Food portions were very generous and care taken in serving our order to our specific needs. Service was excellent to say the least. Very attentive staff. The place at the back was buzzing with people couples with a vibrant environment.

So i callled them and made sure that they are showing euro 2024 and the guy onn the phone said yes we are showing the match and you can order food and watch the match So i went. With my friend and sat there They asked me if we want seesha and we said No as we don't smoke The blonde girl whoever she was, very rude And told us that we cant sit without a seesha which we understood and left but the girl very unprofessional, no Ethics zero customer service. They should get her into basic customer service training for real. First and probably last time to visit this place

It seemed like very good pub from the outside, so we tried it, because we really wanted to taste Fish and Chips. However, staff was not kind and they do not have a beer...in a sport bar! really disappointing. But they saved it because Fish and chips is not originally in the menu, but they can prepare it for you.

Service was very good and the call button om the table is fantastic. The steak was tasty but room for improvement however half grilled chicken was on point and the soft drinks are very reasonably price.

I came here with a few friends we had a cup of tea and a few shishas, I've heard good things about this place, I've had the desserts and food is really good, so I will come back and try food and dessert here and give a more in-depth review later

The shisha is good and overall the restaurant is great except for one thing that made me give one star for everything is the customer service. Whenever I enter the restaurant I encounter a blonde waiter that always ruins the vibes for me and my friends by making us feel that we aren’t worth the work. Other than that all is good.

I want to leave my review from yesterday service because The staff is very rude and when approaching the table no smiles or greets and not welcoming. I went there with my partner and a couple. We have been told that we must order 2 shishas when Me and my friend did not want to smoke. We end up talking with the manager but he is very rude and did not use common sense in letting us have our food and drinks and payed for 2 shishas which we never smoke. I will never be back. Horrible service.

Visited The Engine for the first time and honestly i had a great experience. The food was great, the service was great, not a single thing to complain about. They also have a variety to choose from on the menu and the prices are reasonable. One of the waiters named Uzair was also really helpful and made my visit much better. I would definitely visit again soon and also recommend residents of Luton to try out The Engine.

Awfully run! Boss sits and smokes shisha after cut off time they will Literally drag the pipe out of yoir mouth and say sorry we are not licensed after 1am yet boss is smoking away Cake taste off they were happy to change to a different one They also scam tax man and demand cash only otherwise transfer to a colleague under her poor name honestly it’s just a cover up business!

Fantastic staff and a comfortable ambient environment. Special shout out to Gabriella, zubaidi and azelli who have our order ready as soon as we are through the door. Food is banging and service is top class. Must visit for anyone in the area, best in Luton with the most hospitable staff

Sunday roast dinner was delicious!

First time to The Engine, disappointed, we ordered four shisha from the premium menu, no flavour in any of them, we were told to sit at the back where the heater was on directly to our face. Drinks and food was good. But I don’t recommend the shisha

The food and the service is great especially Gabrielle who is very attentive and considerate. She is always quick to make sure we have everything we need and is also great fun to be around. Hats off to zubairy and Azairly as well for the great service that they always provide.

This place is very welcoming and caring. The girl who works there Gabrielle is very polite and entertaining. She always welcomes the customers when we enter and leave. She makes me want to come here more often and feels like home. Very satisfying and i believe more people should come here with their friends and family.

I used to come here a lot with my friends but recently started to notice how bad the customer service is. All staff are extremely busy on their phones which is totally unacceptable professional work ethics. You have to scream on top of your lungs to grab their attention! The buttons on the table are worthless and useless as the staff don’t even charge the devices to receive notifications. No smile no greetings. Specially the female worker with blonde hair. I know she can smile as she has smiled with other customers that are non Asian. She makes an extremely moody face like she is being punished to serve customers. Bless her she might be in the wrong profession.

I have never liked this place but I always get dragged to go there because of my friends. It does not matter to me how good the food and shisha is if the service is disgraceful! The service here is so appalling and finally my friends are starting to notice too. There's always favouritism towards certain customers and if you are not known well enough by the staff you are deemed unworthy of their attention! The waitress has a face of the most miserable person in the world and makes you feel unwelcome as soon as you walk in. Customer service here is non existent!

Excellent food at excellent prices and plenty on each dish....well cooked and presentation excellent. Parking nearby at 4 minutes walk. Fantastic staff and the complimentary Moroccan tea was a nice touch. Bill for a party of 6 adults very competitive and excellent value. Very hygienic and layout very good. I personally would say this is the best restaurant I have eaten at in a long time and highly recommend it. Well done to all who work there - greeters, waiters, waitresses, chefs.

Ordered from Christmas menu and received BLAND food. Asked for well done steak, received overcooked from the outside and undercooked from the inside with not even salt and pepper for seasoning let alone spices. Sour gravy. Ordered dynamite shrimps and they were also overcooked. The only good things were the mocktails.

A strange experience this. It’s a former Victorian pub but with all alcoholic drinks bizarrely excised from the menu presumably at the behest of the religious beliefs of its management. I was ushered into a small front bar area rather than the main body of the former pub itself where there are on display a bottle and glass containing fruit. I swerved both a lunch menu featuring mainly burgers and a Christmas menu to order a 300g rump steak from the main menu. It came medium rate just as asked on a vast bed of chips as well as a salad, various sauces and my second choice of a side dish of onion rings. All most satisfactory. But the mango mocktail I had ordered did not arrive until I had almost finished my steak, the waiter claiming despite the absence of alcohol it could not be served until after 1pm.

