In my day this was Barclays Bank. Now it's a coffee bar with a wide selection of attractive cakes. They could do with more seating but it's a friendly place place with good coffee.

I’ve been to espresso lounge a couple of times to do some work. Such a good place, the staff were so friendly and the coffee and food has consistently been amazing. If you bring a laptop, make sure you buy a couple of drinks and snacks!!

Perfect place on the High Street of Tring to have a relaxing coffee, and see the world go by. Has about 5 two seaters table to sit outside and for 4 people to sit near the glass overlooking high street. Good collection of tea, coffee and cold drinks in a clean place.

Just had the best banana milkshake ever, super tasty with lots of ice cream .. amazing.. wonderful and happy staff who made me feel very welcome, will certainly visit again.. a must place to visit ✅

Highly recommend The Espresso Lounge for the best coffee when visiting Tring. The atmosphere was fantastic, very friendly staff. Had some great banter with the Barista and coffee was exactly as ordered. Definitely come back again.

Wonderful and warm greeting at the expresso lounges new home. Nicely styled, great for people watching. Clean and comfortable. Staff attentive and owner greets everyone as they come in. Food was scrumptious and best hot chocolate I’ve had for a while. If you are in the area then don’t miss this wonderful lounge. Will definitely be back.

Me and my mum stopped here in-between car shopping and it was a perfect treat to keep us going. Exceptional service from the owner, he’s connected to every customer that arrives never forgets a name. We had a breakfast bagel, cappuccino & shortbread all 10/10 would definitely recommend if you’re in the Tring are

We had breakfast for 2 times. Stylish interior, good food and friendly staff. Would come back again.

It was a little too noisy for conversation in the area by the counter, but the much larger space at the back was much more peaceful. Coffee was excellent, well presented and quick to arrive. I didn't eat, hence no marks for food.

We had coffee in this establishment on a recent visit to Tring. The coffee and flapjack were really nice. However, two things were disappointing. My wife likes her coffee very weak (weaker than 1 shot) and asked for some extra hot water (the drinks were already “large”). On looking at the bill total there was a charge of £1-50 for the water. We cancelled the hot water. In all the places we have been, whilst out and around, we have NEVER been changed for a bit of extra hot water. The second point was trying to find the toilets - absolutely no signage, considering the toilets were through another seated area at the back and up some stairs (not easy to find without asking). Interestingly, the other coffee houses were quite full, but this one (which was just across the road) was almost empty (on a sunny Saturday at 11:00 am!).

Food was nice, coffee wasn't the best but id give it another try at some point.

Very cute little cafe, great atmosphere, quiet and relaxing. The staff are extremely friendly and put a smile on your face, very welcoming. I had a salted brownie which was amazing and would definitely recommend it, plus a hot chocolate with oat milk. Plenty of seating as there are extra tables out the back. Recommend a visit here!

Staff were really lovely and talkative. The bakery was nice and the hot chocolate was nice! Defo will come back for the good vibes and energy. Place is bigger than you expect with more seating round the back.

Popped on for breakfast just before 10 on Sunday. Some initial confusion over if they were serving porridge and granola options, they were. Bit on the pricy side but good coffee. The granola was very good, porridge so, so.

We popped in for a hot drink on a Saturday afternoon. We managed to find a free table and ordered drinks to stay in. They have a good selection of coffees and cakes. I had fancied a chai latte, which I was surprised to find they didn't offer, but I enjoyed my white hot chocolate very much nonetheless. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. My only complaint would be the cleanliness of the table. It obviously hadn't been wiped down since the last customers left. But it was rather busy so I can understand how it had been missed. It certainly wouldn't put me off returning, the drinks were very nice, and I have no doubt a member of staff would have cleaned the table if we'd asked. There is seating at the front of the store at street level then more tables in the back which is down one step. The toilets are at the very back of the café up several steps.

Coffee was top notch. Bought beans for home too, it was that good. Friendly service. Would highly recommend

Exceptional coffee! We ordered cappuccino & decaf latte to takeaway. It was the best coffee we had for a long while. It is very clean, great sweet selection (around 4 Gluten free cakes too) and quick service.

Trendy, great quality coffee in a modern and comfortable café. Plenty of seating. Good array of cakes and brownies, of which we had salted white choc brownie and it was the best I've had for years!!

Lovely to see this business, which started as a coffee van in a lay-by on the A41, blossoming.

What an absolute delight. The coffee is exceptional (super smooth), I had a New Yorker bagel with a side of beetroot, butternut and lentil salad, followed later by the apricot and almond cake. No faults anywhere. I took home the chocolate Cruffin and again very good. I am definitely going back next time I am in Tring

Popped into the Espresso lounge for a quick coffee while passing through Tring. Unfortunately, the machine coffee was of a very poor quality. We ordered 2 black americanos which had a burnt, dull flavor and all the signs of over being extracted. The barista was probably just having a bad day, but still, I can't recommend this place for coffee lovers! 😞

What a lovely cafe in the High Street, Tring. We’re cycling and had to have the regulation Coffee and Cake. Morello Cherry Blondie and Carrot & Toasted Pecan Cakes. Delicious. 🥰

Went here on a friends recommendation and didn’t disappoint. Probably the best espresso I’ve ever had in my life… Went in and the guy serving us was lovely, ended up buying a croissant muffin thing which was delicious. Be careful the guy there knows how to upsell, nearly walked out with my own coffee machine! Highly recommend and will be going back next time I’m in the area.

