The Durley Inn Harvester in Bournemouth

Had a lovely meal at the Harvester. Great food, excellent view out over the beach. Jade was superb, very polite and friendly.

Jade was a great waitress for me and my family today, and the service was great. The food was nice and we had a good evening overall.

Ate here as a family. Place is nicely laid out, reasonably clean, typical harvester. Salad bar was very well stocked with fresh stuff. One drinks refill machine was broken and the ice machine was broken, but other one was working fine. One member of staff was very efficient, others seem to be milling about half the time. The food was very good and enjoyed by all. Did have an issue with the steak...asked for it to be medium-well done and it came out pink but they sorted it.

My friend and I visited the Harvester at Durley Chine and had a lovely lady called Louise serve us. She was friendly and very helpful. The food was good and the choice was great. We do miss the continental breakfast buffet.

Lovely location overlooking the beach and sea. Our waitress Louise went above and beyond and was quite possibly the happiest, most accommodating waitress in the history of the food industry! Food was usual Harvester fare, served quickly and was tasty. The only downside was the cost of the car park £7.10 for three hours (the car park isn't the harvester's it is operated by Bournemouth council) we were told afterwards to park for free on East Overcliffe Drive and walk down the stairs on the bend just as you get to the sea.

I can highly recommend this restaurant, usually everything fantastic. Only one thing went wrong. I ordered Sundae Best and got the wrong sweet. Not really the waitress fault because on the dessert menu there are two different sweets with the name Sundae Best. Recommend the manager change the name of one sweet to avoid confusion

We all enjoyed our visit, we will definitely be coming back, the service was excellent, the nice little touches of the salad bar was excellent

Harvester has a bar outside the main restaurant where you can buy drinks and snacks. I asked for small portion of chips and specifically asked if they were soft or hard . I was told thy were soft but unfortunately they were hard and dry. Half went in a bin. Please be honest with your customers. I wasted £2.49.

Came on a Thursday lunch time, food was good and had a well stocked salad bar. Sarah was great! Would highly recommend and will return soon

Really lovely food, seated quickly and service was great. Our server Harry was attentive and answered all questions really well. He quite rightly challenged my 18 year old when she requested a Pimms! Great restaurant and good quality food.

We booked a table for 9 and were given a lovely curved one with a view of the beach. We were all very happy with our choices and the staff were very understanding to bring the youngest guests their food first.

Me and the wife and 2 dogs visited for breakfast 10.30 on Thursday morning. Pub was quiet, staff very friendly and on the ball. cooked breakfast was very nice and the coffee was hot, which are two ways it beats Wetherspoons!! right on the beach with parking just behind.Its a Harvester so you know what to expect. i would return and would recommend the place based on my visit. Price was good considering the location etc.

We went out for my friends birthday and our waitress Gislaine was amazing ! Such an atentive service, couldn’t ask for more ! 🥰

This is now our go to restaurant. We have been in here about 5 times over the last couple of months and haven’t been disappointed. We have had family visit with a dog, we have a vegetarian visit and each time we go we get exactly what we want. Parking outside which is great. Great menu.

Went on a windy Wednesday early evening with the family, restaurant was less than half full.Server seemed overrun, too many tables to cover. My food wasn't great, steak overcooked (MW rather than MR) and the cajun chicken was really over seasoned. Would have complained or fed back but server didn't stop for breath let alone to check up on us... Bill and deserts to an age to order.Kids food was good and so was the salad bar.

I wasn't expecting much - it's a harvester, and half term, at the seaside, and I don't do kids! I know that sounds a bit snobbish, but there you are. However, I was wrong. Efficient, friendly staff. It was busy, but service was still very good. Food was very nice, the steak cooked just right. If you're in the area, give it a go.

We took our 90 year old Aunt out for her birthday as she hasn't been out of her care home for two years. It was a really good experience.

Met up with family at the Durley Inn on a cold and wet October evening. Food was very good. Portion sizes were huge. Prices reasonable.

Having stayed in Bournemouth before but have never tried the Durley Inn.We went with my wife on Sunday 3rd October I booked in advance . The restaurant was not full. The staff was pleasant. The menu was varied.We had a sirloin with a rib add on each.The steak was good and the ribs excellent.The wine was South African Cab Sav . The wine acc volume was not as advertised on the list but a reduced strength wine was delivered. It was a poor and not as expected bearing in mind my South African experience. We did not have a starter or dessert.Other customers had apple pie with custard and an Eaton Mess type ice cream which they both enjoyed.

