Lovely food and great service! We visited Sunday with a party of 13 for my son’s 18th birthday. Food was all delicious and served in good time and waitresses very friendly. Steaks were cooked to perfection and roasts were all delicious. Cannot fault anything and you all made his birthday special. Thank you all so much!

The drill inn is a fantastic premises with modern interiors. They have a great drink selection and fantastic beer garden and play area for children. We had a Sunday roast which came out presented well with a large separate portion of veg. Table service is great and efficient , however the pub wasn’t overly busy so expected. The roast was lovely, but personally the beef was slightly too well done for my liking, but still very tasty and tender. Will definitely visit again.

It was out first visit and won't be the last. Great food and service. The location is wonderful and the beer garden is lovely for all. Very family friendly. They have a playground for children and they have a bouncy castle up through the summer holidays. Lovely family run business would highly recommend.

Visited today with four friends for lunch and it was delicious. The food was beautiful, clean plates and it doesn't get better than that ! Service attentive but not intrusive. Not the first time vwe have eaten there and it certainly won't be the last.

13 of us booked and pre ordered our meals as we were a large group, lamb and beef dinners mixed up, burgers were poor quality and Kiev dried up. We wasn’t offered any condiments, we had to ask, we wasn’t asked once for any drink orders we had to keep getting someone’s attention, when we did ask for drinks/dessert menu / coffee the wait was painful (coffee never came with desserts) we asked for the bill twice when it came I had another tables order on our bill so had to wait again clueless and non attentive staff ruined our family meal for a special occasion. Just so disappointing as we have visited numerous times before and not had one complaint.

Not been to the Drill for a while and got to say I was really impressed, the place has been tastefully updated, friendly and accommodating staff, although very busy we were served quickly, Guinness was excellent and the food lovely, will be back soon!

Absolutely wonderful food. Very generous portions, fantastic taste. A really good experience. We had respectively Beef teriyaki and chicken Kiev - the beef was something very special. The Kiev's garlic butter is served in a little pan rather than inside the chicken - very nice. Sauteed garlic mushrooms in white wine sauce with beef, shepherds pie with creamy mash Mozzarella cheese sticks, scampi We all had chips with mixed veg and I had onion rings - the biggest I've ever seen. Service was wonderful, seating was very comfortable. Sadly we were all too full to taste the desserts.

Very nice beer garden for kids with big play area and farm animals to keep them entertained. The food was good and the portions were large, we took leftovers home in a box.

Booked online for 2 tables for 3pm lunch. Catered for having the kids on table next to without quibble on entrance. Staff attentive and always on hand. Food orders over 2 tables handled very well. Went to the Drill Inn on Wednesday for lunch with my sister and Aunt. Had a very enjoyable time. The food was excellent, and I was able to choose a Gluten Free option. But above all, the two young men that were serving that day were so nice and polite, they are a credit to their generation. Would definitely go again if I was back in the area.

All I can say is what a fab afternoon. Bottomless lunch amazing food was gorgeous from starters to desserts. Staff friendly,attentive n lovely. Well worth the money in my opinion .

Filthy glasses, the look of disgust if you dared ask for a clean one from the staff, a drunken person explaining to me by the bar 'the glass is supposed to be like that as it will have been through the dishwasher!' Screaming people everywhere, having to ask people to allow you access to entrance as they were smoking in the door way. A ridiculous table when they found the booking. Warning : the restaurant area is a big tent with poor access and an AstroTurf floor. Not recommended. Cannot comment on the food as we left before risking that adventure.

8 of us went out for a bottomless brunch the cocktails were perfect and so was the food there was plenty of cocktails flowing the mains and starter was enough for me even though it included a pudding Marius was a perfect waiter and Chanel kept the drinks flowing attentive waitress will definitely be going back and recommend to friends 5 star customer service

Second visit in a week. Mid week meal led us to choose The Drill for Sunday Lunch with family. Service was quick, portions great and the quality of the food is fantastic. The staff attentive & the atmosphere welcoming with a cosy country feel to the pub. Definitely will be revisiting… plenty to choose from and looking forward to trying the homemade pizzas

Lovely Sunday roast in a nice setting with chilled atmosphere and nice staff. Asked for more roast potatoes and they provided then no drama, love it.

Above and beyond! My third visit here today and really appreciated the extra mile the team went. Took my nephew who has milk and egg allergies and I’m always cautious about where we eat, a lot of places don’t give you much confidence but the Drill Inn was really understanding and I felt very safe taking him here, The chef made handmade chicken nuggets to be extra sure there was no risk of milk or egg (which was amazing!) and the team made sure of everything else. Our food and service has been great , every time we’ve visited and we will continue to return

Sat in the lovely beer garden this evening and can honestly say it was one of the loveliest pubs we have been to in a long time. Every member of staff was so friendly and welcoming from the bar staff to the lady packing down the bouncy castle she let the children have some extra time. Also a special mention to Will for being so lovely and talking to the children about the animals and letting them feed them. We ate outside and food was lovely and very reasonable. This pub is a gem of a place that we only found by luck! Can’t recommend it enough!

Booked the Drill, never been before but it was recommended, very nice setting and nice restaurant. One of our party is GF so we ordered appropriately, unfortunately some how even though the waitress repeated the order the GF pate starter came out non GF, good job wage noticed!! they sorted it, it took a bit of time and we hand all finished our starters by the time she got hers but the conversation was flowing so not too bad. One of us ordered a kiwi and lime cider, they were out of that so brought out Apple and Lime, without asking! Sorry should have asked don’t like Apple! So mains then come out, I ordered Chicken Linguine, out came prawn linguine!! So that had to get changed! The waitress was obviously having a bad day, maybe new, but the issues were corrected reasonably quickly, although with a little more attention they should not have happened in the first place! they were not a big problem. However the chicken turned out to be a reconstituted breast, not good at all, the rest of the food was good but for the price the quality of the chicken was poor! Should have stuck with the prawns! The atmosphere was good, for the most part the food was ok, although should be better! would we go again?……..yes, it would not be our first choice and I probably wouldn’t recommend it to friends but I think some time in the future we would try it again just to see if they were having an off day!

The Drill was recommended by a friend so thought we’d give it a try, so glad we did. A super venue that’s obviously had some serious investment to ensure a pleasurable experience for their customers. Outside there’s an outdoor bar, separate washroom facilities and hand sanitising stations that serve the seating areas on the hard patio area and a large beer garden. Moving inside there’s a one way system in place and tables are spread out correctly to comply with social distancing, hand sanitiser stations are in place and there’s also hand sanitiser positioned on tables. Staff are friendly and appear to have a good level of camaraderie which makes for friendly service that isn’t overpowering or false. The menu has plenty of choice, food is tasty, well presented and good value for money. All this leads us to the conclusion that we will definitely visit again. Thank you.
