Great eggless cake, ordered due to allergies but honestly couldn't tell the difference even nicer than cakes with egg.

I ordered a Red Velvet Rose cake with a handwritten message. The cake itself was gorgeous but it is mostly cream and air, and not a lot of sponge, which was disappointing as I had wanted a red velvet cake.

Great vegan cakes and have great after test not like other ones cakes had great icing also tastes normal

Stale as ever could hardly bite Into it. The variations a simply a vanilla cupcakes with a piece of something that sets it apart from others. Cookie and cream was a vanilla cupcakes with a Oreo on top.. bueno chocolate was a vanilla cupcakes with a chocolate on top.

The staff who gave us cake did not package it properly so when it was put in bag it smashed. We asked her to help us fix it because it was obviously heir fault for not closing lid on cake box, she said we would need to purchase a new cake entirely. I actually called them again because I thought it wasn't fair that they did that to us even though the cake was damaged because of them. Really disappointed becuase we always buy cakes from them but he person who packaged it today didn't do it properly so definitely their fault. The women on the phone was just arguing saying that they can't do anything about it even though it was their fault and the cake was smudged before leaving but only Noticed when got in my car. It's really disappointing, didn't even offer to take cake back in and create a new one which is really bad service. She jsut insisted for us to buy a new one which I thought wa crazy because if it was my fault I would understand but because it was their fault because the women didn't package it properly now the cake was damaged. The women did not even apologise.

I don't know how taste other cakes from them but cheese cake it's not cheese cake no I dia. It's not cheese taste horrible looking good but taste not like cheese no understand how can be this for sale never again.

We’ve purchased cakes here a few times and they are a family favourite. Nicely baked light cakes with cute decorations. Last week we purchased two slices and the server put them both in the same box. My son asked for them to be in two boxes (one slice was going to someone else) but this was refused. I asked him to go back into the shop and ask again but the server just put another box into the bag. You guessed it, one slice got dropped when we tried to put it into the other box. Frustrating and a waste of money.

I ordered a birthday cake from cakebox via Uber eats when my oven broke and I was unable to make my daughter a birthday cake. Within 40 mins I had a fresh, personalised birthday cake in my fridge and it was delicious!

All the cakes looked amazing so after shopping in st johns we went back to get a couple of cakes to take home. I wish I'd saved my money because they were honestly the worst tasting cakes I've probably ever had. Almost no flavour and far to much squirty cream! The Victoria sponge was basically just cream on cream. After trying both cakes and disliking we realised they were no egg cake. Maybe that is the reason that they were so bland, but who knows. Either way I won't be returning

Purchased a cake from cake box Wolverhampton which was great quality, good design and generous in size. I would highly recommend. I pre-ordered and paid in the shop, it was ready on time for collection.

What's the point of charging extortionate prices for delivery when you can't even meet the time frame? Ordered for a cake to be delivered at 3 to 5pm and at 5pm called and the driver hasn't even arrived to pick up the cake! The person on the phone has no customer service training, no apology or explanation as to why the cake wasn't even picked up yet and can't even give an estimate of delivery time. Paid £14 for delivery and now its missing the event! Terrible customer service. Overpriced for what it is !

I bought 3 kinder bueno slices and a red velvet slice on 20th Oct and they were all tasteless and bland. The chocolate and sweets on the top of the cakes were stale. Not impressed considering I paid nearly £12 for the 4 slices. I at least expect them to be fresh.

The worse Cakebox store ever. Worse experience. they took an order for collection from 4pm on a Sunday knowing full well that their store closes at 4pm. No one thought it was wise to notify the customer that the store closes at 4pm. First they call on a Saturday saying the cake was ready for collection. I advised that my collection was the next day Sunday and I was coming from 4pm the person that took the call did not think to mention that the store closes at 4pm. I turned up at the shop only to meet a closed shop. I called to speak to the manager the next day and I found the conversation very defensive that there was nothing they could do because the shop doors has their closing time. Why would you take an order for collection at 4pm if you close at 4pm? No duty of care to their customer

Worst cake box Birmingham Stratford road got them to make a photo cake. They had no black ink in their printer and when they printed the photo out everything that was black came out white i.e hair. I pre ordered my cake 5 days before. The staff did not believe me that the poor quality of the photo on the cake was was down to the printer ink. Instead they said that that's how it's meant to be.

These cakes aren’t fresh and after picking a box it’s fair to say they all taste the same inside! The Oreo one had a soggy biscuit in the cream...the sponge was quite dry, thankfully mountains of cream to help it go down. Don’t think it’ll be a regular purchase!

Rang to order a cake over the phone. Rude unhelpful member of staff telling me to ring her back once I’d looked on her website and told her the exact code of the cake I wanted!! An explanation of me just wanting any small square cake was not enough...rude/unhelpful/no customer skills!!!

I ordered a pikachu cake for my son birthday, I was left disappointed because not only the sponge was dry and hard the cake did not look freshly made as if it was sitting long.

I severely regret going to this store and were only going for a quick snack after going to cafe craft (which is amazing I might add) and it seemed reasonably quiet for 3:00pm in the evening.My friend recommended me to go because she had had many birthday and annerversay cakes from this store so I had very high expectations from this store.the customer sevice was excellent when we arrived and were greeted with a smile and and a small good morning and that was about it as she did not seem to speak English.Me and my friends ordered two chocolate orange slices and an Oreo slice which looked very appetising from the shop window.When we got to my house we tucked in right away and were extremely disappointed when we took the first bite as we immediately spat it right back out again as it tasted very dry and crumbly. Luckily me and my friends were not allergic to anything in them as the ingredients were not stated anywhere on the cake or in the shop which I find is very risky as when I looked up the ingredients online I find milk and barley in the cakes which many people are illergic to.l feel sorry for the people who have to eat that cake because they are illergic to egg.