Food order was not received without communication. Ordered a meal, when we were received it, it was not what we ordered. Spoke to a member of staff and was told pretty much what you have is better than what you ordered!! There was no explanation beforehand notifying us that what we ordered was not available. Substitute meal that was given was not eaten.

Very clean Reasturant Staff are fabulous polite , smile and non- stop working The manager who I don’t his name is working above and beyond as he own the from cleaning the floor to a warm welcome to the place .. too many goods which cover for the odds …. the food is good too. Harvesters

Just popped in for a coffee, was waited on by Emilia who went above and beyond to make our brief stay very comfortable, even offering to provide water for our dogs. Incredibly pleasant and attentive young lady. Certainly an asset to this Harvester.

Came for lunch here with my family including a one year old. We booked before hand so we’re shown straight to a table with a lovely view of the sea which was lovely! Staff were very friendly. Down side was we waited ages at the salad bar for someone to serve as only staff could (due to covid) and multiple staff walked passed us seeing us waiting yet seemed like we were invisible. I know staff must be very busy but I think it’s courteous to let us know we’ve been seen and someone will be with us as soon as someone is free - that’s all. Don’t mind the wait then. Food was great though! And presented lovely - couldn’t fault that. We often go to Harvesters so we have a favourite sauce which wasn’t available on the day which was a big shame for us. Otherwise the restaurant was clean and most tables had beach views! There’s a VERY steep hill outside and parking is very expensive so bare that in mind. Overall had a great meal though and would definitely return if we’re ever in the area again!

Went to this restaurant last night and the food was great value and all the staff were super friendly. The manager Michael was particularly accommodating.

It was a last minute reservation for my wife and I , we could smell the food as we was walking down to the sea. We was served by the lovely staff Gislaine whom had alot of patience 8th us considering it was 9.30pm and they only served food until 10pm.We enjoyed the food was fresh and delicious.I think people are quick to criticism but is nice to give credit where's credits due. Really enjoyed our very late dinner.

After a fantastic day at the beautiful Bournemouth beach we were all set to enjoy a meal here, having booked a table earlier in the day. Upon arrival there was a large queue, most of whom had not booked in advance. These customers were quickly turned away. The restaurant was not very busy and there seemed adequate staffing numbers for customers. We were directed to a table and given the standard menu from which my partner and I both ordered a main meal with drinks.The drinks took much longer than expected and arrived around the same time as the food (20 minute or so wait). Considering it was 27 degrees outside and the restaurant did not have the aircon in use (probably because beach fronted doors were open) plus the fact I ordered 2 pints of iced water, I had hoped for a more swift delivery of beverages.When our food arrived, my partner realised another group of customers were ordering from a special set menu, which included the courses we had ordered. However, we would have paid less and had an additional course for the price of a main course from the standard menu. The same group of customers were then directed to a salad bar and informed it was complimentary with any main course. This was not pointed out to us at all and so we missed out on the opportunity to add a nice salad to our meal.I then queried with a member of staff,why we had not been given the other menu and informed of the salad. She just look embarrassed and shuffled off without any explanation. Due to this poor service, I left no tip to which the same member of staff appeared unhappy with. That made three of us.I appreciate establishments are under pressure due to limited staff but this was a pub where they were apparently limiting customer numbers to prevent long waits and unhappy patrons. For this reason I have given a poor review as I feel we were not informed of the full selection whereas other customers were.The food was however hot and reasonably priced (especially if you are offered the set menu).I still love Bournemouth though!

It was good to make a last minute reservation, but…..hair in our food. Woodlice in my pint of cider. Dirt in the glass. Awful.

As a local, this is one of my favourite spots to eat and drink, especially when the sun is out. Knowing the challenges the hospitality industry currently faces, my expectations were low today but they were exceeded! Service great, food great, drink great and they even were accommodating when my little angels decided to spill a drink all over the floor! Sarah in particular was a superstar. Keep up the good work and look forward to returning!

Had a family meal . Adults and kids, great value for money. All the staff were very friendly.. but I have to mention the tall middle age man that was serving the salad bar , he was very friendly and polite , made us all feel very welcome .. we will definitely be back.

