At first we had trouble finding it haha, We was looking for bear lodge restrurant and kept finding "bear lodge" didnt think it would actually be in bear lodge, should have a sign at the bottom for the resturant epecially if a 10 year child is navigating haha....food was nice it is a bit pricey and so are the drinks. We had 2 starters, 3 mains and 2 puddings and 2 double bacardis an coke, 2 moretti and son had apple juice, Came to nearly £150! Yes I nearly fainted too. Staff were really polite and amazing had a lovely lady look after us, We was on table 13 (26/04/2024) Had breakfast in the bear lodge too the following morning thankfully it was included in our stay as that would of cost near on £50! We had a lovely lady (she could tell I was a mum as stacking the plates up for them to carry easier and tidying up haha ) and a young lad looking after us, They forgot to put a tea bag in my partners teapot and he sorted it straight away apologising. We did laugh about it. Thank you for a plesant stay and keep up the great work!!

Incredibly overpriced for what it was. Don't usually write reviews but feel like I need to this time. I ordered the avocado and focaccia & ate it in 3 bites- it was £14 as well! Friends got the full english which was a very small portion. We were all still really hungry after we left and ended up driving to mcdonalds

Delicious meal - one of the best roasts in a long time. Plenty of gravy - which always seems to be an issue with roasts! Perfect potatoes and generous portions. Staff attentive and friendly. The lounge area looked great for a cup of coffee or drink - with amazing views between the lodges! Felt prviliged to visit as its only open to non residents half the year. With improved seating ( was more like a pub) it could be just perfect. But will definitely be back.

Very good breakfast - choice of continental or full English. Very friendly service and lovely fresh food. A bit difficult ultimately to get to but we'll worth it.

Really good dinner and breakfast, eggs at breakfast were very undercooked which was quickly resolved. Staff all very friendly and helpful and quick to take orders and check we had everything. Latte and fruit juices at breakfast were great, choice of cereals, full cooked breakfast, salmon and eggs on over oily bread. Opted for a small cooked breakfast, sausage and bacon were great. Dinner menu limited but what we had was ok, but overpriced.

We were a party of 7 booked in for breakfast. The restaurant was not busy but we were initially given a table for 4 to seat 7 people. We asked for another table which we got, however, the waiter was very put out and clearly not happy about the request. We were sat for a while before any drinks order was taken then we were subsequently asked a further 4 times if we wanted to order drinks, all before the first ones arrived. The drinks took a long time to arrive. Toast was put on the tables, but there were no side plates which meant we had to use our napkins as plates. The waitress clearly saw this but did nothing to rectify it. When the food arrived it was very nice. BUT over £112 for 7 breakfasts was extortionate. The level of service/lack of service did not warrant that cost. We had booked dinner for that evening but cancelled. We weren’t prepared to spend the money on getting bad service m regardless of the good food. More experienced staff is needed to ensure the quality of service matches the price and food.

Had a lovely time staying at Port Lyme. Decided to check out this restaurant, even after reading it’s mixed reviews. It did however disappoint, food was over priced and arrived cold and very underwhelming. Real shame as the staff were lovely and attentive and the restaurant itself in a great setting. Would recommend trying another place on site.

Great Food and Great Location We have lovely food, the burger was fantastic and the kids meals were nice too. They arranged a shuttle to take us back to pinewood to save us a walk which was a nice touch. A lovely walk on the way through the animals aswell.

Overpriced poor quality food. Staying at the reserve booked this for dinner (family of 4). Kids meals £12:50 (2 courses). Both ordered garlic bread, one plate with 3 slices of bread came out to share! Requested another as said ordered 2, had all finished before it arrived (having to chase again with apologies and that it wouldn’t be charged for - it’s included in the kids meal this wasn’t an extra! Noodle salad consisted of rice noddles with some cos lettuce leaves, covered in sweet chilli sauce (literally the jarred sauce) with some grilled huloumi on top. £14. Service although friendly was slow. Avoid it and try one of the other restaurants.

My husband had a steak that he said was as tough as old boots and I had a halloumi salad that consisted of a plate full of lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber and onions and four small pieces of halloumi plonked on top. The salad was supposed to have a honey mustard dressing but just tasted wet. Definitely not worth the price we paid.

Stayed in Pinewood but got a transfer to Bear Lodge for dinner. Family of 4 and was quite impressed, all the food was nice and tasty, no complaints from us so would recommend. Staff were friendly and ordered us transfer to get back to Pinewood.

Ordered steak medium rare, and it was well done, onion rings so hard you could break a tooth on them, chicken wings tasteless deep fat fried. Not worth the money avoid if you can, very dissatisfied. Staff was really friendly no complaints about them.

The Punch and Judy( as was, now does not seem to have a name) reopened today after a ‘refurbishment’. Still grubby, the toilets still stink of urine. Not impressed.

The portion size although looks small but after eating it I was full. The prices were reasonable for the amount of food served

Super friendly service and the food was delicious! Highly recommended. We had the chicken strips and fries and my husband had the pulled pork roll. Really quick and staff were really helpful. We will return.

Just wow, headed down to the harbour arm for the ska festival and came across this wonderful street food bar Minutas. We ordered steak and chips and I cannot say how amazing it was, the steak was so tasty and cooked perfectly, haven’t had steak like that before it was melt in the mouth. The homemade chimichurri sauce was mind blowing, so fresh and just went so well with the dish. Thank you Paula and your team for a fantastic lunch and we will be back very soon. Any body that loves steak or Argentine food this is a must x
