Depressing and my wife’s glass had 5 sets of lippy on it. No excuse for it.

Well What a awful place,alcoholics paradise,with over priced drinks,people all being served clearly drunk and a terrible singer who thought he was funny, Never again.

Every time we visit Weymouth we just have to go here. We love it! Everyone is so friendly and the atmosphere is fantastic. Great music played either guitarist, bands or dj . Bar staff so nice and friendly which is what you need when just visiting for a few days. 10/10 and would highly recommend a visit if you like a good time !

We went for drinks there last night because we'd heard about it's good reputation for live music and we weren't disappointed! We had a brilliant evening. It was our last night in Weymouth as a family group of 5 adults. The singer/guitarist (who also works behind the bar - maybe the landlord?) did a mixture of 50-70s songs. He didn't stop singing from 8.30-11pm and he had everyone singing along. Our family was up dancing. Such a great relaxed evening. Thank you! We'll be back best time we're down.

First time was five years ago celebrating my birthday, i had a brilliant night, live music, lively atmosphere, the landlord even bought me and my friends a birthday drink, and the students who were there made me feel like a VIP, went there again minus my friends for a quiet drink and to remenisce with a quiet drink to the late landlord

Good little boozer, spit & sawdust sort of place expect no frills but good atmosphere & music

Came in here on Friday and Saturday night on the National Scooter Rally weekend ,brilliant atmosphere on the Saturday night with an amazing singer that catered for the customers, absolutely spot on the place was heaving

Small tightly packed pub with live music most nights which sadly packs in at 11. Which also seems NFW (Normal for Weymouth) as just about everything shuts early.

Great venue for live music. Really relaxed atmosphere. Friendly bar staff. We went here both Friday and Saturday nights. Saw 2 different acts. Both great singers. Very entertaining, people dancing, singing, joining in. Drinks average priced. Good selection. Arrive early if you are after getting a seat. Everyone was friendly, chatty and welcoming. Really good vibe for a pub.

Popped in whilst just strolling past with the wife and our 19 year old son who has autism for a quick drink. The staff were very welcoming and saw that i walk with a stroller and could see I couldn’t carry my drink to a table and straight away helped me. My son wanted to sit at the bar and told them a few dad jokes and really treated him with respect, then a group came n playing a mixed of rock/country music, so the one quick pint led to a few drinks and a full evening on the pub. Would definitely visit again when in holiday in the area

Popped in for a beer, mostly tap beers but do have a couple of real ales on. Staff were friendly. Music venue in the evening. Lots of music paraphernalia on the walls and ceiling. Beer was good. A little quiet when I was there. Bet it gets lively in the evening. Dogs welcome in the day time, unsure about the evening. Good visit.

The best ....live music and good company. Posh it ain't but there's nowhere else in Weymouth that compares. It's just an uncomplicated boozer. Long may it last.

Felt the singer depended too much on backing tracks. He was a good singer & possibly a good guitarist, would be good to hear him without. Beer, service, ambience all good.

Staff all good. Guy on the guitar had a good/ bad backing sound track. He was far better than what he was playing. Prices good,m beer ok!

What an amazing place it is. As the name tell the story House Of Sounds. Beautiful deco, superb atmosphere. Good service and decent beers. Btw just pop in for a drink but happy I pop in otherwise missed this beautiful venue.

Great pub and not too expensive. Live music during the week with sometimes a good live band. The pub is full and a mixture of age groups all enjoying.

Spent a few days in Weymouth and went to this pub as it has music. We ended up going back 3 nights in a row and each night there were either singers or one night, karaoke Such a friendly pub and the owners made us feel very welcome as did the locals. Will definitely recommend anyone going to Weymouth to give them a visit, you won’t be disappointed

Great atmosphere in this delightfully interesting pub! We sat and had a quiet drink listening to some chilled tunes and admiring the art on display. Definitely worth a visit and we'll be back.

Horrendous place, the bar staff shouted and sworn at us and refused a drink let alone being sober! They were very rude and we are very disappointed for such a so called ‘respectable pub’. We were happy to leave the establishment however still got tormented to the door.

It probably depends who is performing there. The act we saw wasn't anything special and the real ale choice was limited.

Too expensive £17 for 2 double bacardi and coke £10.60 around the corner for the same drinks...never again

Maybe I visited this pub on bad day, but I have to say they served me with the worst pint of green king IPA I've ever tasted and to add insult to injury it wasn't cheap!

Came at a quiet time but cool little bar with a lot of vintage music gear dotted around... would like to revisit on a fri/sat eve.

Great little pub, shame I was there when there was no live music on. Will definitely be back at some point but on a weekend, atmosphere was spot on. Good music playing and bar man was awesome.

Fantastic dog friendly pub, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the beer was excellent.

The £13.20 for a double Jamisons and lemonade and a dry Martini and lemonade can't be justified by the grubby little place this is with a single dirty toilet and the lady behind the bar who looked as misarable as sin was unwelcomeing and seemed reluctant to serve me, a shame really as the singer was very entertaining. Had the one expensive drink , couldn't wait to get out, horrible experience.

We were just walking past on a quiet Sunday and decidedto pop in. The staff were lovely, as a massive music lover I enjoyed the decor. Emma was great, very welcoming. She had a playlist playing and let us add to it. We had a great time! Thanks again for a lovely afternoon.

We popped into this pub about 5 years ago and we’re made so welcome that every time we return to Weymouth Once or twice a year we always plan a good night here We popped in Thursday and saw Ricky solo again who we think is great and always makes a really good atmosphere and night . The staff are always friendly and polite including the landlord who I think may have been celebrating a birthday this weekend (so happy birthday Dave ) 👍 We hope to eventually make this our local one day hopefully 🙏 But until then we will continue to return to this great place every year Thanks again for continuing to allow us to make great happy memories. (Hey ho Wolverhampton) Keep up the good work 👍

Brilliant place, friendly staff, great atmoshere

My wife and I visited the house of sounds on holiday we had a brilliant night brilliant staff and beer, the singer on guitar was absolutely amazing 2 1/2 hours of none stop music, You just got to visit this place .thank you house of sounds for a brilliant night , and thank you to Chris I think his name was not sure,

Quiet but good IPA clean and tidy the staff very friendly.

Enjoyable evening of live music

We visited this pub on a quiet Thursday night. The drinks prices were reasonable and the service was good. Later on there was live music, which was not loud enough to stop us from talking to each other (a good thing, btw). The decor is pretty interesting too, with various artists posters affixed to the ceiling. A good honest pub which deserves a visit. Recommended 👍

Went into the house of sounds with a friend. Bar staff were pretensious and snotty, obviously don't like new customers. The bouncer kept ejecting random people coming in at the direction of the 2 bar staff. Clientele left a lot to be desired. The only good thing about this place is the live music and that is it. At the end of night bar staff and bouncer were very abrupt in throwing everyone out. Will never go back to this venue - absolutely horrendous.