Have been here before and the coffee and cake was excellent and this visit was as good, simply excellent coffee and tried the sausage burger, well we both had one, really lovely and tasty, great friendly service. We visit Tring more often now as we love the bread in Culture bakers, so will be back next time we are in town. Many thanks to the young lady that served us.

Dropped in to try out their coffee. They're not stupid. The standard blend is a medium dark roast, suitable to the Costa lovers. Not to my taste but it will be for the majority. ...but, they also have a single origin lighter roast on and I expect there's always a lighter roast on for nerds like me. The Columbian they had at the time, like the blend roasted by The Espresso Lounge and not bought in, was fantastic. Well balanced acidity. Poured quite long it worked well both as an espresso and flat white. I tried the blend on the way out. It was well done. Not my style of coffee but you can tell it's been prepared and extracted well. A great coffee shop, likely one of the very best outside of city life. Another note. The kitchen seemed to be run with efficiency Ramsay's Kitchen Knightmares would be happy with. Bravo!

I love a chai Latte but this is unmatched at the espresso lounge, also enjoyed a brownie and ‘Cuffin’ the best mix between a cake and muffin ever, great value for money, the friendliest of staff, I’ll be back whenever I fancy a coffee and a chat 💬

What a lovely quaint coffee shop plus! I think possibly the best coffee we have ever tasted it was stunning. The owners and staff were lovely too really nice to exchange banter with. The food is delicious very flavoursome too. We even brought a coffee maker so now our coffee is nearly as good as yours! But not quite. Very delicious though brill idea i can feel an addiction coming on! Have recommended to friends incase ever in the tring area. If you are do not hesitate to pop in you will not be disappointed. It does live up to the superb reviews and here is 1 more!!

First time visit and a great experience. It gets very busy so ring ahead. Greeted well by lovely staff. A qwerky menu with great food and produce. Breakfast was exceptional with great coffee. The cakes were amazing!! Definitely looking forward to the next visit!!

Great little cafe in Tring, an easy and worthwhile detour off the A41. Plenty of parking in the car park next door. Great coffee - a place that takes its coffee seriously - and great breakfast. Scrambled eggs on sourdough toast are up there in the collective breakfast memory.

I have no problem paying for good coffee but I object too being ripped off, over a £1.00 a cup supplement for having soya milk in my coffee. Two small coffees then became over £8.00!!

Amazing food and the coffee is how proper coffee should be done.

You don't have to be a professional coffee taster to know when you are drinking a TEL coffee, it's just so much better. Add good quality food cooked well and friendly service and what's not to love. Definitely revived us after the drive from Lincolnshire

Good coffee, but cakes a little expensive

Staff were really friendly and welcoming … A great little find. There were plenty of food options whether you’re veggie, vegan or a meat eater, from great breakfasts, lunches, cakes and so much more. A clean and inviting coffee lounge, we really enjoined eating and being in this place and would definitely recommend it. 10/10 😊👍

Went for some breakfast, really friendly service. Had a breakfast bap and the avo on sourdough, both lovely. My cortado was great but the almond milk cappuccino not so… more a latte. Wouldn’t stop me from going again though.

I had an amazing experience, due to their Faema machine and expert barista. Service was exemplary, and I was made to feel at home.

I’ve visited The Espresso Lounge numerous times, and even more since March 2020, when it quickly became a lifeline. Excellent coffee just a bike ride away. Beans delivered by Aron himself on the same day order placed. So much work has gone in over the year to improve the offer and provide great products. Even fantastic takeaway meals on Fridays. This is the best place I know.

Frequent visitors, my wife and I love coming here. A lot of passion goes into their food and drink with a great selection of single origin coffee. A very passionate barista who always ensures that every visit is enjoyable! Having spoken about the business, they support a lot of local businesses or make products in-house, including the ham. Overall, great takeaway business and looking forward to sitting indoors in May. Thank you to the team and management for getting us through every lockdown.

We had a superb coffee. Staff were very kind and helpful. All great except from the price. We paid £22 for 2 coffees, 2 packaged juices and 3 pastries. A bit too much.

the above tells you all you need to know I would say but in addition, the food is very nice as well. The cooked breakfasts are ace. The food is not cheap and sometimes the owner can be a bit pushy with the cakes. However I'm a coffee lover and the Espresso lounge does the best coffee in Tring in my opinion and there are a LOT of coffee shops in Tring.