We had booked a table, had to wait 15 minutes on arrival for our table. We were sat outside, lovely view but cold, asked if we could be seated inside, told no, even though there seemed to be plenty of tables. We presumed due to Covid the salad bar wasn’t available but we saw it was available on the way out, we were not informed of the Salad bar. The dinner wasn’t great, the fries tasted like they had been reheated. No ice in the drinks. Long wait for the drinks, they arrived after 30 minutes with the main. More staff needed!

Visited this restaurant earlier today for a bite to eat, after patiently waiting for a table was told there was a 45 minute wait for an external table which we had expected and was kindly seated inside by a very tired and angry looking gent.. before we got to the table a female colleagues told him to come and see her straight after seating us where they proceeded to have a heated chat! We noticed these two who I believe may have been management both looked extremely fed up and there body language was extremely poor for management. We was in the restaurant for a little while and realised probably 60% of the staff had the same attitude that we customer were a inconvenience to there day… I have been in many restaurants and have never been in one with such a toxic atmosphere as this one.. i saw many have a go at customer and the girl on the free salad bar snapped at many customer many making faces of disgust at as as they were returning to tables.Great restaurant but extremely poor customer service.

Lovely to find a Harvester with outdoor seating and picturesque views. For guest safety, salad was prepared for you. Must mention Mike, our server, who looked after us. Excellent service.

You can't beat good food a chilled pint looking at the beech and sea . Plenty of parking (pay at meter with bank card )

Lovely breakfast, well presented and decent portions. All served to you (no self serve at present) and nothing was too much trouble. Good view of the beach, too. Special mention to Alisha, who was excellent

Be aware the unlimited Breakfast is not as described. There is NO buffet style here as previously only table service. Unfortunately they have not increased staff numbers to compensate. On our visit this morning the timings went 09400hrs arrive and seated, 0950hrs order finally taken and my wife and I ordered an unlimited breakfast with toast was ordered. 1000hrs 1 single slice of toast arrived (20mins after we were seated). As our wait was getting to the walk out stage, I attempted to get some more toast but was told we couldnt. 4 further slices of toast then arrived. A further long wait ensued when food was finally bought and we asked for another coffee.In total an unlimited Breakfast costs £10 for that we had 3 x coffees, 3 slices of toast, 3 sausages, 2 hash browns, 3 x bacon, 3 x mushrooms and 3 x small containers of backed beans. Couldnt be bothered to re-order as the wait to try and get and get the attention of an over worked member of staff not worth the wait!Management need to increase staffing as current staff have to take and deliver orders, supply unlimited beverages, further food orders and payment. That could work in a buffet style venue not a table service.Advice - Until the buffet style serving is back avoid. Cheaper and quicker service available elsewhere at much better value for money. £20 spent in total not worth it.Staff trying hard but too much being asked of them!

I came on a Tuesday with my son and we really enjoyed the food. The service from Sarah was fantastic too!

Came for lunch. We paid 48 pounds for the family. Husband had poke bowl - it was ok...kids had fish fingers, small burger and toad in the hole. I asked to have kids plain burger but told no. I ordered the salad bar and potatoes skins instead. I just wanted a plain burger. The salad bar is not serve yourselves so got a very heavy induced salad with tooo much sauce. Kids menu misleading thinking drinks included. We were charged an extra £2.50 for a fruit shoot! And £1 for milk and £2.50 for water. Poor value for money. Do not waste your had earned cash here.

They were short of staff but the staff worked extra hard to provide some of the best service I’ve ever had in a Harvester! Great food! Particular thanks to Abi, Stanley and steve, amazing service.

My husband and I visited on the second night of our holiday in Bournemouth and was not disappointed. I had the gammon with egg and pineapple and my husband had the mixed grill which was cooked to perfection. We could not fault the service or location. We would like to say a big thank you to our waitress Hannah who was cheerful friendly and attentive plus the Manager who was great. Already booked again before we leave.

Recently had lunch here with my 6yr old- great selection of food and really friendly staff. Sarah made sure we had everything we needed and my daughter loved her! Will definitely be back very soon!

