The perfect takeaway for the chain-smoker in your life…if however you don’t smoke, avoid this like the plague as it tasted like an ash-tray. Terrible customer service when we tried to give them this feedback. Looked grim when it arrived, tasted worse. Binned the whole thing and ordered from somewhere else

Ribs were tiny, not a clue what the spring rolls were supposed to be, one huge pile of mush that tasted like plastic. Not impressed at all.

Can be very hit or miss with this place.

Can’t even cook bog standard chips, undercooked for the most part with very few actually cooked all the way through. Wanted a simple tea on a Friday night after a week at work, very disappointing especially for the price!

Bought sweet and sour chicken with fried rice. Yuk. Rice was very gloopy, not fried. and tasted more like pudding rice. Hence it went in the bin. Really gone down hill this place. Shame.

This was the worst take away I’ve ever had. Chicken just had this awful texture like it was old and over cooked. Sausage was severely over cooked, wish I had taken a photograph now, but I’m just reflecting on exactly how bad it all was and felt it necessary to write a review. Chip portion was half of a normal chip portion size. Curry sauce was watery. This place needs to close down now. Some new eager dynamic people need to set up a decent Chinese takeaway or chippy instead. I will not be ordering from here again.

Always stuck by this place but after a raw meal and raw veg meal and having the audacity to complain I won’t be ordering again. They apologised and asked me to return their the food which was ready to be exchanged and duly wrapped they then called to say sorry it wouldn’t be swapped?. No explanation just an apology from the polite person to be fair on the phone. Very strange , a lost customer for not eating and exchanging their initially admitted inadequacies. People wonder why others go further afield when being local for chinese. Shame

Ordered a delivery. Only chose the Golden Lantern because they delivered. Had to order online and tbh it was a messy process. We wanted chow mein but you have to have boiled rice, chips or plain noodles with it?? And we wanted a veggie chow mein and a chicken chow mein so we ended up with side dishes that we didn't really want. The delivery took nearly two hours from ordering. There is no acknowldegment of your order (even though they have a mobile number) and no clue on how long it will be?? The food was good, not great. Fairly bland and with all the side dishes (there were four of us) we ended up with too much, which was a shame. Best bit was it was delivered. Fairly pricey, but lots for your money.

Absolutely rubbish got wrong order twice after its been delivered had to go back twice food all ended up cold in the end they said we'd get money back but didn't don't recommend at all

Omg the worst chicken and sweetcorn soup ever! Big chunks of chicken in a thick jelly tasteless liquid??? Can't believe they can sell this to people! Nice staff tho!

The staff are friendly & delivery prompt. However chicken & black bean sauce had more onions in it than chicken & was not very warm let alone hot.

I have ordered a take out several times. The sweet and sour chicken is to die for. A take out is now my weekly treat! The salt and pepper chips are also a must!

Absolutely delicious food! I had sweet and sour veg with egg fried rice. Best I've ever tasted! Quick delivery and friendly driver. Will definitely be ordering again!

Absolutely awful ribs swimming in oil as if they’d been deep fried in it, everything else tasted bland and left a funny taste in your mouth. Do t waste your money

DON’T COME HERE squid is rubbery and cold, rice stuck together, undercooked chicken, dry duck, barley any hoisin, curry had solidified by the time it was open, packages were bagged upside down so sauce leaked in car. £30 down the drain dominos ordered.

Absolutely dreadful and not for the first time. Will not make the mistake of ordering from here again. Order delivered yesterday evening (20-08-21) Sweet and Sour chicken. Watery sauce, tasteless. Fish, chips, peas and curry sauce. What can I say? Pale, cold, greasy chips. Tiny fish which I think was on the turn. Very dry peas. Watery tasteless curry sauce. They have some nerve to be offering food of such a disgusting standard. Not worthy of the 1 star !!

Have had food from here 3 times lately and first time spare ribs were chewy and just fat? The second time Singapore vermicelli was undercooked and tasteless and the third attempt was tonight beef curry and rice. The soles on my shoes are more tender. Terrible. I would strongly recommend not eating there as the owners are taking the Micheal. Will never eat there again

Had a delivery from these guys and I was less than impressed Order was done online and took an hour to deliver which was good Order arrived and we ordered a Lemon Chicken which was confirmed on the online order but they delivered orange chicken so there's one meal that was wasted We also had A Cantonese style filet steak and sweet and sour chicken. These two dishes were also not eaten as there was a horrible after taste. Boiled rice was very sticky. Will not be returning

Chips were disgusting and cold. Tasted like the day before warm ups and the steak and kidney pudding was ransid and cold Took one mouthful and tasted as if had gone off. Overall disgusting and cold. Fit for the bin only.

Me and my little boy are gluten intolerant and they are fantastic at providing for us. Best tasting Chinese in Knutsford and they deliver. Highly recommend.

David the owner what can I say..... awful or should I say non existant customer service and awful cold food. We have just paid for a few meals from here nothing major but still a few meals one meal being chips sausage and gravy (sliver of gravy may I ad), I live 2 minutes away so how did my food get so cold from leaving the shop to home if it was freshly cooked. After speaking with Lisa who was helpful and understanding she informed me that the owner said for me to bring the food back... Why should I go out of my way to correct their errors especially after just completing a 50 hours week at work. I will never eat from here again nor will I reccomend it to anyone.

Used to be the Best takeaway in Knutsford. Last time i went the fish potion had halved. Absolute rip off .Will never go back .Better use the Golden Flower in Mobberly.

Robbing sods my mother paid for Salt-N-Pepa chicken nuggets and chips for me to be delivered to my work, you charged me for it when it was already paid for and won’t refund the money the food was disgusting and cold. I will never order from you again. Really disappointed

The fried rice is a tad dry and there's not much sauce in the sweet and sour chicken. Otherwise, lovely food at fairly good prices

Free delivery, cheapest fish and chips in Knutsford and they aren't bad either! The Chinese food is a bit pricey, but it is fine.