Initially the cakes were fresh, the fruit used to be fresh, last time we bought ready make from the display 7" with fruit on top, we did ask them if was made today the stuff replied yes, but was very disappointed when start eating it, the sponge is hard and the fruits were bitter, called them on the phone the stuff sorry about this and we will look into your feedback.

These cakes are massive, extremely naughty, yet mega nice. They do slices or whole cakes. Even cakes you can have your photo on. Great for any occasion, i.e. Birthday, Anniversary or just for a treat.

Never ever again! Avoid!They do not sell fresh cakes there. I visited them on Saturday morning around 11:00 am and bought 8 peaces of different cake to celebrate birthday with my gym buddies. The peaces were not freshly made, especially the ones with pineapple. Terrible experience with management over the phone, very impolite and unprofessional person. Nothing been sorted he just made it worse!

After ordering A cake we had bought it home to find it terrible quality, the sponge was stale and grainy, and there was more cream than their was cake. the next day the cake was returned to the branch where we were then accused of not looking after the cake and given fault by the management for the poor quality of the cake. After a so called good will gesture they offered to give us a replacement cake but not the same, they offered a cake which was not even worth half the price of the original cake we purchased which was £40 and they were offering a cake worth only £15. After explaining our disatisfaction with the offer they continued the blame of us not maintaining the cake when the cake was cut the very same day it was collected.

Staff try their best to accommodate baking cakes if at short notice. Single slices also available! Especially if you are not sure which type/flavour you would like!

This was the most amazing cake I have ever tasted and without eggs! Would thoroughly recommend anyone trying this even if you are not a vegan or for religious reasons cannot eat eggs. Gorgeous

Cake box cakes have been fresh only if they are freshly made the day before and delivered to the shop and immediately sold and refrigerated on the next day. Then you should consider yourself lucky. If you complain they will turn it down and will be unprofessional about it. No matter what. The cakes are never made on premises they get manufactured elsewhere and then are sent out in batches. The only thing fresh about these cakes are the fresh cream and the writing on the cakes. Having said this like many others on this review site I've had good experience with them from time to time I have experienced grainy texture in the cakes, but simply brushed it of as a one off... However recently when I ordered a birthday cake it was a very bad hard and grainy cake so I thought I'd let them know. The woman on the phone seemed promising meaning they'd probably really feel bad about my experience and offer me perhaps something as a goodwill gesture considering I regularly purchase my cakes from them but because I was 5 days late to let them know and did not take a sample to them they said sorry we cannot do anything. I get that ok I was late. But my point is having often got my cakes from there there should be some sort of goodwill gesture but there was nothing. So no more Cakebox for me. Plus it tastes the same whatever the flavour there is only one type.(I only ever purchase from there as some family members are vegetarians) And the colours on the fresh cream are so bad it can stain yes they do tell you that but it's cheap. Also Patisserie Valerie on the other even having not been a regular customer I bought a Yule log from them it was so dry a week later I called them and they immediately sent me vouchers and on top of it all a free breakfast at anyone of their cafes. Now I never used their breakfast but that's what you call a Professional. I feel sorry for those people who don't eat eggs and are happy cakebox is there but I have also tired Cakes and Bakes from London who also do egg less cakes but the cakes are freshly baked on site. I cannot wait for them to be here and plus they have a great taste. Cakebox on the other hand don't. Very disappointed.

Amazingly delicious. No one even realised the cake was Eggless and everyone thought the cake was out of this world and wanted to know where they can purchase.

I didn't order a cake because it was egg-free, it was because I had tried their cake before and found the sponge really light and the fresh cream and fruit topping delectable. Best thing was that I ordered it on Saturday afternoon and could collect it on the following Monday....thought I may have been too late. The cake did not disappoint, hard to stop at just one slice!

Have been here before and they have excellent quality cakes for all occasions birthdays weddings etc consistently good and very reasonably priced.

This is really a very good cake shop. Very soft and spongy and everything is in proportion... You don't feel like anything missing... ordered a black forest cake and a strawberry cake.. absolutely delicious.... Would only have cakes from " The egg free Cake Box" ...

Bought a box of 12 cakes for my 30th!! Some family and friends don't eat eggs and I thought this would be perfect for them. The cakes came in a solid box, well packaged and looked pretty impressive. Quite expensive though...just under £50 for 12 cakes. They did taste pretty good though. They were also running out of vanilla sponge, so I had to have a few chocolate ones in there. Staff were friendly and helpful.

I ordered a photo cake for my daughters birthday and photo was much smaller than it should have been.. Cake pattern was different and never got the four pink roses around the photo that should have been there.. Wanted a refund really but was in a hurry so couldn't do much.. Probably wouldn't have got a refund anyway.. Really disappointed. :-(

I have tried cake from Cake Box during a friends birthday a year ago and fell inlove with it. I have been buying cakes for any occasion here since. Wide variety of designs and sizes ranging from around £17 for a small but still decent size cake (smallest - 8"). I don't personally care for the cakes being eggless (although I know some vegetarians do) but it does add to the WOW factor as they are made with no eggs. Absolutely recommend to try the cakes from Cake Box. They sell separate slices, that as far as I know are set out fresh every morning. Price for 3 of those slices is around £7.

Hi i am a mum from Rochester, and I recently purchased a cake for my daughter's birthday. She really enjoyed the very expensive Frozen cake and fed all of her friends at the party!1!! for a cake with no eggs it was very nice. however i would recommend more stores as i had to travel to gravesend which is quite a distance. other than that, fantastic product and service.

Bought a 8inch cake with a avengers logo. Real cream with jam and sponge. It did our six easy. Price was £16 which is good. Very helpful. Can be done over the phone. Or the Internet.
