Lovely country pub, you need to be hungry as food portions are large. Clean, good service, food was freshly cooked, well presented and very tasty. Garlic mushrooms a must! We then had steak with all trimmings and vegetable lasagne. Finished with fresh strawberries and cream

Stayed on the site at the back of the pub this was our second visit and have to say we loved it just like we did the first time. The site is so quiet its lovely & relaxing & the4 facilities are kept lovely & clean. Both times we have been we have had we had Sunday Lunch in the pub & both times the food was all homecooked and the portions were large and it was extremely tasty. Would highly recommend this pub & the site behind it run by the lady who owns the pub I can honestly say that I am sure we will be back again.

We took our neighbours for the first time last night (we have been a few times recently) and we all enjoyed it. Excellent food with service to match. We ill be back!!!

Went to the Eve for a friends birthday.The Sunday lunch was lovely plenty of meat & a good selection of vegetables plus Louise was a wonderful funny lady. We would definitely go here again & there dog friendly

Went to the eaves today for Sunday lunch to celebrate a friend's birthday. Excellent meal, excellent service from Louise and her trainee. Reasonably priced good surroundings, would definitely recommend.

The food was excellent, we went on a Sunday and had a roast, this is highly recommended. Louise and her team were excellent. Very attentive service. We will definitely will return.

We booked in for a family dinner out. The staff were very welcoming with food delicious. The log fire was great on a cold evening. I chose the Blade of Beef, it was hot and filling, just what was required. A great place for dinner, but book as it is very popular.

Excellent food and service. Good value, very varied menu. Louise looked after us amazingly well, Friday and Saturday evenings. We stayed on the adjoining caravan site, run by the pub which I would heartily recommend

Excellent little caravan site, total peace and quiet. Really good for cycling and dog walking.Didn't use the restaurant but on the days it was open was busy.we will definitely return in the future, looking forward to it!

We visited to celebrate our wedding anniversary, having visited before for family celebrations. As usual the standard of food was high, delicious, beautifully cooked and presented and the portion sizes were generous. Unfortunately for the staff they were two members down which meant the waitress was serving single handedly and one of the waitresses was supporting the chef. This said, we were told of the situation on entry and it enabled us as couple to enjoy a proper conversation, something we don't always get time to do. The wait wasn't too long either and certainly didn't attract from our evening. We would definitely recommend the Eaves to anyone. Thank you to all concerned.

Four of us went for dinner on my daughter’s recommendation. We were not disappointed. Had starters, mains and desserts. All were lovely but what impressed us most was the size of the portions - you will not come out hungry! The best sized portions we have come across in a restaurant. That’s good as we cannot stand those fancy places where you pay through the nose and come out still hungry. Not at The Eaves! They even put together a cheese board especially for me as it wasn’t on the menu - it was humongous and came with a basket of biscuits, pickle, salad, and about six or seven types of cheese. Most impressive! The ladies who served us were very companiable too and nothing was too much trouble. Well done! Definitely recommend!

What can we say about this site where we stayed in our Motorhome for 2 nights over the august bank holiday weekend. Absolutely amazing place staff were very good entertaining and respectful Food was amazing too with the owner making her own food and it tasting great. stayed here for four nights camping and had food and drinks while here staff are absolutely lovely and really look after you, got to admit though louise was our favourite she was so funny ,lovely and really took care of us nothing was to much trouble .We met the lovely owner aswell and she's also so adorable and is also the chef, all food is cooked to order and delicious good choice of foods and all served in a timely manner with a smile me and my husband would definitely recommend to stay here or even just come for food and drinks such a lovely peaceful place and very reasonably priced and we definitely will be back . Thankyou to all who made our break away so relaxing and memorable 💖

The food was really delicious. The portions were really generous and it was piping hot. We had the pork loin and chicken curry thoroughly recommend both. Staff are so welcoming and friendly. Had a really lovely evening.

