Really good cafe style food. Had the perfect breakfast outside in the garden. You should try it.

Dove Inn, excellent Place, we rented two room for a couple of night ,as we were working locally ,Rooms were clean tidy and all that you need for a room, The customer service was excellent, owners were great. The Beer flowed well and the food was good, they even cooked for us, on a Monday and Tuesday, when they do not normally cook, those days, Thank you Guys for making our stay comfortable. High Recommended.. RSR

Popped in as we've passed this place many times. We didn't get there til about 2.30pm, but they were still serving hit lunches. Service was quick and everyone was friendly. The food hot was hot and very nice. Place was clean and pleasantly decorated. Parking either out the front and I believe at the back of the premises. There looked to be a lovely garden out the back, but as it was raining, we didn't investigate. Hopefully we'll be back in the future.

Stopped here on the way to Norfolk Coast, lovely place, best blueberry muffin ever. Would cone again if in the area

We had the most amazing meal at The Dove Inn yesterday, I myself am a celiac and my partner dairy intolerant and it was so reassuring to know how much detail they put in to ensuring there is no cross contamination of their food and products. The food was absolutely delicious and portion sizes were perfect, we will definitely be eating here again and bringing the family too. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Update.. popped back for lumch today amd it was really lovely. Highly recommended Really wonderful experience there today. They catered for a group with ease and the venue is just lovely, the staff are friendly and welcoming. Definitely contact them direct for rooms and the flat, i might even consider camping there myself when the weather changes. It looks wonderful. Thank you

Went to a friend's party here and stayed in one of the rooms. We bought our dog with us and we were all made to feel super welcome. The party was lovely with a delicious finger buffet. And the room was so cosy with all amenities. The bathroom looked brand new and all of it was very clean. I would highly recommend the Dove Inn and I'd be more than happy to visit again.

First time visit to the cafe and would say straight away the service was excellent. Nice menu selection along with 5 or 6 specials. My wife had the vegetable soup with GF bread and I initially opted for the fajita burger off the specials board. The soup bowl was huge (no understatement) very hot and tasted good. The GF bread was far superior to many others (usually GF bread taste like cardboard, this didn't!) Unfortunately the fajita burger was un-cutable and I returned it. Its a new item on the menu and needs some work b4 offering it again. The staff were apologetic and offered a replacement which I choose, a cheese roll. An offer of free drinks was also made. These things happen but more importantly is how its managed and 5* for the way all staff responded. We will be back I'm sure. PS, the cheese roll was tasty!

Fantastic food and service. In our group we have some dietary requirements and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. Highly recommended booking for a Sunday roast. Also nice to have somewhere local which does live music events.

Went for lunch. Clean premisses. Pleasant staff who are trying very hard. Food very poor. Meat dry and veg overcooked.

I didn't stay on one of the rooms. But we had the most wonderful afternoon celebrating a family members baby shower. The food was all freshly made, even went the extra mile and kept it topped up. Tea and coffee was flowing. All included with the buffet deal. The staff were soo lovely and willing to offer assistance.

Following on from attempting to visit a near by cafe, which was closed (no warning etc) we walked across the road to get a coffee and a light bite to eat. My mother in law and I were with our 4 dogs, 3 14 week old lab pups and an older labrador. We stopped in and asked if the dove was dog friendly and we were made to feel completely welcome. Staff extremely friendly, and accommodating. The only thing I would suggest as a small improvement to the experience we had is to review the coffee offered, everyone’s tastes are different when it comes to this but it was a little weak even with a ‘double shot of espresso’, if the Dove offered a strong coffee such as Strangers as an example, then I think the experience would have been made even better! Lots of people, myself included enjoy a coffee following or on the way to a dog walk on a winters day so to offer a nice coffee / sit in or with take out option, I would think would be a popular addition. Thank you very much for welcoming us and our little pups while we are socialising them, we will be back :)

Afternoon tea for a large group was incredible value and great quality and variety of sweet and savoury treats. Very friendly relaxed atmosphere with helpful staff and plenty of parking.

Lovely coffee , family run with homely feel

My friend organised a 70th birthday party for me. The food was delicious there was plenty to eat. All my friends thoroughly enjoyed themselves . It was such a lovely relaxed atmosphere It was just a lovely venue with very interesting decor. Sonya made me a beautiful cake with my favourite chocolates on my cake and the outside too. It was just an amazing evening. So thank you Sonya and your team. We loved it so much that we booked a lovely roast today with 2 of our friends. Roast lamb with all the trimmings. Nothing was too much trouble. Can't wait to visit again. ❤️🥰 Xxx

Attended a birthday party here. The buffet that was laid on was very well catered. The food was delicious and fresh, and no curled sandwiches 😋. The decor is really nice, has a lovely atmosphere the staff are very polite and helpful.

