Met a friend here for lunch and had a very good experience: the staff were very attentive with nothing too much trouble, food was lovely with a good range of choices. It had nice decor with a cosy stove

The food was second to none, the service was excellent, the only down side was being placed next to a table who had a dog that barked constantly, we were unable to hear each other talking, I did asked I they would mind putting their dog back in the car and got a mouth full of abuse. Not very nice.

First visit for a long time. Had one of the specials, but the main menu was equally tempting so I'm hoping to go again next time there's a special occasion.

We have been for lunch.... We had Lasagne & Gammon Steak. both meals were very good quality and large portions. The salad that came with the gammon steak was very nice. Lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff.

This is a real hidden gem, our first visit but not the last. Food was fabulous, huge portions, staff really lovely and first class service. A special thank you to the young lady looked after us, we were a table of six, with a birthday cake. She was really friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend you give this place a try.

Went on 16th of Feb to celebrate Valentines night. Lovely food as usual, great service but very disappointing steak choice. The choice was sirloin, 8oz, take it or leave it. They used to have several choices including a tomahawk, but these were now absent. If you want a steak, I suggest you go to a different restaurant with more choice than just one.

We had the Moving Mountain Burger, and it was the best vegan burger we have ever had

We stopped here by chance on our way down south. It was a busy Sunday lunchtime and we expected to be turned away as we hadn’t booked however the staff were so accommodating and we got a table immediately. We opted for the carvery and have to say it’s the best we’ve ever had. 3 choices of meet. Beef, gammon and pork all cooked superbly. Credit to the chef and his team as well as the staff who made our last minute stop-off a fabulous experience.

Enjoyed our visit, it is popular and there for quite busy, so the staff are busy. But good food, plenty of it.

Arrived 12:55 and sat at a table in the snug. Asked for a menu at the bar and told they would need to check the table was not reserved. Told it was not so ordered drinks and a main meal. At 1:15 told the we would have to vacate the table by 2 pm and the meal would arrive shortly. Meal arrived at 1:35 so forced to rush the meal with no time for desert. This used to be one of our go to places for a meal, not any more.

Food alright however some Chucky chips were not cooked fully. Bar staff need to learn how to pour a simple glass of coke.

We met our friends Cheryl, Mick, Angela & Richard for lunch. It was very busy. The food is good, home cooked and tasteful. Everyone was pleased with their food. We also had teas/coffee. Service was friendly and helpful. A good occasion.

Went as part of a large party for Sunday lunch. Service was very good and attentive, atmosphere welcoming, good range of drinks. However it as the food that made the day. I can honestly say it was the best carvery I have ever had, hope to go back very soon.

Not what it was. The food was OK if extremely samey. There's nothing that shouts out individuality, and you could write the menu before seeing it . The atmosphere is becoming more motorway services than cosy country pub. They have added tables everywhere even cutting into the bar area which always served as a decent bar previously. As a local, its properly disappointing. Service was good although the waiters didn't know the specials and the board was too far away to see. Surely every restaurant starts each shift with a briefing on such things?

Been for Sunday lunch today. All the food is home cooked and the mist lovely Sunday lunch carvery. And fantastic gravy. Staff so helpful. Will be back

Generally good reviews so we thought we'd try it. Looking forward to going. The outside looks tired and the inside definitely is. Poor atmosphere. Wanted to chat over lunch so had 4 starters, sort of tapas style, done it many times elsewhere. Prawns were overcooked, field mushrooms inedible, humous strange and coated deep fried brie a cheap commercial thing. Left most of them. Coffee was equally poor. In defence the place was nearly full and diners appeared to be enjoying large main courses.

Our first time dining at the elm at heath. A lovely atmosphere and friendly welcome by all the staff. The carvary was delicious and everything fresh. We particularly liked that we where called up to the carvery, rather than having to queue. We are new to the area and will definitely be calling in again with the family and dog.

Lovely food & great friendly service. Christmas beef meal really good.