We have just left the pub after two night camping. Very peaceful and relaxing place. We ate in the pub the first night and the food was incredible. We were so full we couldn’t manage desert. My husband had the ribs and said they were the best he has ever had. My blade of beef was fab too. Louise who served us with her colleague. Unfortunately the ribs bones got chucked after we asked for them for our dog. Bless Louise the next day she came and found us and had bought our dog a big bone. So friendly and our dog felt really happy here. Only thing l think needs looking at is toilets. There is two with showers that are spotlessly clean but when people are showering there is no toilets. Amazing place would recommend.

Stayed 2 nights in the campsite attached to this pub. Used the pub on the first night for a drink, lovely friendly staff who were very attentive and couldn't do enough for us. The 2nd night we ate in the pub, again friendly staff who couldn't do enough to make our meal pleasant under challenging circumstances (staff shortage). The food was excellent, served quickly, tasty and more than a full plateful! Would definitely stay here again

We visited just before the second lock-down. We used 'Track & Trace' App, they were well set-up with spaced tables. I chose the Steak & Kidney pudding, which was excellent; my wife had the pie, also delicious. They had a good selection of real ales. Staff were very professional and helpful.We had a really good evening, well worth a visit.

We are just back from several nights on this site - it's been a little bit of English Country heaven . So unpressured. Having the Pub right there was brilliant, Pauline's super meals , and the friendly staff and locals to chat to if you just wanted a drink. Shower facility lovely, with piping hot water. Great dog walking on footpaths around the Village. We'll be back !

We turned up with no booking in place having left our previously booked campsite on arrival due to the overcrowding. We were weary and desperate. The lovely owner was very welcoming and there was plenty of space on the camp field. This is a lovely little site with clean facilities and Covid friendly. It's situated right behind the pub which is open Thursday-Saturday evenings and Sunday lunchtime. The food in the pub is AMAZING! We enjoyed a hearty piping hot meal one night and would recommend a visit just to eat even if you're not camping. Staff lovely, site perfect if you're looking to chill out. Lovely drives through the Lincolnshire Wolds nearby and the coast is close too for day trips out. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to campers or great pub food hunters. Thanks for having us, we'll definitely be back sometime.

Pitch fine as were the facilities .We did not use the pub due to the hours and we were leaving on Saturday .We did ask if we could extend our stay by a couple of hours direct with the owners who said no .This is because our friends were staying in Skegness and we needed to collect them, but I have since read that needs to be done on booking .I do not think that it is clear on the website.But the one gripe I have is that although the site had suddenly had more arrivals on the Friday night ,I would be surprised that the 6 pitches still there when we left would of been allowed to fill given covid rules .The other point is when I checked my bank statement we had been charged £140 for 5 nights and I do think this covid is used as an excuse to higher prices ,for instance i ehu pitch left on pitch up going for £175 here!!.We stayed last year at Wainfleet All Saints(before covid) for around £17 a night and I have heard all sorts of excuses like the cost of cleaning but how much do cleaning materials cost? So next time it is somewhere cheaper without an owners dog in the background.

It doesn’t jump out at you as a place to stop but as it was recommended we have it a try and was not disappointed. Lovely meal and friendly staff, generous portion sizes. Would recommend

We had a great meal this evening (4 of us). Fabulous choice of dishes and huge portions. You won’t go hungry! Good Covid safety measures in place too.

Stayed 2 nights recently, 2 showers/toilets , both showers leaked, toilet roll dispensers didn’t work and the pub attached to the site closed at 5/6pm on Sunday until Thursday so couldn’t inform anyone. Must be an airbase nearby as planes and helicopters overhead meant we got not sleep on 1 of the nights. No shops nearby, Don’t think we will return.

What a great pub camping stopover. The camping facilities were fine but the reception we received in the pub was fabulous. Like being welcomed into our local pub, the food was lovely and plentiful and the staff could not do enough for us. Our next day was planned entirely around recommendations from folk in the bar.We will be be back.

we booked an evening meal here on 21 st November myself and my wife were staying in the area we arrived at the eaves and were welcomed,we got our drinks ordered our food and sat in front of the glowing woodburning fire as it was a cold night we chatted to the staff and some regulars until we were called into the dining area the steak and kidney puddings with fresh veg were cooked to perfection and very generous portions we can recommend the eaves and will be eating there again soon

All meals are excellent and made fresh. It is often the case the you will get a mountain of food and never leave hungry. Bar is well stocked and plenty of choice to make a good night out of.

