The Fairfield in Stockton-on-Tees

Car park scam. Went in July for drinks wasn’t told to enter my reg no sign posting to advise this was needed, 2 months later get a fine for 140 quid.

Be careful. Definitely a bit of something underhand going on with car park. I'm guessing the pub is getting a percentage of the car park fines. Parked car, inputted registration, machine recognised car, 3 weeks later got a parking invoice for £100. Challenged it and it was immediately reduced to £20. Won't be going back as I'm not prepared to be financing scams.

Had to stay o/ night on hospital business. This hotel is just down the road from the Premier o/s James Cooke Hospital. I asked for a table for one. I was taken to a back room with no-one else present. There was a TV showing Aussie car racing ! I ordered at the bar and, as it was Tuesday, I ordered their special that day - Jumbo Scampi. It came in quick time. The chips were warm, the peas were cold and if this was the jumbo portion do not order a normal serving ! Not a good experience.

Came in today for a family meal me the wife and the kids, food was very affordable and really enjoyed it! Portion size was impressive and everything was cooked to exactly how we liked it. They do very cheap kids deals including a main and desert for 3.49! Staff were very friendly and welcoming and couldn't be more of a help and were checking us regularly to make sure everything was up to standard. Will definitely be returning !

My self and my husband poped in for lunch we were not disappointed, staff were so friendly and helpful answered questions about the food and drink they supplied.. Food was lovely and hot, we will definitely be back again So thanks to all as it truly was a great experience

Great choice of premium lagers, straight to the pool room to have a couple of games with mates, big screen showing footy game and side screen showing sky sports news so could keep an eye on other games. Ordered a chicken burger which was better than KFC my mates had weekend sharers which were delicious and huge portions for price. Plenty of deals on jagers/ cocktails and shots not forgetting double up on any spirit for £1.50. Service was great very welcoming now a regular will be in every weekend best sports bar in town.

Stopped off to watch the rugby and stayed for some food on the way home, decent food and atmosphere but I he England result topped it off

Great food at an affordable price absolutely stuffs you. Friendly atmosphere with all the live sports and a very impressive drink selection. Real ales for 2.65! Cant knock the place one bit

Me and my partner came in for tea and drinks, service was great, food came out fast and was delicious couldn’t fault, will definitely be returning!

Visited yesterday for food and to watch the football. Food was great with a wide variety of choice, which was ideal for me as I’m very fussy. The staff were really helpful recommending gins to me as they had such a selection. Football on the big screens kept my mates happy and commentary too. Would definitely visit again!

We have used this pub for years but the service has gone down hill since the change of management, it’s a lottery if they have food and a chef in when you visit, we went in on grill night and they had no steak! Other nights the chef just goes home early or doesn’t turn up at all! Staff are leaving left right and centre because of the new landlady. We won’t visit again until something is done about it.

The staff in the Fairfield have always been friendly!! And still are. My friend and I go in regular. We went for tea with our 2 children. We ordered chips and gravy. The chips were uncooked and hard. We informed the staff and their were happy to let the chef know. However the response of the chef was some what different. You can rather have them as there are or have a refund because I won’t cook them any better. -1 for rating it would of took nothing to Cook them again. Especially for the kids

We came here on a Saturday lunch time and sat in the beer garden. The bar maid/waitress Karen took our order and took note of alterations we made to the food. She was friendly and made sure we were getting exactly what we asked for. She bought our food out quickly and checked back to make sure everything was fine. She was very friendly and the food was lovely! Would definitely recommend.

Came in for food was nice, fish and chips and a drink for £5.99 Was great value, the staff seemed friendly and the drinks tasted good

Went for meal today got a large mixed grill all the meat on it over done chips under done peppercorn sauce like water only thing that was nice was the salt

Often stop for a drink in the Fairfield, comfy, relaxing place to have a drink and the bar prices are great. Ate for the first time last week in the conservatory with family including young children and thoroughly enjoyed it. Chicken parmo was delicious and the chips best I've had in a while. Staff attentive, friendly and quick, would definitely eat again.

This is a bit disappointing, overpriced food but alright for a pint and a drink, won’t ever get food again

Shame this place could be so much better. Flashing lights everywhere 2 for this 3 for that drink offers wall to wall.

