Sunday roast in the garden! Good choice of quality food, well prepared and served with a smile. Despite being very busy the staff all coped well with a very pleasant attitude.

Me and my wife popped in for a spot of lunch, started with a shared starters. Its fair to say the quantity of food was poor We decided to finish our drinks and go.. Such a shame seemed such nice surroundings.

they charge a FORTUNE for soda water!!!! £9 for 4 glasses, what an absolute rip off! When asked about the price, the owner was just rude. Will not be going back!

We both had the MIXED GRILL. Truly exceptional, with mainly excellent selects of Grilled meat. Probably one of best mixed grills I have had anywhere. Service was good, pint of the local IPA very nice as well . Highly recommended

I’ve driven past here loads of times but never been so my friend and I decided to visit. The waiter (Harry?!) was fantastic, very sweet and very helpful! The food was fantastic, we both had the lamb with mash which was delicious. I had the chocolate fondant for dessert which was also amazing. My friend had the waffle and said the same! Great place, great food! The only reason I took off a star is that I did feel it was quite pricey…. A few £ cheaper and it would be perfect!

We booked half of the Dragon for a combined 60th and 21st birthday, 37 guests were in attendance, we were so well looked after that I cannot praise the venue highly enough, the staff were amazing, the food was exceptional, the venue was perfect, the room was laid up exactly as we had requested, we could not have wished for a better evening. Having lived in Horsham for several years, we never got to visit this restaurant during our time there. However, on a recent return to meet friends, we decided to give it a try, and we were not disappointed. Set in rural surroundings, the dining area is beautifully decorated, and you get a feeling of the outdoors, being inside with huge windows, giving light and openess to the beer garden with plants all around. We thought we could be on a tropical island! The menu was extensive with a great choice of nibbles, starters, mains and desserts. It was difficult to choose. The manager was friendly and patient with our group of six, as we took some time to order our choices. The small bar area was also tastefully decorated and lit, giving a cosy ambience. Again, with an extensive choice of wines and spirits. The only disappointment was that we had missed out on frequenting the Dragon, whilst actually living in Horsham. We'd love to return!

We were with a party of 36 on Saturday 18th May. The staff were lovely but the mussels and Calves liver were both too salty. Please give the Maskells a refund. Thanks

We had high expectations for The Dragon but were left very disappointed. The food we had was nothing special and the price did not reflect the quality. The establishment is not baby/child friendly so we had to make last minute arrangements with family concerning the little one. I did mention this on the online booking and was only told about this about an hour before we were due to arrive. Not impressed with the landlord or manager whoever he is… The girls serving us were lovely, but apart from that… I don’t usually write reviews as we take as we find but this place is something else

Fabulous evening. Lovely lady serving us told us we could order the Christmas dinner if we wanted (we hadn’t pre booked it) We all had the prawn and avocado salad to start which was divine-the best ever. Loads of prawns. Turkey dinner was delicious, lady brought us extra potatoes and veg when we asked. A fabulous experience and can’t wait to return.

The Dragon came recommended to me, and I am so glad to took up the recommendation. The food, service, atmosphere were spot on. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the service from the waiting staff was exceptional. We really did enjoy it. I am happy to pass on that recommendation to others. Also going to try the Sunday lunch next, looks exceptional.

Although the choice of food is vast, I found the execution just missing the mark. The crab starter was nice, but flavourless. There was too much else going on with whatever the crab was mixed with that it took away from the flavour of the crab itself. Portion size of this starter was particularly disappointing. I had the seafood mixed grill for main and although the choice of seafood was fantastic, there was no flavour. None of the seafood had been cooked in anything. The dish therefore consisted of flavourless prawns, squid and the rest. It is presented on a lobster bisque but being on a plate, it was incredibly shallow and you weren’t able to consume the full effects of the pairing between the bisque and the seafood. I would’ve preferred flavoured seafood served on a plate or board, with the bisque in a small bowl on the side. Overall, fantastic setting, extremely attentive staff and I would absolutely go back to try some different offerings from the menu.

nice atmosphere a little bit loud at times as there are no soft furnishings to soften the noise, a little like a canteen and can make hearing hard. Menu had a good selection, I have the Argentinian sirloin which had a lot of grissly/chewy bits in so not the best steak I have had. The mushroom was lovely and the chips were ok.

Very overpriced! Food just ok Felt £24.95 for pie and mash too much! Staff didn't know what the catch of the day was said look at the blackboard but it wasn't on it!

Had an amazing Sunday cosy lunch - food was absolutely amazing- Roast dinner well presented and cooked to perfection. A lovely variety for kids menu too. The desserts were delicious really recommend the triple chocolate brownie. Service by staff was friendly and helpful.

The food and choice was excellent and presented in good time. Sadly welcome poor and raising eyebrows to heaven when staff got wrong person for dish was not encouraging to make us return. These small things get noticed!

this is one of our favourite places to go. the food is always delicious and filling, and you can tell the ingredients are quality. i have since eaten outdoors which was nice too, and we could take our dog. Highly recommended the baked camembert starter and the ribs. never quite make it to dessert! only downside last time was understaffed so a long wait and our coffee was forgotten but that’s never happened prior so obviously just a blip and we were offered a complimentary dessert which was a very nice gesture and the staff were all very friendly and polite despite being clearly stretched. Will 100% return!

Went for a Sunday roast - Pub and service were both good. Food just was ok, nothing special for £19:95… Two slices of chewy beef, 3 roast potatoes! and £5 extra for a small plate of cauliflower cheese! Not good value for money and could not recommend this place.

I love this place so so much! The interior has been so well thought out, the conservatory is stunning and so is the main restaurant. The chairs feel ‘deluxe’ to sit on, I absolutely can’t fault a thing here. It’s my favourite local restaurant. My friend and I had the steak ciabatta. WOW.
