The Fabulous 50's Diner in Harrogate

My wife and me popped in for lunch. I love American diners but as I live in Yorkshire and not as I used to in New Jersey the choice is limited. I had the Philly cheesesteak which came with fries, coleslaw and was in a ciabattta. It was superb. I have been to Philadelphia a couple of times and had Philly cheesesteak in Philadelphia and this one was much better. The quality of the steak was awesome and the ciabattta better than in the USA as USA bread like their chocolate, in my opinion is not good. Great friendly service too. We did chuckle as one of the rock and roll songs playing in the background included the lyrics ' I love my girl because she swims like a frog and lives in a hollow log'. Different benchmarks in the 1950s.

This was a fun place to go with delicious food/milkshakes and lovely staff. Really jazzy with funky 50s music. Our waiter was really smiley and kind and looked after us well. Would definitely recommend and very good price. 5 stars from me

The menu has a large choice the is cooked to perfection The staff is warm and welcoming The ambiance is great We have been a couple of times and look forward to returning

Lovely restaurant with lovely people. The food was gorgeous as usual and today we tried the pizza (new on the menu) and it had been very nice. For desert we wanted something with fruits so we had the “fruit cup refresher “.

Very disappointed to visit today to find it closed from 2-5pm, just when the weather was ideal for a treat. Nothing on website to inform customers.

We went here on bank holiday Monday after a busy day at Stockeld Park. The waitress was welcoming and gave the kids (4,7 & 10) a selection of toys to chose to play with. Their food came in car shaped boxes, which they loved as well as the food, which was really reasonably priced. The adults enjoyed their food too. We’ll definitely be back when we’re in Harrogate again.

Great experience and lovely food. Chef came up and asked us if we had enjoyed our meals and the price was reasonable. Will definitely visit again.

We had a brilliant birthday meal at the 50s Diner today. I booked online and let them know it was my daughters birthday. The diner decorated our table, complete with party hats. They also brought a birthday cake with candles and birthday song to the table after our food. We were made to feel like VIPs, the food was fantastic, service amazing and we will definitely be recommending to all our friends. Thank you for making our daughters birthday meal so special :-)

Came here for breakfast on a weekend trip to Harrogate and was not disappointed. I had the blueberry and yoghurt pancakes and my husband had bacon and maple syrup pancakes- both equally delicious! The atmosphere is great with 50’s music playing in the background and great banquettes to sit on . Staff lovely, atmosphere great and food gorgeous. Would definitely go back.

Why are places like mcdonalds full when places like this are quiet! Lovely, waitress delicious food and massive milkshake! Happy customers, didn't realise it had recently changed hands, wish them well x

Visited here on a rainy Wednesday eve in July-very easy to book via fb messenger and also make our booking earlier as we were getting hangry!! Arrived to a reserved booth as requested service was very slick and we soon had placed our order of burgers fries and onion straws for adults and pizzas with free fries (instead of free chicken wings) for the boys age 10 and 12. The peanut butter milkshakes were huge served in metal american cups and were fabulous-as was the food We loved the little touches where the chef came up from the kitchen to check we were happy and the little treats brought for the boys at the end of the meal 💖 Really pleased can’t wait to return on our next trip to Harrogate x

The first thing that struck me was the warm and friendly staff who greeted me with genuine smiles. Their attentiveness and knowledge about the menu immediately put me at ease, and I felt comfortable seeking their recommendations. The food was brilliant and I enjoyed every bit of it I’ve been here a few times and it’s always been positive I highly recommend this place.

Fabulous place with great music and decor. We had the Philly cheese steak sandwiches, which were fantastic and the milkshakes are amazing!! Well worth a visit.

Hidden gem in Harrogate. Great decor and music, and the food was fab, served in 50's style baskets. My husband had a milkshake which kept his sugar levels up for the rest of the day! Great service, loved the nostalgia.