This has always been one of our favourite harvesters... full disclosure I work for the company and have visited many sites across many brands. But the Harvester in Bournemouth always seems to be busy, yet always delivers. The salad bar and food were spot on as always, and we received fantastic friendly and helpful service. Unfortunately I don't remember the waitress' name, only that she was a young woman with blonde hair. But she was great. Thank you and we will definitely return when in the area

Good meal last night, Stefan really made our evening at the salad cart and made us feel so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. It really was service with a smile, he was so friendly to all 8 of us. The Harvester Group should be very proud of him.

I went there this lunchtime Saturday 31st of July, with my daughter and baby granddaughter. We were served by the most amazing waitress I really wish I got her name but she had plait pigtails I think.. and if she is not Management already she really should be!! She was absolutely amazing, I left her a £6 tip, and I am really hoping that she got it because I don’t know the tip policy for harvester whether they have to share, if they do that’s very unfair because some go the extra mile and some don’t. Allowing those that do to keep their tips personally is good business sense because it will make your staff work harder.. anyway I wish I got her name and I really hope you know who she is because she needs a promotion!!

Terrible food and service, the one star is for the guy serving the salad bar he was very friendly and efficient, waiting times are long, food isn’t that great either

The food is what you expect from Harvester, but the service is friendly and efficient, and the location, with a view over the beach, is absolutely superb. It has tables inside and outside, and a kiosk selling drinks and snacks for beach-goers (or other people who happen to be passing, I don't think they'll refuse to serve you if you're not in board shorts). Salad bar is currently (17.07.21) being served to you because of Covid-19, which is a pain but understandable. We've been a couple of times now, and the car park outside (which you have to pay for) can get really busy, but if you're having a day on the west cliff it's probably worth finding a space.

Food was good - i ordered desert and coffee. Service was good and view was lovely too! Right in front of the sea with ambient music! Served by Andreea - service was great!

We had an amazing time at this place!!! The food was delicious ( 1 stake with peppercorn sauce and chips , 2 fish and chips, 1 shrimps and chips). Our waitress Hanna was so polite and helped us out with the menu and our allergies. Free refills on a buffet salad, lovely view and nice drinks!! Definitely recommending the place!!

Right on Bournemouth beach, the day after 'Freedom Day', you can imagine how busy it is down there! And 26 degrees.Table for one with an epic sea view, by an open door so very cool and ventilated, spotless and sanitised, attentive waitress Kim, fast and excellent service, drinks came straight away, and the breakfast was the best I've had in ages. Only wish I'd thought to take a photo before I'd eaten half of it.Compliments especially to chef Brian, I'll be here again! 10/10

Went the Durley Inn today, found that the service was outstanding. Assistant Manager Steve was a great help, got us seated quickly and came to check to see if we where ok where we had sat. I’d also like to say that the server Abbie was absolutely amazing. Kept us all watered on this very very warm day and busy day. Overall absolutely amazing service from Steve, Abbie and the rest of the team at the Durley Inn, would recommend to everyone.

I checked in at the welcome desk last night at 6.30pm which was a fine evening with no wind or rain, said I would like to sit outside and have a drink, and was told that the outside area was closed because of the weather, this is not good in the current pandemic where we are encouraged to sit outside. I did not stay when I was told this.

We booked a table here as we had received Harvester vouchers for a birthday.With a Harvester you always know what to expect and the food is always good but this one had the added bonus of being in a beautiful location right on the seafront. We ordered the half rotisserie chicken and the chicken skewers and both were very tasty. You can still have the unlimited salad refill with your main meal but this is now dished up by one of the staff, same as the unlimited soft drink, the staff have to get it for you.All in all a good visit with lovely food and a nice walk along the seafront afterwards.

Service from Hannah was great but the food wasn’t brilliant... I had Halloumi fries which were a bit burnt and my boyfriend had the rib keys which were also a bit burnt. The toilets in the restaurant section are awful!! One has no toilet roll holder so it’s just on the floor and the other nearly floods on flushing. Not looked after we’ll at all!!!

Over the years we have visited this harvester restaurant and we have been happy with our meal. But this time what a shock I ordered the chicken combo which came with a chicken gravy when I went to pour the gravy it was just a lump of cold jelly which didn't want to leave the pot. I will never return to this restaurant again or recommend this restaurant.

