The Duke in Windsor and Maidenhead

It's a great place. Always kind and friendly, good service, good food, and a lovely outdoor space. Would certainly recommend for families, friends or couples.

I’ve visited this pub a few times over the last few months and have to say I can’t find a fault with it! The food is amazing and the range of wines and beers are top notch… the staff are so friendly. Visited for a drink with my family. The girl behind the bar seemed oblivious to women (or maybe just me???). She looked straight at me then went to serve a man who came up to the bar after me. Gave me the wrong drinks but by the time I’d noticed it was too late as we’d sipped them. Second time up to the bar I was ignored again so a man served me and the girl just shoved the payment machine in my direction, no please/thank you /smile etc. Really odd service as usually the landlord and staff are so nice. She was very attentive to a group of young lads, laughing and smiling, just a pity she seemed so rude to me. I could have done with a friendly face that night.

Fabulous meal. Service was excellent. Highly recommend as a great venue to wine and dine with friends. Lovely atmosphere and very pleasant staff.

Really really good, home cooked and interesting menu. We’ve been a few times in the last month or so and had Venison, Pork, Chicken, Pasta and Chicken burger mains which have all been excellent. The crispy beef starter is also exceptional and the Mac & Cheese croquettes are delightful. All come with home made sauces/salsa. Well worth a visit, some of the best food in the area at a value price considering what you might pay a few miles away. We’ve previously visited plenty of times for drinks in the lovely terrace/garden during the sun. Fully recommend The Duke
