It was nice. Live music. Clean toilets. Food it is ok. Burger was great, chocolate cake was great. Some think you can't find in menu. But you could ask about them like fish and chips or chocolate cake. But staff was nice and helpful.

The owner is always drunk and thinks he owns the whole car park including the area of triangular grass which is council land. If its your land, get a lawnmower and cut the area and keep it looking nice. You won't be in business long with a drunken attitude and approaching the public with muscle bound minder in the background! You will also be told his cameras are linked to the council and you will be fined? The signage outside only states the cameras are in operation via the council to stop people parking in front of the benches for the restaurant. If the cameras are able to read number plates of vehicles then the signage needs changing. We have lived here all our lives and have always parked here without being challenged. We don't see how people can start a business in our local area and think they now own the area in question. The council have been notified.

We were due to visit here this week having always admired the position and views. We'd arrived in the area early so parked up and went for a stroll, passing the East Cliff Pavilion. We suddenly heard a car pull up and park outside the restaurant, door slammed and a man got out, screaming into his phone with the most vile language. He entered into the restaurant still screaming, shouting and using offensive language. A complete rage. He clearly worked there. Not sure if he was the owner/manager but whoever he was his behaviour put us off visiting. We drove by the next day and the same car was outside so it does seem the man in question is linked to the restaurant. Appalling language and a poor impression for any passing trade.

The ECP holds many memories for so many people , which is why we chose it for our venue to celebrate the life of my mum. Molly, the manager, was brilliant , couldn't have helped more, and was attentive from the moment we booked going through each fine detail and then ensuring everything was right on the day. Her team were lovely working the bar, clearing tables and arranging the food without any hassle, no awkward moments, for the type of occasion, they were extremely sensitive, warm and respectful The venue looks amazing and I hope it stays open now as it's a big part of Folkestone, it's a shame it's not open more but that I suppose it down to the owner but again we are so grateful they opened on a day they wouldn't normally have. Great place for any venue. I'm looking forward to trying the restaurant Again, thanks to Molly and the team ×

Terrible experience. Never again! Arrived and staff member arrived to unlock the restaurant! Table for 15 was not ready. Waited 40 minutes for tables to be moved about in chaos. Waited one hour for starter. Waited and waited for our main meals. Did not arrive after over 2 hours. Felt sorry for the waitresses who were on their first shift, but no manager or supervisor in sight. The place cannot continue to operate like this. It needs sorting quick or it will close up again.

Never again. Booked a table of 15 all family, for a lovely Mother’s Day meal. We arrived at 12:30pm arrived with plenty on time, seated straight away, lovely place, view’s amazing. Took our drinks orders, these took a while to come, no Diet Coke, no white wine, never mind oh and flat coke!! Good start! Took our food orders, starters took over 1 hour to arrive, really small portion sizes. Mains then took over 2 1/2 hours to arrive, 3 plates arrived, then waiting another 15mins no sign of any off food. Asking for an update off of one of the young waitresses only for her to shout back at us why are we having a go at her, can’t we see it’s busy!! Less than half the tables were full, they will be in for a shock when it does get busy!! There’s not a lot of menu choice and the waitresses seemed to be brand new on the day and not too sure what they were doing. No sign of a manager when we asked to speak to one, just the main waitress who was apologetic and said we didn’t have to pay anything. So we decided to up and leave, no payment made as awful service, won’t be returning, such a shame as potential could be amazing! Oh and p.s don’t hire the singer again, way too loud for a lunchtime session!! Was glad when she went for a tea break.

2nd time coming to the pavilion, today being the first during the day. Staff were clearly under pressure but all did an amazing job. Other time I went in the evening and the atmosphere is just lovely. It’s so good to see it open again and can’t wait for the main room to be finished for the events they are putting on

We went here for Mother’s Day lunch and was so amazed by the views so beautiful and a lovely clean tidy restaurant. We was served by a lovely waitress it was very busy and we was prepared for a wait. When the food did come it was a lovely meal nice and hot. Although a little wait it was worth and would definitely recommend to family and friends to give it a try. Second time here the entertainment on the evening when we went the other week was really good.

Lots of potential with fantastic views but that's where the positivity finishes. Servers were friendly enough but very slow. Food was clearly a ready meal... You just don't expect to pay £14.00 for a ready meal... Starters very small £1.00 per tiny piece of squid is not great! Entertainment was not ideal, whilst I do like to support local artists and 100% would not do it myself I still feel in a local restaurant musicians should be able to hold a tune. It is a shame but we will not be going back nor will we recommend. Get a new menu with a new chef asap!

Great venue and fantastic views. However mains were clearly a cheap ready meal put on a posh plate with a £14 price . starter was bizarrely straight and slightly under cooked tasteless prawns . Entertainment was provided...but the singer was out of tune and loud . Couldn't wait to leave to be honest so went elsewhere for dessert. A shame because it had so much potential.

I was stopped by a man at the door, saying I am not allowed in as I have a dog. I said that it is only me without the dog as she is staying outside with my husband. He then asked me “What do you want?” The tone of the man’s voice and even his behaviour was cold and aggressive. It was so disappointing, not the kind of welcome you would expect, never again.

Why do people with dogs assume that people without them would want to have them in a pub or restaurant while they are out for a meal or drink. I am keen for the majority of eateries not to allow them in. Thank you!

The food was old, cold and crusty. Was so not worth the £21pp! Majority of the options were empty so there was even less to choose from! My partner raved so much about this restaurant but he swears it’s gone down hill so much and will not be returning.

What a DUMP. Place was Freezing Cold. as for the Staff. what an Ignorant Bunch..when we asked for the heating to be Upped or Turned on. it was ignored. so we kept our coats on... the so called Polite Staff. just laughted at us, when we complained..the way our large party were treated it was like being back at School. NO. it was Better when at School. the Food was Rubbish. half of it was Cold and Hard to cut. not cooked enough...the so called Gravy, just like coloured water,(cold)...some of us had ice cream for dessert. it was so hard. we never ate it. even the so called Entertainment!!!!!!. I will not waste my time on that Crap. place it was us Womens Christmas Treat...and it was RUINED.by The MULBERRY. at COAST DRIVE. GREATSTONE. KENT...who could not care a less...we spent a lot of money per head going there....what a waste.. would have been better off going to a Local Fish & Chip Shop....what we thought, was going to be a nice evening out. was a Shambles....we left at 9.30pm. was there for less than two hours.. .... MY and OTHERS ADVICE, is STEER CLEAR of the PLACE. SAVE your MONEY. and GO ELSEWHERE......Be Warned..
