This place is awful …. Burnt sausage but raw in middle . Chicken n sweetcorn soup made me gag . Gave me the wrong sauce . Over all a terrible meal . The wife threw here’s away to …..dirty mushrooms that hadn’t been cleaned . Apparently rated 5 by food hygiene. Don’t believe it for a second

Tasteless food and most dishes are served in awful glutinous sauces. 'Chef' clearly unskilled and needs replacing. Won't be ordering a takeaway again until I see some 5 star reviews here to show the owners have acted to the consistently negative feedback. Chopstix is the only Chinese in Nantwich that's OK.

Utterly hideous. Dishes simply in a base of jellified gloop that looks like a cross between baby food and wallpaper paste. My picture is of 'garlic beef' - about 5 pieces of beef swimming in paste with suspect white blobs floating on the surface. Went in the bin. Would not feed this to my dog. Other dishes similarly gloopy and specked with the same white substance in dots. Wife said her Satay was worst she'd ever had. How can anyone LOOK at this dish as they pack it away for delivery and think this is acceptable?

Used to be good food - now AWFUL. Garlic & Ginger Chicken swimming in grease and enormous onion pieces - looked like large onion had just been cut into four pieces. Sesame toast made with the end crusts of loaf, burnt and hard. This was a thoroughly unpleasant meal which went straight in the bin. Total waste of money

So disappointing. Ribs dried out and salty. Pork and rice oily. ‘Crispy’ duck flabby and in a horrible glutinous sauce. One I will avoid in future.

Went there for food, thought it would be only special House rice as up to now that's all I've managed to have from Chinese takeaway as I'm gluten free. Very happy when they said they can adapt must recipes. So had special fried rice adapted and chicken and mushroom.Best Chinese I've had in ten yrs Highly recommended it

horrible food. no seasoning. I ordered the hot chilli tofu and it was literally just sweet and sour. rice tasted like it was from a plastic bag. satay sauce was very watery.

Birthday treat that was more than disappointing , my salt and pepper chilli prawns were covered in chilli powder no real chillies as you would expect and so much on it that it was inedible. The chow main was slimy and tasted like plastic. I couldn’t eat any of it. My families meals were much of the same. A waste of £45 and a very sad birthday meal. I feel like it was just thrown together with no care for who is consuming it at the other end. Will not be visiting here again EVER!!

Not happy ordered take away for 6 pm still not delivererd at 6.45 not the first time late looking to go somewhere else

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE, the food was delicious and for amazing value. The sweet n sour balls were to die for! The service was amazing will definitely order again

This was one of the poorest quality Chinese meals we have ever had from this restaurant. The Wun Tun were far too crisp & the sauce on the BBQ spare ribs was thin & watery with no flavour at all. The "Special" in Cantonese sauce had the same thin runny sauce like diluted tomato sauce. Awful! I had the special Chow Mein which was a little light in protein content and to put the final straw my wife had ordered mixed beansprout & rice noodles BUT just got a large portion of noodles...no beansprouts at a cost of £5.20 for the wrong product ! The owners really need to waken up as we will not be back again

Used over last few weeks and the meals I have had have been very good. Very polite staff taking phone order cooked well and delivered hot. To date very pleased with service.

I have been a customer for over 12 years and keep returning because the service is very friendly, fast and the food tastes great and reasonably priced.

I happened across this take away while stopping at the Co-op nearby. The food is fine but the fact is I didn’t get what I ordered. The problem with a take away is that you don’t know they’ve got the order wrong until you get home. It would put me off visiting again and if I do go back, I’ll be checking the order before leaving.

I’d never been to the Emperor before, so I thought I would give it a go! I ordered Salt and Pepper Chicken, Chicken Fried Rice, BBQ Sauce and Meat Spring Rolls. I collected and headed home. Everything seemed old and greasy! Some of the food was cold. I’d ordered BBQ Sauce and it was in fact Sweat & Sour. The Spring Rolls were literally stodge with the odd bit of sauce in - I couldn’t tell you what meat it was because there was hardly anything in there ‘shout oi when you find a piece of meat!’. Salt and Pepper Chicken - tough chunks of chicken and not a lot of it. Can see why I never bothered before, and I won’t be going again. Go to Chop Suey House, Hings, Sun Sing or Oriental Magic! Anywhere else but here!! Awful!

Absolutely the worst Chinese takeaway I have ever had. Both myself and my wife had crispy chilli chicken, no crisp in it at all, not much chicken beyond the fat. Rice tasted nothing like rice I’ve ever eaten, how can egg fried rice have a strange aftertaste? Lasted 2 minutes before it met the bin. At least the prawn crackers were ok, but £22 for 2 mains and 2 sides is not even good value for a Chinese.

