Just the most beautiful evening with my family celebrating my mums 75th birthday. The staff couldn’t do enough for us. The food was just perfect. Just great memories! A massive thank you to Tina and the team ❤️

We had a really delicious relaxed dinner. Lovely atmosphere, super friendly service, good choice of beers and no alcohol options.

Genuinely the BEST roast I have had, potentially ever. We ate here back in January and it was fab, however, today truly exceeded expectations. Everything was perfect, great service, lovely setting and delicious food. The portions were generous and no extras were too much trouble. Genuinely couldn’t have asked for more. I would also note that to serve a party of eight on a busy Sunday so seamlessly is truly not something to be overlooked, major thanks to Tina and the team. We will definitely be retuning :)

We came across the dumb post inn on open table whilst looking for somewhere different to go for Sunday Lunch. It said ‘exceptional’ on the reviews and we thought, ok, let’s give this one a go. I have to say we were not disappointed! The whole experience - the ambience, the food - which was amazing. Tina and her lovely team all exceeded our expectations! Had a very enjoyable meal at the Dumb Post Inn last night. It is a bit off the beaten track but was worth every second of the 25 minute drive. Stunning location looking out over the gorgeous Wiltshire countryside. This is a very popular venue so I would highly recommend booking in advance. I have very specific dietary requirements and the staff were very understanding and couldn’t do enough to help. The quality of our food was excellent and I can’t rate their home made brownie enough, it was stunningly moist and chocolatey! The only negative is that due to the size of the kitchen they only have one fryer. If you are vegetarian/vegan or have a fish allergy (like me) then you couldn’t eat the chips as they are cooked in the same oil as the battered fish. That being said, I was offered a great range of alternative potato options to go with my steak. I have worked in the food/hospitality industry for many years and have very exacting standards/expectations. I was not disappointed at all and look forward to going back again very soon!

Halfway through a dog walk, we ended up outside The Dumb Post Inn. After confirming (without prior booking) that we could have Sunday lunch outside as we had two dogs (one being a little noisy), we sat at table with amazing view of the countryside. Sunday lunches - 2 x lamb and 1 x beef. Both the meat and vegetables were cooked to perfection, the roast carrots were incredible and the Yorkshire pudding were delicious. Great value for money. Staff and service. Staff were very friendly and even filled our dog bowl for us. The service was great, food arrived within an acceptable timescale (enjoying the beer and view) and was lovely and hot, even at the end of eat (our visit was on a dry chilly late Oct day). We were offered pudding but passed as we still had a long walk home. Our thoughts. Really lovely pub, great staff, amazing food and friendly service. A real little diamond in the Wiltshire countryside. As this is within walking distance for us and they are happy to support dogs, we will be returning soon.

We went to the Dumb Post for Sunday Lunch. We’ve visited many times over the years with a few different owners, the current team has definitely got it right! Today was probably one of the best Sunday lunches we’ve had in along time. There was plenty of options to choose from and the meal was plentiful to say the least. There was also a good choice of desserts. There wasn’t any offerings of a starter but I think you’d need a very healthy appetite to manage a third course. There was a good wine list which was reasonably priced and what we had was very nice with the options of glass, carafe and bottle. We will visit again and hope the current standards are maintained.

The dumb post is an amazing pub with a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. The staff are personable and willing to go above and beyond for you. Tina suggested the duck and the catch of the day so that is what we ordered and they were both exceptional. We finished the evening with a sticky toffee pudding which was equally good. If you like an open fire, an amazing view and great food then you must go to the dumb post inn!!

Amazing food with brilliant service the sweet potato & coconut soup was out of this world....so much so I asked for the recipe.....and the waitress obtained it from chef ...brilliant! Great atmosphere wonderful food & wine what more could you ask for.....oh yes the views!!!! Would totally recommend

Out in the middle of nowhere, this is a good find. Staff very friendly and efficient. Variety of food a bit limited but quality was fine. Worth the trip especially if you can sit on the terrace in good weather.

Visited last night for the first time. Lovely atmosphere upon entering. The two female staff were very helpful and polite. Food 10 out of 10. We both had 3 courses. Beautiful menu choices. Overall couldn’t fault a thing. Would highly recommend. Worth every penny. The steak was gorgeous, soup to die for and deserts were mouthwatering.
