Good food for a food price. Service was excellent.

After ordering takeaway on numerous occasions, me and my partner decide we would eat in. The staff are lovely and helpful! And the food...amazing!!! Would definitely eat in again!

We visited during our Cotswolds Way walk. The food here really was absolutely superb, very high quality and reasonable price, monkfish curry and grilled pork starter particularly amazing. Great staff too.

This has to be the best restaurant in Cam and Dursley. Lovely atmosphere, tasty food, great service at reasonable prices, great for special occasions. Staff are attentive, happy to advise on different curries and preferences and even check with you exactly how spicy you would like your curry! The tikka monkfish and coconut peshwari naan are to die for. The bearded server (sorry I don’t know his name) is always impeccably polite. Highly recommended.

We actually ate here a while ago, but I felt inclined to write a review now. This is by far the best Indian/Nepalese restaurant in the area, there is a unique variety of curries on offer, all of the ones we tried were delicious. The naans are a little crisp and flavourful, as they should be. Even the desserts are quite well thought out and tasty. This is combined with great service and atmosphere. Can’t wait to return!

I think this may just be the best curry I've ever eaten and I don't say that lightly. The chicken in my bhuna was extremely tender with lots of it being able to absorb the rich sauce it came in making for a great flavour combo. The rice was rice, you can't really go wrong with rice. But the naan was great too, thick enough to be used to scoop up the curry but not too thick as to be doughy and undercooked. Will be ordering again!

We became aware of the place through the reviews and the restaurant really lived up to those ratings. The service was very warm and friendly and the food was very traditional and authentic. So if you are looking for delicious food at a fair price, I can only recommend a visit :)

A warm and friendly atmosphere, reflected from with the attentive service from the staff. Tonight the restaurant was buzzing, food was timely, warm, well presented and above all very tasty. Homemade poppadoms with freshly made pickles, a great appetiser. Chicken shashlik was nothing less than fabulous in both taste and presentation, I enjoyed with a Bhuna sauce on the side. Garlic naan, again fresh well flavoured. My Friend had the lamb fried rice with Bhuteko Khasi (Lamb with garlic, chillies, fresh tomatoes and Nepalese herbs) again divine presentation. I have to say the best Indian subcontinent influenced dining experience I have ever had. Thank you to the Chefs and staff of Everest.

First time using this restaurant, I rarely review, but the food was so very good, tasty, fresh, and good quality chicken. The service was so friendly too. What a gem.

Young lad serving us drinks was polite and charming. Assisted us in our order and even told us about the nicest curry in the resturant. Will be dining again.

Our first visit to this restaurant, the staff very friendly and helpful. Washroom facilities very clean. The food arrived hot and was delicious. Portion size very generous. We will definitely go there again and also highly recommend.

We visited the place as we were treating our friends from the far east. Regret the attitude of the fair faced waiter was hurting, abrupt and looked down on us. But to be fair the waiter that took our main order was good and he made amends with his suggestions... especially the Vegetarian curry.

Had a birthday party on Saturday and the everest supplied the food. Everyone at the party said how nicecthe food was. The lamb dish was especially liked although all dishes were well received. When I went to collect, the food was ready for me and all packed in a box. It was piping hot as well. Would highly recommend the everest to anyone.

This is a high quality restaurant with very friendly service, great presentation and a wide menu with many beautifully seasoned regional specialities. Its also in a lovely village location, we have eaten here twice following days out walking from the village, highly recommended.

The momo is a must. The haryali lamb is their signature dish and is spectacular! Pair with their garlic pita bread and rice for an absolutely wonderful meal. The servers are friendly, kind, and give great recommendations. 10 of 10 and can’t wait to come back next holiday.

We went last night for a birthday treat, and are so glad we did! The food was exceptional, each dish felt quite unique and authentic, setting it apart from other restaurants in the area and making it a more special experience. Everything was very high quality too, cooked excellently and clearly with love and care. And Front of Houde really took care of us, it was a wonderful evening and we will definitely be back for other special occasions or just a treat, thank you Everest Team!

A Nepalese restaurant which offers a few Indian dishes. It is first, Nepalese and the better for it. Service was excellent. We were a group of 4 we had great help and advice from charming, courteous and helpful owner/manager. His advice was impeccable. The food was of exceptional quality. We have all eaten in numerous Indian restaurants over many many years but this was without doubt the best. The restaurant was full, very buzzy and all the staff showed great patience and tolerance. Huge gratitude to the Chef and his/her staff they know how to cook and avoid copious amounts of oil. A wonderful evening to remember. We will absolutely return very soon. Thank you all at the Everest.