Really cheap food, great deals and the food is a good pub standard. Cheap nice beer and friendly staff.

Ist time in ages that we have been ,friend had said food during week had improved , no it has not . Would not eat their again but would return for a drink .

El domingo fuimos a ver el poderoso boro, actualmente 1 - 0 en el medio tiempo. Bajo la nueva administración de Aitor Karanka Steve Agnew después (Danny Danny Ayala) dieron el saco (era venir a ser justos). Bien de todos modos, mis amigos y yo pedimos el pollo Parmesans, cada uno de estos aspecto diferente, lo que era extraño, cada uno de ellos también sabía igual de mal. Beige, insípido, demasiado bechemel salsa y la textura no era bueno. A diferencia de la suerte boro puede girar Parmo cosas alrededor a pesar de lo que Michael Owen está diciendo actualmente en DEPORTES BT

Fuimos para un rápido almuerzo en un pub todo lo que queríamos nos dijeron que no tenían en servicio era comida lenta era terrible si no hubiera tenido que pagar por adelantado sin haber caminado con hacerlo. No volveré a dos de nosotros estuvimos enfermos después así que evítalo. ! ! ! . Solía ser mi hace años local no volveremos pronto.

Fairly poor across all mediums. Poor food poor drink selection uninterested staff and horse racing on TV and coming through the speakers. Was potentially my new local but I'd rather go into town I'm afraid. Sorry.

Went with friends today the food is good not big portions but it's ok we enjoyed it for dinner the staff are friendly enough

No viven en la zona ya, pero estábamos con mis padres, así que decidimos dar el Fairfield. Era bastante, de hecho había más personal de los clientes. Fueron lo suficientemente amable. El menú es normal, pero está bien para un almuerzo rápido o una cena. 7 comidas era £42. Las raciones están bien.

Visited here to check out the £100,000+ refurbishment. Other than new carpets and upholstery I struggled to see what had changed. We ordered our meals the Vegetarian Sausage and Mash I ordered for my son ended up without gravy and the Sausages looked like they had been nuked in the microwave, the mash had little flavour, and the beans were, well just beans. I had a Chicken and Bacon BBQ melt, the Chicken had no flavour and was dry where it had been put under the grill to melt the cheese. My grandad ordered Fish and Chips, I was told when ordering they had no fish, but I could 'upgrade' to Cod for £1 more. I then got told shortly after there was none left, I didn't think I was going to get my £1 extra back until the staff overheard us mentioning it. He ended up with a pie that looked like it had also never seen an oven in its life. I used to work here about 10 years ago and the food was of a much better standard back then, there was also some atmosphere to the pub. Even on a Wednesday afternoon we were the only people in there. Which is poor from back when I was a regular.

Like all pub chains the food is acceptable and meets the requirements of a cheap meal. This is our local pub and we pop in every now and again

This pub delivers good fast food. Pup food. Good for a pit sto. Specially their curry pie ( award winning) verynice

This is a good alround 'pub grub' establishment. it has a fair range of food and a fair price. mostly fried or grilled but you get what you pay for. if you want a decent pub lunch or tea its a good place to go. normally has at least 2 real ales on alongside the regular draft ales and lagers.plenty of seating room and kid friendly.

The apartment was lovely, but unfortunately, our grandson was for ever going in drawers, getting things out so we had to ask for keys, so we could lock doors as he had already broken bedside lamps, When we went it was very hot, but only main bedroom had aircon, so we had to give Grandson and parents the room. Think I'm still getting over it, lol

This must be one of the worst bar meals I have ever had to endure. The pub itself is dated. If you want a meal that is cooked with frozen veg then this is for you. There was no mash, and the roast potatoes were also cooked from frozen. The presentation was poor and the gravy was brought in a minute gravy boat. There was insufficient gravy to cover the meal. I suspect the half chicken was microwaved. The adult portion was the same as the children's portion. The cost £6.99 and it was really not worth it. Never, never again.

Ate here recently and the service was very good. They had lots of variety of foods to eat. Shame the Penne Pomonda was not available that night. Went for 2nd choice cumberland sausage and mash. It wasn't cumberland sausage, it was 3 large sausages instead, which weren't what I was expecting. Have eaten here many times in past and usually very happy with food.