The delivery was fast. I love the Asian food but I never eaten so bad in my entire life The duck whit a black hair instead..... disgusting. Rice supposed cantonais Everything disgusting..... Never again

Ordered takeaway at 5pm on New Year’s Eve knowing very well we would be in for a wait. Delivery time stated 2hrs (not an issue).By 8.30pm still no takeaway - so tried calling, nobody responded. By 9pm by husband decided to drive to collect as we had now been waiting 4hrs and nobody was answering the telephone, I tried 198 times in total. When husband arrived to collect there was around 8 people inside the very small shop ( very irresponsible during a pandemic) and around 10 people outside queuing. At 9.45pm I received a phone call from the shop saying my food was ready to collect, no apology or anything. I said it was meant to be for delivery to which we had paid for, but not to worry my husband has been queuing outside for 45minutes to collect. The only response was ‘oh yeh sorry about that’. 10pm food arrives home via my husband 5hrs after ordering, everything seemed ‘old’ as if it had been sat being kept warm for several hours. I then found a pubic hair in the chilli beef dish, which then resulted in me not eating my meal. My husband spent New Years Day with a very bad stomach and in bed. I wanted to have these issues rectified by asking politely for a full refund plus delivery charge, I was offered 20% off my next order. As you can see from my above review due to the hygiene issues I would definitely not be ordering from the shop again. The shop has since refused to respond to any of my requests for a full refund which I think due to the upset the pubic hair and bad stomach caused would be a fair way to rectify.

Pre-ordered online wasn’t a massive order: four main meals and rice to accompany it. Arrived on time to find a queue of about 10 outside and 10 inside - yes that’s 10 people inside a small waiting area in this climate! That’s another issue I’ll be raising with EHO separately! After nearly an hour standing in the cold we eventually were handed our food, no apologies no effort to make up for the delay! Food was nice but by the time I’d gotten it home the children were tired and I was fed up. I think it’s pure greed to take so many orders and be unable to fulfil them. Don’t mind delays on NYE it’s understandable but to have so many people stood out waiting in the cold is disgusting.

Being busy is good, it shows that it is popular. Making people wait for an hour outside after their food was supposed to be ready is incompetent. If I'd been told it would take two hours for my order to be ready, I'd have waited at home and not stood in the cold.

We waited over an hour in the freezing cold (-2oC) and still no food. Not even any notice of how long the food would be. Preordered to collect after an hour and still not available. Gave up and came home so we wouldn’t get hypothermia!. We will be requesting a refund.

Have used Emperor several times previously and each time been quite happy... not so this time... First off I have to say the delivery was quite quick.The food arrived with our t one of theMains... which we then had to wait for it to arrive about 20 mins.Then my husbands ‘duck’ curry was anything but duck... he thinks it was chewy pork.All in all a disappointment we will not be repeating

Awful inedible meal. Beef was off and will be reported to FSS. Avoid if you want to prevent getting ill.

Having used this takeaway for a number of years we thought that we would use the delivery service. We were not disappointed with the service and quality of the food. It arrived very quick and was piping hot. Well worth it as we did not want to risk going for it. And the quality and size of portions was excellent. Will be using this service again. Many thanks

We have used the emperor relatively often Andy have never had any issues with the food being great tasting and a good range of options. However lately I’m not sure if they’ve hadn’t a new chef or not but the food has become either very bland, over powered by chilli or both! Salt and pepper chips have been completely tasteless. We will be looking elsewhere from now on

This is a busy takeaway. The food is good and reasonably priced. Service is excellent. I have used it several times and have no complaints

Trade descriptions? The sauce was thin and watery.The Beef Szechuan sauce was thin watery and nondescript. Tasted just like sweet and sour which I dislike.We noticed white granules in a couple of the other meals. MSG or undissolved thickening agents.Altogether a big let down for what was intended to be a family treat

I called in to place an order for a range of starters and a king prawn with mixed veg (order value over £30). The food was presented after 5 mins wait which I was a little surprised by. The starters (including crispy duck, bbq ribs and a deep fried combination. The starters were very disappointing, dry and obviously cooked hours before. The Main was tasteless but of more concern was a dead house fly found in the sauce. I called the restaurant to complain and refused compensation as this is a food hygiene issue. I have reported to the Food Standards Agency.

Really disappointed with my takeaway last night... Spend between £20-30 here a week and have done for a number of years, I’d have thought this would have meant the Chinese had some loyalty to its long standing customers but clearly not.I called to complain after the chicken omelette (which i’d Specifically asked for no onions / salt on) had come as a pure onion omelette with PINK chicken in it. All meals were either well undercooked or over cooked... when I called the woman who advised she was the acting manager laughed down the phone and said “well we cook everything the same as always” offered no sort of discount / refund and was RUDE. After telling her we come every weekend she wasn’t bothered that she would be losing our custom and was still not willing to listen to feedback. She talked over me throughout the call and even started shouting at one point. Such a shame; been coming here for nearly 10 years.