Visiting Tortworth from Southampton for valentines/partner birthday. Food was delicious and the staff were lovely and surprised my partner with a birthday dessert. Great value for food and service - if we lived local this would definitely be a regular place for us. Lamb shank was amazing and huge!

Not sure what all the fuss is about here. Basically a British Indian food menu with some slight twists, not really Nepalese enough and there are better Indian restaurants in the area. On a positive note Dhal makhani pretty good. Enjoyed the atmosphere and setting but the service was slow/not quite on the ball.

I first visited with two friends back in October to celebrate a birthday. I returned with my husband and two friends a couple of months later in December. On both occasions I found the service to be friendly and polite, the menu interesting and not your normal run of the mill Indian food, the food itself was amazing and cooked fresh. They do forewarn you that food is not instant which tells me it’s not reheated in a microwave or on a stove top. I’m happy to wait when it tastes this good. No one rushes you out, it’s a lovely leisurely food experience. Would definitely recommend but book in advance. It gets busy because it’s so good.

One of the best Indians I ever had that I went on a detour to visit after a long drive. The good - Best lamb shank I have ever had and would highly recommend it if you go here. The momos were very good as well. The owner was lovely and made us feel very welcome. The bad - the samosas we were told were not spicy but definitely were and my partner cannot stand spice. So she had to leave most it. ironically the lam shank had a higher spice rating and she handled it better. One of the waiters was a bit lethargic but was friendly enough didn't seem to care either way. The neutral - the korma was very nice but quite almondy good if you like almonds. We are more of a coconut korma fan. Overall - definitely recommend this place and we will be back. Probably will bring others to experience this amazing place.

Went there with a large number of people and we shared a number of different dishes between us. It was all delicious. The owner and his staff were very friendly and attentive.

My partner and I had dinner here when we were exploring the Cotswolds. Everything we ordered was delicious (lamb something and a duck something), service was exceptional and the waiting staff were all very friendly. The only devastating thing was we were only in Dursley 2 nights and we couldn't eat here again the following night as they are closed on Mondays (fair enough, need a break sometime). Would highly recommend if you happen to be staying the night or even just passing through Dursley.

We had a delicious meal at this restaurant. I can recommend the Nepalese Tandoori Chicken, which is served with pilau rice and mango salad. The belly pork and spinach dish my husband had was also very tasty. Service is prompt and polite and prices are reasonable. This is my favourite Indian restaurant in Dursley.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience dining here while walking the Cotswold Way. It was recommended by our innkeeper and it’s easy to understand why. The service, welcome, attention, cleanliness, and above all the food were simply phenomenal. Cannot recommend strongly enough!

We had a delicious evening dinner! Our B&B host recommended The Everest and we are very happy we ate here. We were greeted warmly and offered Poppadums as a starter suggestion. Neither of us had tried them before. Light and crispy served with a trio of mango chutney, mint sauce and chopped salad (carrots, cucumbers…although I may have that slightly incorrect). We put all three on each Poppadum and enjoyed them. For mains, my spouse chose the Salmon Tikka (options are as a starter or a main). We also shared mixed vegetables and garlic naan. Her salmon was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Very tender. She said there was just a bit of spiciness but fine for her. I had the Everest Mixed Grill (Tandoori chicken breast, lamb chop, chicken tikka, and a king prawn). These were delicious and very tender with excellent flavor. The menu shows this as medium spicy and I agree…I really liked all four of them. Our host recommended the masala sauce (given our spice level preference). This came in a separate bowl so you can use to your liking. We ended up dipping our naan in it as well. We can recommend The Everest highly and commend the chef(s) and kitchen staff as well as the host. Well done!

We had a great meal The Everest - loved how it’s a little bit different from your usual curry house and the restaurant setting and ambience was spot on. Not quite 5 stars from me I’m afraid as I feel the service could be improved - there were a few young waiters that could do with some extra training. There was also nearly a 45 minute wait between popadoms and starters which was overly excessive. We would definitely return however, as the food was unique and executed really well!

We have eaten here numerous times since they opened and we have never been disappointed, It is not only the best restaurant locally, I would go as far as saying that it is the best Nepalese/Indian I have ever been to. If you like spicy authentic food, this place should be top of your list to try.