Been to this local pub for Sunday lunch many times and yet again, today it didn't disappoint. Booked a table for a family of 3, arriving 10 mins early for our meal. Shown to our table and after looking at the menu, we all decided the Sunday dinner was for us. Choice of 3 cooked meats, with roast potatoes, Yorkshire puds and plenty of choice of veg. Topped off with the possibly best tasting gravy you'll pour over your meal, ever. Beavertown Neck Oil for me, Proseco for the lady & Coke for the junior. Very attentive, pleasant, nice & friendly staff. We will be back, as there is nothing not to like. 100% recommend.

We came last Sunday for a carvery which was delicious, HOWEVER… after dinner I went into the gents toilets and was followed in by one of your young chefs who was still wearing his apron. He then went into the cubicle to do his business - all whilst still wearing his apron!!! (Which he is then taking back into the kitchen to do food prep!) To be honest, this made me feel quite sick, I’m not sure if we’ll be returning again.

Amazing! We booked a table for 15 people for my daughters birthday. On arrival the staff were very welcoming and showed us to our table. Throughout the night the staff was very polite and always there when needed. The food was amazing, and was all 15 dishes were served together. Cannot recommend this pub enough. They have a great menu at flood prices, cooked to perfection and a really good bunch of staff. Thank you all.

Food was lovely, service was slow but lovely people. The only really negative thing was all the nats and little flies flying round very very annoying!

This pub serves excellent food, with an interesting range of choices, generous portions, and quick service. We sat outside with our dog in lovely weather. Dogs are allowed in the bar inside. The only downside was the tinny music failing to distract from the road noise from a nearby bypass. Having said that, I'd definitely go again.

We wanted to try somewhere new for carvery and they didn’t disappoint. Staff were super friendly, the pub was clean & tidy. Carvery was perfect! Definitely recommend to book online if you can as it is very popular.

Nice place! Awesome views over the countryside! The outdoors area must be fantastic, if the sun ever shines!! Had 1/2 rack of BBQ ribs, & meat & potato pie, was almost as good as mine!! 👍😁

Service was very slow. Had to ask them to remove plates after waiting 30 mins. Table sticky that the menu stuck to it.

Amazing place to chill next to the wide window with a view on a castle. Food is delicious, served fast. Only one minus - dirty catlery. Overall, nice pub to visit regularly.

Food okish but forgot my garlic pizza bread. Took menus away so could not check but did so when we got home. We all agreed it was ok but we would not go back.

I had a vegan cream tea. Coffee with oat milk. However, the cream tea was very low standard. The 3 triangle sandwiches consisted of , vegan cheese on dry bread, 3 slices of cucumber on dry bread, a teaspoon of mashed advocado on dry bread. There was no vegan cream with the scone. Most people are aware Elmlea do vegan cream and most margarines are vegan.Theres also flora type butter. Very poor.No imagination. The chef should talk to the Chef at Crewyard Cafe Cuckney.Now ,that lady knows how to cook vegan . Her creations are amazing. Sorry Elm Tree your staff were lovely and you are in a lovely setting but for people with food allergies your a no no.

I have just bought 3 pizzas all of which were all were burnt black at the bottom. I understand these are wood fired but should not be burnt and like charcoal underneath. I will not be recommending your service, very slow, and £7.80 for 2 glasses of Diet Coke while waiting for the takeaway. What a rip off for the Diet Coke and the pizzas.

9 ladies went on Friday the 23rd of June 2023 birthday celebration All food ordered came out at the same time,nice n hot, I had their home made lasagne absolutely delicious! The veg was good too in fact we all had different food which was all good as well,9 very satisfied ladies,the staff are very pleasant They also have an excellent specials board to choose from too,we will certainly go there again can highly recommend it.good menu! What a nice stop on my mountain bike beautiful place and nice tasty new York deli baguette . Good value too and the potato wedges are out of this world

Huge portions of lovely food (I had gammon and chips and it came with salad, loads of onions, mushrooms and tomatoes). The service was really freindly and quick and the room very pleasant in a pub like way. They were very helpful with my gluten free diet too.
