The Laurel chinese take away I been, food wasn't cooked and was unclean we felt stomachaches. The shop is in fact quite dirty and sticky. Hygiene looks poor. Delivery driver wasn't wearing any mask and seems no one wear mask in the shop.Since we dont feel good particularly with the oily sauce,I won't recommend this one for anyone.

Food ordered online, alwasys delivered earlier than advised and always Hot and Tasty. They have removed my favourite meal which was Pekin Chicken but that does not deter me from trying other food on their menu, Excellent Quality

Friendly staff but food not up to scratch. Egg fried rice was very dry and main meal was tasteless. Won't be returning.

Ordered food for three online. Told to expect delivery in around 50 minutes. Fine. 50 minutes came and went. The delivery actually turned up one hour and 15 minutes after the estimated time, and stone cold. Driver said they were having a busy night. We heated the food up and it really wasn't worth the wait.

Hong Kong street food was excellent. The ribs were by far the best I've had, no fat and lots of meat, tender and great sauce.Chicken wings were freshly cooked and a good size, the salt and pepper was not over powering as is the norm else where.Extremely impressive and way better than many restaurants. Well done guys.

Not sure why The Laurel doesn't have it's own page but after giving a mediocre review a few years ago, I needed to give a new review after tonight's fantastic meal!We've recently visited Hong Kong and very much enjoyed the tasty street food. I remembered seeing Hong Kong street food on a local menu and searched google for it tonight. We ordered some fried chicken dumplings, Thai beef curry, veg noodles and value box. What a fantastic selection of food. Incredibly well cooked, full of flavour and brought back our memories of our recent trip. Thank you so much for our wonderful meal!We would order here again without doubt.Highly recommend the quality of all our meals

Duck was cold pancakes hard. Cucumber and spring onion not at all fresh. Other food ok. When called to complain was told that this could not be right duck wasn't cold cucumber fresh chinese lady argued not good at all.Won't be ordering again

Ordered from the laurel last night, and really enjoyed it, girl on the phone was really helpful and helped with swapping some items which was no trouble, the food arrived quickly and was hot and fresh, it tasted great too,I ha eaten salt and pepper from all over but this was the best,I will deffinatly be using the laurel as my go to Chinese now after trying others in the area, this really is the best.

So so cross. We order from here most weeks and never have an issue. Tonight order was wrong, by the time they finally answered the phone we had eaten it and given up. £36 on a rubbish tea, it was poor and so salty. When they finally answered the girl who answered Just said right. No offer to resolve or refund. Won’t be ordering again

We have just enjoyed a Chef's Special and another dish from this takeaway . The whole meal was very good , freshly cooked (including the chips ) and delivered hot less than 45 minutes after ordering . Given the mixed reviews on this site , we weren't expecting anything special . Indeed , if our usual takeaway , The Canton Kitchen , had bothered to answer the phone , we wouldn't have ordered from The Laurels and would have missed a very enjoyable meal.

Takeaways are always going to be inferior to restaurants. Something to remember when reviewing.Just got Salt and Pepper chicken pieces. Freshly cooked, big pieces and quite tasty. Big portion too. Also had the Spare Ribs in OK sauce. A little chewy but not fatty and not bad all all.I think overall, this is one of the better takeaways I have used. So well done Laurel. I think some of the reviews here are either overly critical or the place has improved.

We ordered a set menu for 2. Arrived within 20 mins hot & plenty of food, however the meat was slimy & tasteless. The chips looked & tasted like chips from the night before. Safe to say it went in the bin & we will not be ordering again

We've tried a few Chinese restaurants in Sandbach since moving here a year ago and still disappointed not to find a good one. This is the best one we've had here but it was just ok. Food quite bland and the duck was very over cooked. I struggled to find much meat, and I like my crispy duck, crispy! Delivered on time but we won't be returning, sorry.

It is my first visit to the new takeaway the laurel and I rarely write reviews. only when exceptional or terrible. This was exceptional. I liked the crispy duck and the satay chicken skewers. They were delicious.

First visit to the new owners. The Laurel. An absolute disgrace!! First we placed order then waited and waited and waited. Telephone orders taken, other orders taken over counter. Then we waited and waited. Our taxi sat outside 20 mins while we waited. Other orders arrived and were collected. Again we waited. Eventually, got our order. 40 mins after ordering it.Got home take a look. Inedible!!! Order was wrong, stone cold and disgusting. Rang up to complain. Lady argued over the phone blamed us. Chinese spoken voice in background shouting behind her. Avoid this place!!!! Lived here 4 years. Absolutely loads of better Chinese takeaways around.

Inedible. Been twice now, had to throw it away for the first time ever. Not going there again. Plenty of others in town.