All meals are a delight. I have had some very fine times there with friends and family. The landlady makes some of the best meals around. Always a welcome by the fireside. Long may it be thus.

Everything. Peaceful, relaxing, quiet. Pub had great value for money food, loads of choices and amazing quality. Portions sizes are huge!! Barman and waitress couldn't do enough for you. Excellent customer service. Showers were lovely and powerful and spacious. Close to attractions with a short scenic drive. Had the most enjoyable time here, cannot wait to return. We stayed at the campsite which was quite nice. Unfortunately we went for a meal on our first night and had to wait nearly two hours for our meal. I was most upset. When it finally arrived the meal was average.

We called in without booking to see if we could have Sunday lunch. The pub was quite busy but we were seated without fuss. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We both chose roast beef with all the usual trimmings and wow, I could have fed a small family from my serving. Quality was excellent. I struggled a bit but ate it all. My wife couldn't manage a couple of beef slices but these were wrapped to takeaway. We booked for dinner the following Saturday and again we're not disappointed. If we're in the area again this place if definitely on our 'must visit' list.

We stayed on the camping site behind the Eaves Inn for 3 nights and ate in restaurant twice.The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The food was excellent. You definitely get value for money. Would recommend this Inn. You need to check opening times as not open everyday, but other than that couldn't fault at all.

Stayed at this location for the night to help parents set up the caravan for the week. Camped on the same pitch so only cost £5 for the night which is excellent. Nice clean site with modern WC's/Showers. Had an evening meal in the pub/restaurant which is part of the site. The food was way beyond what we expected. This really is genuine 'home cooked' food. The portions were very generous and the quality of food was outstanding. We ate again at Sunday lunch before leaving and once again, the food was outstanding and a must if you have a healthy appetite.The staff bent over backwards to accommodate my family but also our two dogs who joined us in the restaurant for both meals. Very friendly staff and a pleasure to meet. They even made us a doggy bag (for the dogs) from our leftovers which left two little puppies very happy!

Stopping here caravanning the site is a little gem in pleasant surroundings but hay the food is out of this world. Delish and super size portions the steak and ale pie is to die for a truly enjoyable weekend thank you kind regards bob and most definitely we will be back

Just had evening meal here after recommendations in the visitors book of cottage we are staying in. Have to say was pretty disappointing! Starters very average after half hour wait. Hubby enjoyed his steak pie but my duck was over cooked, greasy, and tasteless greasy sauce also after a long wait. Had planned to return on Thursday but shan’t bother now. £53 not well spent!

Went to The Eaves on Friday 11th and had one of the best meals i ve had in a long time. The lamb dish not to be missed! Resturant quality food at pub prices, consistantly delievered over a number of years.

I booked a table for sunday lunch for myself and my husband,, what a gem of a place. the front of house gentleman so welcoming and polite, he took our lunch order, after serving our drinks, and within 10 minutes we were shown to our table, the atmosphere in the Eaves was lovely, such a relaxing place,

Came here yesterday for Sunday lunch for the first time,brought Mum and Dad as a treat. It’s a lovely pub,really welcoming hosts and the food was excellent,very good portions so we had to ask for a doggie bag,it was so neatly packed up that I am afraid the dog didn’t get a look in and we have enjoyed the leftovers. We will definitely be recommending The Eaves to our friends and look forward to another visit ourselves

If you have a big appetite and love tasty food then this is the place for you... My partner and I come here for Sunday lunch quite often and to date haven't once been disappointed.. The portions are LARGE and the quality and flavour are second to none with lashings of delicious gravy..Today we were a party of 7 and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals.. My son was the only one able to clear his plate but even he couldn't finish the lovely assortment of fresh vegetables. We brought a large "doggie" bag home with us for our dog and cat, they are dining in style yet again...xx. I'd say if you're in the area, give this place a try, I'd be amazed if you were disappointed..