Being a harvester you know what you're getting, but this one is right on the beach so has the added benefit of super sea views. Efficient and polite service

We were looking forward to a meal at this restaurant for our last night in Bournemouth. The location is really nice overlooking the beach so we requested a table outside. Our waitress was a young very inexperienced girl named Abigail but the situation wasnt helped when she was taking our order by a dark haired person in a green t shirt who was clearing tables very rudely butting in telling her another table needed service immediately. I ordered a quarter of rotisserie chicken with ribs but was told i had to have chicken breast as there wasnt any left after i had ordered, my partner ordered a double burger and asked for just ordinary cheddar not monteray jack cheese, it arrived as a single burger with no cheese, not once were we asked if everything was ok with our food ....we were left totally disappointed and dejected ....waste of £42.00

Best customer service we received on our getaway and it was at a Harvester… Well looked after by all staff and our server Emilia. Food average as is Harvester standard.

We visited this Harvester on Sunday with our toddler and another couple. We had booked and were on time. We waited 25 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us at our table or take our food and drinks order, halfway through taking our order another staff member very abruptly interrupted our waitress and physically pulled her to turn her back to us- it was very uncomfortable to watch and things just got worse from there.We were not advised what the protocol was for the salad bar so had sat at the table for 45 minutes with no food or drinks. At this point our toddler was getting quite impatient and the staff member who had interrupted our waitress kept giving us horrible looks across the room- this is supposed to be a family friendly restaurant. Our toddler wasn’t given a kids pack with crayons like at other harvesters. This same staff member was offensively rude throughout our visit.Once we had sussed out the salad bar procedure we asked for a teaspoon for our toddler to eat with (all other harvester we have been to bring toddler cutlery or a teaspoon no problem) A long latte spoon was slammed on the table with no communication, we asked again apologetically for a regular small spoon. The same staff member who had been rude returned after some time with a table spoon and very aggressively and sarcastically said ‘is that ok for you?!?’ The food came almost immediately after the drink and was dumped on the table with no interruption in front of all the wrong people. A hot side dish of Mac and cheese was put in front of me in reaching distance of my toddler. I moved it before he could reach for it and it was scalding hot.The food was overall ok- my chicken was inedible and chewy. No one asked if our food was ok, in fact no one acknowledged us after our food was bought out despite our effort to communicate with staff. We waited 30 minutes for our empty plates to be cleared and to order more drinks and dessert but eventually gave up and I finally managed to get the attention of a passing staff member to request the bill. The waitress huffed and rolled her eyes at us and was just so incredibly rude. The bill came pretty quick but with no card machine and again no communication.Our son was again getting quite agitated- by this point we had been there over 90 minutes so I went over to the waitresses and asked if they could please bring the card machine as we would really like to leave.It was the worst experience I have ever had at any harvester or in fact any restaurant, which is such a shame. The others in the local area are so much better and the staff are always friendly and helpful. It wasn’t particularly busy on our visit and felt very stressful and chaotic.

Had to come on here to write a review after our trip this weekend. Our son suddenly became very poorly whilst we were here, we had Roxanne looking after us and she’s honestly the most amazing person! She ensured that the ambulance was called, while sorting everything else out and trying to keep a very distressed mum calm. She is amazing and deserves a raise! She handles pressure so well! We were so lucky to have her there! We are so grateful for her! Thank you!!! The restaurant itself is lovely, overlooks the beach and all the staff are welcoming. It is also wheelchair friendly. We were given a table quickly, our food was lovely and the again our waiter Roxanne was amazing. Thank you again!!!

After a few bad experiences we decided to try again and I must say the staff (chloe, Steve, jake and few others) were fantastic even with being so busy 😀 will definitely be back again in afew wks food was amazing 👏

Went to the harvester Durley inn kiosk and was provided with excellent service from Tracey. So lovely, friendly and very welcoming!!

Whilst on a family holiday we popped in here for breakfast due to the lovely position and available seats on the terrace overlooking the seafront. We were abruptly told by the lady at the front of house that the tables were all reserved and put into a small back 'dungeon' instead. Service was unbelievably slow despite not many tables eating. There were 19 free tables at the front of the restaurant still remaining empty throughout our long breakfast wait. The lady on the front of house was rude and abrupt when we once again inquired about moving to a different table. I ordered my son a glass of water on arrival that never turned up, and our teas/coffees were well gone by the time a mediocre and cold breakfast arrived. The bill was also wrong but by this stage we were just so happy to be leaving the restaurant we left it and got on with our day.

