chairs.

Great beer selection at proper prices and the finest tasting draught Plum Porter in the world. Traditional olde world pub. Nice and quiet. Great food.

Well kept beer, fantastic Sunday lunch. It's a very small venue, so booking for Sunday lunch is recommended. The occasional specials have been really good, and the lamb shank is consistently excellent.

Lovely pub great food and atmosphere shame it shuts on a busy day like Saturday so the landlord can go for a pint on his birthday elsewhere should hand the reigns over to Martin a bloke that knows how to run a pub

Delicious food and great value. The Sunday lunch was superb value and the desserts were excellent and good portions. Very hospitable staff and a traditional pub with a selection of books and games. Highly recommended.

Fantastic real ale pub, always has a good selection of Ales available. Cosy and authentic surroundings with an open fire and friendly bar staff. Great value compared to other local venues. The Dinners available on a Sunday between 12 and 4 have a good selection of meats available plus a vegetarian option. We first visited on Burns day weekend and Haggis Neeps and Tatties was also on the menu. They often have other specials such as shin beef or toad in the hole available as well as the usual Sunday dinners lamb/beef/chicken/pork. We were lucky to be able to walk in the first time but it is advised to ring and book in for lunch at the pub as they regularly sell out. Definitely worth a visit.

Martin the bar man was very welcoming and the beer was kept flowing.

Haven’t been in for many years but still absolutely fantastic. Open fire, fantastic cask and cheese and onion cobs. You can’t ask for more than that.

Always friendly Martin is a very good host.

Brilliant little boozer with a warm welcome, friendly staff and patrons. The landlord even dried off the outside seats for us after a sudden shower - brilliant ! Good selection of beers, ciders (usually including lilley's mango ), lagers and spirits. Cosy 'traditional' interior with fabulous photos of Canning Circus in years gone by - we are always surprised by how much has changed since these pictures were taken. Real fires in the winter too. Give it a go, it's a proper pub for proper folk!

Visited for the first time last week. A lovely little pub full of beautiful historic photos and quirky characteristics, really felt like a step back in time. There are a few tables outside the front of the pub, which is a really nice spot just to chill and drink. Also to add friendly bartender (possibly owner) and great prices, definitely worth a visit!

Great pub, traditional type of place serving excellent real ales, decent food, Sunday roasts etc. The owner clearly takes pride in the quality of the beer and was very knowledgeable.

Small room local boozer of the sort of which is disappearing. Small selection of always good beer Titanic Porter and Cira seem to be always on. A rotating cast of friendly regulars add to the proper pub feeling that many real and craft beer bars have lost. Very good Sunday lunches, lamb shank is a speciality but if belly pork roast is on have that it's restaurant class.

Laid back pub. Has a good selection of craft beers. Main bar has a traditional open fire. Has a snug downstairs and room upstairs. Friendly bar staff and nice atmosphere.

Lovely old-fashioned pub, complete with an open fire, very laid back atmosphere. Would recommend a pint of moonshine.

The haggis with neeps, mash and whisky sauce was delicious. Friendly service, didn't wait long for the food to arrive and very reasonably priced.

A quaint English style pub in the metropolis, serving up to 6 cask no keg .no garden but an outside ' street ' smoking area , beers are kept to a reasonable quality, normally serving shiny welbeck Abbey abbeydale and oakham coupled with a decent and well priced porter from titanic .cheers

Another one of Nottinghamshire best pubs. Good beer and convivial. Very friendly company. A number of good pubs in the Canning Circus area but this is my favourite.

Excellent Beer Quality and range of Beers.

Classic pub in Canning Circus - small and cozy with a well stocked bar and nice selection of beers. Burgers served on Saturday, but I came for the Sunday Roast and a pint of real ale - both were great. Staff is friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was superb.