If you want total relaxation,peace and quiet,and exquisite food this is it. The site behind the restaurant caters for about 20 pitches some with EHU and the new showers are spacious and spotless.

The food at the Eaves is always of a high standard. We first went there for an evening family birthday and were given a quiet alcove and were able to decorate the table and serve our own birthday cake with knife and plates provided by the pub.

Wow wonderful food and fabulous staff making this place so welcome. Would definitely come here again. All home cooked and a few years ago came with a party of 35 and every order was piping hot and on time and most wonderful. All that plus dealing with their regular guests made it special to us.

We called in on a thursday tea time. As we had our dogs with us we had to sit out side. The food was lovely and the staff very friendly.

We stayed over one night in Spilsby and struggled to find somewhere decent to eat in the village (only decent place was fully booked). A quick check on Tripadvisor threw up the Eaves which was 3.5 miles away. Well worth the drive - busy when we arrived (good sign) and decent varied menu. Food was lovely and good portion sizes. Saved the evening and fed us all well!

An excellent Sunday lunch nicely cooked large portions of Beef and Turkey served with a adequate varied selection of vegetables in very nice surroundings by pleasant staff.

Visited several times with friends for a lovely meal. The food is excellent with only one flaw, they are very lean on the vegetables! Always had to ask for more veg as the small dish served for four was the same as they served for two and it was not enough.

Came here for a meal with family. Cutlery and place settings were so dirty. A wipe over with a tissue and the tissue was filthy. They charged £10 for a salad that I had asked for. No meat in it. Just some very cheap tuna. And old salad leaves. Left the lot. The rest of the meals were just as bad. And the service was very slow.

Had this amazing lamp dish recently, really tender lamb rump in a honey and red wine gravy As always it was cooked to perfection it's a definite winner with me.

We visited The Eaves for Sunday lunch with friends. Comfortable and friendly. The servings were large and very tasty. Definitely worth a visit.

La comida era buena, pero se tarda años en venir. Ordenados al poco de llegar a las 6. 30, finalmente conseguí la comida más de una hora después de pedir, pero no estaba ocupada o un menú complicado.

Llamamos durante la Semana Santa para una cena familiar. El personal es muy acogedor, la cerveza es buena y el menú es bastante variado. Nos habían dicho que las porciones eran grandes, así que pasamos en entrantes. Elegí la pechuga de pollo rellena con Stilton, era un plato grande y fue acompañada con verduras frescas y patatas. Estaba delicioso. Las opciones vegetarianas eran variadas y la elegida, muy sabrosa. Nos ha ahorrado espacio para el postre, que era una buena pieza de pudin. Fue una comida muy abundante a un precio muy razonable. Un consejo, libro en el verano, ya que no está abierto cada noche.

El alero es un pub/restaurante el camino. Como dijo otro comentarista, inicialmente utilizamos gps para encontrarlo. . Hemos comido aquí varias veces antes pero parece que lo mejor y mejor. Hoy fue un domingo, cómo deliciosa que era demasiado. Enormes porciones que estaban muy bien cocinados y tal variedad de encantadores, verduras frescas, tienes que ser muy exigente para no ser impresionado por lo ofrecido hoy a nosotros. Las cenas son tan tentador. Nunca he una vez izquierda este sentimiento establecimiento insatisfecha y siempre esperamos la próxima vez. Realmente es un lugar que quiero llevar amigos y familiares ya que sé que ellos impresionó como soy. .

Thank goodness for the cars sat nav ! We certainly we would never have found the place without the "sat nav" but it was certainly worth it, Lovely people and excellent food.

We have eaten here many many times new to trip adviser, but this lovely welcoming village pub/restaurant is spectacular !The food is the highest standard, the staff focus highly on the customer.We have eaten from the evening restaurant menus and also the Sunday lunch menu an alternative menu served only on Thursday and Friday evenings and all has been superb, well worth a visit or you will be missing out !

We visit this country pub/restaurant regularly for Sunday lunch. It is without doubt the best in the Spilsby/Alford area. A really well prepared lunch with quality meats and fresh vegetables excellent value at 8.95. Sweets also are good quality and choice. Service is always excellent. The Eaves is a must for lunch.

