The Punch and Judy( as was, now does not seem to have a name) reopened today after a ‘refurbishment’. Still grubby, the toilets still stink of urine. Not impressed.

Terrible food, terrible service. When we got there, we were handed old menus with dishes on they weren't even serving anymore! (didnt find that out til after we ordered though...) when the food arrived it was barely lukewarm & sooo salty it was actually inedible. I'm not someone that complains often, but I had to raise this with the staff as I literally couldn't eat my meal. When I did, the staff member I spoke to refunded it but had an eye rolly attitude about it. The younger staff members were lovely, but the team leader & chefs clearly cba today. When you're sitting down eating there, if you want a drink, you have to get up from your meal to go order one at the bar?! Seems dumb seeing as most people find that a counter productive thing to do, as your food will just be sat there getting cold whilst you're at the bar, so just won't bother (which then loses the place extra money). It was dead in there this Sunday afternoon too, so it wouldn't of hurt a server to just bring a couple beers over. The place needs to decide whether it's gonna be a bar or a restaurant, coz its clearly incapable of doing both. If they're only serving burgers & chips, they better get their chops up seeing as the lucky chip up the road steam rolls over them in terms of food & service. Definitely won't be coming back here. What a disappointment.

Had the food delivered, was really quick! The burgers are absolutely amazing! For someone that’s not keen on burgers, they were delicious. And their meat gravy…. Well that’s just something else. Everything was lovely!

Terrible, overly greasy. Burgers were mushy and the bun was soggy. The chips tasted like they were left in the chip pan for a week. Had to get my own sauce as waitress didn’t ask if I wanted any condiments. Mediocre and over priced. Will never go back again.

Really friendly and welcoming staff and a cosy spot to eat. Burgers were very tasty and they had a great vegan menu. Looking forward to visiting again!

Came in for a meal to celebrate my partners birthday (her favourite guilty pleasure). I'll start the bar, good selection of beers, ciders, spirits and cocktail, with a barman that knows his stuff and can recommend the right drink based on limited information. Although there is no table service that doesn't matter much when the bar staff are as friendly as that. Now to the juicy bits, and by juicy I mean everything. The burgers and chicken, both succulent, clearly made fresh and seasoned beautifully, and I personally would recommend the piggy back, and a portion of the chicken fries for the table. Plenty of choices for a fussy three year old to boot, with a heap of chocolate ice cream with whipped cream that comes as standard from the kids menu. To boot it was clearly a busy night and the head chef deliver our food personally, wishing the birthday girl a happy birthday in the process. Friendly staff, mouth watering food that has you eating long past being full and a menu that caters to everyone that wants a guilty night of naughty food. I will warn that this isn't a place to go if you want to diet, and that you might need to after a sitting in this joint. A must try if you're looking for something smothered in delicious naughtiness.. Ps. Although no vegans where present for our meal, i have it under good authority that the vegan dishes are to die for aswell.

Came in at opening time for breakfast. We had a full English and a chicken with waffles. Food freshly cooked. The full English was huge, and the sausages were divine. Staff really friendly. Would definitely recommend

Been here a few times over the past few weeks with my husband and we love it. The staff are always friendly, the decor is relaxed and the food is amazing. We've been for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Stand outs would have to be the corn ribs which were covered in tasty seasoning, the banana waffles were amazing and the loaded fries with chicken were delicious! Would highly recommend :)

We had lunch here on Friday the 21st of October. If you’re looking for somewhere great to eat before the Eurotunnel this is a great place to stop. We were absolutely stuffed, and the food was amazing, really tasty and came out in a decent time. Very messy though mind, ask for extra napkins! Thanks guys.

4 of us going out , having tickets booked for a show starting at 7.30 on Saturday evening. We decide to grab a drink and something to eat at before at Punch and Judy , as none of us tried it before…We order a few rounds of cocktails and we order together the food at the bar, but pay separately. More than 45 mins later, our 2 friends get their orders but not us. So we wait…and wait…and give than another 15 mins until my partner goes to the bar where he is assured that our order is the next to come out. Our friends finish their food and we watch how other people that arrived after us have already been served and eating…so about 10 mins later, after we see at least 3 other food orders coming out, my partner inquires again and he is yet again assured that our order is next. The time is now 7:40 pm and we are already late to the show we have already booked to see. After another 10-15 mins, we decide we will not wait anymore and we go to cancel the order ( which I believe that it never actually went to the kitchen). We don’t even get any apologies, the only reply of the bar staff to our complain was “ I know…” - no explanation, no apologies, no customer service at all. Our spend, that evening in the pub, for all 4 , was over £170. We were late for our show and with an empty belly :( We are extremely disappointed and will never go there again.

Popped for a quick bite at lunchtime and decided to have burgers all round. We had the Cheeseburger, Piggyback and the K Pop and were impressed with the flavours of each. Definitely going to visit again, just to try some of the others!

we waited around 45 minutes for food to arrive, only 2 other tables had ordered food. I had the £13 tender beef brisket bun - tender pulled beef cooked in bourbon bbq beef gravy with crispy onions in a sesame bun - what i got - 2 very tender dry slices of beef which tasted of nothing much, no evidence of bbq or crispy onions but i did get slices of red chilli. From the kids menu we had cheeseburger with fries & corn - no corn arrived & crispy chicken which we understood to also come with fries and corn but we were told all you get is the chicken - very odd for a childrens menu item - we checked the menu, we were right, there were items missing. i mentioned we had waited ages and perhaps some complimentary fries were in order so we were brought an enormous bowl of salty fries. The food is all served in an unappealing plastic basket with a cup of cutlery to help yourself from. We collected our own condiments - we knew where to go because we had seen staff get them for other customers. Fearing another epic wait we went to the bar to order ice cream for the kids, it arrived relatively promptly but the pitiful excuse for a kids desert looked like it had been scooped with a teaspoon . I am fortunate in that i have looked online for their website & noticed they own 7 venues in total - i now know to avoid all of them. * I can not verify the crispy chicken description on the website as they only have the main menu, drinks menu and brteakfast (sic) menu

Came along with my friend on a quiet Sunday for a drink....other customers popped in behind me ...35 mins later all the other customers behind me were served I was still waiting....what is wrong with bar staff is your phone more important than paying customers??

Sadly arrived too late for food last night but the cocktails were fantastic and the atmosphere super friendly. Highly recommend the passion fruit daiquiri will be back for more of those! Wasn’t a huge fan of the scary clown pictures on the walls, thought Punch...

Popped in here about 10pm the ither night, no beer left and no cocktails, depsite being busy. The manager was moody and quite.clearly wanted to lock.up and go home.10pm, really.. wont be going back.

After having a lovely morning out with the kids over at Brockhill park. We drove back to Folkestone and came into Punch and Judy for a drink and lunch. Being a street food menu is brilliant as am a foodie person I had the blue...

There were five or six staff doing nothing at the bar when we arrived and all of the them studiously ignored us for a few minutes as we tried to get served. Our food arrived very quickly and tasted ok but also tasted as if...

Wanted to give the new guise of this restaurant a go. Wont be back. Indifferent staff, slow service for what was just a grilled sandwich and loaded fries. Took an age to be told items we ordered initially werent availablle. Topped off with being asked...