Clean and tidy, my waitress was fab and patient considring our diet requirements food came out with 15 mins

We booked a table for Sunday lunchtime and due to the weather, they were extremely busy. However, the service was still brilliant. Our food was delicious as always!

Went in for a burger on Saturday afternoon. Didn't book but didn't seem to matter as was quiet and we sat outside. Food was lovely and hot and salad was very fresh. My complaint and the one star rating is how they make extra money. Be warned. We were asked do we want bacon and cheese with our burgers even though burgers already come with bacon and cheese. Thought it was weird when we were asked with Bacon and cheese and not Would you like Extra bacon and cheese and a rip off charge. When we asked for the bill we were asked if we wanted a paper copy. Of course and then you can see the con. Not to worry. Didn't tip so got the money back. His loss by ripping off customers.

Great service from everyone there, couldn’t have asked for more from the team that were working! Special thanks to Michael who was happy to help us no matter what we needed, will definitely be back!

You know what to expect with a harvester- I booked for location. Food is simple and not particularly special. Does gave a couple of vegan options though. Salad bar still available but your not allowed to self serve and selection very basic.

Dreadful ' understaffedPopped in for "quick" drink after long walk.Sat outside. Pub pretty empty, but the staff that were not chatting at bar seemed rushed off feet.Ordered drinks inc jug of water, waited 20 mins.Chased up, bluntly told understaffed and doing there best (could have said that on our arrival and advised of lengthy delays!)10 mins drinks arrive. Order wrong. And no water, 'Ok sorry will sort drinks' - and reminded of water.5 mins drinks order corrected. Still no water....Nice location - terrible service ( though waiting staff were polite)Oh and still waiting for the water!

This Harvester has a great location with great views of the beach but the service and food was below par.The young girl serving on the salad bar didnt interact with us and we felt we were putting her out . The bread rolls were cold and hard. We were told they dont warm them anymore due to covid, but other Harvesters do. They also dont do the 2 or 3 course set meals that Harvester advertise.The mains were served quite quickly . The steak and mixed grill were ok but the fish and chips were terrible. The chips were hard like they had been reheated and the fish batter was soggy . No condiments offered and none on the table and took about 10 mins before i could catch someones attention to get some .Another 10 mins to try to pay the bill.

Situated on the promenade just metres from the sandy beach at Durley Chine, The Durley Inn has a dog friendly outside area to enjoy food and drinks whilst enjoying the sea views and soaking up the sun. There was fresh water for the dogs and plenty of room for her to sit while we ate. It was great to find that the paved flooring had been swept and was clear of food debris so our fluffy companion couldn’t find anything to scrounge that might do her harm.

Cannot fault any aspect of our visit on 4th June 2021. The Durley Inn offered us a table with 90 minutes’ notice and although this then wasn’t available on arrival, this was due to the previous guests not leaving. The staff were friendly and took our drinks orders while we waited. We had dietary requirements (gluten free - coeliac) to discuss and each member of staff was knowledgable and explained the process for dealing with this from ordering right through to serving and were able to accommodate a meal from another menu as the garden menu wasn’t suitable. There is a link from the main harvester website to find out which menu items are suitable for specific dietary needs, which was really helpful and we felt very comfortable ordering and eating here as a result. The added bonus was the great view over the beach from the garden area!

A sunny bank holiday by the beach when lock down has just been lifted; well of course it was going to be busy...However, the bearded host was very pleasant, acknowledging our booking and showing us to our table.The waitress came over as soon as she could. The place was full to bursting. Our order wasn't too long. We were sat near to the salad cart and have to mention the tall, curly haired young man whose enthusiasm didn't wain throughout the hour and a half we were there serving all manner of folk their likes and dislikes from the salad cart. He was polite throughout and explained to the next guest why he had to leave them a moment longer to restock, usually more bowls were needed. He coped extremely well with the still-do-not-understand social distancing guests and nothing was too much trouble. He reeled off all the sauces to anyone enquiring more than twice that I heard...and kept his cool, deserves a medal!The food was good and we enjoyed our visit. Many thanks.

We booked a table requesting sea views. The day was glorious, the table with sea views, the service, excellent & the food was delicious! Overall a very good experience, recommended.