We stayed at the Dove and ate there several times. Nothing could be too much trouble, the whole team were lovely. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the food or the service. Top notch - thank you

Very lovely people, however, I was charged £9 for a sausage bap and a black coffee. Sausages were Richmonds at best.

My daughter and I had a wonderful weekend staying here. The rooms are well appointed with tea and coffee and a private bathroom. Clean and comfortable and a little quirky as befits such a fine old building. The food is delicious and inclusive of all dietary requirements and the staff are cheerful and super helpful, they will do anything they can to make sure your stay is the best. We were there on a rather damp August weekend but there's enough to see in the local area and there was a great local band playing on one night. There is a massive mature enclosed garden out the back, right next to a field of roaming cows! I think they are planning to provide camping facilities in the future. A great atmosphere, well priced drinks and craft ales, and not forgetting the hog roast! Call ahead to see what events they have coming up; it could be live music, a clairvoyant or maybe a tarot reader! There seems to be something new each week, a visit by Vikings is planned! We'd come back every week if we could! Would highly recommend staying at this unique Inn. Recently under new management with tons of enthusiasm and very open to suggestions and comments.

They have just opened and are finding their feet. Had a cooked breakfast and a coffee. They could do with warming the plates, and changing their suppliers of sausages and coffee. We will go back once they have settled in.

My daughter treated me to lunch on Mother's Day and wow! It was the best Sunday lunch I have ever had in a restaurant. Will be going back very soon. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Decided to try here, as recently opened again, for a light lunch. Food was good and plentiful and prices pretty much on par with other places. Service was a bit slow although not busy, lady apologised as only one member of staff on. You need a car to get here and situated on busy main road but nice enough inside. Would visit again. Picture of toasted club sandwich, one half was enough for me so the lady kindly put it in a takeaway box.

Visited The Dove 13/01/23 the restaurant is under new management. Small menu but varied. Lovely meal was had by all. Chips were fantastic! Staff were very friendly and helpful.

My boyfriend ordered a bacon sandwich that was supposed to come with an egg and ketchup, didn’t come with neither the egg or ketchup. I ordered the fish and chips, the chips where very very salty and the fish was very soggy and seemed microwaved. Seems like a lovely place but unfortunately we were disappointed:(

We had a lovely 3 night stay here. Comfortable clean spacious room. Dean was the perfect host and we enjoyed the breakfasts. Unfortunately didn't get chance to have dinner there which was a shame as the menu looked nice. Would recommend and return.

Wonderful fish dishes . Freshly cooked. It was a lovely relaxing ing meal. Freshly cooked food. Spacious surrounding. They are doing deliveries of fòod 6 mile radius . Think starts next month. Wine lovely and cold. Non hurried service. Will definitely go again very soon.

Lovely breakfast here again. There is also the handy option of choosing exactly what you want in order to create a bespoke meal. There's a vegetarian option and some other great options if you don't want a full English. Seating outside or in are both lovely and inside is carpeted so it's never noisy like some places can be. Basically a great place to eat!

We had the tapas dishes (choose and 6 between two for £26 I think it was) Hot, fresh - most definitely cooked to order. The lovely waitress Niki was definitely on her toes and did a grand job. They were busy but not packed. Lovely decor, not too hot or cold (fans were running) Lovely little pub.

Had coffee and a pudding. Lovely. Attractive decor. Nicky was friendly and helpful. It's an easy place to miss because it's on a fast main road. Pleased we found it.

The Dove restaurant has a lovely place. Very clean. I had a steak and ale pie which was nice. Best pie and gravy I have had. The type of food that makes you have a good day! Would recommend

Disappointing visit, a long wait for food, not particularly polite staff, food was very unsatisfactory, cheap ingredients and somewhat inedible unless you are Jaws.

Fantastic service and lovely food

First time visiting the Dove, last Sunday for lunch which was delicious. Choice of roast meats, huge yorkie puds, 7 veg including Cauliflower cheese and tasty gravy. Lovely dining room with a log fire. Definitely going back soon

I wish I lived closer as this place is wonderful. The decor is fascinating, and the food amazing! My partner and I had the roast turkey dinner, it all tasted so good, the best today I've had in a long time!

You *must* visit the Dove Restaurant! We booked for dinner when visiting the area and the service and food were absolutely faultless. The staff are so welcoming, knowledgable and made some great recommendations. We loved the food so much that we even went back the next day for a Sunday roast 😊

Perfect Sunday roast! We have eaten here three times in the last couple of months and each time the food has been fabulous. We will definitely make this a regular place to eat on a weekend. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated. It is clean, contemporary, yet cosy, with friendly and efficient staff.

Came across this gem this afternoon whilst on our way to Potters Holiday Resort. Very tasteful decor, good food and lovely service. It is on the A143.

