Great cosy pub with comfy sofas. I devour their nduja pizza but sometimes I don't get it when I go because my boyfriend is vegetarian and he likes to eat my leftovers.

The pizzas are the only reason to eat there (the only thing you can order too), and are delicious due to the special dough used. The service can be very slow at times or just about right, so avoid busy days. The biggest grief is the loyalty card. Cannot be used when there are special offers (fair enough), BUT cannot be used for take-away (even when you pay the pizzas full price !!!). So really a poor loyalty scheme...

What a treat it is to buy a Gin and tonic and get one free! Apparently it happens every Tuesday at this comfortable pub along with other food and beverages treats on the other days of the week AND you can have breakfast there and watch the London Marathon runners go by!

We took friends to the Duke for dinner and drinks. They had burgers and we had pulled pork and chicken skewers. They were all very tasty and big portions too. We had lager, also good. Service was quick and the place was lovely as usual-very cosy and they had a Reggae music performance. They always have events-worth following!

Staff were welcoming and friendly. Pleasant large eating and seating area with various seating options. Nice little external terrace area. Limited menu, but enough to offer something for everyone. Mostly of a bar menu burger type nature, but good quality food. However, very limited dessert options (only ice cream) and on sampling what sounded like it should be luxury ice cream, turned out to be really bad. It tasted and had texture a bit like it had melted at some point and then refrozen a bit sorbet like with watered down flavour, and I wasn't the only one in my party that thought so. So, if like me, dessert is a really important part of your meal, don't eat here. But if you are not fussed about dessert, then this place is good in all other respects and I would have scored 4/5.

Great crowds, good selection of beers, ales and spirits, live music (usually reggae - which I am not very interested in), comfy sofa seating / outdoor seating, loads of board games to choose from to play and plenty of books to pick up and read, and a very cozy place. One of my favourites to visit with friends for a drink. It is usually open until late (2 am) on weekends, but food is served only until 10 pm. Needless to mention, extremely pretty and friendly barmaids (one with lovely long curly brown hair who has only started in 2016, and the previous one with short hair was a delight too)! The only negative is that lately whenever I have been there, the music has been too loud. I would recommend that they turn it down a notch.

Went there on Saturday with a few friends the pub is clean and seems to attract a mixture of students and professionals - the bar staff were all friendly and it was quick and easy to get service. The prices reflect the area with pints being around the £4.50 mark and bottles of cider about £5. Would recommend - has wifi Toilets were clean!

It's a great place to go for Sunday lunch and read the papers. The food is excellent, you can relax on the sofas or go in the evening to hear a band. I had a great time I would defiantly recommend it for drinks, food and entertainment.

A great local pub serving honest no nonsense pub food, well done. Board games, a retro arcade machine and good music round it off nicely.

Experienced problems with the service, and the food was not great. Overpriced and poor quality. Specifics:- None of the food was hot when it arrived - just warm- Coleslaw initially did not arrive, and when it did come it was basically just raw, roughly-chopped cabbage, some of which was brown and rotten (we were not charged for this in the end)- Steak arrived without a steak knife, in fact without any knife at all, making it impossible to eat. Despite repeated requests, the knife did not arrive until the steak was cold. A replacement steak was provided after a considerable delay, and was undercooked.- Rosemary salted chips had no rosemary salt at all. Was not rectified despite complaints. The attitude of the sole staff member on duty was not professional. She was clearly stressed about the under-performance of the (so-called) chef, but cursing and getting defensive in response to our complaints is not the right way to behave. We will not be going again.

This used to be my local so I was looking forward to coming back and reliving old memories! The place has got busier and the atmosphere is good but the biggest shock is their prices - £4.95 for a pint! It's cheaper to drink in central London than here, and not worth the money!

Ho frequentato questo pub per un paio di settimane, durante il mio soggiorno studio in college poco lontano! Sempre buona musica dal vivo, un'atmosfera molto rilassante e ottimo cibo! Birre a fiumi ovviamente! Unica pecca, forse, i prezzi non proprio economici! Vale la pena fermasi per un hamburger, se siete in zona!

Came across this pub when walking around the area, slightly out of the main Greenwich centre. Inviting, friendly, tasty burgers at affordable price. Good selection of drinks and have always had great service. Each time theres been space to find a table. Live music too was great!

The Duke was our local pub when we lived in the area. It has been totally refurbished a few years ago. It has a good selection of beers and nice pub food. My favourite is the chicken skewer. They often have live music shows and the staff is very friendly and helpful, also with children.

It was the first pub that I had seen in Greenwich and I loved it soon. It's quite big and it has a nice design with couch, wood's table and a roof terrace. The barmen are very kind and the prices aren't expensive. It's near Depford.
