The Faber Fox in Lambeth

Lovely pub restaurant along crystal palace . They do a selection of craft ales and delicious food! They do a small plate special of 3 for £17. We sampled all! The beetroot hummus was delicious and my favourite....also fried squid rings,homemade scotch egg and hallomi fries! Staff were so lovely and friendly. The garden is the best place to sit as you have views of the city. Worth checking out

Thought I was on the wrong page when I saw the pictures here! Looks amazing as does the place itself. In reality the place was tatty, I think it doesn't bode well in a place where you eat that the walls are dirty and the plastic covered menu downright grimy. Bottle of white wine was possibly even warmer than room temperature, especially given that it was 32degrees that day. Was served in a bucket with more water than ice. When we pointed it out the member of wait staff, a pleasant person to be fair, said it had come from 'downstairs'. Not sure why they cant keep at least one of each wine in a fridge. We were given more ice for the bucket. I shared a nachos. It was fine, very light on the cheese but we were hungry so tucked in despite the sour cream looking just 'off' the texture was 'curdled' or something, a tiny sprinking of salsa maybe?. Ordered the Cesar salad because truthfully the menu was pretty limited especially for someone who only eats fish. I never thought a cesar salad could be so bad! It was as if the chef used the ends of the iceberg lettuce, there were no leaves as such. It was swimming in dressing, maybe to make up for lack of lettuce, no anchovies or peach as shown on the menu , maybe 2 croutons. The optional burrata had already been 'broken open' and was just pooling together with the awful cesar salad (maybe) dressing. Inedible and when collected by wait staff, she didn't question it. Said nothing as our friend had picked the place. Bill was £180 for 4. No wonder there was no one else eating there except for 3 guys having burger and chips! Don't waste your hard earned money people.

Fab night. Excellent beer. Food was superb. had the 5 for £25 mix. Could have eaten the pork belly all night. Great dips too and such a good local.

OMG the female bar lady was soooo miserable it was almost funny. But why work behind a bar if you clearly hate it and the people you serve? Ordered a lager and I got an IPA and a shrug. Food was nice but it all came at different times with lots of apologies. But the sports screens were aplenty and the view of London was especially good that day.

Booked a table and asked for a specific table, when my booking was accrpted I wasn’t told they couldn’t accommodate that. Arrived early and was told to fit at another table until ours was ready. That’s fine, but no one came and told us our table was ready. Had to find it ourselves and find someone to clean it. Ordered food and after more than 40 mins chased the server who said forty they were busy. That’s fine, but maybe tell us? Food arrived and 2 1/2 undercooked potatoes with a roast dinner. To top it all they then ran out of Guinness. Not a great experience to say the least!

Four Irish Rugby Fans arrived for food and drinks and of course to see the match..Staff were excellent the food wonderful and the drinks flowed well.. Pity about the result but all four loved the venue. Thanks for a great night.

The hospitality was great, but the roast was not. A few small tweaks and it could have been great, but the veg was boiled and soooo bland. Also the roast potatoes were not crispy at all and hard in the middle. Hugely disappointed for the price.

Very good. Great bar staff and whilst a ton of food not on menu, the burger was excellent as ever. Great little local and a main stay in CP

Don’t go if you’re a coeliac - ordered the gluten free Peckham Helles lager and was served a non-gluten free IPA pint. I watched it come out the right tap but knew it was the wrong drink after sipping it. The staff were not apologetic after being informed this would make me very ill and their original suggestion for the IPA appearance and smell was that the Peckham Helles keg may have been shaken. They eventually tasted and confirmed it was a non-gluten free IPA but also checked the keg connections and apparently it was connected to the right tap. Either way, it’s made me very ill and this place clearly cannot be trusted by coeliacs or gluten free people. Will advise against people going here due to this service.

Great service as always. Andy and Darren are always great. My favourite place to go each weekend as the atmophere is always great!

Andy is class and a guarantee of a class night out. He is also is v good at sports bets so if you need tips ask him

The pub! Fabulous pub in Crystal Palace, was my first time in a British pub and the choice of the place was perfect! Good vibes, good people, nice music!!! I highly recommend!!!

Great staff. Very welcoming and professional and friendly. Super cocktails and drinks. Fish and chips awas lovely as usual. Fab atmosphere and social environment. Can't wait for the summer months and days as this is one of the best places to meet and chill with friends with a super menu..maybe the vegan and gluten free options could be better; two or more choices would be nice but overall a smart place in the triangle. .

We were really unhappy with the meal this evening. They tried to charge £16 for about 8 Brussel sprouts,claiming it to be a main meal when it was just at most a slightly limp side dish. The vegetable curry was also dire and only tasted of chilli with undercooked vegetables and a soft poppadom. We ordered some cauliflower fritters which were rock solid and tasteless. They agreed to take the brussel sprouts off the bill but the waitress was clearly annoyed with us and we had miserable service after that. We won’t be returning!

Visited with family. Wonderful pub nice and clean doesn’t smell like that “usual pub smell” all staff where fantastic even whilst busy, I didn’t feel rushed. Drinks are a good price and the food was fantastic too. Have a lovely outside area too and it’s dog friendly! Will be back with my pup

The food and the drinks were great but Darren is what made my night special. He was a great host and made myself and my partner feel really special. Kizzy and Charlie were also amazing, both went above and beyond. I love this place!

With our old haunts shut down or being renovated we took a stroll and found Faber Fox. Lovely outdoor area, great choice of beers and really friendly, efficient staff. Will definitely be our meeting place in the future. Nice burger and chips too :-)