We are lucky that The Eaves is our local pub, the food is fantastic - a large selection of home cooked meals. Sunday Lunch is amazing, portions are very generous, and orders can be flexible (eg smaller portions, or two kinds of meat).All of the staff are friendly and welcoming, it is the ideal country pub where you feel at home and the locals are happy to have a chat and make new friends.When friends and family visit us we always take them to the Eaves to sample the great food and atmosphere.

Forget troughs of soggy veg and small portions! The Eaves serves the best Sunday roast in the whole of the South lincs area. Never been disappointed with the food and have eaten here often. Huge portions and proper gravy. Great service. Lovely pub .

We accidentally found The Eaves Inn on our way back from a long day of travelling, and what a pleasant surprise it was!!You definitely need a sat nav to get there (unless you're a local), because it is tucked away in a remote country road, but as soon as you walk through the door, you will find yourself in one of the cosiest places ever!The staff is extremely nice, and they have the old british courtesy to make you seat at the bar untill your food is ready, and only then show you to your table.It is a bit of a long wait, but worth every second! The food is to die for!!The food is locally sourced and reasonably priced, I would go back there anytime!!

An excellent experience, cosy country inn atmosphere, excellent food and good service.The food in this case a Sunday roast was well prepared with a good range of vegetables. The range of sweets was excellent, and the banana split is huge. I particularly liked the fact that the gluten free members of the party were easily accommodated.

Came for a meal whilst visiting family in the area they recommended coming to The Eaves for a meal. What a lovely place it is, a proper old style country pub with traditional appearance and good wholesome hearty food. The barman was very friendly and chatty and made us feel most welcome, will definately be revisiting and would recommend to everyone to go and visit the Eaves.

Been several times now with friends and family, and everyone we've taken has enjoyed it. Typical English country pub offering great Sunday lunches at more reasonable prices than many. Good service, good food, generous portions and a good selection (beef, gammon ham, lamb, turkey, or a mix).

we decided on i whim that a Sunday lunch was needed. We decided to go to the Eaves.Well, good decision, it was great, I chose the smaller plate, and my wife had the full monty. It was all great, my wifes option proved to be to much, I am always right!!The quality of produce was good, served hot, cooked very nicely, Blooming good value for money. Toilets are clean which is good.

Used to go here when we lived up the road, had not been for 2yrs but went back for Sunday lunch in September. Review not posted then as pc out of action.Veg was cold or uncooked which we politely commented on at the time. No apology received and the waitress gave us attitude so we didn't stay for pudding. Have now heard of other people having the same experience - such a shame as it was a jewel in the crown of lincolnshire. Won't be going back.

This was our first time visiting The Eaves for Sunday lunch. This is a lovely pub and very cosy inside with the log fire.We booked so we got a table, we did arrive early so was quite happy to sit and have a drink. We were given a menu to look at and then they took our order. We did sit for quite a while thinking I wonder if our table is ready, as the bar area is quite small and did get very crowded at one point. We did end up saying can we be seated please and there was a empty table which the lady had to set whilst we stood there. This would of been a lot better if we were asked to our table instead of us having to ask. That table had been available for quite a while before we asked. The meal was absolutely gorgeous with fresh veg and lots of meat. We would of preferred to have a gravy boat so we could put our own gravy on. It was very hot inside and we just wanted to open the window for some air. The heat made eating your dinner a bit uncomfortable as we were sweating. We will defiantly return as the meal was gorgeous and well worth the money but will try get a cooler spot

We live in Bedfordshire,so it is a very long way to come for a Sunday lunch,but well worth it.The roast beef just melted in your mouth,lovely,all fresh vegetables,piping hot.Service was very good.I had the homemade lemon meringue pavlova for pudding,excellent.Only complaint my son wanted the banoffee pie for pudding,not on the menu today!Even the child's size meal was large,but granddaughter ate all hers!

