What an absolute shame. I can honestly say that I have ordered from here multiple times in the past with nothing but praise but.... not recently. Can't possibly put in to word how unlike previous meals this was. Our starter was far too greasy and the soup portion too tiny. The duck was mostly fat and bone and we felt unable to enjoy our main due to the poor quality of the rest of the meal. Really sad to say this wasn't great as would love to support local businesses but this wasn't great on many levels.

I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, the whole thing was so tasty. Beef chow mein, bbq ribs, rice and sweet and sour sauce, I could eat it all again if I could it was so delicious, delivered hot in good time, very pleasant delivery driver who double checked my order to make sure it was all there before he left it, you don’t get that sort of service from many, I will definitely be going back

We have used this take away quite a lot over the years . However on todays visit the food was cold and to chewy to eat . we ordered crispy chilli beef crispy chilli chicken. the chicken was okay the beef however, was dry overcook, discoloured And inedible when I phoned to complain. He just stated this is how we do this with no apology offered . I did a collection with no preorder and to my surprise it was ready within a couple of minutes I question this and was informed that was how quick they could cook it , no way it could have been cooked fresh it was absolutely disgusting ended up in the bin will certainly be never using that take away again

DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY!! Ordered at 19:09 for delivery. Phoned at 20:19 to see where the food was to be told the driver is out but has other deliveries first. I said I wouldn’t pay for the food if it wasn’t hot to which the owner stated the driver has “warm bags” and to give him a bit longer. Upon delivery I checked the food before paying and it was lukewarm at best. I told the driver I wouldn’t be paying full price to which he beckoned me to bring the food back and he left. I phoned the takeaway to which the owner said they would re-cook it. Will never use this takeaway again.

ordered on uber eats. i waited over an hour before i got a notification saying that my address is “too far away”. if my address is too far away why would you let me order it? i got told i would get a refund which i NEVER DID. bare in mind this place is not cheap either. avoid at all costs

Waited and collected an order for us and got home and the food was barely warm and tasteless Very poor quality First and last time going here !!! Avoid folks

For those who like particularly strong and spicy asian cuisine this may not be for you, I personally found the sauces to be very mild and lacking in flavour. The chicken was very soft but the 'satay' sauce was like cornflour thickened water.. It did come in the time stated and was nice and hot, and the driver was very friendly. But I wouldn't classify this as traditional chinese cookery and consequently I will not be ordering again but I wouldn't condemn the place.

Had a delivery from this place this evening and all I can say is it was tasteless absolutely tasteless, it was awful, definitely won't be returning customers.

On a weekend away and looking for a hot evening meal this takeaway was perfect. Easy to park, clean, fast service, hot tasty food.

Again this take away is hot and miss, sometimes the food is good and then the next it’s awful, tonight it was very poor. The salt and pepper spare ribs were dry and I am sure they are from the day before!! Salt and pepper chips were bland no pepper. To be honest this is the last time I will try this takeaway because you never know what your going to get and we have had too many poor quality meals it’s not worth the risk. When you complain they just say next time you come in they will give you something free , never refund. My advise to the owner get a new chef. My advise to the chef don’t send poor food out !!

Spent over £39 - 4 main courses plus extras 2 main courses bland did not get eaten also had sharing starter chicken wings inedible. Rang to express my disappointment to be told sorry. Worst chinese takeout we have had ever.

No longer a good takeaway. The quality of the food has fallen considerably with the sauces for the dishes being very thick and unappetising. Thought it was a one off, but have tried twice more and it was the same.

We had friends visiting who love Chinese food so we treated them to a takeaway from the Emperor. The food was really tasty and plentiful. The crispy shredded chicken in chilli sauce was my favourite - just the right amount of heat to make it tasty but not so much that you then can’t taste anything else.

The sweet and sour balls were tough and obviously been refried. The king prawn curry was watery and tasted of ginger which was overwhelming. I threw it away. I won’t be going again.

Fantastic food, more than once. I am very pleased. Very much happy. Very full. Very satisfied with the 15 minute delivery time from ordering online. Recommend this restaurant very strongly.

daughter wanted a chinese takeaway for her birthday and our usual place was shut,so we thought we'd try The Emperor.It was 8pm so not late. Wow,they do not do chop suey dishes for a start,so went for a chow mein, not the worst but bland. Also salt n pepper chicken,which was dried up and just covered in red spicy powder with no salt or pepper that any of us could taste just very hot spice, seaweed which nobody can ruin,rice-very bland,beef and broccoli- average at best. Curry sauce was like a blob of set jelly. On the whole we were really disappointed,cost almost £50 and we didn't get any prawn crackers which most places give with any order.Definitely would not recommend,expensive is not always better quality.Avoid if you want decent food.

Friendly, helpful staff, fast delivery but the food is so inconsistent especially the fried rice dishes.