Met friends there for lunch this week. First visit. Their ‘tasting’ or ‘little’ plates were highly praised by our friend, but all food was good and service excellent. Next time we go I’m def having pancakes - so few places have these on the menu.

If you want great food, polite friendly staff a lovely setting in a relaxed atmosphere then this is for you...Not your usual pub grub! I would highly recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had a wonderful breakfast here. Very clean and tidy. Dog friendly. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Fairly priced. I would definitely recommend and return.

We stayed here for 5 nights in September and loved it. Our ensuite was excellent, very well renovated with a modern bathroom and USB ports in the bedroom as well as usual sockets. There was a wide choice of beverages etc. in the room..As for breakfast, what a fab choice. We asked for an earlier one and this was no problem. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent, everything freshly prepared and the service was excellent. We are there 4 /5 nights and only missed one because it was closed. The only drawback, which wouldn't stop us giving it 5 stars, was traffic noise. Next time I will take ear plugs. A great placeto stay.

I really loved going here when it reopened, I didn't ever mind waiting for food,as all yummy and beautifully presented, and I'm super slow myself these days. I just got a little upset by some of the staff and the rather curt responses and often dismissive behaviour so won't be spending so much of my hard earnt money there anymore

Lovely quiet, relaxed resturant beautifull presented and cooked food. I had Whitebate really hot served with a small Olive Roll and side salad. And to die for was the Lime and Corriander Chicken beatifully presented and so hot and succulent. My friend and i shared a bowl of chips she had Cod loin served on a bed of spinach. The chips were new potoatoes medium to thin sliced with skins on, the best i have tasted in a very, very long time.

Booked in for dinner, and was completely blown away the standard of food here is astonishing…. With me being gluten free it is sometimes an issue… but not here very straightforward and lots of choice If your considering visiting or passing by then definitely book in here for food - you won’t be disappointed and iI predict it won’t be long before it is booked up solid for days/weeks in advance

Booked an overnight stay on route to Southwold. Very clean, recently renovated to a great standard, nice decor. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice evening meal and breakfast, would recommend.

Arrived with 3 very hungry, small children. Could not have wished for a better welcome. Delightful waitress and someone who may have been manager/owner whose sense of humour was superb! The restaurant is bright, airy, tastefully decorated and very clean. Plenty of choice on the menu and served very quickly, was piping hot and little girls loved the fact their pizza was served on a wooden board. Any one who has an adverse comment could not have visited this restaurant on the night we did!

What a gem of a find. My husband and I stopped here on a long journey and was expecting just your bog standard pub grub.... NO! The quality of the food was exceptional. The service was excellent. I have been to swanky places where they charge you a fortune for the pretentious menu. This was better than any swanky place I've been. HIGHLY Recommend. ( I had chicken burger, again expecting body standard, it was so tasty.the little battered onions wheremoutg watering!)

We were lucky enough to be invited to lunch with some friends ☺️ service was excellent and the food was delicious 😋 I had the falafel burger and OMG it was amazing 😍 wouldn't have imagined that the ingredients of falafel, hummus and feta would work together but they did ! Atmosphere was lovely and we were often asked if there was anything else we wanted & if everything was ok - great customer service 😃 We'll be returning for sure 👍

What a hidden gem! The food is absolutely stunning, the decor is quirky and welcoming, if I could give more stars I would, would love to stay a week, just to sample the whole menu.

Very nice food, friendly staff, did not realise they close at 3.00. We were sitting in their lovely garden chatting with coffee, the owner/ chef (I assume) came asking to take our cups. It was 15:50 he never asked us to leave when we asked what time they finish. He was happy for us to stay in the garden and leave by the gate when we were ready, to allow him to lock the building.

Absolutely fantastic. I'd give 20 stars if I could. Wonderful food, obviously a talented chef using good quality fresh ingredients and amazing value for money too. It was no more expensive than a the usual out of the freezer rubbish. Oh, and the service was first class. Even the toilets were spotless. We called on the off chance as we were staying in the area. If you are or are local please go you'll be doing yourself a disservice if you don't. I only wish we lived closer to the Dove as it would be top of our list of regular haunts if we did. Well done to the team, we'll definitely be back when we're in the area.

I was beginning to think all this area had to offer was typical pub grub! By chance we found this place and what a surprise it was amazing! I love good freshly prepared food and that’s exactly what I got. Thumbs up to the chef, just wished I was local.

Visited Saturday evening, was a great place to eat, welcoming from the start, nice restaurant lovely refurbished with care and detail, staff friendly and attentive, food was excellent, presentation first class Steak cooked to perfection. Was well worth the visit and will certainly be back

Today’s special was a chicken and bacon pie. What a superb change to taste real chicken and pastry. Full of real chicken and bacon. Whole experience an absolute delight. Glad to welcome new owners and all best of luck for the future