Visited our local pub this afternoon with our neighbours for the first time. The pub itself has a lovely friendly feel to it. The food was outstanding! A good selection of different meats with usual trimmings and plenty of veg for all to help ourselves to on the table. This was the best Sunday lunch I have had! We will definitely be returning soon.

We have visited this restaurant many times, although our last visit was in 2014. Excellent food with large portions. Great hosts. Well worth visiting. Our tip would be to book first.

Good variety on the menu - I had beef stroganoff which was delicious, the other half had ham, egg and chips and thoroughly enjoyed it. Lovely pub, friendly staff and although we're fairly local we took advantage of the on-site camping area (cheaper than getting a taxi home!).

Have been to this restaurant twice now in the last month, once for an evening meal and once for Sunday lunch. Both times food was delicious, service great and desserts that definitely need to be shared especially the homemade banoffee pie.

Seeing good reviews we thought we'd try the eaves,we haven't been for a few years, it's a very charming pub that's been refurbished over the years.Unfortunatly the atmosphere is not the same.now to the food,I can't understand what people are raving about,there was no taste the Yorkshire was not home made,the veg was not cooked properly,the meat was tender but again no taste,we eat out most Sunday's that the worst so far.the staff were ok,but could do do have a man behind the bar as it seemed to be all women .

Simply put, this is one of the best Sunday Lunch's I have ever had! We do like to visit different places, but have no fixed on here due to the excellent quality, value for money and friendly atmosphere. Well worth a visit!

Visited three times in the last month. Last booking was on Mother's Day. Crowded but very well timed organized table seating arrangements. We booked at the last minute and were fitted in at 14.30. The standard of food, hospitality and staff service was exceptional in the circumstances. So far the quality and presentation experienced of a rather large main course serving is tremendous - all for £7.50. On the first visit we enjoyed a 'starter' but it was impossible to tackle a 'dessert' owing to the satisfaction gained from the main course. Home cooking at its best with no deviation in standard from opening to closing time.

Just come back from a brilliant Mothers day Sunday dinner at the Eaves with my family of 7, Once again i can only describe it as exceptional both the meal and the service, The Eaves is a nice comfortable pub that offers great meals in a nice comfortable setting.

Up in Spilsby visiting family and were taken to The Eaves for Sunday lunch. Oh my god, that's the biggest Sunday lunch I've ever eaten. A fabulous home cooked roast with a full plate of meat (beef and turkey on the menu today). Had the turkey and my plate was full of thick cut meat. Had to partake in dessert as well as I'd seen some of the delicious puds other diners were enjoyìng.Will definitely return next time we're back in the area.

Visited the Eaves on Sunday for lunch, the biggest and best I've had for a long time. If you love your mums Sunday roast, then I think this is the next best thing you'll get!Really enjoyed the food and fast friendly service.

Good food, service and value for money. We regularly eat here and can't fault a thing, we run Lakeside Holiday Park nearby and always recommend "The Eaves" to all our guests.

My wife and I have visited the Eaves for dinner over the past 40 years with a variety of results. But we were very happy with our latest visit. The food quality is very good, a variety of Lincolnshire's best offerings in a really nice, cozy country pub atmosphere. All three dinners in our family group were served piping hot, quantities were very generous. My home-made steak pie was top notch (Pauline's kitchen staff know what they are doing), my wife's vegetarian dish was perfect and my mother-in-law had a superb salmon dish that she raved about all week.Pauline and her serving staff made us feel very welcome, and cheerfully modified my mother-in-law's meal contents.Value is good, But be aware that seating is limited and Pauline only opens 4 nights a week (along with Sunday lunchtimes) so definitely best to call ahead. However, if you can get in, you won't be disappointed.

if you are interested in pleasant surroundings quality food, good portions in a friendly atmosphere this pub is a must.

When all the food comes to your table there is only just enough room on the table as the portions are so generous. The staff are so friendly and the pub has such a nice atmosphere. Even if you just go in for a drink you are made welcome.

What an amazing Sunday Lunch, a meal for 2 would nearly feed 4 people! Beautiful gammon served on a really hot plate with loads of fresh vegetables. Lovely surroundings,friendly staff at a very reasonable price! Well worth a visit.