Our meal was awful and at the point of being inedible. Our food was so burnt - as the waiter brought our food out he told us that he was getting us fresh chips already as ours were black and rock hard. But the bacon and chicken in our burger was even worse and we couldnt even cut through the chicken, let alone eat it. Also found that the toilets were quite dirty. Overall wasnt happy, but our waiter was the only good thing about it. You could see he was rushed off his feet but he was helpful, and admitted himself that he wouldnt eat the food either as it was so bad! So well done to ‘Mike L’ (as it was on the receipt) for being the only good thing about the place!

Disgusting service! They got our booking wrong - the manager was rude, unhelpful & totally unprofessional, she refused to help or admit any wrong doing on their part, argued with my group & refused to apologise. We left in disgust....interestingly as we left we met another group who also walked out due to the shambolic service!

Went to eat at the Durley Inn and I saw how a customer was screaming and treating one of your managers, I just want to say we didn’t have the same service! Andreea sat us down so well, spoke to us so kindly and smiled at us every time she came over! I could tell she looked like she’s had a rough time. Visited ed at 09:30 on the first day that indoor eating was allowed after Lockdown 3.0. Had the £9.99 breakfast and it was amazing. Staff were also really good.

Come to this restaurant on Tuesday. With a dog, outdoor seating closed for breakfast. So they let us sit inside with the dog as the woman said they allow dogs by the bar. Come down the day after, walked 25 minutes there. Waited 10 minutes in the que, in the rain, to be told that the dog wasn’t alowed in today, but it was okay yesterday. For a restaurant on the beach i think it’s absolutely pathetic that dogs aren’t aloud inside or outside for breakfast time. Will never come back. To be told we can’t come in today because it’s understaffed, yet the 7 people behind me can walk straight in is absolutely ridiculous.

Booked a table for 9pm. Got there at 9pm, stood waiting to be seated for almost 10minutes, whilst various staff walked past us, the bar maid just stood there, she had noticed us, but rather than interact decided to keep turning away. Then was told the kitchen closed at 9 and we were too late. Explained we had been waiting for almost 10 minutes and why take bookings for 9 if the kitchen closed at 9 it didn't make sense? With that a disgruntled manager went to check and came back and said the kitchen could do us some food if we ordered immediately. Server was nice and polite, food was ok, just hadn't been made to feel welcome at all by the manager, we almost left on this basis alone, but hungry and out of options. Starters came out within minutes, the dough balls were not cooked properly. Main course was ok.

Fabulous food, service and care from Michael Kay and our server Julie. In fact, all Michael's staff last night were excellent and friendly, so, we're all back there this evening. Thank you all.

We had booked our table, we got seated in a lovely spot, near the entrance, but it was lovely as you did not get caught in the breeze. The food, service and bottle of wine, was excellent,waitress was brilliant lovely lady with short black hair. The abuse the lady on the door was getting was absolutely disgusting, spaces are limited, you are advised to book a table, this thing called.......Covid? So space is limited. People turning up seeing empty tables and kicking off because they had not booked and they saw empty tables. I felt so sorry for the staff, the abuse they were getting was awful, we heard around 20 people coming in and giving abuse because they had not booked a table. Not young people, the older mature ones, the ones who would expect respect and to be treated properly!

Me and my wife came in as my wife came in the night before on wednesday and had a lovely experience. We were greeted by a manager at the door with dark short purplish hair who was extremely rude. She sat us on a table not explaining much, when I politely asked if I could move she was extremely rude telling me that this was the only table available, she left me standing at the door and stormed off in a temper telling me she wasn't dealing with me. Another team member who served my wife the night before came over and simply explained that the other table was reserved for a larger party of 4, but kindly offered us another table of 2 should we want it. There was no need to be rude about the whole situation as we simply just enquired. she sorted us out with a table and ensured that we were all satisfied. But as for the manager she acted in the most unprofessional way, and was screaming. She was rude in front of other customers, which didn't look good for the business. Had you taken her out the situation the food was lovely, but I wouldn't want to come back with her working. The two stars given were for the young waitress who helped and because the food was good.