I rated this Take Out very highly 12 months ago but the food has gone down and down in my opinion so I will not being going back.Portions have reduced, prices increased and quality is very poor. The use of MSG in the dishes makes my body react..not to mention the thirst suffered. The use of MSG in Chinese cooking is to enhance the flavour, the amount this place uses is to fool your taste buds into believing what you are eating is delicious.. don’t be fooled.. the quality of produced is very poor, the thought of this place makes me feel sick.Have on the last 3 occasions asked them not to put MSG in the food...they have ignored my request..Bu’ Hao.

Ordered takeaway - noodles, pineapple chicken and spring rolls - came to £11.50 - they hadn't offered prawn crackers as they did to other people so I asked if I could have some only to be informed they are given after spending £12 - I was so shocked that I didn't say anything but in hindsight wish I had being only 50p away and the fact that it doesn't say that little rule ANYWHERE on the menu! The lady at the counter was so rude and made me feel very embarrassed so I shall not be returning any time soon. I have had prawn crackers before and spent less so I have no idea where this came from. If you want - and value - customer service. Don't go here! It's also over priced.

Ordered a takeway. Lemon chicken so hard you could smash a window with it. Undercooked, white prawns and chicken. Took 3 days for the "manager" to phone me with an offer of a credit of £5.60! I have photos of the prawn as it was so disgusting. Totally outrageous attitude even when I went to see them face to face. I will be reporting them to H&S Do not visit.

We stayed at Willow’s farm we had our food delivered by a very friendly Chinese lady she was lovely so was the food thank you very much keep up the good food MR & MRS Evans CAERPHILLY 😄👌

Been going to this Chinese for years with both family and friends! The food is always amazing quality and very tasty. Staff are helpful and lovely! Always chatting to you while you wait. Food is always quickly cooked and quickly delivered.

We phoned through an order to the Nantwich shop collected 16 mins later and it was as always very very good and great value I hope all we locals support the business and it's always friendly staff

We ordered a single set meal for 1 for £9.50 only. Excellent value for money, this provides prawn crackers, 8 veg spring rolls, a large quantity of mixed fried rice & sweet & sour chicken. But the owners were flexible enough to allow a different dish instead of sweet and sour chicken! There's plenty of parking space and the interior of the takeaway is spacious & clean; the precinct also had a Subway, Co op supermarket and a pub opposite. Credit card payments are allowed though there's a cash machine in the adjoining Co op.

We ordered the food as a family with children.

Have been going here for many years whilst living within walking distance. Never had a bad meal and it's always hot and freshly cooked. The staff are always friendly. It can get busy in here especially on a Friday and Saturday night.

this really is the best take away around, great food and good prices.The deep fried combo is a family favourite

The Emperor is a great carry out place, they have two take-away outlets in the Crewe and Nantwich area so you have a choice! both excellent, perhaps not the cheapest take-away but one of the best in the area, and good value for money. They have a wide choice on their menu with quick collection times (15mins the last time I ordered from them), they will even supply you with disposable chopsticks if you ask for them which is handy if your in the Travel Inn that shares the same carpark.

Really good food lots of choice not the cheapest but worth the money, make sure you book a collection well in advance on a Saturday

This is our regular takeaway. We have tried most things on the menu and are always happy. Good value too Would recommend

En mi opinión este es superior a china para llevar a otros en la zona la comida se prepara y, a diferencia de algunos de los sabores no son deplorables

Hemos tenido comida para llevar de aquí, en el pasado, y quedamos encantados con ellos sin embargo, ya que queríamos una pizzería entregado tuvimos que llamar por teléfono la sucursal de Crewe. Era domingo por la tarde y muy concurrido como pedimos a las 7.30 pm y nos dijeron que una hora de espera que resultó ser unos 80 minutos. Esto no fue un problema y la señorita que entregan se disculpó y muy agradable. pato crujiente era excelente - gran parte y un montón de panqueques, etc. El mejor que hemos tenido en mucho tiempo sin embargo, los otros platos (no recuerdo exactamente lo que estaban) pero 1 era curry de verduras y otros 2 eran el rey gambas platos y un plato de verdura temporada eran simplemente insípido. absolutamente insípido y fuimos en la papelera. No estoy seguro de si era un como estaban muy ocupados o no, ya que lo habían recomendado unos amigos que habían tenido una buena comida entregado unos pocos días antes en la semana, pero no lo suficientemente bueno y aparte de el pato una pérdida de dinero.

We go here on a regular basis and absolutely love it. Portions are generous and the prices are good. Would recommend to all!