Since when did muslim fast food restaurants have a Christmas menu. Never seen one for eid festival before.

We popped in whilst staying in a nearby hotel and just happened on the place. The food was absolutely great and the piri piri chicken was better than Nandos! My partner had the steak and it was a great cut and cooked rare like ordered. The staff were friendly and if I'd had more room I definitely would have had one of their amazing looking desserts. Highly recommend!

I’ve ordered from Deliveroo but didn’t receive my fries with the order called up and they refused to acknowledge the fact that i have payed extra for them and it says it on my receipt and the app that I have picked it since it’s a requirement. The guy in the kitchen I assume was extremely rude in the background. Extremely overpriced, I payed for 2 burgers and 4 mozzarella stick £34.28 absolutely disgusting not just the price but their food as well burger is soggy and the patty was undercooked.

One of the best meals I have ever had. Staff were great. Food was amazing, had the mixed grill sharing starter was brilliant. Planning on calling in on way home from airport. My wallet is thankful I don’t live nearby by otherwise my wages would be spent here all the time. Highly recommend this place

Had double burger and chips.Burger was very nice, chips average freezer type chips but ok. Proper bun with the burger rather than brioche.

The orange juice came with full of bits and very warm,when I complained I was told that this is how it should be . There is no sense of customer service, and I will not be visiting again

Visited from up north. Great vibes and food was great - loved the magnum brownie! Shisha was 10/10 too. I found that the staff were attentive and professional. 100% recommend!

Went there today with the family. Niece ordered hotdog. Bun was stale and hard. I ordered the ribeye burger. It was raw and smelled off.Complained to staff. He said that it is supposed to be like that.Wont be eating there again. Fries were tasty.

This use to be the go to place back in the days; but in the last year or so they just seem to have let themselves down. The shisha is always good here. The quality is brilliant, and we always have a good time in that regards. Food is also decent. But it’s the staff who let them down. They’ve always been quiet/downcast, but in the past they were efficient and got the job done. Nowadays, it takes ages to flag someone down, and I find the small guy with the curly hair extremely rude. His whole demeanour and attitude stinks, and he ignores customers. We literally had to get up and go over to a server, to order something. It’s a shame because the location is good, and their product is good. If they sort their staff out again, it’ll definitely improve customer retention.

If you like steaks this is best place. They have platters in reasonable rates. Other side dishes are also good.

Staff was polite and helpful. The menu stated that the hotdogs were American and yet they were a mixture of chicken and lamb which made them taste much different from what American hotdogs would. Would help if the menu indicated that the hotdogs were made of chicken and lamb - I would have picked something else. The taste was just not right. Will try them again for other items.

Came to review this place and it was absolutely appalling if I could give 0 I would, but I can’t. Staff are rude and ignore you, came when it wasn’t even busy and was still being ignored, as paying customers it’s ridiculous to get service like this I would not recommend going here. Even if you complain staff do not care and act like nothing even happened, staff laugh and make situations awkward and clearly don’t know how to serve customers.

I ordered lamb chops and it was disgusting, they were hard and unable to chew it was tasteless. Delicious food and Reasonable prices so far in Luton. We ordered mini platter, chicken pasta, cheesy fries and Lotus cheese cake, everything was super delicious. 😋 You can order hot, extra hot, normal or lemon flavours, we ordered hot and it was on point.

Not my favourite place to go to relax but it’s okay if you’re fine with waiting to be served for about 25 minutes and not to mention the time it takes to have the food ready. With all that said it is genuinely nice to look at. Could be a bit more spacious.

COME HERE TO GET BEATEN UP BY THEIR STAFF AND OWNER Had shisha and food last night with friends, upon a little argument the staff and owner assaulted us and hit my friend with a glass bottle straight to his head, my friend is admitted in the hospital while police is dealing with the case.

Yes you heard me right, these staff member called all of their colleagues and friends beaten us like flipping goats, and the owner hit my friend with a glass bottle, police been called on them but those cowards fled the place, when police arrived and asked for the CCTV the manager refused to give the CCTV as she didn't know the password, my friend was sitting outside on the bench while half bleeding when suddenly the owner appeared and started pushing us away on the road, it was a scene to watch as there were 15 of those people and we were just 4, I hope police will take an action on them asap and this place will tear down

Love this spot for a catch up with friends My usual order is always butterfly chicken with strawberry mojito and we go for the raspberry ripple Shisha (a unique flavour). Both the food and Shisha are always to the same great standard. The food portions and drinks size is generous, and priced right. The interior is warm and welcoming, the heaters in the shack are powerful, you don’t feel cold at all. You could easily spend 2 hrs here and not realise how quick the times gone. The staff are polite, approachable and attentive. Happy to advise on flavours etc. once the orders been placed the Shisha, food and drinks arrive quickly. The coals are also regularly changed, so the quality of smoke remains consistent Make sure you bring cash, there is a cash point opposite the entrance too. Unlike the other reviews we have never been asked to pay before ordering, it’s usually on our way out.