Basically awful service, no napkins, very small side order portions, no side plates for bread rolls, no napkins, foreign waitress brought salt and pepper in paper bags..just tacky, meat tasted microwaved, veg was soggy, overcooked and tasteless. For Xmas lunch at £54 per head we were expecting so much more. Beautiful view but sun was blazing in our eyes and we had to sit with our back to the windows, so it was wasted on us, almost stood on a cooked potato under the table, coffee came with cold milk in which was disgusting, soup came with cream in which we do not eat but ate it anyway, a regular coke was £3, the soup was £5 and a really mean portion. We didn't even bother with dessert, we just paid up and left. Oh and no Xmas music..basically stressful and the people who walked in after us got seated first, our booked table was still dirty when we arrived. What happened to good service. Why do they employ such terrible waiting staff when sooo many people currently out of a job...just not justified.

Been going here for about ten years, very hit and miss, must depend on who is in the kitchen. Most recent visit was for a ‘breakfast with Santa’. My son enjoyed himself, but the food was terrible, scrambled eggs made from powder, cold fatty greasy bacon, cold beans and warmed bread as toast. Lunchtime was also approaching so I got the impression they just wanted us out. The ‘unlimited’ drinks are a misnomer, you have to rely on table service, which is tricky when all the staff just ignore you. Great location, hopefully they’ll improve, because if they don’t know how to cook toast they really are in trouble. Luckily they didn’t dare ask how the meals were when they cleared the table, must be too embarrassed.

We visited today as a group of 9, a support group of bereavement. I popped in firstly to ask if it was acceptable to come in as a group, because of the obvious COVID issues.The lady/manager I spoke to, could not have been more helpful, she was a delight and explained we should come in as two groups on two tables. When I told her I had two dogs and will not come in, she sorted out a separate section of the restaurant and told me I could bring the dogs in too.It was a lovely experience and the manager in charge today should be commended for her kind and considerate manner. Fantastic coffee, teas and Lattes, with such a warm welcome we shall come again. Many thanks for making an emotional get-together so very easy and relaxing. 5* to this manager and her staff.

Made booking online and then proceeded to the restaurant. Friendly greeting on arrival and shown to table. Pandemic restrictions meant salad bar wasn't self serve, but attended and served by a member of staff.Our table waitress was excellent and made us feel valued. Unfortunately I can't remember her name because she really deserved an individual mention.Food was standard Harvester fare and was fine.Would go again.

Family few days away in Bournemouth. Impromptu booking for this Harvester following a walk down to the beach. Usually as a family we are fan of Harvesters and this was right on the beach. Although a wet and windy day and night time so didn't get the benefit of the views. Staff were great and helpful and they work hard to be Covid compliant. I ordered the sirloin steak and I have to say, it was awful - so chewy and full of gristle. Disappointed, but to be honest didn't want to moan at the waitress as not her fault and everyone else's meals were fine. Other than having the steak - I'd recommend the restaurant.

Don’t forget your ID. Nice friendly service right on the beach. Great for a meal or just a coffee or drinks

I have been to this Harvester many times in the past so my expectations were Nil on this visit.It was raining so I wanted to sit inside and have something to eat. I don’t go to restaurants often now as with Track and Trace I find the experience stressful. The waitresses that greeted me was so lovely and helped me sign in to the T&T App and I sat down. She brought me a menu and I had the Classic Burger with extra Onion Rings and a pint of Coors Light. A waiter came over and assisted me to the salad bar and when I got back the burger had arrived. The food was beautiful and I felt quite relaxed, so much so that I stayed after I’d eaten and ordered a few more pints.The waitress that served me didn’t have a name badge on but she was the only waitress with Long jet black hair, I wish to say Thank You to her for giving me such excellent service. All the Staff were Helpful and professional (Unlike Before) and I will definitely be back next time I’m passing.

We visited on Monday, great experience. Very Covid safe. Good menu. Lovely staff. Very impressed. My kids also loved the kids menu which is always a plus. Had not been to a Harvester in a long time and will return.

We have been before and no doubt will go again when in the area.Standard Harvester menu. For those who have not been to one, it is standard chain pub grub with the addition of an all you can eat salad bar on the side.However, what sets this one ahead is the fantastic views out to sea. Especially now with the parked up Cruise Boats.

We visited on a wet day but still some trade about . The Covid protection was first class as were the staff. Though the food was typical of the type , it was fresh and well served. My rump steak was , first class , for anywhere . Well done all
